Wow! What a holiday! Lake Garda didn't disappoint the place was beautiful! Our visits to Lemoine, Verona and Venice were superb. Much gratitude to our two drivers Steve and James who got us there safely and with great humour a credit to Ledgers! Hotel la Vela was very nice, clean comfy room with balcony, helpful staff, food a little disappointing but could always find something to eat. Park Inn Leige airport hotel was lovely on our first and last night of holiday, superb breakfast. All in all lovely holiday we will be back, thankyou

All Quiet on the Western Front

As always this was an excellent holiday. Having not tried a Battlefield Tour before my anxieties were immediately allayed by Mark Allen our excellent tour guide. His passion, knowledge, humour and patience shone through at all times. Dave our driver was the consummate professional. His quiet sense of humour and driving skills were outstanding. Due to being one driver only both Dave and Mark had to work extra hard to make sure all our expectations were managed and fulfilled. They did so again with aplomb. Novotel Centrum Ypres was comfortable and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and the central location made it easy to enjoy the numerous cafes in the town as well as the Menin gate ceremony. The content of the tour had something for everyone and I would heartily recommend it to any Battlefield newbies such as myself.

Everything was 200 percent perfect

Everything was 200 percent perfect. Thank you Heidi and Mick as they went the extra mile, were informative, helpful, knowledgable and knew when to be quiet. The weather was wet and misty which could not be helped, the food excellent, the hotel excellent and the hotel staff. A small hick up on the way home and a short wait in Swansea and a taxi driver that thought he was Billy Wizz. The coach was comfortable, the drivers skilled and stops were adequate and good locations.

Just been on the little trains of Austria

Just been on the little trains of Austria holiday with my mother. To be honest I could not fault anything, the coach was extremely comfortable, the hotel was really nice, lovely big rooms, two swimming pools with good food and service. But what made it a brilliant holiday was the two drivers Paul and Jonathan, they were knowledgeable, entertaining and made sure we all had a great time.

Just returned from Colditz

Just returned from Colditz, Dambusters & The Great Escape tour. Thoroughly recommend this trip to others. I knew there would be a lot of travelling, but if you want to see these places, then it is necessary. The coach was very comfortable, with plenty of legroom and an onboard toilet for those who needed it. It was a nice touch to be able to watch the well-known films The Colditz Story, The Dambusters and The Great Escape during the long coach journey, as well as other interesting dramas/documentaries. Our guide Norman was very knowledgeable and kept us informed in an interesting way before, during and after each visit verbally and with useful handouts. For example, he led the optional excursion around Berlin, taking in various key landmarks and pointing out changes to the layout since 1945. For me, Norman made the trip by providing any extra information he could to those of us who were visiting a relative's burial place for the first time, in my case the Berlin War Cemetery to leave a tribute to my cousin William J Craddock of 97 Squadron, killed in Jan 1944 during a night raid with Bomber Command. I have been on three Leger trips now, and enjoyed them all, but this one will have special memories. Thanks to all concerned.

Tour was High Lights of Spanish Coast…

Tour was High Lights of Spanish Coast and Barcelona. Not an enjoyable experience.. 17-13 hours on coaches outbound and inbound.. knew coach travel integral part of reaching destination but was not made aware of the length of time these journeys would be. Lots of swollen ankles! Drivers were below par based on previous experience.. seemed indifferent.. not very interactive with their group.. Gave out info sparingly..Optional trips were cancelled due to lack of numbers. Won’t be doing this type of holiday again …very disappointed .. it was more of an endurance test than a holiday. One to avoid!!

cruising the Danube to Vienna then coach to Austria Tyrol

coach drivers friendly helpful lovely cruise ship with a friendly crew,delicious lots of choice of food suitable for all allergies.beautiful scenery,good excursions.water,hot drinks available.made lots of friends.only down side on ship was noisy going through locks at night.lack of entertainment.The stay in Austria hotel not very good.Not much choice with food.Had to pay for water.Not much fruit or healthy choices.Austria fantastic though,beautiful.Fantastc day up the mountain on cable car then great town in Innsbruck and water fallsthe day before.very good orgaization.Enjoyed ourselves so much thankyou

Coach and river cruise

On the ship staff looked after us well although the man explaining next day’s excursions went on and on making it boring to listen to. Food was mixed, some good and some not so good like watery soup. Coach crew John and Anne Marie were extremely helpful and made the long journeys and excursions more enjoyable.

Great crew Anthea and Steve brilliant coach really nice, nice hotel in Belgium very nice, what a shame about hotel in Austria no bed side lights no shower only bath with mixer tap and hand shower with a hook to hang it up no riser rail would like to do holiday again but not at that hotel

Lovely resort

Lovely resort, friendly staff in the Hotel. Very disappointed with Drivers. Arrogant, gave wrong information and 15 hour journeys with 2 x 30 minute breaks plus I comfort stop was harrowing especially as some of those long days were spent looking for hotels!

Cruising the Danube to Vienna

Taxi arrived early but we were ready, transfer to feeder coach called “Grace” was great Neil & Glen the drivers were very cherry. Our main crew were Anne-Marie & Jon, they were fantastic, made everyone welcome, very bubbly. The holiday was brilliant, we were aboard the MS Serenade 1, lovey & comfortable ship, lovely spacious cabin, all crew friendly & eager to help. I asked for a softer pillow after the first night & when I got back after our excursion I had one, Hotel Sonnschien was very nice, lovely large room & comfortable. The food was not to everyone’s liking but that’s just the English taste I think. All in all we (party of 4) had a brilliant holiday. Our feeder coach with drivers Matt & Mark to start our journey home went very well, with a transfer at Gordano services to a smaller coach then on to meet our taxi home went smoothly for us.

Long Coach Travel

Time spent on the coach between cities was far too long. In order to beat the traffic we had to have 6am starts. Sometimes people overslept because we were so tired. The tour is not in proportion to sight seeing/travelling. Think carefully before booking this because the distances involved are vast. I should have thought twice.

Imperial cities tour

Imperial cities tour. There was too much coach travel and very early morning departures to cram the itinerary into the timeframe. Our tour drivers were excellent and impressed with their expert handling of very trying driving conditions…due to storm Boris. General organisation of feeder coaches etc was efficient. The three main cities were worth visiting even in the biblical deluge.

Croatia holiday

Coach and our drivers Rich and Marcus was good, bar service regular and plenty of choice. Overnight stops on our journey to Croatia were brilliant but the hotel in Croatia the Crystal Sunny is very dated, typical 70's style and.only offers a buffet service which means luke warm or cold food. The choices were not brilliant snd felt more like a staff canteen in a hospital. We tended to eat out during our trips then just have a light bite in the evening. Bar service, too was awful as you could only get served at the pool bar up to 1800hrs. Leger often use these lower class hotels as their main part of the tour as we had the same experience on the Spectacular Austria tour we did in 2022. Why? The overnight hotels are always far better. Because of this we have made the decision to travel with other operators in future, who offer a higher standard for the £3800 holiday cosy. One other suggestion is to print in your brochures that the loo facilities on Luxuria coaches are NOT expected to be used as we were constantly reminded yrt they drive for 3+ hours before taking breaks.

A fantastic holiday with Marcus & Richard

A fantastic holiday with Marcus and Richard in Austria! They were great drivers and provided excellent service in a friendly but professional way. Gasthof Ascherwirt was beautiful with tasty and substantial food and comfy rooms in a spectacular mountain setting. The excursions were well planned and interesting - Innsbruck, Krimml, Salzburg, Eagles Nest and the stunning Lake Ashensee. Luxuria coach Luna was a real treat with roomy, comfy chairs and seat back entertainment. Hotels on route were good - especially the Crowne Plaza. This was our first coach trip and we were very impressed with Leger. Jan Harrison and The Rabble.

AMAZING DANUBE RIVER CRUISE

This truly was a great trip, made absolutely perfect by our driver team, Annmarie and John. They were so friendly and cheerful, the very best team we've ever had! They were so genuinely enthusiastic, seemed like they loved the job, and were always so pleased to greet and chat to everyone on the coach. They initiated a great rapport amongst all of us, and even on the long haul bits, kept us entertained serving drinks, coming down the coach to chat to us, checking we were all OK, putting on 3 brilliant films and a quiz! Hooray for Annemarie and John!! and the itinerary itself was amazing too! We just packed so much in. The only suggestions for improvement we can think of are the following: Not too impressed with Irish Ferries (which is nothing to do with Ledger), and that some people on our trip were not too impressed with the food on the ship Serenade 1. The Coffee on the Irish Ferries ship we came home on was AWFUL!! However, everything else was brilliant - and the getting us there and back on the feeder coaches was so excellently done, too. We're booked on another trip for next year with you already!!

A great scenic tour to experience

Hotel was brilliant. Single room small but adequate, view over lake stunning. Food, staff, facilities very good. Upgraded to silver service coach which was great but drivers Heidi and Mick were very overbearing with their 'rules', both very annoying and unnecessary. They need to learn its not what you say, its the way that you say it. With different drivers this would have been a faultless holiday, shame their attitude was so dogmatic and unfriendly.

German Adventures, North to South, East to West top to bottom, side to side

The spread of the travel experience of the 'Grand Tour of Germany' gave me a wonderful, balanced view of towns, cities and countryside of this beautiful country. This holiday would not have been as successful without the calm guidance, thoughtful support and fine driving skills of Mark and Kevin. They delivered us to various places at great distances always arriving on schedule to meet up with the local tour guides. On top of that, Mark was fluent in German and had a wealth of historical and geographical knowledge which he related in an interesting, composed and relaxed manner (without any notes). I always felt safe and secure under their wings. As far as accommodation was concerned, there were strong contrasts. The hotels were generally good but it was disappointing that some had no air conditioning. When day-time temperatures were above 30 degrees C, the more elderly holidaymakers had difficulties. My hot, single room in the Black Forest hotel was the size of a cell with a low, narrow truckle bed. This was in extreme contrast with my magnificent room in Brussels where I felt pampered with a king-size bed. It is important that no parts of a holiday should feel sub-standard. All-in-all, I thank Leger for an enjoyable and well-organised holiday.

Coach and river cruise

On the ship staff looked after us well although the man explaining next day’s excursions went on and on making it boring to listen to. Food was mixed, some good and some not so good like watery soup. Coach crew John and Anne Marie were extremely helpful and made the long journeys and excursions more enjoyable.

Lovely resort

Lovely resort, friendly staff in the Hotel. Very disappointed with Drivers. Arrogant, gave wrong information and 15 hour journeys with 2 x 30 minute breaks plus I comfort stop was harrowing especially as some of those long days were spent looking for hotels!

Cruising the Danube to Vienna

Taxi arrived early but we were ready, transfer to feeder coach called “Grace” was great Neil & Glen the drivers were very cherry. Our main crew were Anne-Marie & Jon, they were fantastic, made everyone welcome, very bubbly. The holiday was brilliant, we were aboard the MS Serenade 1, lovey & comfortable ship, lovely spacious cabin, all crew friendly & eager to help. I asked for a softer pillow after the first night & when I got back after our excursion I had one, Hotel Sonnschien was very nice, lovely large room & comfortable. The food was not to everyone’s liking but that’s just the English taste I think. All in all we (party of 4) had a brilliant holiday. Our feeder coach with drivers Matt & Mark to start our journey home went very well, with a transfer at Gordano services to a smaller coach then on to meet our taxi home went smoothly for us.

Long Coach Travel

Time spent on the coach between cities was far too long. In order to beat the traffic we had to have 6am starts. Sometimes people overslept because we were so tired. The tour is not in proportion to sight seeing/travelling. Think carefully before booking this because the distances involved are vast. I should have thought twice.

Imperial cities tour

Imperial cities tour. There was too much coach travel and very early morning departures to cram the itinerary into the timeframe. Our tour drivers were excellent and impressed with their expert handling of very trying driving conditions…due to storm Boris. General organisation of feeder coaches etc was efficient. The three main cities were worth visiting even in the biblical deluge.

Croatia holiday

Coach and our drivers Rich and Marcus was good, bar service regular and plenty of choice. Overnight stops on our journey to Croatia were brilliant but the hotel in Croatia the Crystal Sunny is very dated, typical 70's style and.only offers a buffet service which means luke warm or cold food. The choices were not brilliant snd felt more like a staff canteen in a hospital. We tended to eat out during our trips then just have a light bite in the evening. Bar service, too was awful as you could only get served at the pool bar up to 1800hrs. Leger often use these lower class hotels as their main part of the tour as we had the same experience on the Spectacular Austria tour we did in 2022. Why? The overnight hotels are always far better. Because of this we have made the decision to travel with other operators in future, who offer a higher standard for the £3800 holiday cosy. One other suggestion is to print in your brochures that the loo facilities on Luxuria coaches are NOT expected to be used as we were constantly reminded yrt they drive for 3+ hours before taking breaks.

A fantastic holiday with Marcus & Richard

A fantastic holiday with Marcus and Richard in Austria! They were great drivers and provided excellent service in a friendly but professional way. Gasthof Ascherwirt was beautiful with tasty and substantial food and comfy rooms in a spectacular mountain setting. The excursions were well planned and interesting - Innsbruck, Krimml, Salzburg, Eagles Nest and the stunning Lake Ashensee. Luxuria coach Luna was a real treat with roomy, comfy chairs and seat back entertainment. Hotels on route were good - especially the Crowne Plaza. This was our first coach trip and we were very impressed with Leger. Jan Harrison and The Rabble.

AMAZING DANUBE RIVER CRUISE

This truly was a great trip, made absolutely perfect by our driver team, Annmarie and John. They were so friendly and cheerful, the very best team we've ever had! They were so genuinely enthusiastic, seemed like they loved the job, and were always so pleased to greet and chat to everyone on the coach. They initiated a great rapport amongst all of us, and even on the long haul bits, kept us entertained serving drinks, coming down the coach to chat to us, checking we were all OK, putting on 3 brilliant films and a quiz! Hooray for Annemarie and John!! and the itinerary itself was amazing too! We just packed so much in. The only suggestions for improvement we can think of are the following: Not too impressed with Irish Ferries (which is nothing to do with Ledger), and that some people on our trip were not too impressed with the food on the ship Serenade 1. The Coffee on the Irish Ferries ship we came home on was AWFUL!! However, everything else was brilliant - and the getting us there and back on the feeder coaches was so excellently done, too. We're booked on another trip for next year with you already!!

A great scenic tour to experience

Hotel was brilliant. Single room small but adequate, view over lake stunning. Food, staff, facilities very good. Upgraded to silver service coach which was great but drivers Heidi and Mick were very overbearing with their 'rules', both very annoying and unnecessary. They need to learn its not what you say, its the way that you say it. With different drivers this would have been a faultless holiday, shame their attitude was so dogmatic and unfriendly.

German Adventures, North to South, East to West top to bottom, side to side

The spread of the travel experience of the 'Grand Tour of Germany' gave me a wonderful, balanced view of towns, cities and countryside of this beautiful country. This holiday would not have been as successful without the calm guidance, thoughtful support and fine driving skills of Mark and Kevin. They delivered us to various places at great distances always arriving on schedule to meet up with the local tour guides. On top of that, Mark was fluent in German and had a wealth of historical and geographical knowledge which he related in an interesting, composed and relaxed manner (without any notes). I always felt safe and secure under their wings. As far as accommodation was concerned, there were strong contrasts. The hotels were generally good but it was disappointing that some had no air conditioning. When day-time temperatures were above 30 degrees C, the more elderly holidaymakers had difficulties. My hot, single room in the Black Forest hotel was the size of a cell with a low, narrow truckle bed. This was in extreme contrast with my magnificent room in Brussels where I felt pampered with a king-size bed. It is important that no parts of a holiday should feel sub-standard. All-in-all, I thank Leger for an enjoyable and well-organised holiday.

Hotel was a let down but tour was good

D-DAY LANDINGS (4 DAY TOUR) Hotel was a let down, refused to serve dinner and tea because of a lack of staff, vodka and coke was €11. The position of this hotel doesn't suit the tour at all. A positive is that the breakfast was nice and lots of choice. The tour itself is fast paced and time restricted so you don't get a proper look around. But with the time we did have the tour guide (Ian) was brilliant and very knowledgeable. The staff on the coach are a credit and look after you well. Advise - use a hotel closer to the beaches because ibis falaise doesn't fit the itinery very well and takes even more time to get to the beaches.

Excellent Trip

Marcus and Richard were both excellent tour guides and really helped to make the All Inclusive Austria Tour a success. The itinerary was well planned out, but the number of small Austrian ski resorts did get a bit repetitive, however Marcus and Richard did a great job of enhancing the final day with a trip to Rattenberg which mixed things up nicely. The Innsbruck tour was a highlight, the guide's grasp of the English language was brilliant and as such his tour was entertaining and informative. The boat trip on the final day at Achensee was nice but lasted a bit long given the coffee and cake was served immediately and the trip itself was covering the same ground. If it was of the whole lake it might be a bit more interesting. The hotel in Austria was great, though their pillows were very poor, everything else was top notch and I would happily stay there again. The overnight hotels in Brussels were also an improvment on the ones I stayed in last year on a Shearings trip to Austria (Salzburg, Vienna, Mondsee etcetera). Overall I would definitely do this trip again, and would recommend it highly to others as well.

The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.

I recently went on a 12 day trip called:- The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. I had hoped to get on the earlier trip which would have been cheaper by £300 but as it happened and (being a bucket list trip), I just about afforded this on top of an expensive 'single supplement' not knowing that the upgrade was to travel by Luxuria. Fortunately, I had the best seat on the coach with plenty of leg room because there were 8 seats free. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the "whole" trip and the guide Mr David McCormack was absolutely brilliant; faultless in fact and the two driver's Mark and Nick were excellent in every sense. All 3 are an asset to Leger's and they are lucky to have them at their behest. We had a great bunch of traveller's onboard and I met some really good friends resulting in a WhatsApp group. Apart from the extortionate single-supplements, I have no hesitation in recommending this particular trip. As a consequence of my experience, I booked a further holiday with Leger and a lovely lady by the name of Adelle sorted me out and gave brilliant service and information.

What a fantastic experience

What a fantastic experience. Cannot fault Leger at all. Our drivers Paul and Johnathan Wallis were the ultimate professionals with a sense of humor that kept us in stitches. Information was spot on and relayed clearly and efficiently. The Park Hotel in Kilmarnock was spotless, the food amazing and all the staff were a delight. There was a lot packed into five days but it was well worth it. So pleased with Leger that I've booked 15days over Christmas and New Year to Italy. Keep up the good work Leger.

Beautiful holiday in every respect.

My son and I returned from our holiday - Summertime Alpine Highlights and Swiss Mountains Railways. We had a wonderful time from beginning to end made even more enjoyable by our two drivers, Paul and Bart. You couldn’t have chosen two nicer people to accompany us. They were both kind, funny and more than helpful in every respect. The whole holiday was a wonderful experience with such beautiful scenery, a nice hotel (except for the last night near Paris where there wasn’t even a bar for a drink and snacks - however our drivers had forewarned us so we did buy something to eat in our rooms at the previous stop on the motorway and had told us we could try and eat something in a place near the hotel). We were so lucky with the weather which was a bonus. I would fully recommend this trip. PLEASE convey our thanks to both Paul and Bart and if they work together as a team on other trips they will be a great asset. Many thanks.

The hotel left the bed as a double but only gave a single cover I asked for more cover but did not get what I wanted the hotel was old fashion I am sure there are better hotels also no tea making in the rooms also no English speaking to I was really disappointed with the main hotel before I book with you again I will view the hotel

Had a fantastic time, only downside was the hotel owner very rude made to feel unwelcome. You have 2 brilliant drivers especially Chris who was very helpful, friendly? , funny and a genuinely nice guy who helped everyone, definitely would Tavel with them again.

Picturebook Italy

We went on the 12 day Picturebook Italy tour at the end of July. Overall we had a lovely time, even though it was very hot throughout and we stayed in some hotels that had no air conditioning which was very uncomfortable. Our enjoyment was enhanced by the great tour reps we had, Pete and Sandra who looked after us so well, and our fellow travellers on the Luxuria Coach. There was a lot of travelling involved, 2 days to get to Italy and 2 days to return although both the overnight hotels we stopped at were very nice. There was also some wonderful scenery to admire, especially returning home through Switzerland. We visited many places, beginning at Lake Garda and taking in Venice, Rome, Sorrento, Florence,Pisa and finishing at Lake Maggiore, so it required a lot of early starts and stopping at a number of different hotels of varying quality! Nevertheless as a taster for seeing different parts of Italy it was very enjoyable, although travelling by Luxuria is a must due to the amount of time that is spent on the coach.

In Good Hands

I was nervous going Abroad alone for the first time. But Leger made everything easy,even being picked up/returned door -to -door. Well organised trip and all the staff cared about their customers and put a lot of effort into ensuring our safety and comfort/smooth transitions.You never felt abandoned. Lots of fun too -fellow Solo’s really friendly,but you could go off alone if preferred.The drivers were approachable ,happy to explain how to get to places of interest on days out. We all ate together in the evening,so no awkward phone/book-reading.... I would recommend Leger for value for money and have already booked my next holiday!

Great service, terrific crew, lovely holiday.

This was an excellent holiday, with a really terrific crew, Mark and Nick, who both looked after us all extremely well for the 9 days. Our Luxuria coach was super, very comfortable, and kept immaculately clean, with really sparkling wheels ! cleaned and polished every day. We have been on more than 20 Leger trips over the years, and this was certainly our best crew.

Broadway Park Hotel

Excellent bank holiday weekend on the Isle of Wight at the Broadway Park Hotel. All the staff did so much to make the scooterists welcome. I will definitely go back for the scooter rally in 2025 and plan to make my booking with Ledger as it was so easy. Good points:- Nice clean double room and a good size. Nice cooked breakfast eat as much as you like. Good entertainment in evening. Ample and safe parking. Dinner bed and breakfast at a fair rate. The hotel could do with a face lift as it is a bit dated and the bar prices are steep even for a hotel.

We did the D Day landings trip

We did the D Day landings trip. Mark the tour guide was excellent, plenty of information around the logistics of the war. Dean and Lawrence the drivers were amazing, nothing too much trouble. Hotel was an Ibis 3 star which was fine for us. Food nice and bar well stocked . Only downside was the transfer from stop 24 to Bristol, drivers lovely but seats very cramped so very uncomfortable. All in all the trip was fantastic with lots of stops and talks

Wonderful Holiday in Tuscany

Thank you Leger, and especially Roddy and Dave our drivers, for a wonderful holiday in Tuscany. This wasn't the first coach holiday I've done, so I was better prepared than some of my fellow travellers for the distances and times involved. It's important for anyone thinking of doing a coach holiday for the first time to appreciate they involve not only long periods of time travelling but also early starts and, occasionally, late evening dinners. If you don't like the idea of those perhaps it's not for you. However, if you can deal with those you will be rewarded with an amazing experience. I have just returned from the Treasures of Tuscany holiday. I was picked up from my door at 6.15am by a very good taxi driver who took me to the ferry coach at Havant - no stressful waiting for a private taxi. The feeder coach took me along the south coast picking up several people, one of whom was 30 minutes late. Luckily, though frustrating, this sort of problem is planned for so we still arrived at Stop 24 for our main coach no problem. If I have one criticism it's Stop 24. We were told the Tannoy system wasn't great - it isn't. It's not loud, or clear, with people actually shouting coach loading times. The screens are hard to read from the back of the hall. However, those apart, it works well and I don't have a problem with it. Here we loaded onto our Silver Service coach which was good. I had enough leg room and there was the option of listening to music or soundtracks from films on the main screen. The seats were comfortable. We met two of the highlights of our holiday. Roddy and Dave. I'm a guide at an international tourist attraction and I deal with thousands of people every year. When I do tours in the winter, when it's quieter, they last 45 minutes and I do maybe 4 or 5 in a day. I know how to deal with people and do my best to make their day a memorable and great time. I am in awe of Roddy and Dave for their friendliness, professionalism, humour and care over the nine days. Excellent. Not only are they great drivers - no hard breaking, speeding etc - just comfortable and you could drink your coffee without them sending it over your lap. They really looked after us too. The gentleman sitting next to me had hearing problems and they wrote down all the times he needed to be on time. On one of the excursions, so he didn't get lost, Dave said "I'll come with you and we can get lost together". If you travel on your own, as I do by choice, it's that care and knowing people are looking out for you, that brings me back. You won't get left behind. Now to the holiday. Two days there. These were fine even when it was Biblical rainfall on the way down - again good driving. The overnight hotels were ok for what they were. No complaints. First excursion - Florence. Stunning place. We were met by a guide, a lady, and we went up in the coach to Piazzale Michelangelo to look out across the city - beautiful. Then back down into the city. Be careful, if you are trying to listen and keep up with the guide as there're bikes, cars, mopeds etc and a lot of other groups to get mixed up in. Around lunchtime she let us go our own way and I explored a bit and had an excellent pizza. Food and drink prices are very good, I was surprised. Our main hotel was very nice but had a bit of a problem getting to grips with me being a vegetarian, and my three travel companions who were too. We had spinach and chips first day. But for next three evenings the food was much better and more interesting and the restaurant staff were very friendly and good fun. I did the Isle of Elba excursion which was fantastic. We were blessed with excellent weather and the ferry trip over and back were lovely. We were met by a guide who talked as Dave drove us round the island to Napoleon's house. It's historically important and set in beautiful scenery with stunning views. It was a highlight for me. Day 5, Siena. My word, when you first see this town it makes you gasp - it is so beautiful. We were let loose on our own and I explored as many places as I could and ate a magnificent ice-cream, again good value for money. Then on to San Gimignano. A beautiful town in stunning scenery again. Just wonderful. Day 6 Cinque Terre. Our only day of glum weather. Coach to La Spezia then met guide who got us on to the train to Cinque Terre. On our visit there was a yellow gale warning and the waves were crashing against the rocks. Far from making this a bad day it actually made it spectacular. We visited the harbour and the waves were crashing over the sea wall - fantastic. Last excursions - Pisa and Lucca. Pisa - you step through the gate and it takes your breath away. Everything has been cleaned recently and is bright white. Lucca lovely I loved this trip. I was planning my next on the coach home. It's not for everyone, but look at how much you see and it's amazing. Andiamo

Disappointed

Niall excellent informative guide. Unfortunately we were advised unable to use toilet; as driver announced at Dover they had done back to back tour therefore toilet half full, relieving myself in a woodland not my idea of a Luxuria tour, but had to on 2 occassions. On Wednesday we could use if an emergency as no toilets at sites visiting. Only 1 driver Tuesday and Thursday therefore no hot drinks served. Driver stated he did not want grass on coach therefore dust sheet put down H & S issue. No DVD player on coach therefore guide unable to play information relevant to the tour. Only 15 minutes for breakfast last day 6.30am pick up. Seem to cater for Legers requirements and not the traveller....

This review is literally only the booking element. Firstly very very easy. The call handler whose name I sadly missed was not just helpful but went the extra mile. We booked two holidays with him - fire and ice and wonders of Pompeii and Rome, I mentioned what a great room we had at the hotel on a previous Rome trip - he made a note to advise the hotel that we would like the same room - outstanding customer service ! and not only that he was polite , courteous and extremely helpful - well done.

Italy Experience

Very enjoyable holiday in Italy but travelling there and back was very tiresome. The Luxuria coach did not meet our expectations for comfortable travel, not conducive to good sleeping arrangements. We understood from your information that the excursion to Rome was a guided tour by coach and walking but this was not the case. Instead arrangements were made for local hop on, hop off buses to visit sites. Very little guidance given, just left to sort it out ourselves, relying on locals providing directions to the various sites. Very disappointing. On a bright note the hotel was very good and the manager tended to my wife's injured arm following a fall. Room was comfortable and breakfast very good, plenty of choice. I would also point out that the drivers Steve and Anthea were excellent. Overall a good holiday with some reservations.
