Excellent company - highly recommended

This was my first time to South America and with Llama Travel. I was travelling alone and a bit nervous when I arrived - but no worries - Llama representatives were fantastic, always on time to meet you for connections and more than helpful. It was a fantastic trip and I would highly recommend Llama Travel to anyone.

Llama Travel - my visit to Peru

Llama Travel organised my recent Inca/Conquistidor trip to Peru (1-14 April). Basically, it was amazing...from start to finish. The Condor travel guys over in Peru were fantastic, so friendly/knowledgable...all the tour reps were so good. Good choice of hotels...all suitably located and great service. The tour itinerary was fantastic and I got to see everything on my list! Organisation of flights, the tickets, the admin behind the scenes, the pickups and transportation were all efficient and on time. Tour group was great too, met some really interesting people and can't fault an actual thing. As a single (female) traveller, it's also a really safe place to visit, never felt intimidated or unsafe in Peru. Just the most amazing trip ever. Have asked Llama to send me their new brochure as i'm now keen on Argentina, Bolivia, Chile etc! Can't fault this company, would highly recommend! Pretty exceptional all round.

helpfull honest and efficent would definitley recommend

From first contact to the end was very good service .All aspects of our adventure was expertly arranged from the transports to and from the hotels to the airports , Our itinerary consisted of constant internal flights and changing of hotels which went so smoothly. The guides they use are so friendly and knowledgeable that you feel that you have known them for years . It was everything we wanted and hoped for and would recommend to all if you have a desire to feel like your getting out there for yourself and travelling but reassured that experts have got your back than llama travel is for you.

Just back from a trip to Costa Rica

Just back from a trip to Costa Rica. Apart from the fact that it wasn’t long enough, it was a joy to get to somewhere warm with abundant wildlife and gorgeous scenery. It had been on my to do list for a while and it didn’t disappoint. This was my third trip with Llama travel and everything went like clockwork, the guides and drivers were extremely attentive and pleasant. I would definitely recommend Llama Travel. And Costa Rica is a great destination but spend as long as you can there extend with extra days at Manuel Antonio at the end if you can!! The direct BA flight was a bonus!

Costa Rica + Manuel Antonio

As a solo traveller, I was a little apprehensive about booking with a company I'd never heard of, but Llama Travel surpassed my expectations. They were informative on the phone before travelling and everything on the trip went like clockwork. All the complex pick-ups were punctual and the guides and drivers were excellent. I travelled in a group of 7 people and made friends immediately. All the hotels were of excellent standard and our rooms seemed to have the best views available also. I chose the upgraded option at Tortuguero, the Manatus Lodge, and it was wonderful. Costa Rica was hit by hurricane Otto while we were there, and although Llama couldn't be held responsible for this, they gave us a free meal as compensation for missing a guided walk. I'd love to visit other Latin American countries & wouldn't hesitate to use Llama Travel again.

Excellent holiday with this company

We have just returned from a holiday in Peru with Llama travel who were recommended by 'Which' and they did not disappoint. They dealt with our enquiries and booking efficiently and all our transfers and connections were well organised and punctual (they use Condor travel in Peru to oversee these). We had three internal flights and two bus journeys and the guides facilitated all these journeys. The guides on the tours we took were also helpful, pleasant and well informed. The hotels used were mid to upper mid range and all were good to excellent (upgrades were available but we didn't use these). We found their prices competitive. Peru is a fantastic country with a wide range of scenery and experiences to offer as well as excellent food and friendly people. I would not hesitate to recommend either the country or Llama Travel

Great trip to the Atacama desert and…

Great trip to the Atacama desert and Easter Island . We have been to Chile before but wanted to go to these two places . The local guides were first class together with the transfers between airport and hotel , even when our flight was delayed and arrived in Santiago at 3am. We spent 5 nights on Easter Island and if you have the time would recommend this. It is super to go back and see the sights at different times of the day . A good place just to relax.

Absolutely wonderful, caring company!

As a former travel agency owner - prior to retirement - I do feel well positioned to compare the service and prices offered by Llama Travel against alternative companies offering similar trips. In our experience, Llama Travel were absolutely superb from the time of booking, up to and including our return home and later still. The cost of our very extensive trip was extremely good value and their ground handlers in Peru - Condor Travel - were exemplary. If we ever decide to visit South America again in the future, we wouldn't even bother looking elsewhere. Couldn't possibly settle for "Burger service" after sampling the finest "Fillet steak of service" so to speak.

Recently had a trip with Llama travel…

Recently had a trip with Llama travel to S.America. Everything was spot on with pickups from the airports and trips all happening seamlessly. We hardly had to think about a thing except when to be in the Hotel reception for... Local Tours were always on time and very friendly/professional/funny. Even when I was a bit sleepy and left my jacket in Cusco by mistake, the guy's at Condor / Llama Travel ensured it made it safely back to me. Such great post sales service I had to leave a review for them !! Would definitely recommend and now dreaming at my next trip with them (Colombia) :)

Samba Iguazu & Tango Tour

It was our first holiday with Llama Travel and I can't praise them enough!! Our holiday was well organised from start to finish!! Llama Travel were always at the end of the telephone to answer any of our queries. The hotels chosen by Llama Travel were excellent and all in a central location. Llama Travel even changed one of our hotels before our holiday began as customers were not rating the hotel, this to me shows how much Llama Travel listen to their customers and how much satisfying their customers is important to them. I would not hesitate to book with Llama Travel again!! Thank you for making our first trip to South America most memorable and here's to our next trip to South America with Llama Travel.

Just returned from the Taj Tigers and…

Just returned from the Taj Tigers and Temples tour of India - absolutely amazing and worth each and every 5 stars! From my initial enquiry the booking with Llama was handled seamlessly. I questioned a few things prior to departure and Otto answered promptly and with the info I needed. He is also helping with a query I have had since returning. The tour itself was beyond my expectations- the guide Narinder was very knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind and looked after us through each stage of our tour. He even rejigged the itinerary on the very first day and managed with less than 24 hours for us as a group to attend the Holi festival which was an extra special added bonus. The majority of the hotels service was great - a couple of issues which were rectified by the staff with deepest apologies. We were also extremely lucky to see tigers in our additional safari, which I would recommend doing as the guides take you into different areas of the park. The safari included in the initial cost takes you into gate 1 which is the main tourist gate and it is very busy. We were a group of 10 with 2 additional travellers joining us who were staying at the upgrade hotel. As a group of 10 we socialised in the evening and got on very well. I hope to stay in touch. Travelling as two female friends in our 50’s we felt very safe in India. The people are so friendly and welcoming. I hope to return one day. Would definitely travel with llama again and would wholeheartedly recommend to friends and family. Thank you so much Llama travel for an exceptional holiday and service

Absolutely excellent company from booking onwards. The trip was really well organised with really great suggestions when we booked it. The drivers and guides were fantastic. We were in Ecuador and the Galapagos. The Beagle was a great choice for us.

Great trip to Ecuador and Galapagos

My wife and I have just returned from a trip to Ecuador and Galapagos, arranged through Llama Travel. We chose Llama Travel because they arrange everything including flights from UK. Many operators require you to make your own way to Quito, which exposes you to a risk in the event of flight or schedule delays. We has a fantastic trip. Ecuador is a beautiful country and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. All flights and transport arrangements went smoothly. The guides in Quito, Mashpi and Galapagos were all excellent; friendly knowledgable and all spoke excellent English. The Reina Isabel hotel is a very good mid range hotel, with large rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff. Mashpi Lodge in the Cloud Forest is truly out of this world. A pity we could not stay longer. We toured the Galapagos on the Archipel I, which was the perfect boat for us. Lots of deck space on this catamaran for the 16 guests with good en-suite cabins and lovely crew. The Galapagos lived up to our expectations and Quito is a gem in the mountains. However Mashpi Lodge really exceeded our expectations. A wonderful trip. Thank you Llama Travel.

Incas and Conquistador (Machu Picchu), Iguazu Falls & Rio Aug 2019

We just returned from our holiday booked through Llama Travel. We booked Incas and Conquistadors Tour with a Rio and Iguazu Falls Extension. Llama Tours pre travel service (our consultant Tsehai) was exceptional with all our queries responded quickly and our bookings finalised without problems The service of their local agency in Peru (Condor Tours) cannot be faulted, making our holiday an experience to remember. Special mention to our very knowledgeable tour guide Jose Caparos, who was always prompt, courteous and patient with all our queries. We were happy with most of our accommodation, although maybe would have opted for and upgrade in Cusco, near the Town Square All flights booked by Llama were on time and we loved that their local agency checked us in and therefore made the airport part of the holiday relaxing Highly recommending Llama Travel and will definitely use them again if we travel back to South America

Superbly organised trip to Ecuador

We travelled to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands with Llama Travel. It was the best trip we've done anywhere in the world. The whole process from booking through to a follow up call when we got back home was excellent. The ground agents Llama used in Ecuador were superb too. I will be booking with this company again.

Ride Llama on the Inca Trail

From the very beginning Llama Travel kept us up to date on our planned Inca Trail and all associated flights, hotel bookings and excursions. Throughout our holiday their associates in Peru [CondorTravel] were excellent with knowledgeable guides for day trips and a thoroughly prepared and completed 4 day Inca Trail. The holiday featured Lima hotels and excursion, Cusco hotel [before and after the trail] plus excursions, The 4 day Inca Trail with magnificent porters and guides and finally a relaxing time in Paracas, with transfers to and from Lima on 'Cruz Del Sur' plus two excursions. Timekeeping for every aspect of the arangements was spot on. Ride a Llama - you won't be disappointed.

This is the second time we have…

This is the second time we have travelled with Llama Travel and yet again they have provided an excellent service. Costa Rica was absolutely incredible (you all have to go) and the hotels, jungle lodges, itinerary, transfers and expert guides provided by llama travel enhanced our trip further. On our last few days the government closed the small airport down and so the guide and local Llama team quickly reacted, got us into a jeep and took us (through rivers) to another airport where we were able to fly to San Jose. The group of 20ish we travelled with were split into 2 small groups so our experiences always felt bespoke and everyone on the tour was like-minded and interested in exploring a new destination. We wouldn't hesitate to go back to Llama Travel for another holiday package.

Excellent as always

This was the 3rd holiday I have taken with LLama Travel and each has been a good experience. I have recommended the company to friends who have also had great holidays. This trip was complicated by a last minute change of my original travel date owing to family illness. LLama were really helpful in discussing with me and rearranging at very little extra cost. Guatemala and Costa Rica are beautiful countries to explore. The Mayan heritage in Guatemala is astounding and the wildlife in Costa Rica, superb. The local guides were well informed , enthusiastic and professional. Travel arrangements, transfers and internal travel went well, and I felt confident in the drivers. The only glitch was the return boat ride on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala, which was VERY bumpy. I could not decide if it was the driver or the swell on the Lake, but either way the trip should come with a health warning! However, this did not detract from the holiday overall. I would certainly travel with LLama again.

In this difficult time of covid19

In this difficult time of covid19, Llama travel have kept us informed by email and phone. We should have been in Peru but were cancelled. At no time has it been difficult to access someone to talk to, the phone has been answered and the staff have been welcoming and ready to give answers. I hope to use them again as their service is second to none. They repaid all our money immediately. Well done!!!
