“Embark upon a short-but-thrilling excursion into the heart of the Khumbu highlands, where you’ll come face-to-face with the incomparable majesty of the legendary Mount Everest.”

Join Alpine Ramble Treks on the most accessible Everest trek in Nepal.

For seasoned adventurers, there’s nothing quite like the Khumbu. This is Nepal’s most fabled territory, where Mount Everest rises above a sea of surrounding Himalayan mountains to touch the sky itself. This part of the country is also home to the hard-working Sherpa people, who are widely acclaimed for their hospitality and masterful mountaineering skills. Is it any wonder that travelers from all over the world are drawn to trek in the Everest region? Many winding trails crisscross the peaks and valleys of the mountains here in Khumbu, leading to holy lakes, ancient monasteries, and unbelievable alpine viewpoints. But this is a remote territory, far from the nearest airports and highways—and it takes time to reach Khumbu’s most spectacular destinations. That’s why Alpine Ramble Treks has developed our Everest Panorama Trek. Over the course of just about one week, you’ll achieve unforgettable views that will rival any you’ll find elsewhere in the Himalayas.

Explore the wilds of the Khumbu on the Everest Panorama Trek.

Make no mistake: the Everest Panorama Trek represents one of the very best treks in Nepal. In fact, much of your trail will actually overlap with the world-famous Everest Base Camp Trek, affording you a glimpse into one of the most time-honored hiking routes in the entire world. While we’ll stop short of visiting base camp itself on this more accessible trekking itinerary, you’ll nevertheless plunge into the scenic wilderness of Sagarmatha National Park to discover the wonders of Nepal’s natural landscapes. You’ll cross swiftly flowing rivers tumbling from high-altitude glaciers, trek beneath the boughs of evergreen and rhododendron forests, and ascend to sheer alpine heights. Keen-eyed travelers may even be lucky enough to spot some of Khumbu’s most iconic wildlife, including ungulates like the musk deer and Himalayan tahr, as well as colorful birds like the Himalayan monal and snowcock. When you trek in the Khumbu, there’s bound to be beauty everywhere you look.

Feast your eyes on the majesty and splendor of the mighty Mount Everest.

Trekking in Nepal is all about the journey: from your very first footsteps in the mountain town of Lukla, you’ll discover breathtaking scenery, taste unforgettable Nepali cuisine, and make plenty of new friends in the Sherpa communities you’ll visit. But there’s something to be said for the destination of your trek in the Khumbu, too: Mount Everest itself is the world’s tallest mountain, and there’s no adequate preparation for seeing it with your own two eyes. Rising to 8,848 meters in elevation, the towering edifice of Everest is like a colossal magnet, drawing you closer to its grandeur with each step you take on the trail. Your trek in the Khumbu will culminate with a close-up view of this sublime Himalayan summit, as well as the neighboring mountains of Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku—among others. With such magnificent scenery to offer, it’s no wonder that this trek is also known as the Everest View Panorama Trek. When you’re ready to experience this thrilling trek for yourself, contact Alpine Ramble Treks via WhatsApp at +977 9851175531.

Best Time of Year for the Everest Panorama Trek

The best time of year for the Everest Panorama Trek is much the same as the best time of year for the Everest Base Camp Trek. Weather in Nepal is variable, and the best trekking seasons are usually determined by the arrival of the summer monsoon. In order to avoid the wettest conditions, many hikers travel during the spring, which occurs from February to March. This is the time of year when wildflowers are in bloom, and temperatures are at their most comfortable. Other trekkers might prefer to undertake the Everest View Trek during the autumn season, between September and November. This is perhaps the best time of year for crisp days and clear mountain views. Of course, winter treks are also possible; while temperatures can be cold and trails can be packed with snow, there is an undeniable appeal to enjoying the majesty of the Khumbu without a crowd. While the summer monsoon can make trekking challenging during this season, Alpine Ramble Treks will be happy to arrange a suitable adventure for you at any time of the year.

Please note: On rare occasions, domestic flights between Kathmandu and Lukla may be delayed or canceled due to weather conditions. This can happen during any time of the year, and you can rest assured that Alpine Ramble Treks will work with you to make any possible alternative arrangements to minimize the interruption to your holiday.

Everest Panorama Trek Difficulty

Prior trekking experience is not a prerequisite for our Everest Panorama Trek, and most travelers in reasonable health will be able to complete this itinerary without serious difficulty. However, this trek does reach a maximum altitude of approximately 3,700 meters, where it’s possible to experience symptoms of altitude sickness. For this reason, you should be in good health and physical fitness before embarking upon the Everest Panorama Trek. Walking, running, and other forms of cardiovascular exercise are great ways to prepare for the opportunity to visit the high-altitude Khumbu region. An expert guide from Alpine Ramble Treks will also be assigned to watch over you, monitor your progress and condition, and shepherd you safely through Nepal’s most stunning alpine environments.

More Everest Trekking Options

Not sure if our Everest Panorama Trek is the right choice for you? Never fear—there are no bad choices when it comes to trekking in Nepal. If you’re looking for an even shorter trek, our Everest View Trek offers the chance to earn great views of Mount Everest in the space of just five days. And if you have a little more time to spare and would like to explore more of the Khumbu, it’s hard to beat our classic Everest Base Camp trekking itinerary. Of course, you aren’t limited to the Khumbu when it comes to picking the best treks in Nepal. The Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Langtang Valley Trek are stars in their own right, and each hiking itinerary offers the chance to venture into remote corners of the Himalayas to discover a bewitching combination of nature and culture. Best of all, each of these itineraries can be customized to meet your needs. If you aren’t sure where to start, contact Alpine Ramble Treks today for some free expert advice!

Day 1: Kathmandu

It’s time to prepare for your adventure on the Everest Panorama Trek! When you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport, a member of the Alpine Ramble Treks team will be waiting to meet you. After welcoming you to Nepal, our representative will escort you to the popular Thamel district of Kathmandu, where you’ll get checked into your hotel for the night. Your trekking guide will also meet you at the hotel, and you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions about the Everest Panorama Trek before we get started tomorrow morning. You’ll have the rest of the afternoon and evening at your leisure, with plenty of time to explore the colorful markets and irresistible restaurants of Thamel. Later, you’ll return to your hotel to spend your first night in the Himalayan country of Nepal.

  • Accommodation: Hotel
  • Meals: Breakfast
  • Max. Altitude: 1350 m

Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (30 minutes), then trek to Phakding (4 hours)

To begin the Everest Panorama Trek, we’ll first need to reach the gateway to the Khumbu: Lukla. This mountain town is just a short flight from Kathmandu, but it’s likely to be one of the most scenic you’ve ever experienced—be sure to grab a window seat! When we land in Lukla, we’ll get acquainted with the rest of our trekking team, including the hard-working porters who make Everest treks possible. When it’s time to set out, we’ll hit the trail and turn our feet towards Phakding.

You can expect about four hours of walking today, which makes for a pleasant introduction to the challenges of trekking at high altitudes. Our steps will trace the cold waters of the Dudh Koshi River, and our path will lead us through the Sherpa villages of Cheplung and Ghat. During this first real day of trekking in the Khumbu, you’re sure to be awestruck by the impressive sight of mighty Himalayan summits piercing the sky—and when we arrive in Phakding, you’ll be ready for a good night’s rest. When you trek in Nepal, you can expect to enjoy comfortable, basic trekking lodges or teahouses. You’ll always have a clean bed, a hot meal, and plenty of good conversation.

Please note: Your flight to Lukla may depart from the Ramechhap Airport in Manthali rather than Kathmandu, due to ongoing upgrades at the Tribhuvan International Airport. Alpine Ramble Treks will keep you apprised of the situation and arrange any necessary additional transportation via microbus.

  • Accommodation: Trekking Lodge
  • Hiking time: 6 hrs approx
  • Meals: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner
  • Max. Altitude: 3,450m

Day 3: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (5 hours)

After a hearty breakfast in Phakding, we’ll set our course for Namche Bazaar. For our money, there’s no more alluring destination in all of the Khumbu. Even its very name conjures images of adventure and intrigue; this is a historic trading town nestled in a bowl of impossibly scenic Himalayan mountains. To get there, we’ll traverse some truly jaw-dropping scenery. Today’s route will bring us across several gravity-defying suspension bridges laden with colorful prayer flags and into the cool, deep shade of pine and rhododendron forests. Between the boughs of the trees, you’ll be able to spot the towering peaks known as Kusum Kanguru (6,367 meters) and Thamserku (6,608 meters). Before we arrive in Namche Bazaar, you’ll even get your first good look at Mount Everest itself.

When we first set foot in Namche, your instinct will be to explore the town to its fullest—and who could blame you? This vibrant community is full of irresistible bakeries, fascinating museums, and gobsmacking mountain views. We’ll get checked into our lodge and unload our bags, leaving you the rest of the afternoon and evening to explore Namche at your leisure. If you’re looking for souvenirs of your trek in Nepal, don’t miss the main market—you’ll find everything you could want to commemorate your time here in Khumbu.

  • Hiking time: 6-7 hrs approx
  • Max. Altitude: 3700 m

Day 4: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (4 hours)

We’ll continue following in the footsteps of trekkers bound for Everest Base Camp today, leaving the Himalayan hub of Namche Bazaar behind us as we climb higher into the mountains of the Khumbu. You’ll be on your feet for about four or five hours, traversing lush rhododendron forests and stopping to visit the memorial stupa dedicated to Nepal’s most famous mountaineer, Tenzing Norgay. Throughout the course of today’s portion of the Everest Panorama Trek, you’ll catch tantalizing glimpses of the region’s most spectacular peaks: Thamserku, Kangtega, Lhotse, Kusum Kanguru, and—of course—the incomparable Everest, known here in Nepal as Sagarmatha or Chomolungma.

Tengboche boasts what’s arguably the most famous monastery in the entirety of the Himalayas, and a visit to this ancient gompa is sure to represent the highlight of your stay in this scenic mountain town. If you’re lucky, you may even be able to witness the monastery’s dedicated monks as they observe their daily prayers and rituals; respectful visitors are always welcome. You’ll also want to spend some time simply admiring the spectacular views from Tengboche itself. Later this evening, you’ll bed down in the cozy accommodations of the best available trekking lodge or teahouse for another good night’s rest.

  • Hiking time: 4-5 hrs approx
  • Max. Altitude: 3,860m

Day 5: Trek from Tengboche to Khumjung (5-6 hours)

This morning, we’ll enjoy a leisurely breakfast as dawn breaks gloriously across the peaks and troughs of the mighty Himalayan mountains. When we’re ready to set off, we’ll plunge into the beautiful green world of rhododendron forests and trace the shoreline of the Dudh Koshi river once again before arriving in Khumjung after about five or six hours on the trail. Your time here in Khumjung is sure to be unforgettable, as this is one of the most remarkable villages you’ll visit during any trek in Nepal. The community lies clustered at the base of the sacred mountain Khumbila, known locally as the God of the Khumbu. It’s one of the larger towns in this part of Nepal, and you’ll have the chance to mingle with local Sherpas as you unwind from today’s trek.

From Khumjung, we’ll also set out on a short hike to visit the Hotel Everest View, where you’ll earn what might be the finest views of the mountain on our entire Everest trek. This is what you’ve come to Nepal to see: a breathtaking panoramic view not only of Mount Everest, but also the entire majesty of the Khumbu: Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and many more jaw-dropping Himalayan giants. Later this afternoon, we’ll return to town to spend the night in our comfortable guesthouse accommodations. Before you turn in for the night, consider paying a visit to the Khumjung monastery: its colorful artwork is splendid, and its hushed interior houses what’s purported to be a scalp of the legendary yeti!

  • Max. Altitude: 3900m

Day 6: Trek from Khumjung to Lukla (5 hours)

After a sumptuous breakfast and plenty of hot tea in the lovely community of Khumjung, we’ll begin the last phase of our Everest trek. It’s time to begin retracing our steps, descending from the highlands of the Khumbu and hiking in the direction of Lukla. We’ll traverse barren hilltops surrounded on all sides by towering Himalayan peaks, pass ancient chortens marking our path, and arrive in Namche Bazaar just in time for an early lunch—or a last-minute shopping trip. You’ll see the colorful rooftops of Namche from a long way off, signaling the approximate halfway point of today’s trek.

As we depart from Namche for the last time, we’ll reenter the evergreen forests that characterize the lower slopes of the Khumbu. After about five hours of total hiking today, we’ll find ourselves pulling into Lukla once again. We’ll get checked in at our comfortable hotel, where you’ll have the chance to enjoy a hot shower and a change of clothes before we get our trekking team together for a final celebratory meal here in town. Lukla is known for its quirky vibes, excellent cuisine, and a pervasive sense of adventure. While our own adventure on the Everest Panorama Trek is drawing to a close, we still have one night to spend here in the mountains of the Khumbu.

  • Max. Altitude: 2810 m

Day 7: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu (30 minutes)

After an unforgettable Everest trekking adventure, it’s time to depart from the magical alpine landscapes of the Khumbu. We’ll board our flight from Lukla to Kathmandu early this morning, while the weather is clear and the mountain views are at their most spectacular. As the sprawling majesty of the Himalayas unfolds beneath the wings of your plane, you’ll savor one last look at the incredible sights that have drawn you to embark upon your unforgettable Everest Panorama Trek. And when it comes to trekking in Nepal, hiking amongst the tallest mountains on the planet is surely the chief draw—who wouldn’t want to see Mount Everest with their own eyes?

But don’t be surprised if it’s the people and culture of Nepal that make a lasting impression on you. When we arrive back in Kathmandu, we’ll get checked into your hotel, leaving the rest of the afternoon and evening for you to explore the city at your leisure. From the twin stupas of Swayambhunath and Boudhanath to the sprawling temple complex at Kathmandu Durbar Square, Nepal’s capital is full of architectural and religious wonders. Of course, culture and food are also inseparable—and you’ll find no shortage of tempting restaurants here. If you need any recommendations or would like to arrange a guided tour of the city, Alpine Ramble Treks would be happy to help.

  • Max. Altitude: 30 m

Food on Everest Panorama View Trek

Trekking in the Himalayas is an amazing adventure experience of a lifetime, for multiple days of trekking, we obviously need a solid diet and hygienic foods to keep us strong and energized. As we trek in the mountain our body obviously needs a good level of dieting foods like protein and carbohydrates to maintain our fitness level for the trekking. However, the meal on this trek is very handy but it might be slightly different in size/taste than it in city areas.

During the trek, we have a pretty wide selection of the food items on the tea houses menus which are originated and prepared by the local community, the names of the most common meals of the region as given below.

Common Breakfast options  - Tibetan Breads (a fried bread in oil, it’s also named Gurung bread in the Annapurna area), Chapati with Cheese (dry bread- a local wheat bread), Oatmeal, French toast with jam, honey, and peanut butter, Corn Flakes, Hashed brown, fried, Scrambles and boiled eggs, pancakes, porridge with milk, Muesli, Vegetable items and any kind of hot drinks are available except espresso, Americano

Common Lunch options  – different verity of Thukpa (noodle soup), Dahl and Bhat (Nepalese local meal), Momos ( dumplings), Tibetan / chapatti bread, Macroni, Spaghetti, Sherpa Stew, a verity of soups, steaks, potatoes items, Sandwiches, Pizza, rice with curry, spring rolls, burgers and Pizza, yak steak and desserts items.

Common Dinner options-  Momos (dumplings) different verity of Thukpa (noodle soup), Dahl and Bhat (Nepalese local meal), Tibetan / chapatti bread, Macroni, Spaghetti, Sherpa Stew, a verity of soups, steaks, potatoes items, Sandwiches, Pizza, rice with curry, spring rolls, Raman soups, burgers and Pizza, yak steak, desserts items, hot and cold drinks are available on the menus on tea house, the menu’s selected meals are fresh and healthy with hygienic specialists by the mountain for the mountain trekkers.

On the tea houses, the menu has plenty of non-veg items mentioned but officially any of the meats are not on our list of recommendations because the meat in the mountain such as high areas is not sanitary and healthy. However, we would like to persuade you to avoid taking meat, Alcoholic drinks, and smoking.

Deseret and Snacks options,- Rice Pudding, Apple pie, fruits snicker/ mars bar, popcorns, cake, and pastries, etc.

Hot Drink options –  Varieties of hot drinks like black/milk coffees, black/mint/ginger/Green/ lemon honey teas, hot chocolates, hot mango juice, hot oranges juice, hot pineapple juice, etc.)

Water options during Everest Panorama View Trek

The water on a trek is available at every trekking lodge or shopping shop along the way, buying a regular bottle of mineral water costs 1-3 USD per litter. Annapurna region has plenty of water sources to get the water as you can also refill the water from the random taps or water sources, refilling waters from any of those sources is potable but it will be fine to drink with a Lifetraw or using the water purification pills – at least 2-4 L water per day is recommended to drink that keeps you hydrated.

Accommodation facts on Everest Panorama View Trek

Accommodations on the mountain are very simple in tea hoses. The rooms typically only 2- 3 single beds with nice and warm blankets, pillows, comfortable matrices, attached bathrooms (not everywhere), and nice views. However, a single private room will be provided during the trek without any extra cost for solo female travelers.

During the trek, we will ensure and accommodate you to the best available tea houses with great views of the mountain and sceneries.

Tok Rei - November 10, 2018

It was a great trek!! I had enjoyed all the little things that happened, for example, our guide sujal always checking on us to see if we are fine, giving us snicker bars to recharge and checking our rooms etc. It was a very comfortable trip and an interesting experience.

Gozde K - September 19, 2018

I had an Everest view trek as a solo travaller for 4 days and a city tour in Kathmandu with Alpine Ramble Treks. From the beginning to the end, Dil always answered my questions very quickly and kindly. He welcomed me in the very early morning in the airport and explained me the trip in details. Our driver speaks English well and he was very punctual and kind. During my trekking, my guide Dikrai was always very kind and did his best to make me feel comfortable. He also helped me to carry my bag. Because it was low season, I was free to choose any hotel I liked. And he was also flexible with the itinerary, when I’d like to change some things. They are the kindest company and always try their best for their guests and you feel it. I’d like to come back for a longer trek in the future to beautiful Himalayas with them! I definetely recommend Dil and his team.

Soh K - February 10, 2018

My family of 4 went on the Everest Panorama View Trek organised by Dil from Alpine Rambles. Despite a very last minute request, Dil managed to make all the necessary arrangements (TIMS, permits, air tickets, guide and porter engagements, etc) in time for us to start our adventure. Sujal (our guide) is very helpful and attentive. Constantly checking on us. Especially on the last 2 days, whereby our flights from Lukla to Kathmandu got cancelled two days in a row due to bad weather. He stayed by us, making sure we got a room, had food, helped reschedule our air tickets, despite having his job “officially” done since we only signed up for 8 days. And ultimately, helped to arrange for helicopter ride back to Kathmandu. It is because of the unexpected flight cancellations that I feel very glad to have gone on this trek with Alpine Ramble. We felt we were in good hands. Prem (our porter) is a very humble and smiley diligent worker. Throughout the trek, he walked together (usually just slightly behind) with us, despite having a load. In short, you will be in good hands when you have your adventures with Alpine Rambles.

Tok M - December 12, 2017

I went on a 8 day trek to Everest Panorama View. The guide was caring and kept asking how we were and handed out snacks every night. Definitely recommend Alpine Ramble!

Julc s - October 19, 2017

In November our group (five people) succesfully completed a 16 day trekking in Everest Region. We reached Everest Base Camp (5364) and climbed Kalapathar. (5646 m). The trekking was organized by Alpine Ramble Company. This company povided accomodation, catering, guide and porters. We can say that Alpine Ramble is a very correct and good company, you can trust on everybody who works for the company. They answered all of our questions before the trip, and solved all of our problems that occured during the trekking. After the trekking we had some spare time so asked them to organize for us a two day tour to Chitwan National Park. They did it and we had a really good time there.

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport our staff will greet you and escort you to your hotel in Kathmandu. Depending upon your arrival time you may spend free time visiting nearby cultural sites, shopping or simply resting at the hotel.

Day 2 Kathmandu Welcome Dinner and Trek Briefing

Today we will be finalizing your trek preparations and permits. You will have the afternoon to explore the shops and cultural sites of Kathmandu and do any last minute gear shopping. In the afternoon or evening (your preference) you will enjoy a traditional Nepali welcome dinner and a trek briefing with your guide.

Day 3 Kathmandu to Phakding (2610m)

Early in the morning you will be picked up by one of the ITrekEverest staff to go to the airport, from where you will take the 35 minute flight to Lukla.  The Lukla flights depart from Ramechhap during peak season and Kathmandu during the off-season. You can read more about this here – (Lukla flights) At Lukla we will meet with our porters and head north to Chablung (2700m). Here we will cross the Tharo Kosi river on a local-style suspension bridge. Just past the bridge we can see the peak of Kusum Kangru (6367m), which is the most difficult of the so-called “trekking peaks”. Beyond the Tharo Kosi the trail climbs a bit towards Ghat (2590m), we will cross a ridge marked with painted mani stones and then cross a bridge over the Dudh Kosi river to our overnight lodge in Phakding (3 hrs).

Day 4 Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3420m)

From Phakding we follow the valley of the Dudh Kosi river, staying on the west bank of the river. We climb steeply over a rocky ridge towards Benkar (2710m). From here the trail continues alongside the river. All along this part of the trail, villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs. In both the early autumn and late spring, the flowers on this portion of the trek make it a beautiful walk. We cross the Kyashar Khola river and climb out of the valley to Monjo (2840m). Just beyond Monjo the trek enters the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park, which was established in 1976 to protect a 1148 sq km area surrounding Mt Everest. Beyond the national park entrance station, the trail makes a steep rocky descent and crosses the Dhud Kosi river on a 120m-long suspension bridge towards Jorsale (2830m). After crossing this river a few times while climbing our way up the valley we will reach Namche Bazaar (3420m). Namche Bazaar is the main trading centre in this region and features numerous shops, hotels and restaurants (6 hrs).

Day 5 Acclimatisation in Namche Bazaar

Acclimatisation is important before proceeding higher. Today we will take a day hike through the villages of Khunde and Khumjung. We start with a steep one-hour climb to the Shyangboche airstrip (3790m), from where we will slowly ascent towards Khunde passing numerous chorten (stone Buddhist monuments). From Khunde we follow the trail eastwards to Khumjung, the largest village in Khumbu, at the foot of the sacred peak Khumbila. After enjoying lunch here we will follow a steep switchbacking trail descending to Chhorkung (3540m). From here it is a quick descent back to Namche Bazaar (5 hrs).

Day 6 Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860m)

Our route of today to Tengboche weaves in and out of side valleys, making small ups and downs, to the teashops of Kenjoma, and joins the trail from Khumjung just before a collection of mani stones. The views of Everest and Ama Dablam are excellent from this part of the trek. We pass the small settlement of Sanasa from where the trail drops towards Phunki Thanga (3250m). From here the trail climbs steeply through forests and around mani stones as it follows the side of a hill to the saddle on whichh the monestary of Tengboche sits at 3870m. The view from here is rightly deemed to be one of the worlds most magnificent. Kwangde (6187m), Tawachee (6542m), Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse (8501m), Ama Dablan, Kantega and Thamserku provide an inspiring panorama of Himalayan giants. We will spend the night in Tengboche village (5 hrs).

Day 7 Tengboche to Khumjung Village (3789m)

Today we return halfway back to Namche Bazaar befor starting our hike up to the largest Khumbu settlement of the valley, Khumjung village. From Khumjung village a great view from Mt. Everest can be seen (4-5 hrs).

Day 8 Khumjung village to Phakding (2652m)

Today we descent first to Namche Bazaar and then continue our way back down the valley and descent steeply back to the Dudh Kosi river and continue our way past the national park checkpoint at Monjo. From Monjo we will go through forests of magnolia, giant firs and rhododendrons to Chomoa, the site of an agricultural project. We cross the Dudh Kosi river to its west-bank and continue our way down to Phakding (5 hrs).

Day 9 Phakding to Lukla

Trip Highlights

Unlocking the charms of the everest panorama trek.

Nestled within the formidable embrace of the Himalayas, the Everest Panorama Trek beckons brave adventurers to explore a condensed yet captivating slice of the Khumbu region’s splendor.

As a shorter and equally enchanting alternative to more demanding treks, this journey offers a compelling blend of cultural immersion, panoramic vistas, and the rich tapestry of Sherpa hospitality.

Join us on a virtual odyssey as we explore the Everest Panorama Trek, where each step reveals a world of natural wonders and cultural marvels waiting to be discovered.

Overview of the Everest Panorama Trek

The Everest Panorama Trek stands as a testament to the allure of the Khumbu region, offering a condensed yet immersive experience for trekkers seeking the magic of the Himalayas.

This trek begins with a thrilling flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a small airstrip perched amidst the mountains, serving as the gateway to the Khumbu.

From here, the trail winds through vibrant Sherpa villages, dense rhododendron forests, and alpine meadows, providing an ideal balance of natural beauty and cultural richness.

Route and Highlights

The journey unfolds with Lukla as the starting point, leading trekkers through a carefully curated path that showcases the best of the Khumbu region. Sherpa villages like Namche Bazaar, known for its bustling markets and the Hillary School, set the stage for cultural immersion.

As the trail ascends, the iconic Tengboche Monastery comes into view, offering spiritual solace amidst the grandeur of the Himalayas. Ama Dablam’s majestic peak and the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains create a visual feast for trekkers.

While the Everest Panorama Trek is shorter than more extensive treks in the region, it spans approximately 6 to 10 days. This condensed timeline makes it an appealing choice for those with limited time, providing a taste of the Himalayan experience without compromising its essence.

Best Time to Trek

The right time for this adventure is crucial for optimal weather conditions and clear mountain views. The recommended trekking seasons are pre monsoon (spring) from March to May and post-monsoon (autumn) from September to November.

During these periods, the skies are usually clear, offering unobstructed vistas of the towering peaks.

In this journey, trekkers not only witness the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayan landscape but also delve into the region’s rich cultural tapestry.

The Everest Panorama Trek is a perfect introduction to the wonders of high-altitude trekking, capturing the essence of Khumbu’s natural and cultural marvels in a condensed yet unforgettable experience.

Cultural Highlights of the Everest Panorama Trek

The Everest Panorama Trek isn’t just a visual feast of mountain landscapes and a cultural odyssey through the heart of Sherpa communities. As trekkers traverse the enchanting trails, several cultural highlights contribute to the richness of the experience.

Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazaar, nestled amidst towering peaks, is a vibrant cultural hub. Here, trekkers can explore local markets teeming with traditional crafts, artifacts, and the hustle and bustle of the Sherpa way of life.

The lively atmosphere provides an authentic introduction to the region’s commerce and communal spirit.

Tengboche Monastery

Perched at 3,867 meters (12,687 feet), Tengboche Monastery is a cultural centerpiece along the trek. As trekkers approach, the monastery reveals its intricate architecture against snow clad peaks.

Inside, the air is filled with the scent of burning juniper incense, and the sound of monks’ chants creates a tranquil ambiance. Visitors may witness traditional ceremonies, adding a spiritual dimension to their journey.

Sherpa Hospitality

Sherpa villages along the route offer trekkers a warm and hospitable welcome. Sherpas, renowned for their friendliness, often invite travelers into their homes, providing a glimpse into their daily lives.

Sharing traditional butter tea or indulging in local delicacies fosters a cultural exchange that enriches the trekking experience.

Cultural Etiquette

Understanding and respecting Sherpa customs is integral to a meaningful trek. Trekkers are encouraged to walk clockwise around sacred structures (chortens and mani walls), avoid pointing at religious objects, and seek permission before photographing locals.

These gestures show cultural sensitivity and contribute to positive interactions with the communities.

The Everest Panorama Trek, with its cultural highlights, offers more than just scenic beauty; it unfolds the living traditions of the Sherpa people.

From bustling marketplaces to serene monasteries, every cultural encounter adds depth and authenticity to the journey, making it not just a trek but a cultural immersion into the heart of the Khumbu region.

Panoramic Views on the Everest Panorama Trek

One of the most enchanting aspects of the Everest Panorama Trek is the kaleidoscopic array of panoramic views that unfold with each step, creating a visual symphony of the Himalayan landscape.

Trekkers are treated to a breathtaking spectacle that includes iconic peaks, serene valleys, and the vast expanse of the Khumbu region.

Scenic Vistas

As the trek winds through the trails, trekkers are greeted with awe-inspiring vistas at every turn. With its striking pyramid-shaped peak, Ama Dablam stands as a sentinel overlooking the landscape.

The towering presence of Thamserku and the majestic sweep of the Himalayan range create a dramatic backdrop against the clear blue sky.

Ever-Changing Canvas

The trek’s elevation gains reveal an ever-changing canvas of snow-clad giants. Peaks like Kangtega and Kwangde Ri come into view, their snowy slopes glistening in the sunlight.

The gradual ascent to higher altitudes offers trekkers an evolving perspective, ensuring that no two moments on the trail provide the same view.

Photographic Opportunities

For photography enthusiasts, the Everest Panorama Trek is a paradise. From vantage points like Tengboche and Namche Bazaar, trekkers can capture postcard perfect shots of the surrounding peaks bathed in the golden hues of sunrise and sunset.

The play of light and shadow on the mountains creates a magical ambiance, making every photograph a cherished memory.

Prominent Peaks Visible

The trek provides a front-row seat to some of the world’s highest peaks. Mount Everest , though not the primary goal of this trek, makes intermittent appearances, teasing trekkers with glimpses of its formidable presence.

Lhotse and Nuptse complete the majestic panorama, creating an iconic lineup of Himalayan giants.

Best Times for Photography

Timing plays a crucial role in capturing the best photographs. Mornings and evenings offer soft, golden light that enhances the contours of the mountains.

Clear skies during the recommended trekking seasons (spring and autumn) provide optimal visibility, allowing trekkers to appreciate and immortalize the beauty surrounding them.

In essence, the Everest Panorama Trek is not merely a physical journey but a visual feast for the senses. The panoramic views unfold like chapters in a story, each revealing a new facet of the Himalayan masterpiece.

Trekkers, armed with cameras or simply absorbing the scenery with their eyes, embark on a mesmerizing voyage through a landscape that transcends the ordinary and etches itself into the soul.

Musk deer, known for their elusive nature, may occasionally appear, adding a sense of mystery to the trek.

For bird enthusiasts, the Everest Panorama Trek is a delight. Colorful Himalayan monals, resembling peacocks, are a common sight. The national bird of Nepal, the Impeyan pheasant, with its vibrant plumage, adds a touch of regality to the landscape. Trekkers may also spot eagles soaring high above the mountain ridges.

Biodiversity Hotspots

The Gokyo Valley, a highlight of the trek, is home to glacial lakes surrounded by rocky terrain. This unique environment supports a variety of plant life adapted to the harsh conditions, creating a distinctive landscape.

The sparkling turquoise waters of the lakes enhance the visual appeal of this biodiverse hotspot.

Conservation Awareness

Trekkers are encouraged to approach the flora and fauna respectfully, maintaining a minimum impact on the fragile ecosystems. Following Leave No Trace principles and staying on designated trails contribute to preserving Khumbu’s natural beauty for future generations.

Lunch will be served here, and then it’s uphill to Namche. Our path along the riverbank is flanked by two crossings, one of which is the Hillary Suspension Bridge. It’s a tough climb up the hill to our resting place, but you’ll be rewarded in Namche Bazaar with your first glimpse of Everest in all its majesty.

The majestic mountains of the Everest Region look just as glorious all year round. However, the trek route is what makes the Everest Panorama Trek adventurous and memorable.

With clear skies and a clear view of the mountains and the valleys, your Everest panorama trip will be the most memorable one yet.

The month of Autumn is considered the peak season as the months of September to November finally clear up the monsoon rain and the hot and humid weather of summer. Everyone wants to go on a trip with beautiful views after the summer is over. So, this season provides you with cool breezes with the sun shining on you and most importantly clear skies with no rain clouds. This is the best time for Everest panorama trek.

The months of March to May bring about the Spring season . The spring season brings you with a variety of flora and fauna and many unique biodiversities. A new beginning of everything brings you a new chapter of memorable moments with our 9 days Everest Panorama Trek.

The months of November to February are kind of the chilly months as winter starts in November. The early November will be fun to trek in the Everest Region. However, the winter months can get pretty cold in the Everest Region, But, the views of the snow-capped mountains and the trees will get you fired up in no time. The views of the mountains will be glorious. But you should take care of yourself in the cold and take proper clothing and precautions.

The summer season lasts from the month of June to August . These months perceive a lot of rainfall in Nepal. So it is better to avoid these months as the roads get slippery and muddy. But, you can go trekking if you are well prepared and used for these kinds of weather and terrain. However, going on a clear day beats the rainy days as the views of the mountains are not really clear on rainy days.

If you are a professiona l and know all the routes, sure you can trek solo. However, it is recommended to travel with a guide for safety reasons. Also if you are trekking in the rainy season, you should not trek solo.

I hope you have a fun and memorable time throughout your Everest Panorama Trek. Going through the dense forests, the tiring hikes, the beautiful sceneries, the cultural exposure, hope they all leave a beautiful mark on your hearts named Nepal.

The food along the trail will be simple and a mix of local and international cuisine. If the trekking is camping trekking, then you will mainly be served the local foods of Nepal as well as continental and western foods. Itinerary Detail Expand All Close All

When you arrive in Kathmandu from your home on the designated flights, our TH personnel will be there to greet you politely. After being greeted, you will be driven to one of the lovely hotels in Kathmandu's Thamel neighborhood. You will enjoy this location since it is exciting to be in and has a lot of businesses, restaurants, and shops. You can also take a short stroll around the streets to get the supplies you need for your trek. When you have finished making all the required preparations, our guide will brief you on the trek and other important information at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Today we will take a quick drive to the domestic airport in Kathmandu to catch a wonderfully picturesque 35-minute flight to Lukla. You will soon touch down at Lukla Airport's unique runways between the mountains with breathtaking vistas of the Himalayan range. Once you arrive in Lukla, you will have some time to relax and keep yourself energized with a morning beverage and meal. Following breakfast, you will gently begin the walkthrough of Lukla's market and proceed downwards for a while. Short ascents continue as you progressively weave your way down the route, which offers vistas of the snow-capped peaks of KusumKanguru and Kwangde as well as several farms and settlements. After passing through a few villages, you will eventually arrive at your overnight stay in Phakding on the banks of the DudhKoshi River.

Our second day of trekking begins with a short, easy hike that mostly follows the DudhKoshi River. We arrive in Monjo village after crossing the same river on a suspension bridge. It is a charming community with lodges that have long catered to hikers. You can see Khumbi-la Mountain, the protector deity of the Khumbu region, and Thermasharkhu Peak from here. Additionally, Monjo serves as the entry to Sagarmatha National Park, where you must obtain permission in order to enter the region. After taking a little break, we'll continue walking to Jorsalle village for lunch, crossing the DudhKoshi. Before reaching Namche, this is the sole settlement for two to three hours on the route. You will next cross the final bridge across the Imjatse River (which enters DudhKosi) after briefly walking on the riverbed from this point on. In addition, you will spend a few hours climbing a hill while passing through a stunning alpine forest with rhododendron, pine, and fir trees. Also, the breathtaking mountain landscape of Kwangde, KusumKanguru. Mt. Everest and Lhotse may be viewed well from here if the weather is clear. You will arrive in the well-known Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital of the Khumbu area, after a difficult ascent of a few hours. Many homes with lodges, hotels, taverns, restaurants, cyber cafés, health posts, post offices, and banks may be found here. Overnight at the lodge in Namche Bazaar.

In order to be safe from AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness), it is crucial and required to take a day or two of rest while at this altitude. You must also consume a lot of liquids to stay hydrated. Today, you might choose to take a trek up to the Everest View Hotel in Namche, which is recognized as the tallest hotel in the world at 3,880 meters. You may expect to see Mt. Everest and the spectacular AmaDablam peak during the 2- to 3-hour journey at this hotel. Further, another great choice is to climb Namche Hill for a view of Namche from above, including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Tawache, Tarmasarku, Kwangde, and AmaDablam peaks. You may also go to the informative museum to learn more about the Khumbu area. You can visit the bazaar's great shops after finishing the trek. Normally, on Saturdays when the major market is held, this area is crowded with residents and trekkers. Overnight at the lodge in Namche bazaar.

Your morning will begin with a brief ascent to the crest above Namche today. After that, you'll have an easy stroll for the initial part of the day with views of the mountains and stunning scenery in the region. A lunch stop at Phungi-tenga, which is situated in a canyon by the river Imjatse and in the middle of alpine woods, is reached after continuing through some lovely woodland and after an hour of downhill walking. You will then begin an upward climb between rhododendron and pine tree lines, with stunning vistas of snow-capped peaks. This landscape will therefore take you to Tengboche Monastery (Gomba), where you will spend the night. Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and the imposing Mts. AmaDablam, Kangtenga, Thermasharkhu, and Kwangde are just a few of the peaks that can be seen from this stunning panoramic location. Overnight at the lodge in Tengboche.

After you've had an amazing time at Tengboche, a morning stroll takes you down through the lovely tranquil woodland, past a few prayer walls. You will next proceed to cross a bridge over the rushing Imjatse River. Then, in order to reach the settlements of Lobisa and Shanasa, you will continue on a gradual, uphill hike with a few severe climbs. Another hour of stout climbing will get you to Khumjung village, one of the biggest settlements in the Khumbu and Everest region, where you'll find a beautiful glacier valley. The Sir Edmund Hillary Trust founded and continues to operate the High School in Khumjung Village. Further, a Yeti scalp is kept at an ancient monastery nearby as well in this village. Khunde and Khumjung are located in the same glacier valley as Khumbi-la, the majestic holy mountain and patron deity of the Khumbu area at 5,830 meters. Overnight at the lodge in Khumjung village.

Today you will retrace back to Namche Bazaar and then to Monjo. You also have the option to go to Khunde village and Syangboche where you will see a small airstrip. By walking for 30 minutes from Khumjung you may reach Khunde, where you will explore the hospital that was built and operated by the Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation. Exploring here, you can go to Shyangboce and finally come down to Namche Bazaar. Taking a break here, you will make your way toward Monjo village. From here, a 40-minute walk will take you to Syangboche and then downhill to Namche Bazaar. After a break and lunch stop, walkers can descend to Monjo village in the late afternoon. They can then return to the DudhKoshi Valley, crossing the same river a few times on the way. Finally, after crossing the Monjo Entrance/exit from here, you will head onto the lodge in the settlement.

Today is the last trekking day of your journey. After breakfast, you'll walk along the DudhKoshi River. You will engage in a pleasant walk as all you have to do is retrace from the trail that passes through Phakding, Benkar, Ghat, Chheplung, and lastly Lukla. You will reach Lukla at noon after a roughly six-hour journey. You'll have plenty of time to explore the Lukla market after that. Overnight at the lodge in Lukla.

You will fly to the Tenzing / Hillary airport in Lukla this morning following a fantastic breakfast. When it's time to take off for your 35-minute scenic flight to Kathmandu, you'll board a small aircraft that is of Dronier or Twin Otter type. After admiring the views, you will soon arrive at Kathmandu's domestic airport. You will then be transported to your personal accommodations, where you may unwind and do souvenir shopping later in the day. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Your time in Nepal is now at its conclusion. After spending a memorable and overwhelming time in the high Himalayas with the superb support of Team Himalayan guides and staff, you may bid a final goodbye to us. Three hours before your trip, a courteous representative from our company will transport you to the terminal at Kathmandu International Airport. Even if we are saying goodbye to you now, it's likely that we may cross paths again in the future.

The Everest Base Camp trek requires no expertise in mountaineering skills as it is just a long hike. People of all ages and shapes have completed this trek over the years and you can do it too.

The awe-inspiring landscape, vibrant prayer wheels, suspension bridges, dining around a fireplace, warm smiles of the natives, etc. tends to make the trek worth it.

Children are as young as 7 and adults over 65 have all done this trek. Steep ascents and descents and rocky paths may not be suitable for you if you have some knee problems or weak ankles. And it would be better to get a doctor consultation before heading on to this trek. If you are fit and also have some experience of trekking at high altitudes then you are fit enough to do the Everest Region trek.

The best season for the Everest Region trek is from September to early December when there is clear weather. Also, during March and May, the flowers are out and visibility is clear.

The route is relatively danger-free as the path has been widened in many places making it easier for the trekkers. The main problem is when people get Altitude sickness. Other than that, common injuries that people may face are twisted ankles and sprains. To cope with that we hire experienced guides and experts to tag along with your journey.

Of course, now the Everest Region trek has cell coverage. For charging the mobile, you should better pack some Power Banks. Some tea houses also have the facility of charging ports.

You should pack up the necessary gear for the trek and should consider how much weight you can lift for the trek. You can also read blogs about the trek and learn about the experiences of other people before you go on to the trek. We at Team Himalaya will make sure you are well-prepared as well.

Many People having families with children have completed this trek. But it is unwise to take children who don’t obey their parents or can’t talk properly about the early symptoms of altitude sickness.

Yes, it would be wise if you brought some dry foods, and power snack bars with you since buying snacks on the trail can be pretty expensive.

The accommodations are quite nice considering the elevation. During the peak time, our guide will help in pre-booking your rooms.

In the lower villages, you can find tea houses with 24/7 power. But as the elevation goes higher, teahouses are dependent on solar only so, you might not have the chance to charge your mobile. So, we suggest you carry lightweight solar power banks.

Drinking at least 4 liters of water a day is a must for this trek. So, you should purify all your drinking water with purifying tablets. And it is better to carry a thermos flask for boiling water which is provided to you in tea houses.

Yes, it can be normal to get altitude headaches. So, to be on the safe side our guide will be there 24/7 giving full advice and care for you

Clothes and gear are must-haves for this wonderful journey. You should get clothes and gear such as trekking poles, socks, boots, gloves, scarves, hats, sunglasses, and so on. We have a separate section for all the necessary clothes and gear you should need.

The best months for going on this awesome trekking would be February, March, April, and during the October-November months. During these months the skies are clear and you can have a splendid panorama view of the mountains. If you are a snow lover, then this might be the chance for you to experience it first-hand.

We can provide you with travel insurance but, it would be better for you to get your travel insurance done in your own country. We provide full insurance to our guides and other staff.

Yes, you should let us know beforehand since we need to adjust the itinerary according to your needs. Mostly our packages are flexible so you should not worry about getting the trek extended.

Since June, July, and August fall during the Monsoon Season, the paths are slippery and less relevant for hiking. The skies may not be clear, but you can find beautiful flora and fauna during the trek

The Everest Region trek can be done by a minimum of 1 person and the expected maximum number of people is 23 people. To fully enjoy this trek without much hustle, it is recommended to trek in smaller groups of people.

Everest Panorama Trekking was enjoyable and very satisfying and would like to recommend all travelers visiting Nepal. Short and scenic walk to Tengboche Monastery amidst beautiful surroundings of lovely trees, and a spectacular panorama of Everest with an array of peaks. A great trip from the start to the end of my wonderful holiday visiting ancient heritage sites and beautiful places it was well worth the price. The local Sherpa culture and hospitality were equally fascinating along with glorious views. All the credit goes to Team Himalaya and its expert friendly guide, staff, and cheerful strong porters.  Thanks to the whole team of Team Himalaya.

An unmanageable Everest panorama trekking

An unmanageable Everest panorama trekking, where views of towering snow-capped high mountains followed throughout the treks. What a great experience We had, it was so panoramic and beautiful along with local impressive cultures. I would like to recommend all travelers to Nepal, join Team Himalaya to enjoy the holiday of a lifetime. It was truly fascinating, the walk was scenic and pleasant the  The only hardest section was climbing to the colorful Namche Bazaar. As well few hours Uphill to beautiful Tengboche and the majestic Monastery, but it was worth the  hard effort. Thanks to Team Himalaya and the guide, porters for making our trip in Nepal so meaningful and enjoyable.

SeaWorld Orlando is making visible progress on its next attraction, Penguin Trek, an indoor-outdoor roller coaster set to open at the theme park this spring.

The ride’s rail – white on the outside stretches, black on the interior – is completely in place. The decor is in the works, including faux rockwork and expedition-inspired touches. Penguin Trek will operate in the building for the former Empire of the Penguin attraction, and there was demolition required in the plaza as well as some construction for a gift shop/exit. The iceberg look remains.

“You may remember from the previous ride, we were on a journey with Puck, who was a character that we created to symbolize that birth and growth of a penguin in the wild,” Clint Brinker, vice president of design and engineering, said during a hard-hat tour behind the construction walls.

“But here, the theming is very natural, and it’s about us explorers going out to see penguins in their natural habitat,” he said. “So the look and the feel and the textures … Everything we’re doing here is to create that feeling of an expedition with real penguins in their real environment.”

As with the previous attraction, parkgoers will encounter the real birds in their habitat at the end of the experience, right before the gift shop. But first, Penguin Trek passengers will ride snowmobile-inspired coaster vehicles through a darkened area with a couple of surprises and a big-screen view of a virtual vista.

“We really wanted that indoor section to still be fun and not just kind of be a drive-around show,” Conner Carr, ride engineer, said. “They go, and they see the vista, and then all of a sudden, the ice breaks away, and you’re dropping.”

This will lead dramatically to a hill and the bright outdoors above SeaWorld.

“So, you launch into the outside at 31 miles per hour — lots of twists and turns, you can see,” Brinker said. “It is what we call a mid-tier thrill. It is for the whole family, not too scary. But we have a second launch that brings you up to 43 miles per hour, just a couple moments where you add a little drama into the ride experience.”

“When you bank around that turn, you get a very cool, very unique view,” Carr said. “Both on the brake run and through that soaring curve, you actually get to look back and look down on the whole Antarctica area and kind of feel like you are soaring above everybody.”

Penguin Trek is situated near SeaWorld’s blue-railed Manta coaster and within eyeshot of its bright green Kraken ride. Visitors will be able to walk underneath the new rails, much like they can beneath parts of Manta and Pipeline, which opened at the park last year .

“I think it’s going to be a great experience for guests both on the ride and off the ride. It really adds a lot of life to this area,” Brinker said.

Penguin Trek will be the fifth coaster at SeaWorld Orlando manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard, following Kraken, Manta, Mako and Pipeline. It will have a height requirement of 42 inches.

Completion of the ride will lead to the reopening of the pathway to Sea Lion & Otter Stadium. Construction has been surrounded by regular SeaWorld activities. And planners were challenged by reusing the interior space of Empire of the Penguin, a trackless dark ride that operated from 2013 to 2020.

There are snug fits inside that structure with rails, the big screen, the first launch, loading areas and a snowy research facility theming near each other.

“That spacing works to your advantage for placemaking and gives you that that feeling of, you know, ‘Are we going to make it out?’” Brinker said.

An opening date for Penguin Trek has not been announced, but Brinker said the project is on schedule for its debut sometime in spring.

“We’re doing all the torquing and all the checks that we have to do for inspections and so forth before we start up the ride,” he said.

“Very soon, we’re going to do all the ride startup and testing, so it won’t be too long before you start seeing trains moving on track.”

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.

Coffee Ring

The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.

Zodiac Metro

According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.

Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.

Paleontological finds

Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

  • Every day each car in  Moscow metro passes  more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
  • Moscow subway system is the  5th in the intensity  of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
