Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, you are welcomed by the hospitable meeting and then you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu After breakfast, start the trip to visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, the place of the Malla and then the Shah Kings of Nepal, visiting Kumari Temple, house of the virgin goddess, visiting Swyambhunath, a stupa on the top of hill - from here you can overlook the scenery of Kathmandu Valley, Visiting Patn city, the second largest town in the valley, Krishna Mandir, Golden Temple etc. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: Fly Kathmandu - Bhadrapur Fly to Bhadrapur Airport, Meeting and assistance at the Airport by our Sikkimese counterpart and drive to Darjeeling (144km/6hrs) with stop at the border for immigration formalities and hot lunch at Marina's in Baghdogrs. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04: Sightseeing Darjeeling (3124m) In the morning visit Happy Valley Tea Garden, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Zoo, and Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center. Afternoon take Toy Train ride to Ghoom (subject to availability), visit Railway Museum and Ghoom Monastery. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 05: Darjeeling - Gangtok Early morning trip to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over the Himalayas. After breakfast drive to Gangtok with halt at Rangpoo for Sikkim Permit and Lunch. (116km/5-6hrs). Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06: Sightseeing in Gangtok (1600m) Morning: Ganesh Tok View Point, Enchey Monastery, Handicrafts Center and Flower Show (if available). Afternoon: Institute of Tibetology and Rumtek Monastery (24km from Gangtok). Overnight at Hotel.

Day 07: Gangtok - Pemayngtse Drive to Pemayngtse via Rabong La with hot lunch at Rabong La. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 08: Full day Pemayngtse Whole day sightseeing in Pemayangste - Sanga Choeling Monastery, Pemayangste Monastery and Rabdanste Palace (Rabdanste was the second capital of Sikkim). Overnight at Hotel.

Day 09: Drive to Yuksom After early breakfast drive to Yuksom, the first capital of Sikkim where the first Chogyal (Religious King) of Sikkim was consecrated in 1642. On the way visit Kecheopalri Lake. Check into hotel and after lunch walk to hermit's retreat at Dhubdi Monastery (circa 1700), possibly the oldest monastery in Sikkim. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 10: Drive Yuksom to Kalimpong After early breakfast drive to Kalimpong. Visit Tashiding Monastery on the way. It takes about 45 min to 1 hour to walk up to the monastery and about 30 min to walk back. Proceed to Kalimpong after monastery visit with pack lunch on the way. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 11: Full day Kalimpong Sightseeing in Kalimpong. Morning: Durpin Danra View point, monastery and flower nursery. Afternoon: Delo View point and local market. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 12: Fly Bhadrapur - Kathmandu Drive to Bhadrapur Airport to connect the flight to Kathmandu. Meet us at the airport, transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Your tour to Darjeeling and Sikkim starts with the early flight or drive from Kathmandu to Kakarvitta. Kakarvitta is the border between Nepal and India. From Kakarvitta, we will be driving towards Gangtok-the capital of Sikkim. The drive approximately takes about 5 hours as the drive will be lengthy and tiring. We will transfer you to the hotel in Gangtok. Gangtok has a lot to offer you as it is popular for its  Buddhist monasteries along with the natural landscapes. However, the real tour to Gangtok begins the next day as today you will be resting in the hotel after an exhausting long rise. Overnight at Hotel in Gangtok.

When it comes to nature and natural beauty Gangtok is the best option for many travelers. Anyone who is seeking for both natural and cultural visit this tour will be the perfect destination for you. Today’s tour lets you explore the beautiful capital of Sikkim. Early morning, we will visit Tashi viewpoint which is about 8km from Gangtok. Tashi Viewpoint left you with some great pictures of sunset and sunrise as well as the startling view of the entire great Himalayas. Then we will come back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, we will visit Ranaka Monastery which is 20km from Gangtok town  The monastery provides a great scenic view as well as a close encounter with Buddhist culture. It is also called Lindum Monastery.

Next is, the Banjharkri falls, a recreation center, and a tourist attraction place in Gangtok. Besides, we can enjoy the ropeway ride, which gives a stunning view of the whole Gangtok city. On the other hand, Gangtok is also popular for the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology and Dordul Chorten stupa. After visiting all these places, we can go to a flower exhibition in the evening in Gangtok. Overnight at the hotel in Gangtok.

Today we will visit one of the must-see places in Gangtok- Tsomgo Lake.but before Tsomgo Lake we will explore Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. It is a holy shrine that honors Indian army soldiers, folk heroes, and saint Baba Harbajan. Later, we will make our way to Tsomgo Lake- a high altitude scenic lake regarded as sacred by the Sikkimese. It is 40 km from Gangtok at an elevation of 12,310 feet. It is like a fairytale lake with icy blue water reflecting the striking peaks of the Himalayas. The prayer wheel and the small Shiva temple by the seashore are the scared nature of the lake to the locals. You can spend the entire day in the lake and never get enough of its overwhelming beauty.

However, if you wished to explore more of nature then you can visit Kyongnosia Alpine Sanctuary. It is 31 sq km in area and has got a variety of flora and fauna preserved. Therefore, you will spend your day at Tsomgo lake and in the evening return back to Sikkim. Overnight at a hotel in Sikkim.

After breakfast, we will head towards another beautiful city, Darjeeling- popular for its hill station. It takes about a couple of hours to reach Darjeeling. You can appreciate the common delights of Darjeeling as well as Pelling in the way. On your way to Darjeeling, you can explore some of the places like Rimbi waterfalls and Hydro project along with Khecheopalri Lake. Rimbi waterfall is formed over the Rimbi river, which is 12 km from Pelling. Situated at Darap Village, it is one of the scenic and popular waterfalls in Pelling. There is also the oldest hydropower station situated near the Rimbi falls.

Similarly, you can make a stop at Khecheopalri Lake, which is revered by both Hindus and Buddhists for its mythical associations. The coast of the river is connected with powerful figures such as Guru Padmasambhava, Lord Shiva, and Goddess tara. You will then arrive in Darjeeling. Overnight at Darjeeling.

You will spend your whole day in Darjeeling today. Early morning we will visit Tiger Hill at an altitude of 2590m to enjoy the sunrise view in the Kanchanjeunga range. Itis 13km away from Darjeeling and provide the magnificent view of snow-capped mountains sitting amongst the cotton clouds. A visit to Darjeeling is incomplete without a joyride to the Darjeeling Himalayan railway. It is also called Darjeeling Toy Train that runs between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling. It was constructed between 1879 and 1881 and is 88-km long in distance. Similarly, another set destination in Darjeeling is Ghoom Monastery which lies at an elevation of 8000 feet. It is the oldest Tibetan monastery with a 15-foot high statue of Maitreyi Buddha. One can view the panoramic Mt. Kanchenjunga outside this monastery.

The next place to visit in Darjeeling is the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, established on1954. It was primarily established to encourage and enhance the interest of the people in the sport of mountaineering. Aspiring mountaineers come to this place to enhance their skills of mountaineering. Early morning after breakfast, we will head towards Happy Tea valley at an altitude of 6800feet. It is the second oldest tea estate in Darjeeling which consists of 437acres in total land area. Happy Tea Valley is another must-see place in Darjeeling which is why we set an extra day for this tour. It reflects the growth of the finest shrub as well as offers a natural scenic view with a breathtaking view of the Himalayan foothills. This is a place with elegant beauty surrounded by acres of tea gardens and a beautiful aroma of high-quality tea. It is an excellent gateway to city life. Here, you can explore the typical village life with pristine landscapes, mountains stream, dense natural forests, and unique culture. Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu:

As soon as you arrive at the capital city, Kathmandu, you will be met by a representative from Nepal Mountain Trekkers at International Airport terminals and he will take you to your respective hotel ( Hotel Green Horizon ). After check-in at the hotel, you can enjoy the free time relaxing in a cozy room or stroll around the tourist hub Thamel area until the end of the day.

Day 2 : Sightseeing at Kathmandu:

After having our early meal, we start our day with a visit to the Nepal Mountain Trekkers office at Thamel. After being introduced to our team including tour guide, trekking leader, and director of operations, we head for necessary trekking preparations, getting needed equipment with the initiation of Kathmandu sightseeing around world heritage sites. Kathmandu durbar square, Swayambhunath stupa, Pashupatinath temple, and Boudhanath stupa are UNESCO world heritage sites that we explore till sunset. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu. We availed services from NatureWings for our Sikkim Darjeeling Tour last month December 12, 2019. We had a great time and our itinerary was smoothly and efficiently managed without any hiccups. Special mention for Indrajit and Arpan who catered to our grievances immediately. The hotels were good and booked in some of the top localities across Sikkim and Darjeeling with good accessibility and all the transport facilities and vehicles were excellent. We would specially like to mention our driver in Darjeeling Mr. Pritam for his outstanding service and punctuality. Overall we found the package to be a little expensive since we had to pay separately for Nathula and zero point (total of Rs 6500 for both since it was subject to availability of vehicle permit) and an additional Rs 1200 for a halt at Buddha Park in Ravangla. I would like to give a minor suggestion to the team to include major tourist points that fall on the way for eg. in our case Chardham at Namchi and Buddha Park at Ravangla fell on our way to Pelling from Gangtok.

We went to Sikkim December 12, 2019 and had a great time. Naturewings made our trip smooth and beautiful.

Day 1 : Arrive Kathmandu

On Arrival At Tribhuvan International Airport, a Representative from Our Office Will Greet You At the Airport and Escort You to Your Hotel. You’ll have Rest of the Day At Leisure. in the Evening You Will Be Briefed About Your Daily Tour Activities and Will Be Invited for Welcome Dinner in a Traditional Nepalese Restaurant.

Day 2 : Fly to Pokhara & Sightseeing in Pokhara

After Breakfast, Transfer to Airport for An Early Morning Flight to Pokhara. Pokhara: Situated About 200 Km West of the Capital Kathmandu, Pokhara is One of the Most Popular Tourist Destinations in Nepal and is the Second Most Populous City in the Country. Due to Its Proximity to the Annapurna Mountain Range the City is also a Base for Trekkers Undertaking Many Short or Long Treks. The Serene of Lakes and the Magnificence of the Himalayas Rising Behind Them Makes Pokhara An Ambience of Peace and Magic. Phewa Lake is a Semi Natural Freshwater Lake At An Altitude of 742m Located in the South of the Pokhara. The Annapurna Range On the North is Only About 28 Km (linear Distance) Away from the Lake, and the Lake is Famous for the Reflection of Mount Machhapuchhre and other Mountain Peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges On Its Surface.the Barahi Temple is Situated On An Island in the Lake and Thick Forest Lies On the Adjoining Southern Slopes of the Lake. Davi's Fall: Locally Known as Patale Chhango is An Awesome Waterfall Lying About 2 Km South-west of Pokhara Airport On the Highway to Tansen. The Water that Feeds the Devi’s Fall Comes from the Phewa Lake, Which Follows a Rocky Stream to Eventually Rush Down the Waterfall and Disappear. The Passages that Run Under the Ground are Connected to the Hole Below the Waterfall. The Best Time to View this Spectacular Sight is During the Monsoon Season When There is a High Rainfall and the Summer Season. An Interesting Modern Legend Says that a Foreigner Named David Was Dipping in the Pardi Khola (river) When the Floodgates of the Dam Were Opened, Sweeping Him Into An Underground Passage Beneath the Fall, Never to Be Seen Again. Gupteswar Cave: Gupteswar Cave is a Sacred Cave, Lies 2 Km from Pokhara Airport. The Entrance is Right Across from Devi's Fall and the Cave is Almost 3 Km Long. It Has Some Big Hall-size Rooms and Some Passages Where You have to Crawl On all Fours. This Cave Holds Special Value for Hindus Since a Phallic Symbol of Lord Shiva is Preserved Here in the Condition It Was Discovered.

Day 3 : Drive to Lumbini (7 Hrs)

Drive to Lumbini Via Tansen from Pokhara is Approx. 200 Kms. South West and Takes About 6-7 Hours. Tansen is a Beautiful Hill Station and Historical Town. Lumbini: Lumbini, Lying in the Foothills in the Himalayas in Nepal is a Buddhist Pilgrimage Site, Approx. 300 Kms South of Kathmandu. Designated as a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1997, the Site is a Large Garden with a Grove of Pipal Trees. The Most Important Temple At Lumbini is the Maya Devi Temple, Which Enshrines the Traditional Site of the Buddha's Birth. The Modern Temple Consists Mainly of Simple White Building that Protects Ancient Ruins, with the Exact Spot of the Buddha's Birth. On the South Side of the Temple is a Sacred Pool, Where It is Said Maya Devi Bathed Before Giving Birth, and Where the New Born Buddha Was Washed By Two Dragons. The Maya Devi Temple is Surrounded By the Brick Foundations of Ancient Temples and Monasteries. All Around Lumbini, Long Lines of Colorfulprayer Flags are Strung Between Trees Which are Believed to Carry Prayers and Mantras Heavenward as They Flap On the Breeze. The other Main Sight of Interest At Lumbini is Ashoka's Pillar, Near the Temple.

Day 4 : Drive to Chitwan (4 Hrs)

Drive to Chitwan from Lumbini is Apprx. 150 Kms.east of Lumbini and the Journey Takes 4 Hours. The Highlight of Chitwan is the World Heritage Listed, Royal Chitwan National Park Which is the Lush Valley Situated in the Foothills of Churia Ranges. This National Park is Famous for Its Variety of Wildlife, and with the Snowcapped Himalaya in the Distance. Tharu Dance: a Melodious Tribal Dance Where a Great Circle of Men and Women with Rhyme or Drums Whack Their Sticks Together in Time.

Day 5 : Chitwan

Elephant ride, Bird watching, Jungle walk and Dug out canoe ride.

Day 6 : Drive to Kathmandu

Scenic drive.

Day 7 : Drive to Darjeeling (India) (2134m/7000ft) 200 kms/6 hrs

Our drive passes through deep forests criss-crossed at many points by the Tista and other rivers. Then pass along the vast plains with tea plantations. Enjoy being among the vast tea fields. From the plains, we climb to the hilly Darjeeling region via Ghoom and along the famous narrogaze steam engine railway.

Day 8 : Darjeeling Sightseeing

Today Early Morning Transfer to Tiger Hill to See the View of Sun Rise Over Mt Kanchendzonga. While Returning Visit Yiga-choling (ghoom). After Breakfast Transfer for Sightseeing Around Darjeeling to Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee Self-help Center, Tea Garden and Tea Factory, Peace Pegoda.

Day 9 : Drive from Darjeeling to Gangtok (1700m/5600ft) 115 Km/4 Hr

Today after breakfast take a 4-5 hrs drive (105 km) from Darjeeling to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. First we make a steep descent through the tea plantations and forests. Complete the formalities at the Tista Bridge, the entry point of Sikkim, before climbing toward Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim.

Day 10 : Sightseeing Gangtok Area & Martam (1450m/4428 ft)

Today early morning visit Tashi View point about 8 km from Gangtok for astounding view of Khangchendzonga and the Siniolchu Range. The distant north Sikkim monasteries are also visible from this point along the North Sikkim highway. Then back to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast you will be visiting Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Enchey Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology, Rumtek Monastery.

Day 11 : Drive from Martam to Kalimpong (1247m/4100 ft) 4 hrs

Drive to Kalimpong. Kalimpong is a small town established for the Trade with Bhutan and Tibet by India. Make a sightseeing tour of the some landmarks and markets.

Day 12 : Kalimpong Sightseeing

Today visit the Shri Diwakar Vahara Institute in Kalimpong and other sightseeing places like Dello View point and Hat Bazar. In the evening free at leisure.

Day 13 : Kalimpong to Bagdora to Delhi or Calcutta

Your Tour Ends Here and You Will Be Transferred to Bagdogra Airport (flights Connects to Delhi and Kolkata) for Your Flight for Onward Tour.
