Newly Reunited Jonas Brothers Announce "Happiness Begins" Tour

The much-anticipated reunion tour is here, and the brothers are bringing names you might know along with them

The Jonas Brothers  comeback could not be complete without a trek across the U.S., and now the GRAMMY-nominated trio has announced that they will hit the road on an epic tour with some names you might recognize.

The brothers are launching their Happiness Begins tour, in support of their upcoming Happiness Begins album, on Aug. 7 in Miami with GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Bebe Rexha and singer Jordan McGraw. The extensive jaunt will stop by Philadelphia, Detroit, Nashville, Tenn., St. Paul, Minn., and Tacoma, Wash., before its last stop in Los Angeles.

The group dropped their first single in roughly six years, "Sucker," in March. The single earned them their first Billboard Hot 100 No.1.

"The moment we've all been waiting for... The #HappinessBeginsTour is coming to a city near YOU. Can't wait to bring this show to life and hit the road with @beberexha and @jordanmcgraw !" the brothers said on Twitter .

Presale for the tickets begins May 7. For more information on the tour, visit the Jonas Brothers' website .

Disney's Golden Age Of Pop: Revisit 2000s Jams From Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez & More

As Disney Music Group celebrates its defining era of superstars and franchises, relive the magic of the 2000s with a playlist of hits from Hilary Duff, Jesse McCartney and more.

"...and you're watching Disney Channel!" For anyone who grew up in the 2000s, those five words likely trigger some pretty vivid imagery: a glowing neon wand, an outline of Mickey Mouse's ears, and every Disney star from Hilary Duff to the Jonas Brothers .

Nearly 20 years later, many of those child stars remain instantly recognizable — and often mononymous — to the millions of fans who grew up with them: Miley Cyrus , Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato . Nick , Kevin and Joe .

Each of those names has equally memorable music attached to it — tunes that often wrap any given millennial in a blanket of nostalgia for a time that was, for better or for worse, "So Yesterday." And all of those hits, and the careers that go with them, have the same starting point in Hollywood Records, Disney Music Group's pop-oriented record label.

This time in Disney's history — the core of which can be traced from roughly 2003 to 2010 — was impactful on multiple fronts. With its music-oriented programming and multi-platform marketing strategies, the network launched a procession of teen idols whose music would come to define the soundtrack to millennials' lives, simultaneously breaking records with its Disney Channel Original Movies, TV shows and soundtracks.

Now, two decades later, Disney Music Group launched the Disney 2000s campaign, honoring the pivotal, star-making era that gave fans a generation of unforgettable pop music. The campaign will last through August and lead directly into D23 2024: The Ultimate Fan Event with special vinyl releases of landmark LPs and nostalgic social media activations occurring all summer long. April's campaign activation was Disney 2000s Weekend at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, which featured special screenings of 2008's Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert and 2009's Hannah Montana: The Movie and Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience .

But before Miley and the JoBros, Hollywood Records' formula for creating relatable (and bankable) teen pop stars began with just one name: Hilary Duff. At the time, the bubbly blonde girl next door was essentially the face of the network thanks to her starring role in "Lizzie McGuire," and she'd just made the leap to the big screen in the summer of 2003 with The Lizzie McGuire Movie . In her years with Disney, Duff had dabbled in recording songs for Radio Disney, and even released a Christmas album under Buena Vista Records. However, her first album with Hollywood Records had the potential to catapult her from charming tween ingĂ©nue to bonafide teen pop star — and that's exactly what it did.

Released on August 26, 2003, Duff's Metamorphosis sold more than 200,000 copies in its first week and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The following week, the bubblegum studio set performed the rare feat of rising from No. 2 to No. 1, making the then-16-year-old Duff the first solo artist under 18 to earn a No. 1 album since Britney Spears .

The album's immediate success was no fluke: Within a matter of months, Metamorphosis had sold 2.6 million copies. Music videos for its radio-friendly singles "So Yesterday" and "Come Clean" received constant airplay between programming on the Disney Channel. (The latter was eventually licensed as the theme song for MTV's pioneering teen reality series "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County," giving it an additional boost as a cultural touchstone of the early '00s.) A 33-date North American tour soon followed, and Hollywood Records officially had a sensation on their hands.

Naturally, the label went to work replicating Duff's recipe for success, and even looked outside the pool of Disney Channel stars to develop new talent. Another early signee was Jesse McCartney. With a soulful croon and blonde mop, the former Dream Street member notched the label another big win with his 2004 breakout hit "Beautiful Soul."

" When 'Beautiful Soul' became the label's first No. 1 hit at radio, I think that's when they really knew they had something," McCartney tells GRAMMY.com. "Miley [Cyrus] and the Jonas Brothers were signed shortly after that success and the rest is history.

"The thing that Disney really excelled at was using the synergy of the channel with promoting songs at pop," he continues. "I did appearances on 'Hannah Montana' and 'The Suite Life of Zack & Cody' and my music videos were pushed to Disney Channel. The marketing was incredibly brilliant and I don't think there has been anything as connected with an entire generation like that since then."

By 2006, Disney had nearly perfected its synergistic formula, continually launching wildly popular tentpole franchises like High School Musical and The Cheetah Girls , and then giving stars like Vanessa Hudgens and Corbin Bleu recording contracts of their own. (Curiously, the pair's HSM co-star Ashley Tisdale was never signed to Hollywood Records, instead releasing her first two solo albums with Warner.)

Aly Michalka showed off her vocal chops as sunny girl next door Keely Teslow on "Phil of the Future," and fans could find her off-screen as one half of sibling duo Aly & AJ. In between their 2005 debut album Into the Rush and its electro-pop-charged follow-up, 2007's Insomniatic , Aly and her equally talented younger sister, AJ, also headlined their own Disney Channel Original Movie, Cow Belles . (Duff also helped trailblaze this strategy with her own early DCOM, the ever-charming Cadet Kelly , in 2002, while she was simultaneously starring in "Lizzie McGuire.")

Even after years of proven success, the next class of stars became Disney's biggest and brightest, with Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers all joining the network — and record label — around the same time. "Hannah Montana" found Cyrus playing a spunky middle schooler by day and world-famous pop star by night, and the network leveraged the sitcom's conceit to give the Tennessee native (and daughter of '90s country heartthrob Billy Ray Cyrus ) the best of both worlds.

After establishing Hannah as a persona, the series' sophomore soundtrack introduced Miley as a pop star in her own right thanks to a clever double album that was one-half Hannah's music and one-half Miley's. It's literally there in the title: Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus .

From there, Cyrus' stardom took off like a rocket as she scored back-to-back No.1 albums and a parade of Top 10 hits like "See You Again," "7 Things," "The Climb," "Can't Be Tamed," and the ever-so-timeless anthem "Party in the U.S.A."

At the same time, Gomez had top billing on her own Disney Channel series, the magical (but less musical) "Wizards of Waverly Place." That hardly stopped her from launching her own music career, though, first by fronting Selena Gomez & the Scene from 2008 to 2012, then eventually going solo with the release of 2013's Stars Dance after the "Wizards" finale aired.

For her part, Lovato — Gomez's childhood bestie and "Barney & Friends" costar — got her big break playing Mitchie Torres in Camp Rock alongside the Jonas Brothers as fictional boy band Connect 3, led by Joe Jonas as the swaggering and floppy-haired Shane Gray. Much like Duff had five years prior in the wake of The Lizzie McGuire Movie , Lovato released her debut solo album, 2008's Don't Forget, just three months after her DCOM broke records for the Disney Channel.

Building off their chemistry from the movie musical, nearly the entirety of Don't Forget was co-written with the Jonas Brothers, who released two of their own albums on Hollywood Records — 2007's Jonas Brothers and 2008's A Little Bit Longer — before getting their own short-lived, goofily meta Disney series, "Jonas," which wrapped weeks after the inevitable Camp Rock sequel arrived in September 2010.

As the 2000s gave way to the 2010s, the Disney machine began slowing down as its cavalcade of stars graduated to more grown-up acting roles, music and careers. But from Duff's Metamorphosis through Lovato's 2017 LP, Tell Me You Love Me , Hollywood Records caught lightning in a bottle again and again and again, giving millennials an entire generation of talent that has carried them through adulthood and into the 2020s.

To commemorate the Disney 2000s campaign, GRAMMY.com crafted a playlist to look back on Disney's golden age of pop with favorite tracks from Hilary Duff, Vanessa Hudgens, the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and more. Listen and reminisce below.

GRAMMY Rewind: Kendrick Lamar Honors Hip-Hop's Greats While Accepting Best Rap Album GRAMMY For 'To Pimp a Butterfly' In 2016

Upon winning the GRAMMY for Best Rap Album for 'To Pimp a Butterfly,' Kendrick Lamar thanked those that helped him get to the stage, and the artists that blazed the trail for him.

Updated Friday Oct. 13, 2023 to include info about Kendrick Lamar's most recent GRAMMY wins, as of the 2023 GRAMMYs.

A GRAMMY veteran these days, Kendrick Lamar has won 17 GRAMMYs and has received 47 GRAMMY nominations overall. A sizable chunk of his trophies came from the 58th annual GRAMMY Awards in 2016, when he walked away with five — including his first-ever win in the Best Rap Album category.

This installment of GRAMMY Rewind turns back the clock to 2016, revisiting Lamar's acceptance speech upon winning Best Rap Album for To Pimp A Butterfly . Though Lamar was alone on stage, he made it clear that he wouldn't be at the top of his game without the help of a broad support system.

"First off, all glory to God, that's for sure," he said, kicking off a speech that went on to thank his parents, who he described as his "those who gave me the responsibility of knowing, of accepting the good with the bad."

Looking for more GRAMMYs news? The 2024 GRAMMY nominations are here!

He also extended his love and gratitude to his fiancée, Whitney Alford, and shouted out his Top Dawg Entertainment labelmates. Lamar specifically praised Top Dawg's CEO, Anthony Tiffith, for finding and developing raw talent that might not otherwise get the chance to pursue their musical dreams.

"We'd never forget that: Taking these kids out of the projects, out of Compton, and putting them right here on this stage, to be the best that they can be," Lamar — a Compton native himself — continued, leading into an impassioned conclusion spotlighting some of the cornerstone rap albums that came before To Pimp a Butterfly .

"Hip-hop. Ice Cube . This is for hip-hop," he said. "This is for Snoop Dogg , Doggystyle . This is for Illmatic , this is for Nas . We will live forever. Believe that."

To Pimp a Butterfly singles "Alright" and "These Walls" earned Lamar three more GRAMMYs that night, the former winning Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song and the latter taking Best Rap/Sung Collaboration (the song features Bilal , Anna Wise and Thundercat ). He also won Best Music Video for the remix of Taylor Swift 's "Bad Blood."

Lamar has since won Best Rap Album two more times, taking home the golden gramophone in 2018 for his blockbuster LP DAMN ., and in 2023 for his bold fifth album, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers .

10 Essential Facts To Know About GRAMMY-Winning Rapper J. Cole

9 Songs You Didn't Know Jon Bellion Wrote & Produced: Hits By Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez & More

Pop superproducer Jon Bellion is the man behind Tori Kelly's new ep, 'tori,' but he's also been involved with countless hits for more than a decade. Check out nine of Bellion's biggest songs, from Eminem to Jonas Brothers.

If the name Jon Bellion sounds familiar, it's probably because of his 2016 single "All Time Low." With its relentless "low-low-low-low-low" chorus, the electronic-fused pop confection scored Bellion his first major hit — as a solo artist, that is.

Prior to Bellion's breakthrough with his debut solo single, he'd already made a name for himself behind the scenes by writing and producing songs for the likes of Eminem , Jason Derulo, Zedd and CeeLo Green . And in the seven years since "All Time Low" became a top 20 hit, he's celebrated plenty of other smashes with some of pop's A-listers from Christina Aguilera to Justin Bieber .

This year alone, he worked with the Jonas Brothers to executive produce their statement-making record The Album , helped shape Maroon 5 's "Middle Ground" — which is expected to be the lead single off the veteran pop-rockers' forthcoming eighth studio album — and teamed up with Switchfoot for an orchestral 2023 update of the band's 2003 breakout single " Meant to Live ."

Bellion's most recent work can be heard on Tori Kelly 's new self-titled EP tori , which dropped July 28. Along with producing the project, Bellion joined Kelly for a magnetic, electro-tinged track titled "young gun." Upon the EP's release, Kelly herself noted Bellion's impact , calling their collaboration "the start of something really special."

In honor of Bellion's latest project, take a look at nine songs you may not have known contained Bellion's signature touch — a roadmap to his becoming one of the most in-demand producers of the moment.

Eminem feat. Rihanna — "The Monster"

One of Bellion's earliest smashes came courtesy of Eminem — well, and Bebe Rexha . The pop singer penned the track's dark hook while working on her debut album, but it later made its way to Eminem and eventually shapeshifted into his fourth collaboration with Rihanna . The song became the duo's second No. 1 collaboration following 2010's "Love The Way You Lie" and remains one of most monstrous hits in Bellion's career.

Jason Derulo — "Trumpets"

Jason Derulo worked solely with Bellion on this top 20 hit from his 2013 Tattoos , which was later re-packaged as 2014's Talk Dirty . Built around an irresistible horn line of, yes, literal trumpets, Bellion and Derulo concocted a bouncy, flirtatious symphony to smoothly objectify the R&B singer's lady love, and manages to name drop Coldplay , Katy Perry and Kanye West over the course of just three minutes and thirty-seven seconds.

Christina Aguilera feat. Demi Lovato — "Fall in Line"

Bellion handled production on Christina Aguilera's fierce 2018 team-up with Demi Lovato , "Fall in Line," off the former's 2018 LP Liberation . Behind the boards, Bellion effectively captured all of the feminist rage and empowerment that the two vocal powerhouses lit into their lyrics, pairing their sneering vocals with a vamping strings section, rattling chains and a robotic male overlord futilely demanding, "March, two, three, right, two, three/ Shut your mouth, stick your ass out for me."

"Fall in Line" scored a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2019 GRAMMYs, marking Aguilera's twentieth career nod and Lovato's second.

Maroon 5 — "Memories"

To kick off their seventh album, JORDI , Maroon 5 enlisted Bellion to co-write lead single "Memories." The gentle ballad found frontman Adam Levine mourning the loss of a friend, pouring one out over a lilting reggae-pop line that cleverly samples Johann Pachelbel's "Canon in D Major." While the heartfelt song is dedicated to the band's longtime manager (and namesake of the LP) Jordan Feldstein, who tragically passed away in 2017 due to a blood clot, the relatable sentiment of "Memories" helped it peak at No. 2 on the Hot 100.

In addition to "Memories," Bellion also worked with the band on two other songs from JORDI , co-writing fourth single "Lost" as well as Anuel AA and Tainy collab "Button." Three years later, he would reunite with the band to co-write and co-produce their latest, equally delicate single "Middle Ground" alongside the likes of Andrew Watt and Rodney Jerkins .

Miley Cyrus — "Midnight Sky"

Miley Cyrus came raring into her glam rock-inspired album Plastic Hearts on the back of "Midnight Sky," an unapologetic statement of independence following her split from longtime love Liam Hemsworth. Dripping in sultry synths, the power ballad took a page from '80s rock icons like Joan Jett , Debbie Harry and Stevie Nicks .

The sound was an entirely new one for Cyrus — which is one of Bellion's tools when working with a new superstar for the first time. In a 2023 Billboard interview , he likened his approach to inventing a new kind of ride for the given A-lister. "They have already built an amazing theme park: millions of people go to it and experience their roller coasters," he said. "They put me in charge of revamping or creating a new section of the theme park, and they let me be the foreman of it all." The new style worked in Cyrus' favor, and earned Bellion yet another top 20 hit on the Hot 100.

Justin Bieber — "Holy"

Bellion's fingerprints are all over Justin Bieber's 2021 album Justice , starting notably with its Chance the Rapper -assisted lead single "Holy," which he both co-wrote and co-produced. The superproducer contributed to six other songs on the pop-driven LP — including the pop radio No. 1 "Ghost," which was inspired by Bellion's late grandmother — as well as three deluxe tracks. And though Bellion didn't have any credited features, his voice can still be heard: he offered background vocals on seven of the songs.

Justice earned Bellion his very first GRAMMY nomination, as the project was nominated for Album Of The Year at the 2022 GRAMMYs (Bieber also received seven other nods).

Selena Gomez — "My Mind & Me"

Bellion first collaborated with Selena Gomez on Rare album cut "Vulnerable" alongside Amy Allen , Michael Pollack and The Monsters & Strangerz . Two years later, the entire team reunited for the title track to the pop singer's Apple TV+ documentary My Mind & Me .

Bellion and co. helped Gomez tap even further into the most vulnerable side of her psyche to date. "Vulnerable" saw Gomez letting her guard down with a new flame, but "My Mind & Me" allowed her to completely lay bare her mental health journey. "Sometimes I feel like an accident, people look when they're passin' it/ Never check on the passenger, they just want the free show," she sings. "Yeah, I'm constantly tryna fight somethin' that my eyes can't see," over spare guitar and piano.

Jonas Brothers — "Waffle House"

After the success of their 2019 comeback album Happiness Begins with producer Ryan Tedder , the Jonas Brothers recruited Bellion to helm the boards on their 2023 follow-up The Album . The producer helped the hitmaking siblings tap into a new facet of their pop-rock sound, finding inspiration in the '70s music their dad raised them on. (As Joe Jonas told GRAMMY.com upon the album's release, Bellion "was saying exactly what we were hoping for" when they first met to mull over ideas.)

While Bellion had a hand in every song on The Album , second single "Waffle House" is the latest to earn both him and Jonas Brothers a top 15 hit on pop radio. Bellion also serves as the one and only featured artist on The Album , coming out from behind the boards and into the vocal booth for bombastic closer "Walls."

Tori Kelly — "missin u"

Tori Kelly first linked up with Bellion thanks to Justin Bieber, as the pair worked together with the Biebs on tender bonus cut "Name" from the Justice sessions. So, when it came time to launch a new era with her self-titled EP tori, the songstress turned to Bellion to help bring her vision to life.

On lead single "missin u," the two-time GRAMMY winner throws the guitar-driven singer/songwriter vibes of her past work out the window in favor of a sleek R&B sound reminiscent of the early 2000s. The sonic gear shift is a natural fit for her lithe voice as she replays a romance that "was rainin' purple skies in my room." Somehow, Kelly even manages to outdo the vocal acrobatics of "missin u" with a deliriously brilliant "R&B edit" that adds even more layers, soul and vocal flourishes to the single.

"When I first started working with Jon Bellion, we were just beginning to scratch the surface on a new sound that truly felt like my own," Kelly explains in a video celebrating the release of her self-titled EP tori . "I know that I'm gonna look back on this collaboration as the start of something really special." As for Bellion's thoughts on his latest project? "Tori Kelly's the greatest vocalist of all time!"

Listen: Tomorrow X Together & Jonas Brothers Unite For Funky Summer Single "Do It Like That"

Combining their pop and K-pop powers, the Jonas Brothers and TOMORROW X TOGETHER crafted what may just be "the collaboration of the year."

Sibling trio Jonas Brothers and K-pop quintet TOMORROW X TOGETHER have both proven they know how to craft a catchy tune. Now, they've combined their hitmaking power for "Do It Like That" — and it's a perfect summer anthem.

Produced by Ryan Tedder , the upbeat pop track sees JB and TXT trade verses over an infectious bassline, made complete by cheeky lyrics: "Oh my God/ You blowin' my mind like that/ Oh my God/ The way that you bring it right back."

"Do It Like That" arrived alongside a playful music video with shots of each group on an all-white stage. The Jonas Brothers play the guitar and drums, while TXT perform their typical seamless lockstep choreography.

The TOMORROW X TOGETHER guys shared their thoughts on the groovy new track in a press release through BIGHIT MUSIC, with SOOBIN declaring it the "summer anthem of the year." As HUENINGINGKAI added, "It's a song that you want to listen to when you're headed on a trip with your besties or whenever you need to recall the happiest moments in your life."

The collaboration also marks a special moment for TXT in a couple of ways: Not only does BEOMGYU note that it's their first song they recorded in the U.S., but it's also a full-circle collab for some of the members.

"I grew up listening to Jonas Brothers' music, so it's very surreal that we had a chance to collaborate with them on this track," YEONJUN revealed. And in TAEHYUN's eyes, "Do It Like That" is "the collaboration of the year."

This year has been busy for both the Jonas Brothers and TOMORROW X TOGETHER. In January, TXT released their fifth EP, The Name Chapter: Temptation . The fourth-generation K-pop powerhouses are currently promoting the album on the Act: Sweet Mirage international tour, which includes a headlining slot at Lollapalooza in Chicago in August.

In May, the Jonas Brothers delivered The Album , their sixth studio LP and first album in four years. Later this year, they will embark on a North American tour, beginning August 12 in the Bronx, New York.

Concert Review: Jonas Brothers Unleash the Screams at Brooklyn Show

The Jonas Brothers - Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas and Nick JonasThe Jonas Brothers in concert at The BB&T Center, Sunrise, Florida, USA - 15 Nov 2019

Six songs into the Jonas Brothers ‘ Brooklyn stop on their “Happiness Begins” comeback tour, Kevin Jonas took a moment to reflect.

“Two years ago,” he recalled, “My brothers and I sat in a room and said, ‘If we reunite, do you think anyone will care?'”

That was back in 2017, four years after one of the biggest boy bands split up — to the chagrin of teen girls across the globe — to pursue personal projects. During that time, Nick enjoyed a successful solo career, Joe fronted the band DNCE and Kevin, taking a break from music, had two daughters with his wife, Danielle.

But if multiple sold-out shows for the band’s first major concert tour in 10 years wasn’t already an indication, the blood-curdling and borderline deafening shrieks from longtime fans at the Barclays Center in New York certainly crystallized fervor for a reunion.

“After the year we’ve had,” Kevin roared into the mic. “I’ll say you absolutely do.”

Popular on Variety

The Jonas Brothers, returning to New York for a third time this tour following back-to-back stops at Madison Square Garden in August, didn’t let a cold and rainy night put a damper on Saturday’s show: They kicked off the concert by descending from the ceiling on a rectangular platform, belting “Rollercoaster.”

Judging by the arena’s reaction, it was almost as if devotees had spent the better part of the last decade harnessing their energy, only to unleash it every time the Jonas Brothers so much as opened their mouths. The mostly female crowd (except for the occasional brave boyfriend or seated parental chaperone) needed no invitation, leaping to their feet the moment the brothers glided down from the rafters and didn’t waver for the entirety of the two-hour set.

The Jonas Brothers treated concert-goers to plenty of songs from their new album, from hits “Cool” and “Only Human” to ballads “Comeback” and “I Believe.” But the trio, well aware the masses were just as eager to hear their catalogue from the early aughts, swiftly launched into “S.O.S.” They later had the crowd bouncing with Disney Channel-era favorites like “That’s Just the Way We Roll” before serenading a sea of screaming fans with “When You Look Me in The Eyes.”

Midway through, the band relocated to a back stage with a rising platform, where the brothers took requests from the audience before letting Nick and Joe have their own moments in the spotlight (Kevin had an albeit brief chance to shine earlier in the night with a guitar solo during “Cool”). From there, Nick took center stage to belt a gospel-esque rendition of his popular single, “Jealous.” Then, in an homage to their Disney Channel roots, the duo slowed down the evening with “Gotta Find You,” a song Joe first sang with Demi Lovato in “Camp Rock”; she wasn’t in attendance, but Nick’s vocals more than sufficed. Joe brought the energy back on the main stage with a colorful performance of “Cake by the Ocean,” complete with confetti and dancing inflatable tube men.

Later, Joe pressed the crowd with a controversial question, one of the rare times the band addressed the audience during the night. “Who thinks they’ve been a Jonas Brothers’ fan the longest here?” he prodded. “Now I’m not talking about any fan, I’m talking about the ones that gave a sh– about the Jonas Brothers back in the day.”

“We’re going to do something special for all you O.G. Jonas fans,” Joe promised before launching into a hand-clapping, hip-shaking mashup of throwbacks including “Mandy,” “Paranoid,” “Play My Music” and “Hold On.”

Before an encore performance of “Burnin’ Up,” infused with pyrotechnics, and of course, “Sucker” — the song that jump-started their comeback — the brothers closed the show with nostalgic bangers “Lovebug” and “Year 3000.” Most audience members just hoped it wouldn’t be that long until their next album.

About Jonas Brothers

Jonas Brothers took the world by storm in 2019 with the surprise release of their critically acclaimed and widely successful single “Sucker” following a six-year hiatus. The triple-platinum single debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 , becoming the first #1 for the band and the first #1 debut from a group this century.  The band went on to release Chasing Happiness, an Amazon Original film documenting the brothers rise and return to music, before going on to deliver their third #1 album debut with the release of their platinum-selling album Happiness Begins (Republic Records). The band continued to soar with their sold-out “ Happiness Begins Tour, ” with over 1.2 million tickets sold.

What’s more, the album garnered the band a bevy of awards including three awards for “Top Duo/Group,” “Top Radio Songs Artist,” and “Top Radio Song” for “Sucker” at the 2020 Billboard Music Awards , a 2019 MTV VMA for “Best Pop Video,” “Best Duo/Group” at the 2020 iHeart Music Awards , two Teen Choice Awards including their prestigious “Decade Award,” as well numerous American Music Award nominations, a coveted Grammy nomination and more.

About Kelsea Ballerini

Kelsea Ballerini is recognized as one of the most influential women in country music today and

has consistently made history since the start of her career. Following the release of her debut

album, she became the only female country artist to hit #1 with the first three consecutive

singles from a debut album. She has platinum and gold album certifications, a career total

of eleven gold and platinum singles certifications and has accumulated total streams exceeding

3 billion to date. Ballerini has garnered two GRAMMYÂź Award nominations, won two ACM

Awards and has also received multiple career nominations from the ACM Awards, American

Music Awards, CMA Awards, CMT Awards and the People’s Choice Awards. Most recently, she

received a 2021 ACM Award nomination for “Female Artist of the Year” and was also welcomed

as the Grand Ole Opry’s youngest current member.

Kelsea Ballerini released two acclaimed albums in lockdown last year. In March of 2020, she

debuted her self-titled third album kelsea (Black River Entertainment). Her most personal effort

to date, the album was met with critical praise, including from NPR who opined,

“Kelsea Ballerini is definitely one of the most influential women in country right now
 she’s

defining the sound of the genre.” The debut single from the album, “homecoming queen?”,

which the New York Times deemed “excellent,” was certified platinum, marking her fastest

single to achieve this milestone yet. Her third single from the album, “hole in the bottle”

recently reached Gold RIAA certification and earned Kelsea her sixth #1. Her latest single from

the release, “half of my hometown” features a special guest vocal appearance from eight-time

Entertainer of the Year and fellow East Tennessee songwriter/superstar Kenny Chesney. While

under quarantine, Ballerini created the second half of that story, ballerini. On this album, she

carefully deconstructed each song from the kelsea album and re-recorded everything with

minimal accompaniment. Co-producing the release, Ballerini showed another side of herself

with this reimagined take, highlighting the lyrical power of kelsea as she stripped all of the

songs down to the bare essentials.

The Jonas Brothers announced Wednesday (May 1) that they’re hitting the road this fall, with the Happiness Begins tour kicking off on Aug. 7. As fans across North America have been rejoicing, some have likely begun thinking about all the songs the JoBros might play on tour — or at least, that’s what Billboard has been up to.

Jonas Brothers

See latest videos, charts and news

The bros played their biggest show since their reunion in Minneapolis last month, playing 19 songs that mostly served as a trip down memory lane with classics like “That’s Just the Way We Roll” and “Lovebug.” But with their fifth album,  Happiness Begins , arriving on June 7, they’ll have a whole batch of new tunes to play. So which ones will make the cut? We’ll see later this summer. For now, check out what Billboard thinks the ultimate 2019 Jonas Brothers set list would look like:

“Burnin Up”

The guys have opened with their 2008 smash at every show they’ve played since announcing their reunion, so it’d be no surprise if that continues on the tour. The song’s adrenaline-pumping chorus as well as its epic start and finish – and that iconic Big Rob rap – make it a no-brainer to kick things off.

Jonas Brothers Announce North American Happiness Begins Tour: Exclusive

“That’s Just the Way We Roll”

With the excitement high right off the bat, might as well roll  into another energetic fan-favorite. Just the undulating guitar riff of “That’s Just the Way We Roll” would be enough to get the nostalgia really flowing.

“Cool”

After starting with two oldies, it’s time for something new. “Cool” is a perfect segue from the classics, providing both a head-bopping beat and same charming wit JoBro fans have grown to love.

“BB Good”

The spirited A Little Bit Longer deep cut would be a fun addition before diving into more new songs and old hits. Plus, when the Jonas Brothers dusted off this track at their Minneapolis show last month, its chantey chorus proved to still be a set list asset.

“Lovebug”/”Fly With Me”

Two of the most beloved love songs in the Jonas Brothers’ discography, their building tempos and singsongy choruses would make for one hell of a mashup. Nick actually teased the idea of a “Lovebug”/”Fly With Me” combo at their secret show in NYC, but there’s no evidence because phones weren’t allowed at that performance – we need to hear it again!

“Feelin’ Alive”

Giving another non-single time to shine, “Feelin’ Alive” is a song that would be enjoyable for Jonas die-hards and newbies alike thanks to its anthemic melody. Besides, they can’t knock out all the classics too early.

“Hold On”

Once “Feelin’ Alive” gets everyone’s blood pumping, fans will be all ready to jump up and down (and likely lose their sh*t) over this oldie-but-goodie. Its positive message is right in line with the joy JB is hoping to bring with their latest album, but the sentimentality of the 2007 track makes the feels extra heightened.

“Play My Music”

Though the brothers have sworn off another Camp Rock installment, they had some fun with this energetic jam (as well as “Gotta Find You” and Camp Rock 2 favorite “Introducing Me”) in Minneapolis – so a song from one of the two films is not totally out of the question. Any Camp Rock tune would get fans riled up, but “Play My Music” would definitely result in the most dancing.

How the Jonas Brothers Healed Their Issues, Reunited & Topped the Hot 100 for the First Time

“I Believe”

Time for another new song. Fans haven’t heard this Happiness Begins track yet, but Nick revealed in Billboard ’s recent cover story that it’s his favorite on the album, so it’ll likely make an appearance on the set list.

“Paranoid”

This hauntingly catchy Lines, Vines and Trying Times single is fun to both dance and sing to, but isn’t so high-energy that it’ll wear anyone out for the second half the show – except maybe those who try hitting Joe’s power note on the bridge.

“Jealous”/”Cake By the Ocean”/”Who I Am”

Gotta give a little love to the side projects. But with so many other songs to still get to at this point, a medley of the three biggest hits would be a great solution. And to give Kevin a shout-out too, perhaps the backdrop could be a video of Kevin’s adorable daughters dancing? They seem to love Jonas Brothers tunes, after all.

“A Little Bit Longer”

As if fans hadn’t been hit with the feels yet, “A Little Bit Longer” would definitely result in an arena full of tears. But while it is emotional, the song is a meaningful one for fans and the brothers alike – it’s Nick’s bittersweet narrative about living with diabetes – and would make for a powerful testament to the Jonas Brothers’ journey.

As fans finish wiping up their tears, it would be a great time to play something new – particularly an uptempo track.

“Tonight”

Whether or not the new song before this is upbeat, the racing melody and punchy guitar riff of “Tonight” would surely get everyone back on their feet – especially because they haven’t played it since February 2013.

“Much Better”

This piano-tinged Lines, Vines and Trying Times cut would be an unexpected, but much appreciated move for the stans. Its airy melody and smooth vocals are right in line with the Jonas Brothers’ new, more mature vibe, making it a fun and fitting addition.

11 Revelations From Chatting With the Jonas Brothers: More From the Billboard Cover Story

Considering the bros named their tour after their latest album, they’ll likely want to play a handful of Happiness Begins tunes. While fans still don’t know what the set has in store, this would be the perfect time for the guys to deliver one more ballad.

“Still in Love With You”/”Just Friends”

This deep into the set list, fans are going to start expecting classics – so why not hit them with two fan favorites from ’07? “Still In Love With You” sparked a frenzy at the Jonas Brothers’ Minneapolis show, and mashing it up with “Just Friends” would take the pandemonium to the next level.

“Hesitate”

Fans have yet to hear this Happiness Begins track, but Nick mentioned to Billboard that “Hesitate” is Joe’s love story with Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner. No matter how the song sounds, it’d be adorable to see Joe sing it live, especially now that the two are officially husband and wife .

“Year 3000”

Despite the fact that “Year 3000” is technically a cover, a Jonas Brothers concert wouldn’t be complete without the futuristic jam. And coming in just before the pre-encore, the lively throwback would be a perfect distraction so fans don’t realize the show is almost over.

“SOS”

One of the most iconic songs in the Jonas discography, “SOS” is a quintessential pre-encore fake-out: It’ll get the whole crowd dancing, everyone knows it, and the energy is so fun you forget there’s two more hits they haven’t sung. Plus, the song’s fade out would make for a dramatic pseudo ending, confetti and all.

“When You Look Me in the Eyes”

A dynamically pivotal part of the JB catalog, “When You Look Me In the Eyes” is as emotional as it is moving, especially when 16,000 flashlights fill the arena. With the next era of the JoBros just beginning, the 2007 ballad could be a sweet time for some Jonas Brothers flashback vids. Might as well get one more round of feels in before going home, right?

“Sucker”

The super-catchy single is the complete package when it comes to a finale, with its fiery melody and in-your-face beat. But while it has already proven to be the biggest song of their career, “Sucker” is so much more than a No. 1 hit : It’s the song that reignited the Jonas Brothers pandemonium and showed that the guys are already having a blast with this second go-around. So even if “Sucker” does end the show, it marks the beginning of so much more to come.

Jonas Brothers' Tour Kicks Off With a Major Surprise From Your Fave Latin Artists

Concert-goers cheered as sebastiĂĄn yatra, natti natasha and daddy yankee took the stage.

Jonas Brothers, Happiness Begins Tour

It's the moment that fans have been waiting for—the  Jonas Brothers are finally performing their new song " Runaway " live with  Sebastián Yatra , Natti Natasha  and  Daddy Yankee .

For the opening night of their Happiness Begins tour, Nick Jonas , Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas  recruited their Latinx friends so that they could all take the stage together for the first time. The packed audience roared when the six artists walked onstage in their trendy outfits.

Fans began to suspect that the group would reunite for the show when Sebastian revealed that he had touched down in Miami ahead of the concert.  And he also tagged the venue in his Instagram Stories, so the secret got out pretty fast.

Of course, all three of the J sisters— Priyanka Chopra , Sophie Turner and Danielle Jonas —were present for the tour's kickoff concert in Miami. Ahead of the show, Sophie and Priyanka were spotted doing some shopping in the coastal city. On Instagram, Danielle showed off the gorgeous view from their hotel, which was totally jealousy inducing.

As Priyanka arrived at the venue, she posed in her Jonas Brothers merch, which was an old ripped tee that she wore off her shoulder. Sophie went for a more rocker look by sporting an over-sized t-shirt with knee-high boots.

The trio also posed for photos together backstage in front of a sign that read "J-Sisters." Too cute! In one photo, Priyanka and Sophie smiled alongside Danielle and kids  Alena Jonas  and  Valentina Jonas .

"The #jsisters for life," Priyanka captioned the sweet picture.

The actress also shared a big group photo from backstage, writing, "Family #HappinessBegins sold out tour!! Crushed it! So proud of u guys!"

After their show, Joe and Nick headed to Swan , hospitality mogul  David Grutman 's restaurant and cocktail lounge in the Miami Design District, with Sophie and Priyanka.

E! News has learned that the couples kept it low key, hanging inside Swan's VIP area enjoying pasta, pizza, and craft cocktails before being presented with a huge cake commemorating the start of the Happiness Begins Tour. They were joined by close friends of the Jonas family, including  Stranger Things  actor  Michael Park . The group was seen leaving Swan around 1:45 a.m.

This is just the beginning of the Jonas Brothers' nearly five-month tour through Canada, Mexico and the United States. And the Jonas Brothers aren't the only ones performing, fans can also see  Bebe Rexha  and   Dr. Phil 's son,  Jordan McGraw , perform too. For more info on the dates and venues, click  here !

The Jonas Brothers delivered their fans a big treat for the weekend in the form of their new concert documentary, Happiness Continues , streaming now on Amazon Prime Video. The feature film captures their  Happiness Begins  tour, which marked the trio’s first shows together in over five years.

Happiness Continues (Official Documentary Trailer)

Happiness Continues is the follow-up to 2019’s Chasing Happiness , which documented the brothers’ childhoods, their rise to fame, and their 2013 split. It also celebrated the trio’s reunion, and the making of their comeback album, Happiness Begins . Picking up where the last film left off, their new documentary captures the group’s extensive tour around the album.

On Thursday, the brothers hosted a live  Q&A , where they announced their new film and premiered an enticing trailer.

Helen Reddy’s ‘I Am Woman’: The Story Behind The Song

‘back to black’: the story behind amy winehouse’s hit song.

“In the documentary, we highlight a lot of different cities”, shared Joe, from his home in Los Angeles. “You’ll see a lot from Mexico, you’ll see a lot from California, some from Madison Square Garden shows, some good stuff in there”.

Nick also pointed out that the documentary covers the opening night of the tour in Miami, which he called, “One of the most special nights for us”. The evening, which marked the brothers’ first show together after reuniting, was, “A magical moment, I think probably my favourite or top five of the tour”.

When asked by a fan how they felt about the first night of their Happiness Begins tour, Joe said, “We were over the moon. We couldn’t believe that it all worked the way we hoped it would.” He added, “Overall we felt like our dream was coming to life, and you really get to see this in this documentary
Being able to show [our fans] what it was like preparing for this first show and getting back on stage with Kevin and Nick, there was a lot of emotion that was attached to it.”

On Twitter, Joe, Kevin and Nick also encouraged their followers to share their Zoom viewing party details with them. They surprised a few lucky fans on Friday evening by dropping in to say hello.

Jonas Brothers tell of humble Jersey roots at massive PruCenter homecoming concert

3 minute read.

happiness begins tour jonas brothers

They're from Little Falls and they had big dreams.

The Jonas Brothers made those dreams come true.

The story unfolded Dec. 6 at the band's nearly three-hour career-spanning homecoming concert delivered with moxie and heart at the Prudential Center in Newark.

Moxie as the three brothers — Nick, Kevin and Joe — took the stage with an 11-piece band and four backing singers. This was a big production with two stages, a mid-audience grounded catwalk, snow, confetti, pyrotechnics and lots of moving parts.

Heart as the band has a good-guy appeal. Joe apologized before he said the F-word to describe cancer as they dedicated the ballad “Little Bird” to a fan who had lost a relative to the disease.

The female fan wiped a tear from her eye as they sung.

"Five Albums. One Night. The World Tour" started at Yankee Stadium in New York in August. In Newark, the Jonas Brothers played all or parts of 61 songs, dating back to their 2007 album, “Jonas Brothers,” which is actually their second major-label release,

“We had just been dropped by our first record label,” said Nick before performing “Take a Breath” from “Jonas Brothers.” “It's OK guys, it's OK. It all worked out just fine. We went down to our basement in our house in Jersey (in Little Falls) and started writing songs about things that were real to us for the first time in a long time instead of being pushed in a direction that didn't feel right to us.

"We just did whatever felt right to us, and it led us to this moment right here many, many years later.”

The Jonas Brothers' career got a boost from the Disney “Camp Rock” franchise, and they became one the biggest acts in the music world in the late 2000s and early 2010s. The band broke up in 2013, and reunited in 2019 with the album “Happiness Begins.”

Their latest album, “The Album,” was released in May, which hit No. 3 on the Billboard album chart.

There was no mention of the Jonas’ breakup, but there was perhaps a symbolic reference to the split. Nick's “A Little Bit Longer,” written about his battle with Type 1 diabetes, was movingly performed with him playing piano on the audience stage, as Kevin and Joe walked across the arena from the main stage toward him.

In the post-split era, the song's “you don't know what you got until it's gone” line can could also be interpreted as a reference to the brothers' time apart.

As for the Jonas wives, Danielle Jonas, wife of Kevin, was mentioned by her husband as he introduced “Summer Baby.”

“This next song is about falling in love on the beach,” said Kevin, who lives in Denville with Danielle and her family. “Just like I did with the most amazing Jersey girl in the world.”

There were no sightings or mentions of actress Priyanka Chopra, who is married to Nick, nor actress Sophie Turner, who recently separated from Joe.

Frankie Jonas, the fourth Jonas Brother, drew cheers from the crowd as he took his seat in the audience.

The night was all about the three brothers, their band and their catalog of agreeable pop-rock hits and sweeping melodic ballads. The packed crowd, mostly women who grew up with the Jonas guys, were clapping along with “I Believe” toward the end of the show.

“Leave Before You Love Me” ended things with a touch of melancholy.

But not too much melancholy, as the Jonas Brothers are back Thursday, Dec. 7. Tickets begin at $40 on Ticketmaster.
