Trek Domane SL 6 is a professional carbon road for riders who compete regularly in races, sportives, and cycling events.

I’m wondering about a point that was made in your review. You state that the IsoSpeed decouples the steerer tube and seat tube from the frame, but the Generation 4 Domane under review only has a rear IsoSpeed decoupler. (You can see this if you follow your link to the Trek web site for the bike under review.) The last Domane that had both front and rear IsoSpeed was Generation 3, which was discontinued in 2022.

There’s a decent likelihood that if you see someone riding a Trek road bike from the last decade or so, it was the brand’s Domane model. The ubiquity stems largely from its fit geometry, which has historically been very welcoming to riders of all abilities. Furthermore, the Domane’s unique IsoSpeed decoupling suspension system promised levels of comfort that other road bikes couldn’t quite match.

The IsoSpeed suspension system lives on in this latest Trek Domane SL road bike, but the rest of the package might be the biggest change we’ve seen with the Domane yet. There’s aero tube shaping, a lighter frame, and an added sense of performance that wasn’t quite there with previous Domane SL bikes.

We spent 1,000 miles on the Trek Domane to find out just how good the Domane is, whether that pursuit for speed has removed any form of comfort, and the potential downsides of living with a bike like the Trek Domane SL.

Frame details

The Trek Domane is known for being an approachable road bike. Much of that comes down to handling geometry that values straight-line stability over race bike agility. Its fit geometry is more accommodating of a non-competitive cyclist than other bikes in its category.

The IsoSpeed seat tube flex system isolates riders from road vibration in a way few other bikes do. And while there are a number of changes to the latest Domane SL, most of those characteristics carry on.

IsoSpeed is a critical component of any recent Trek Domane road bike. Previous generations really went for it, offering not only adjustable rear IsoSpeed systems but even a front-end system to balance comfort between the two ends. This latest system essentially overhauls IsoSpeed, largely for the better.

Most notable is that this latest iteration is said to offer as much flex as the softest setting in previous IsoSpeed systems while using a simpler D-shaped seat post. Previous Iterations of IsoSpeed used a carbon seat mast to offer the flex they wanted, but it was far more fiddly to use than this simpler system.

The front IsoSpeed system is gone, as the swap from 28 mm to 32 mm is said to be plenty comfortable. The fact that this system has far fewer moving parts and wear items should result in fewer creaks and durability issues compared to previous-generation systems. Trek says the system needs no servicing for the lifetime of the bicycle, and I never had issues with it in my time with the bike.

The Domane SL isn’t a particularly light bike. Some of that comes from the addition of a downtube storage hatch located under the bottle cage mount. Inside is a neoprene mini tool sleeve as well as plenty of space to add more snacks and perhaps a vest should you need to. It’s a genuinely useful storage area, with a sturdy latch and hatch system.

Trek’s Domane continues with internal cable routing, though this system is among the more refined systems I’ve seen and worked with. Cables are external at the bars until they’re routed under the stem, leaving some slack to play with stem height. And while the spacer profiling limits what types of stems you can swap with, doing the swap itself is an easy enough process that almost anyone can manage.

The internal routing system itself is one of the better setups I’ve seen. A guide at the inside of the downtube includes a holster for the Shimano Di2 battery, with guides for brake hoses and cable housing easily accessible from the downtube storage hatch. It’s easy to work on, all things considered.

Tire clearance has always been a strong suit of the Domane, and that hasn’t changed. Max clearance is a quoted 700c x 38 mm tire. I was able to fit a 40 mm (42 mm width as measured) Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H tire front and rear without rubbing. That clearance makes light gravel and dirt road riding doable, but it would be problematic on a muddy or chunky ride.

Other bits of note include the use of a T47 threaded bottom bracket, the addition of top tube bag mounts, and hidden fender mounts. The frame gets its own integrated chain keeper, a nice touch that indicates the general user-friendliness of the bike.

The build brought in for review was the Trek Domane SL 6 Gen 4. The highlight of the bike is the Shimano 105 Di2 drivetrain. The Bontrager Paradigm 25 wheels feature tubeless-ready alloy rims with a wide 25 mm internal width. The 32 mm Bontrager R3 Hard-Case tires, Bontrager Verse Short saddle, and Bontrager alloy handlebars complete the build.

A size 56 cm bike has a quoted weight of 8.62 kg (19 pounds. My 50 cm build weighed in at 8.5 kg (18.73 pounds) without pedals and accessories but with tubes in the tires.

The Domane has a reputation for being an upright road bike with handling that might be best described as stable. While the bike is stable, the geometry is far more agile than you’d expect.

Trail figures are around 59 to 61 cm across just about every size but the 44 cm bike. Handling geometry is quick enough for most people, though the low 75 to 80 mm bottom bracket drop and 420 mm chainstays add some straight-line stability back.

Fit geometry and rider positioning can be considered as upright, with a taller stack height and short reach dimensions. These numbers are taller and shorter respectively than even most all-road bikes, but I’d argue the numbers are realistic for most riders. Those looking for a more than 6 cm of saddle to bar drop (particularly on small sizes) will be better suited to something like their Emonda or Madone road bikes.

Standover heights across most sizes are about as low as I’ve seen on an endurance road bike, which is helpful for the height-challenged among us.

Riding the Trek Domane SL

The value of the Domane doesn’t necessarily come from its cost or its tech-forward features, but rather in its promise of being a comfortable, approachable road bike. That isn’t lost here: the Domane is one of the most approachable road bikes you’ll find and an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a road bike.

The Domane rides as smoothly as it always has on smooth tarmac and chip-seal. The way the bike goes about smoothing out those small, constant vibrations is impressive. Roads I remember as feeling particularly jostling felt far smoother, both at the saddle and at the bars.

Much of that smoothness comes down to the 32 mm wide tires, which are wider than you’d find on most other all-road and endurance bikes out of the box. That said, narrower tires didn’t detract much from the bike’s smoothness over chip seal-type surfaces. Stay seated, and let the rear end of the bike do its job.

As much as I liked the Domane SL, the bike didn’t feel as eager as I would have hoped. Steeper climbs and even pedaling from a stop indicated that much of that came down to rotational weight. But with a set of carbon wheels and a good set of 30 mm tires, the Domane really woke up.

A set of Hunt Aerodynamicst 44 wheels and 30 mm Vittoria Corsa Pro Control tires gave the bike the feel of a bike far more willing to not only get up to speed but maintain it as well. If you’re itching to make an upgrade, rest assured that a decent set of carbon wheels – like their own Bontrager Aeolus Pro 37V – wake the bike up dramatically.

The stock Bontrager wheels are serviceable otherwise. They’re on the heavy side at over 1950 grams with tubeless tape and valves, but spoke tension and overall build felt like they were going to last. As serviceable as they are, however, it helps to know that you a swap to mid-range Hunt carbon wheels cut over 1 pound (520 grams) from the weight of the bike.

The Bontrager R3 Hard-Case Lite tires are grippy and seem to be long-lasting. That said, I felt the tires felt stiff and slow. A simple tire upgrade alone makes the bike feel considerably more eager.

I found little fault in the rest of the build kit. Shimano 105 Di2 works phenomenally, with quick shifts and gearing plenty low for fondos. The Bontrager Verse Short saddle is wonderfully supportive for how soft the saddle feels. The Bontrager short-reach handlebar choice deserves some praise; its 38 cm width in a 50 cm frame is smaller than most product planners choose but the right size for smaller folks.

The Domane SL rubbed me the wrong way

There was one notable fault I found with the bike, however: the IsoSpeed cover rubbed the inside of my legs on a 125 mile (200 km) road ride enough to create a rash.

A bit about me: I am fairly small at 5 foot, 6 inches and 130 pounds (59 kg) in kit. My legs aren’t particularly big, but they aren’t as lean as they could be either. I’ve received a professional fit and matched that fit onto the Domane SL to ensure my cleats (and feet) are roughly where they should be.

Here’s what the lead engineer of the Domane SL had to say:

“The Domane SL maintains the same thigh clearance as used on other road bikes. How far the max width carries up the seat tube can very slightly between models and this variation may be what you are experiencing compared to another Trek road bike. If it is an issue you could try going to a smaller size which moves his saddle up compared to the frame.”

The Domane SL top tube is wide, particularly as it approaches the seat tube junction. It’s wider at the seat tube junction than any other road bike I’ve ridden this year, though I don’t usually have problems with wide top tubes. The design weakness comes is the location of the IsoSpeed cover; the plastic cover seemed placed perfectly to rub the inside of my legs just above my knee raw.

Could I have sized down? Not really. I was on a 50 cm frame with the seat post extended to its minimum insertion point. Any smaller and I would need a drastically longer stem that would alter the handling Trek intended the Domane to have from the factory. Ultimately, some helicopter tape along the seam stopped the rub, but should I have to do that with a new frame?

Like as with any other bike, give the Domane a test ride before you buy it, particularly if you’re smaller or have bigger thighs like I do. I suspect I am in a very, very small majority of folks to experience this. Considering how many Trek bike dealers there are in the world, it should be easy enough to take the bike for a spin.

The Trek Domane SL 6 vs the competition

Call it an endurance road bike or an all-road bike, this segment is one of the most competitive segments you’ll find. The three endurance road bikes I’ve ridden in recent memory are the BMC Roadmachine , Canyon Endurace , and Cannondale Synapse . The Domane offers the most upright fit geometry, but all are fairly comfortable to ride for the average cyclist.

Surprisingly, I found the Domane to have the quickest steering of the bunch. Despite that, it feels about as stable in a straight line as the other bikes. Add in the IsoSpeed system that seemed to smooth out chipseal as well if not better than the other bikes too as well as its internal frame storage and the Domane starts to stand out.

The Endurace edges the other three bikes out on value for money, offering Shimano Ultegra Di2 and nicer tires at a lower price point. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if you were able to find the Trek, BMC, or Cannondale on sale at a local bike shop, in which case you start to find good value for the money.

I would also take a close look at the Trek Domane AL , one of the most impressive bikes I’ve ridden in recent memory. It might lack the ultimate polish and ride smoothness of the carbon bikes, but the handling, rider fit, and wide 32 mm tires are still there. It’s a fantastic bike.

Choose the Domane SL if you’re looking for about as smooth a ride as you’ll find, want internal frame storage, and need the ultimate warranty support that comes from seemingly having a Trek dealer on every block.

Long story short, I came away surprised by the bike. The latest generation Domane SL is every bit as smooth as you’d expect a Domane to be, and an approachable bike too. There’s a reason why it’s a go-to recommendation for most cyclists: the Domane reliably ticks every box for most road cyclists.

You pay for the privilege of riding the Domane, but considering how smooth the bike is over tarmac, I’m sure a vast majority of riders will be more than happy with it. The clearance for gravel bike tires, the internal frame storage, and the general refinement of the bike are all icing on what is a truly versatile all-road bike.

Just make sure you ride it so it doesn’t rub you the wrong way.

A bit weighty

The major issue with making cutting-edge aero bikes is that it’s expensive to recoup the huge development costs. So how has Trek managed to squeeze the Madone chassis replete with IsoSpeed rear suspension into this price category?

The answer lies in the front-end as Trek has done away with the expensive integrated bar and stem system and replaced it with a more cost-effective combination of alloy Bontrager Pro stem and Aero VR-CF handlebar.

Cable integration, however, is still tidy because Trek has designed a set of headset spacers and top cap that still route all the cables and hydraulic hoses down the head tube in front of the steerer.

The frame is designed around Trek’s KVF tube profiles (Kammtail Virtual Foil), which looks like a shortened aero dynamic wing cross-section with the long tail section chopped, ‘cheating’ the air into believing it’s a long airfoil, making for a less turbulent path through the air.

The idea behind dropping seatstays on modern bike design is two-fold: it minimises the stays, thus reducing drag, and it allows the seat tube and seatpost to have more unsupported length, which allows flex.

Trek with the unique design of the Madone and its IsoSpeed back-end means it doesn’t have to drop the stays for comfort or minimise the size of the stays for flex because IsoSpeed isolates the seat tube from the stays and top tube.

The freedom of the seat tube to move fore and aft is controlled by an elastomer. The tension in the system is adjustable by undoing the Allen head bolt on the damper and the Allen head bolt on the underside of the top tube, then pushing the seat tube forward and sliding the adjuster to your desired setting.

Trek claims that the Madone offers twice the compliance of any of its rivals with the IsoSpeed design, and as soon as you get out on the road it’s easy to see why.

The system eliminates wearing vibrations from poor road surfaces and deals with high-frequency chatter wonderfully well.

Up front, I expected things to be very different because that deeply bladed aero fork, substantial head tube plus skinny 25c tyres and deep aero wheels don’t promise comfort. So, it was a welcome surprise to discover just how composed the SL6 feels.

The aero-sculpted alloy bar is wrapped with super-thick bar tape and its spot-on ergonomics keep you comfortable. The front end dulls chatter and noise.

Just because the SL6 is a lower-priced version of Trek’s most successful race machine doesn’t mean the ride position is dumbed down either.

The SL6 is still based on its H1.5 geometry that was developed with the Trek-Segafredo race team. On my 58cm bike you have the aggressive ride position imposed by a 581mm stack and 396mm reach paired with a steep 73.8-degree head angle and 73-degree seat.

The Madone is a bike designed to go fast, so it’s no surprise that the fork’s trail and offset encourage fast handling.

Bontrager’s carbon Aeolus wheel range extends from WorldTour-proven XXX wheelsets down to the Comp 5 models fitted here.

The Comp 5 is an alloy rim that has a structurally bonded 50mm deep carbon fairing. The centrelock hubs are smooth rolling and the wheel build is tight; the tautness in the wheels and the fast-acting freehub offset the 1,860g weight for a pair.

The wheels are tubeless ready but the R3 tyres fitted are not, so tubeless is an option.

The rim’s internal 18mm width is a good match for the 25c tyres. The bikes’s 8.73kg complete weight is more than I’d like to see on paper, but it doesn’t ride like a heavy bike: the chassis’ composed manner on poor roads means you can go faster and the efficiency of the design, including the wheels, means it holds speed well.

Like the majority of bikes in this year’s Bike of the Year , Trek has put its faith in the Ultegra group and it performs just as well as expected.

In all, the SL6 is a composed race machine with a compliant ride that balances fast handling and comfort unlike any other aero-road bike around.

The very handy addition of hidden mudguard mounts also means that this bike could even be used as a year-round option for riders who don’t want to forgo speed and performance when training in the wetter months.

Bontrager’s Paradigm Comp 25 wheels are specifically designed to work with wider style road tyres such as those on the Domane, as the 25mm inner width provides good stability and support for them. They are tubeless-ready, allowing the tyres to be run at lower pressures for less rolling resistance, fewer punctures and more comfort.

Shimano’s evergreen 105 groupset has now received the Di2 treatment, and so offers effortless electronic shifting at a reasonable price. The wide range of gears is ideal for the bike’s broad brief, with a 1:1 climbing gear available for the hardest hills and an 11t sprocket for high-speed descents. Connecting the system to Shimano’s E-Tube app enables some personalisation of functions to be programmed and gives access to other ride metrics and interesting data.

The Trek Domane SL is a super-popular road bike – maybe even an all-road bike when set up with the right tyres – that offers a smooth ride courtesy of IsoSpeed technology that helps to damp both small vibrations and bigger lumps and bumps. Let’s take a look at what’s going on here…

Trek introduced IsoSpeed over a decade ago – way back in 2012, if you’re taking notes –  although it has developed over the years. Rear IsoSpeed was first, decoupling the top of the seat tube from the rest of the frame. 

What does that mean? Although the seat tube is fixed to the bottom bracket area as normal, it isn’t moulded to the top tube or seatstays. Instead, the tubes are joined by a pivot, allowing more flex than would otherwise be possible. This leads to more movement at the saddle. The idea is that this takes the edge off big hits and smooths out smaller vibrations so that you feel fresher for longer.

Trek did offer a front IsoSpeed system for a while – a rocker cup at the top of the headset that allowed the fork’s carbon steerer to flex backwards/forwards – but that was ditched when the latest update was announced in September 2022 .

What effect does the IsoSpeed technology have out on the road? When you’re riding on well-surfaced tarmac, IsoSpeed doesn’t feel any different from normal, and even over rough roads, it’s subtle. In some ways, it feels like running wide tyres at lower pressures than usual although, unlike big tyres, it never feels squishy when you get out of the saddle and give it the beans.

You get just a bit of movement to muffle what’s going on beneath your wheels. Hit a deep pothole at full speed and you still feel it – just slightly less than you otherwise would.

The main advantage, though, isn’t the protection from the big hits, it’s the smoothing you get from the smaller stuff: little holes, manhole covers, drains, frost damage, badly patched tarmac, kerbs on and off the cycle path… It comes in handy over cobbles too, if you have any of those around your way or fancy a trip to Northern France or Belgium.

IsoSpeed doesn't eliminate bumps and vibrations from any of this stuff, it just tones it down. The rougher the surface, the bigger the difference it makes. 

The Domane isn’t a gravel bike but it will take tyres up to a sizeable 700 x 38mm without mudguards (and 35mm tyres with mudguards) and it’s great for shortcuts to link up two sections of tarmac – towpaths, hard-packed tracks, and stuff like that.

The Domane’s geometry is more relaxed than that of something like Trek’s Madone – you get a more upright, endurance-friendly ride position here. It’s still a bike with a performance edge, though, Trek saying that it has been developed using extensive CFD (computational fluid dynamics) testing to make it more aerodynamic than the previous generation. There are no specific claims relating to aero efficiency, but the Kammtail Virtual Foil (KVF) tube shaping is reminiscent of the speed-focused Emonda and Madone frames.

With a threaded T47 bottom bracket, hidden mudguard mounts, and a storage compartment hidden inside the down tube, the Domane SL is a practical option too. There’s space in there for a BITS bag (Bontrager's internal storage solution) to store a spare tube, CO 2 inflator/cartridge, and two tyre levers with space to spare, with the bottle cage then fitting on top of this. You also get mounts on the top tube for a bento-style box or top tube bag. This is a bike that’s more than capable of hauling everything you need for single-day adventures.

The latest Domane designs are lighter than previously. Trek claims a complete bike weight of 8.9kg for the 2024 Trek Domane SL 6 , built with a Shimano 105 Di2 groupset. This model is priced at £4,175. A similar bike fitted with SRAM’s Rival AXS drivetrain is £4,625 .

I have had a Domane since 2016. it's the older iteration with dual iso-speed and rim brakes. I totally love this bike. It transformed my riding from the older Boardman bike i had at that time. The more upright position was better for my aging back (53 now; 46 when i bought it). Latterly, i had been looking at replacing my Domane, as it is starting to look a bit tired; that was until i started looking at the price of replacing it! One thing i woudl say is that Trek are premium priced in comparison to rival equivalents. I would really like a like for like replacement, but have started looking at options such as the Canyon Endurace as the specifications are better for the same price.Come on Trek, get those prices down!

More like an ad than an article.  Lots of complaints about the rear isospeed breaking, creaking, and seat post slipping even on reviews on Trek's own site.  Never mentioned here.

Yeah - and saying it's lighter than previous versions is a funny way of saying it's still heavy (& a lot more money than most rivals, although I've heard after-sales customer service is very good so that may contribute).

Correct. I have no problems on the group rides I go on (I'm never the fastest or the slowest) and have never owned an aero bike, nor a bike under 27 lb / 12 kg. I'm aware there are faster groups, but I have no need to join them.

No, it really isn't a light bike at nearly 9kg. And at premium prices, it compares even more unfavourably to the competition. You don't have to be a weight weeny to know it's still pretty porky (no doubt that isospeed is a large contributor there but these days with wider rims and tyres and lower pressures, it's probably not needed unless you are going off tarmac). The majority of its rivals are nearer the 8kg mark.

Madone Main Features

Let me now explain the most important features of the Trek Madone aero bikes.

Frame and Geometry

The Madone bikes are part of Trek’s road bike lineup . They’re made of carbon. No aluminum version of the Madone is available.

The names of the bikes have abbreviations that refer to the type of carbon used for the frame:

• SL are bikes with 500 series OCLV*  carbon (mid-range).
• SLR are bikes with 800 series OCLV carbon (high-end).

*OCLV carbon is Trek’s patented carbon fiber process ( learn more ).

SL (Gen 6) frames are heavier than SLR (Gen 7), mainly due to the IsoSpeed vs. IsoFlow ( learn more ).

The bikes are available in many sizes (47-62) and colors. They have a relatively relaxed geometry compared to the Cervelo S5 but are almost identical to the Cannondale SystemSix.

Aerodynamics

Aerodynamics evaluation is a challenging discipline because it requires a lot of resources. No extensive independent database is available that compares the speed of different aero wheels.

In Trek’s whitepaper , I learned that the Madone Gen 7 is 19W faster than Gen 6 at 45 km/h.

However, it’s hard to compare it with other bikes. But it’s rumored that Madone is among the fastest aero bikes.

For instance, in Cannondale’s whitepaper , there’s a comparison of Cannondale SystemSix (one of the fastest aero bikes) with Madone 9.9. Madone was only slightly worse.

Wheels and Tires

On some Madone models, the wheels may be different, but typically, they come with Bontrager Aeolus Pro 51 wheels.

Surprisingly, the front and rear wheels have the same rim depth. Other aero bike manufacturers often use deeper wheels in the rear and shallower ones in the front.

The same goes for tires. Madones come with 25mm tires in both the front and rear, but it’s common for competitors’ bikes to have 25mm tires in the front and 28mm tires in the rear.

Remember, the wheels are tubeless-ready, but the tires are clinchers.

Unsurprisingly, the Madone bikes have a 2X drivetrain, as is customary for road bikes.

Trek fits them with Shimano and SRAM groupsets, and the number in the bike name indicates the groupset.

• Models ending with 6 use Shimano Ultegra , 105 Di2 (R7100) or SRAM Rival AXS groupsets.
• Models ending with 7 use Shimano Ultegra Di2 (R8100) or SRAM Force AXS groupsets.
• Models ending with 9 use Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 (R9200) or SRAM Red AXS groupsets.

Interestingly, the Madones with SRAM are heavier than the Madones of the same series with the Shimano groupset. In addition, the Shimano bikes are also cheaper.

This is somewhat strange because Shimano retail prices are higher than SRAM. That’s why I recommend choosing Trek bikes with Shimano groupsets unless you prefer SRAM.

IsoSpeed vs. IsoFlow

Undoubtedly, IsoSpeed and IsoFlow have become unique features that make Madone stand out from the crowd.

The IsoSpeed decoupler aimed to improve riding comfort by absorbing road vibrations. Unfortunately, it added weight to the bike.

The 7th generation Madone took people’s breath away. IsoFlow is a significant design change from the traditional bike appearance, but it’s supposed to improve both riding comfort and aerodynamics.

On the other hand, some have expressed opinions that the change in shape from a classic triangle to a quadrilateral will inherently reduce the overall frame stiffness. Learn more in the following video.

So, which Trek Madone bike is the best?

If you’re considering buying a Madone, I suggest going for a model with a Shimano groupset. They tend to be lighter and less expensive than the equivalent SRAM models.

Consider the Madone SL 6 or 7 (Gen 7) for the best value for money. You will get an adjustable cockpit (which you won’t get with SLR Gen 7), Gen 7 frame (IsoFlow), and Shimano 105 Di2 or Ultegra Di2.

The only sacrifices you make are the lower-grade carbon, higher weight, and slightly worse aerodynamics and aesthetics due to the semi-integrated cockpit.

The main differences between Madone Gen 6 and Gen 7 are that Gen 6 has IsoSpeed decoupler, while Gen 7 has IsoFlow. Gen 7 frames are lighter and 19W faster at 45km/h ( source ). They also look different due to the significant design change. Trek introduced SL 6 and SL 7 Gen 7 with an adjustable cockpit in August 2023. These bikes are more affordable than the SLX versions.

The main difference between Madone and Émonda is that Madone is a pure aero road bike, while Émonda is a lightweight road bike for climbing. For more detailed info, please check out my comparison of Madone vs. Émonda .

Dit is de splinternieuwe Trek Madone, inmiddels al de achtste generatie van dit type fiets. Tot voor kort had je bij Trek de keuze uit de Emonda en de Madone. We nemen je op deze blogpost mee in de verschillen tussen de types Trek racefietsen en op de nieuwigheden van deze achtste generatie Madone racefietsen.

Verschillen tussen Emonda en Madone

De Emonda was de lichtere klimfiets van Trek, terwijl de Madone met zijn grote buisvormen de aeroracer bij uitstek was voor de snelle mannen. Dat verschil tussen de Emonda en de Madone blijft bestaan. Trek is er door het gebruik van een nieuw soort carbon in geslaagd om dit Madone frame zo’n 300 gram lichter te maken dan het Madone frame van de vorige generatie, zonder dat dit een impact heeft op de framestijfheid.

Gewicht en Modellen

Door de verlaging van het gewicht is deze Madone bijna even licht als de vorige Emonda, waardoor de Emonda uit de Trek-collectie verdwijnt. Wat overblijft zijn de Madone voor de meer prestatiegerichte renners en wielertoeristen, en de Domane, het endurance model van Trek met een iets comfortabelere zithouding maar ook een iets hoger gewicht dan de Madone. Heel opvallend aan dit Madone frame is de Isoflow opening .

Isoflow Opening

De Isoflow opening was ook al aanwezig op de vorige generatie Madone frames en Trek houdt eraan vast om twee redenen. Enerzijds zorgt dit ontwerp voor een betere absorptie van schokken en trillingen , wat meer comfort biedt. Anderzijds verlaagt deze opening de turbulentie en de luchtstroom die gecreëerd wordt doordat je benen in deze zone in beweging zijn.

SL versus SLR

De SL-modellen zijn iets betaalbaarder dan de Madone SLR-modellen. Ze hebben dezelfde geometrie en frametechnologie, maar het grote verschil zit onder de lak.

Het frame van de SL-modellen is gemaakt van een ander soort carbon dan de SLR-modellen. Trek heeft hiervoor OCLV500-carbon gebruikt, terwijl bij de SLR-modellen het nieuwste, lichtste, innovatiefste carbon wordt gebruikt, namelijk OCLV900. Ook anders bij de SL-modellen is de cockpit. Bij de Madone SLR is dat een carbon cockpit waarbij het stuur en stuurpen een geheel vormen . Bij de SL-modellen bestaat de cockpit uit een los stuur en een losse stuurpen in aluminium, waarbij de kabels deels buitenom lopen.

Trek Madone SL 6 Gen 8

Madone SL 6 Gen 8は、先端のレーシングテクノロジーを手頃な価格で提供する軽量エアロロードバイク。上位モデルのMadone SLR Gen 8と同様のエアロ効果を提供しつつ、経済的なOCLV 500カーボンレイアップを素材とし、内蔵ケーブルルーティングと２ピース式のハンドル周りを採用。レース用ジオメトリーで作られ、登りでは快適さを保ち、アタック時にはその姿勢を保っていられる。Shimano 105 Di2電動コンポーネントは、電光石火のような電動変速の性能はそのまま、価格を抑えた造りとなっている。さらにカーボンホイールを採用し、より軽量とした。

一般的に、スポーツバイクはスニーカーや衣料品などと異なり1台展示するのに広めの作業・展示スペースと組立整備の時間が必要で大変高価でもあるため、取り扱いのある全てのモデル、全てのバリエーションがお店に並んでいることはまずありません。お取り寄せでの対応となるのが実情となっております。

バイクプラスでは、多くのお客様のご要望になるべくお応えできるように、人気モデルの売れ筋カラー・サイズを中心に、各店店頭に常時30-50台前後在庫しております。

各店店頭にないモデルやバリエーションは基本的にお取り寄せでの対応となります。あらかじめご承知おきください。バイクプラスグループ内の在庫はご希望の店舗で納車できます。

いずれにしましても、納期は最寄りの店舗（ 店舗一覧 ）に直接お問合せいただくのが最も正確です。下の「12.在庫の問い合わせはこちら」からお問い合わせいただくことも可能です。

当日納車が可能な場合でも、コンビニでのお買い物のような速さではお持ち帰りいただけません。納車前の点検、お求めいただいた自転車のシフトチェンジやブレーキなどの使用方法、前後車輪の外し方、空気入れの使用方法や適正空気圧等のご説明のためのお時間が必要です。ゆとりを持ってご来店ください。

組立整備済み在庫がある場合 受取予定の店舗に組立整備済みの在庫がある場合は、ほぼ当日、遅くても2営業日以内にはお渡し可能です。

箱在庫・仮組み在庫がある場合 受取予定の店舗に箱在庫や仮組み状態の在庫がある場合は、基本的に5営業日ほどでご用意できます。

スポーツバイクは、7部組と呼ばれる未完成状態でメーカーから出荷され、店舗に入荷してから検品・組立整備・安全点検等を行い、ようやくお客様に納車できる状態になります。その関係で、店舗に入荷してから基本的に2週間（10営業日）前後お時間が必要となります。

タイミング悪くメーカーが一時的に欠品している場合もあります。新生活が始まる年度切替時期、GWや夏休み前、ボーナス前など、需要が重なる時期にはさらにお時間が必要になる場合もあります。早め早めにご注文いただくのがおすすめです。

オンラインからご注文いただいた場合、当社でご注文内容を確認した後、納車準備が整うまでのおおよその期間を受け取り予定の店舗からお電話かメールにてご連絡します。

またその後、納車の準備が整った時点でお渡し準備完了の通知メールを送信します。そのメールが届いてからご来店ください。ご来店の際はそのメールを店舗スタッフにお見せください。

The Sailor's Style Guide: How to Dress at a Yacht Club

If you've been invited to a casual yacht club rendezvous, you'll need the right threads to fit in.  in this guide, we'll walk you through the yacht club attire you'll need to fit in. hint: you can find the perfect outfit head to toe with castaway.

You've been invited to a meal or event at a local yacht club, but you've never been to one before. Suddenly, the panic sets in. What should you wear? Fortunately, there are lots of options and visiting a yacht club does not mean you have to spend a lot of money just to fit in. This post will give you some pointers on yacht club attire so that you feel neither under nor overdressed, and can really enjoy yourself and have a great time at the club.

Before you even think about what to wear, check to see if the yacht club you're going to has a dress code posted online. Most of them do, and the rules can vary from club to club. The Nantucket Yacht Club , for example, requires semi-formal attire for its dinners and cocktail attire including ties for men during its dinner dances and balls. The Hyannis Yacht Club goes into a little more detail. It accepts stylish casual wear including clean, neat jeans and shorts for lunch. For dinner, guests are expected to step it up by leaving the denim at home and wearing sports coats. Different areas of a club may also have different dress rules. Bars and outdoor decks tend to more lax and allow casual clothing.

Sometimes, the easiest way of narrowing down what to wear is to eliminate what you should not wear. This is just a partial list of how not to show up at any kind of yacht club unless you want to be denied admittance or receive a lot of disapproving glares. All rules listed apply to the inside of the club, and can vary for beach and dock rulings.

Flip Flops or Going Barefoot: This rule applies INSIDE the club, or for any meal time. Most people love the beach, but going barefoot is not only unacceptable, but unhygienic.

You'll want to wear appropriate footwear such as sturdy sandals or closed toe shoes. While a lot of children and adults love their flip-flops, they may be a little too casual for a yacht club atmosphere. The most popular choice here is a boat shoe style but a bridle bit driver is always appropriate - check the latest . The lightly worn leather and pencil-curled laces fit the bill in the cool department.

Torn, Stained, or Worn Clothing: Any attire that is showing signs of wear such as rips, stains that never came out, holes, missing buttons, etc. should be left at home.

Baseball Caps and Other Hats: Most yacht clubs prefer that men remove their caps when inside the venue. Save them for the sailing excursions.

Extra points on the water if you rock the Club’s Burgee on the hat!

Swimwear: Just a no-no. Save it for the boat and the beach. A cover-up can be acceptable for the patio.

Going Shirtless: Nope!

Undershirts as Shirts: See above. You may also want to be careful about choosing a t-shirt, particularly one with graphics, when visiting a yacht club. Most prefer that you wear a collared shirt, even if it's a casual one such as a polo shirt.

Tank tops for men and any tank tops for women that are skimpy and don't hide undergarments should be saved for another occasion.

Women have a lot of options when it comes to visiting a yacht club. Linen and cotton make the perfect summer blouses. A light but structured Sleeveless Top paired with a  sweater is perfect for warding off cool sea breezes when you're out on the deck. A polo or collared shirt works well for the yacht club scene as well. You can also consider a dressy blouse that has a little bit of flounce to it. If shorts are allowed for the time and area of the club you're visiting, consider sporting  Sailing  shorts  with a cute anchor embroidery. They're cool, classy, and show off just the right amount of leg. Casual skirts and dresses are perfectly fine as well as long as they're not too short and revealing. If you're attending a party at a yacht club you may need to wear a nice cocktail dress, or a classic Tunic Dress for a day event. Special events such as balls and dinner dances usually specify what is appropriate attire on the invitation.

Don't forget to have fun with accessories! A straw handbag can complete a nautical themed look.

For most casual yacht club occasions, men can't go wrong with a collared shirt and long pants or Cisco Shorts . Pastel and preppy shades such as summer green, hurricane red, and islander blue rule here.

When casual attire is allowed, collared sport or polo shirts are always in fashion. Seersucker and linen shirts are available in several colors and patterns for summer club get-togethers. If jeans are not allowed, seersucker or cotton canvas pants are still casual and comfortable yet dressy enough for all areas of a yacht club. Queen + Adam Lambert’s 150-minute career-spanning set list celebrates the band’s extraordinary back catalogue, lining up wall-to-wall immortal anthems like “We Will Rock You”, “Don’t Stop Me Now”, “Radio Ga Ga”, and “Somebody To Love” alongside classic deep cuts and vintage fan favourites. Featuring a dazzling state-of-the-art stage design, incredible special effects and set pieces, this sense-swamping extravaganza has been blowing critics and fans away the world over. 

As with last year’s UK and European dates, the 2023 North American tour will see Queen + Adam Lambert supported on stage by their regular band members, long-serving Queen keyboard player and musical director Spike Edney, bass guitarist Neil Fairclough and percussionist Tyler Warren.  

Having extensively toured over the last few years, the Rhapsody show is forever evolving. Queen + Adam Lambert appreciate that it is an enormous task to try and stop scalpers from taking advantage of fans wanting to purchase tickets for the tour. In an effort to help minimize resale and keep ticket prices at face value for fans, the band are collaborating with the venues’ ticketing partners to restrict the ability to transfer tickets for The Rhapsody Tour so that they may only be transferred between fans at the original price. 

Fans will still have protection against unforeseen circumstances. Those who purchase tickets and are no longer able to attend their show will be able to sell their tickets at the price they paid using a face value ticket exchange, including the Ticketmaster Face Value Exchange – which is free to use for buyers and sellers. More information on how the Ticketmaster Exchange works is available here . 

Unfortunately, the states of NY, IL, and CO have laws in place which protect ticket scalpers – these laws prohibit artists from being able to restrict the transfer of their tickets to face value exchanges only. For shows in these states, Queen + Adam Lambert strongly encourage fans to only buy or sell tickets to one another on face value exchanges. Fans of legendary rock band Queen are to experience another ‘kind of magic’ in 2025 when official tribute band Queen Extravaganza tours across Europe to mark the 50th anniversary of the phenomenal anthem Bohemian Rhapsody.

Hyolyn announces 2024 ‘Enchanted Halloween’ US tour

Featuring concerts in Los Angeles, Dallas and more

K-pop singer Hyolyn of girl group SISTAR has announced her upcoming 2024 ‘Enchanted Halloween’ US tour, featuring concerts in Los Angeles, Dallas and more.

Today (August 21), SISTAR singer Hyolyn announced her upcoming solo tour, called ‘Enchanted Halloween’, featuring three concerts across the US this November.

The K-pop star will kick-off her tour on November 1 at Catch One in Los Angeles, California. Following that concert, the singer will head to Dallas, Texas and Seattle, Washington for two more shows.

In other touring news, K-pop girl group  Billlie  have announced the Grand America leg of their ongoing 2024 ‘Our FLOWERLD (Belllie’ve You)’ tour , featuring concerts in the US, Canada, Mexico and more.

Meanwhile, Waterbomb Los Angeles 2024 has announced the first batch of artists for its upcoming debut event in the US , featuring the likes of ATEEZ ,  Kwon Eun-bi , pH-1 and more.

Elsewhere, BoA is set to tour Asia later this year. Titled the ‘One’s Own’ Asia tour , the veteran K-pop star will play concerts in Seoul, Singapore, Taipei and more.

Plus, Day6 have announced the sprawling first leg of their upcoming ‘Forever Young’ world tour . It currently features 15 shows from September 2024 to February 2025, wither concerts in South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand and more.
