This American-style steak house serves select Linz Heritage Angus beef, gold standard in high-end Angus beef thanks to the best genetics in breed. The highest quality product custom cut by master butchers and aged to perfection. The menu is inspired by the great plains and it is accompanied by bold New World wines and cocktails with swagger.

The 2012-built MSC Divina cruise ship is the third of MSC's Fantasia-class liners, with sisterships Fantasia , Preziosa , Splendida .

The vessel (IMO number 9585285) is currently Panama- flagged (MMSI 373178000) and registered in Colon .

History - construction and ownership

MSC Cruises (MSC Crociere) is a passenger shipping company headquartered in Genoa and Naples . It was established in 1960. Today, MSC Crociere is a subsidiary of MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company) - the world's 2nd largest containership company . MSC Crociere is the world's largest privately-owned cruise company.

By annual passenger shipping volumes, MSC is ranked the world's 3rd largest cruise shipowner - following only Carnival Corporation and RCG-Royal Caribbean Group .

In 2014 MSC announced that its four Lirica class ships were scheduled for renovation under the line's "Renaissance Programme". In 2015, the company offered four new ships from STX France and Fincantieri Italy, with an option for three more. The first two vessels are due to be delivered in 2017 - Meraviglia in May and  Seaside  in November.

The 4000-passenger ship MSC Divina is among the largest ships in MSC Cruises fleet. Her size is not the only thing that is impressive – over 80% of all cabins provide perfect ocean views and many of them have private luxurious step-out balconies. 

Decks and Cabins

MSC Divina staterooms (1751 total, in 12 grades) include 99x Suites, 1133x Balcony, 116x Oceanview, 405x Inside. Most staterooms are Balcony (sized 190 ft2 / 18 m2) with cabin balconies sized 40 ft2 / 4 m2. The largest accommodations are the Yacht Club Royal Suites (400 ft2 / 37 m2, with wraparound terrace sized 170 ft2 / 16 m2).

The boat has 17 decks , of which 14 are passenger-accessible and 9 with cabins.

MSC Divina decks are named after Greek gods and goddesses.

Shipboard dining options - Food and Drinks

The vessel offers two dining rooms. MSC Divina ship’s main restaurant is situated on two floors, and there is also the panoramic restaurant Texmex, featuring an open kitchen. Other amenities include the French cuisine a la carte restaurant, pizzeria and wine bar with cafeteria and gastronomic food. With all that good food guests are never disappointed.

• Caffe Italia (58-seat specialty coffees bar/a la carte surcharge, with complimentary cookies and pastries, serving Cappucino, American Coffee, Espresso Martini, coffee packages, size 258 m2, Deck 7)
• La Cantina Di Bacco (110-seat Italian Pizzeria and wine bar- tapas, pizzas, every day new food and wine specialties; open 1pm-2am, size 340 m2, Deck 7)
• Butcher's Cut (96-seat steakhouse restaurant with exclusive Chef's Table, size 435 m2, Deck 7) is at fixed charge pp (EUR 49, pre-set menu) or with ordering from an a la carte priced menu. The steakhouse offers brunch (sea days only) with a la carte menu (omelets, carnitas, sandwiches, pancakes, surf-and-turf, desserts, premium wines. Butcher's Cut is open for lunch and dinner.
• Calumet (forward, 475 seats, size 1288 m2) and Manitou (aft, 451 seats, size 882 m2) Buffet Restaurants on Deck 14 (open 6am-3am, self-service complimentary cafeterias with different food stations- Grill Corner (hot dogs, burgers, wraps), Pasta, Pizza, Carving Show (meat cuts), Ethnic Corner (vegetable and meat curries), Mediterranean, Bakery, Children corner (healthy food; open for Breakfast 6:30-11am, Lunch 12-5:30pm and Dinner 7-10pm, the Pizzeria station is open 12-6pm).

MSC Divina cruise ship has a casino, 4D interactive cinema, library, show lounge and disco, Internet cafe, virtual reality centre. The tiered theatre provides multilingual entertainment. For those who love sports, there are five pools, a fitness centre and SPA, sauna and twelve jacuzzis. Itineraries

MSC Divina itinerary program is based on 7-day Caribbean cruises from Miami FL , and 7-day Western Mediterranean sailings from Civitavecchia-Rome , Naples and Barcelona . Divina operates cheap Transatlantic repositioning crossings between Europe and Florida.

In 2019, a small fleet of 3 MSC ships will offer Caribbean roundtrips from Miami Florida - Seaside , Meraviglia and Divina.

In early-June 2020, MSC announced that in 2021 Divina will be homeported in Port Canaveral Florida USA for 3- to 7-night roundtrips with departures on Thursdays and Sundays. Port Canaveral is the cruise port to Orlando City - one of the country's most popular travel destinations and also considered Walt Disney's "capital city".

• Divina's Maiden Voyage from the new MSC homeport departed on September 16, 2021. This was also the ship's first commercial voyage following the pause due to the Coronavirus crisis.
• The itineraries (3-4-7-day in length) visit call ports in The Bahamas ( Nassau , MSC Ocean Cay ) and Mexico ( Cozumel , Costa Maya ).
• Divina's 2021 homeporting in Port Canaveral was between Sept 16 - Nov 21, followed by homeporting in Miami.
• The next Port Canaveral season was scheduled for 2022 (starting on April 8).
• The voyages can be combined into B2Bs/back-to-back cruises with lengths 10-11-14-days.

Divina is MSC's largest Fantasia-class liner, with sisterships Fantasia ,  Preziosa ,  Splendida . One of the newest and largest MSC liners (Inaugural cruise May 27, 2012), Divina was originally ordered as "MSC Fantastica", and later renamed to honor the actress Sophia Loren.

The "Sophia Loren" Royal Suite (designed for and with her help) is number 16007 (category YC3 "Yacht Club Royal Suite", located deck 16).

Ship's infinity pool is located at "Top 18 Exclusive Solarium" adult-only serenity complex (a premium deck space).

Msc Divina Overview

The divine MSC Divina is the only ship at sea with a suite designed by Sophia Loren, legendary Italian actress and the ship’s godmother. The suite is decorated with photos of the actress throughout her life and features bright red carpet and furniture. The MSC Divina also has an infinity pool along the back of the ship and two Swarovski crystal staircases. But this cruise experience is more than just good looks. Delicious cuisine is served at every meal, from the laid back Sacramento Tex Mex restaurant to the elegant Black Crab restaurant. For fun, head to the ship’s theater or shake it up at the evening disco.
