Even then I didn’t get to sit with my husband and completely squashed in with strangers. The earphones cost an extra €3 and didn’t even work. Seats hard and uncomfortable whilst being rattled around in the bus. Wasted our morning waiting around for this bus and you really don’t get to see much along the way unless you get off (but we didn’t want to wait another hour) It’s a waste of time and money. The canyon is narrow and it's cool to be walking high above along the mountain side. Looking up you will also see huge vultures soaring through the air. It's a fairly easy walk. Don't need any experience, but bring a good amount of water as it get's quite hot. The platform that you walk on is perfectly safe and stable, almost as walking on a road. You will not get an extreme sport feeling, but you can feast your eyes on beautiful nature. Julia Travel is trying to hard to be cost efficient with the arranged transport as the bus picks up people at way too many places. From Marbella the trip could take an hour, but it took 3 hours. Also the radios, more specifically the earbuds, are of too poor quality. We struggled understanding everything the guide talked about. Cred to the guide as she mentioned a lot of interesting stuff, but she also pushed the speed a little bit too much. So much that you can't really enjoy the trip as much as I'd liked (taking pictures, enjoying the views). My only “but” is we picked up the bus in Malaga. A 138 km journey took 3.5-4 hours with 15 pickups at each hotel for each guest. Yet the Malaga folks all had to assemble at one spot. And another 3.5 hours home. If you are from Malaga- rent a car, drive direct and book the tours to start onsite. The tour guide Edith explained everything very clearly and was lovely. Since the trail is one way only it never felt crowded. Groups moved at the same pace through the canyon. I am 75 and would have appreciated a bit more care to make sure older people could sit a bit, get a drink of water and catch their breath. I wish I had known there were a lot of uneven surfaces and a lot of narrow stairs. Not a trip for the feint of heart. I would have brought a walking stick. I’m fit and did just fine, but others might not realize that this could be a challenge. That said I recommend the tour and am so happy that I saw this amazing place. Read more Written April 12, 2024

Firstly getting on it was always full, there for nobody got off to allow people to get on, and it's a very high step to get on and the driver has the missing step but keeps it in his cabin. The ride around the city was totally inspiring, the train was extremely uncomfortable and not suitable for the bumpy and pothole roads. Could not see anything as it's too low, and the stop at Alambara Palace was not obvious and people didn't know wether to get off or not. This was the worst hop on off I have ever been on by a long way. We waited 30 minutes for the train. It was full next one 1 hr later. We had some lunch thought we'd try again and were unlucky enough to find the only two seats. Get on this train at your peril. Read more Written March 28, 2024

I think Soussi was fun, but he could have been a bit more interesting, telling us more histories and stories about Moroccan life. He tended to joke alot with the Spanish speakers, probably because there were so many compared to the English speakers who couldn't catch his jokes. (And jokes can't be translated into another language easily). He was very pleasant, but could have talked more in depth. The hotels were lacking in giving us opportunities to taste REAL local foods - I don't know why. This was a disappointment as my evening meals were already include in the tour. Why should I have to pay for local food tastings on a tour?? One local guide simply did not have the sensitivity or courtesy to honor those of us, namely myself, who could not keep up walking for one and one half hours without stopping!! This was in Marrakech and it really made my day difficult because I became so tired. The local tour guide in Fes was much more understanding and made a point to have stops (not walking; sitting opportunities). Local guides have a schedule/time line, I understand, but must cater to slower clients who can't walk non-stop!! The itinerary was great, alot to pack in the limited time of 6 days. I think the last day, day 7 was worthless in terms of experience, because it was just travel/expediting back to Spain. I wonder how much that would cost one for that transport as there was no 'guide', only expediter.
