- Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) after Stage 3: "Thanks to all my teammates for their work today, they put in a very strong effort to bring back the break and shut the attacks. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to catch Soler when he went off in the last climb, so the stage win got away today. I'm feeling better and I see my form improving, even under such awful conditions as the ones we had today."

- Wilco Kelderman (Bora-Hansgrohe) following Stage 3: "To say it was a horrible day would be an understatement but it is on stages as hard as this that the team's work stands out. Ben, Jordi and Burgi did a great job in controlling the race and catching the break while at the same time I was kept safe under these treacherous conditions and slippery roads. I finished with the select reduced group and will now focus on tomorrow's queen stage."

- Marc Soler (Movistar Team) won Stage 3 and is new overall leader.

- Rolf Aldag (Bahrain Victorious) after Stage 2, won by his rider Sonny Colbrelli: "After yesterday Sonny had the legs to win but was really close, so to build on that was the goal for today. It was really great to see the combination of a fast guy like Sonny and the GC guys (Jack and Damiano). We strategically put Pernsteiner in the breakaway, so we didn’t have to work. The mental strength of Pernsteiner was incredible to come back and work in the final. It was great to see. It shows the team spirit and how everyone is willing to work for each other to succeed. Today we got the reward, and I’m happy for Sonny, who worked so hard, and I’m proud of what the guys have done."

- Sonny Colbrelli (Bahrain Victorious) won Stage 2. Rohan Dennis retained the overall race lead.

- Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) following his Stage 1 victory: "I'm really happy to win again in the Tour de Romandie. In 2010 I had taken the first road stage and here I am eleven years later with another victory. I have to thank my teammates for their great job today, in the last two laps they were pulling in the front and after the last climb, they held the bunch together. It feels nice after three weeks without any racing to come here and win, probably the only stage suited to me because the following ones will be very hard. Thanks as well to the whole team and its sponsors for their continuous support."

- Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe) won Stage 1. Rohan Dennis remains leader on G.C.

- Peter Sagan after the prologue: "Good opening time-trial in the Tour de Romandie that brought back nice memories from my first year as a professional rider. I gave my best to finish in a good position even if this short course wasn't particularly suited to me. I felt quite well, my condition is improving and I'll chase all opportunities in the next stages."

- André Schulze, Bora-Hansgrohe Sports Director: "It was quite a solid performance today. Wilco has put himself into a good position for the upcoming stages, and we're satisfied with the result of the Prologue. Tomorrow we're looking to the sprint, which we hope will be a stage for Peter."

- Wilco Kelderman (Bora-Hansgrohe) following the prologue ITT: "The parcours was very short today, but it was important to measure my effort to come in with a good time and avoid losing anything against the main GC contenders. I'm pleased with my result and am looking forward to the rest of the race this week."

- Rohan Dennis (INEOS Grenadiers) won the prologue individual time trial and is first leader in the general classification.

- Prologue ITT Start Order and Times here .

- Deceuninck-Quickstep lineup for the 2021 Tour de Romandie:

Mattia Cattaneo Rémi Cavagna Josef Cerny Dries Devenyns Ian Garrison Iljo Keisse Fausto Masnada

- Deceuninck-Quick-Step sports director Geert Van Bondt: "The Tour de Romandie is one of the hardest week-long stage races out there, with a lot of climbing and usually bad weather that can play an important role in the outcome, but we want to be prominent and get some strong results next week. We have three national time trial champions on the squad and they have what it takes to be up there in the two stages against the clock, although it should be noted that both time trials are very demanding and contain plenty of hurdles. Fausto is back from altitude training and we are curious to see what he can do in the general classification, while Dries, Mattia and Iljo bring in a lot of experience and will be there to support our ambitions."

- Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) following his victory on Stage 1: "I didn’t expect to win here.  After Tirreno-Adriatico, I went on an altitude camp in preparation for my main goal, the Giro. I recently came back from it. Then you have to wait and see how things will go. It was a tough day with a lot of climbing. It’s a nice feeling that I was able to win, especially in a sprint. It surprised me, because normally there is always someone who is faster. Winning in Romandie always is a special feeling. I love to race here. In Steven, we have a pawn who can go for the GC. He rode very well today, just like the rest of the team. We will continue to keep doing our best."

- Steffen Radochla, Bora-Hansgrohe Sports Director following the prologue: "It was a very technical time trial, with some tricky corners. Maciej put in a good effort, and also our two GC-contenders Felix and Emanuel rode a solid race, avoiding to lose any important time for the overall ranking. I think, it was a good start for us here at the Tour of Romandie with these results. It is a well-casted stage race, therefore we focus on tomorrow’s first demanding road stage."

- UAE Team Emirates roster for the 2019 Tour de Romandie:

– Tom Bohli (Swi) – Simone Consonni (Ita) – Rui Costa (Por) – Manuele Mori (Ita) – Simone Petilli (Ita) – Edward Ravasi (Ita) – Aleksandr Riabushenko (Blr) Directeurs sportifs: Simone Pedrazzini (Swi) and Bruno Vicino (Ita)

- Rui Costa (UAE Team Emirates) before the start of the 2019 Tour de Romandie: "The Tour de Romandie is a race that I always liked, also for its spot on the calendar at the end of the Ardennes Classics.  I climbed on the lowest step of the podium three times, taking advantage of my good form after racing in Belgium and the Netherlands. I hope to take a similar approach again this year, coming out of the Ardennes Classics and Liège-Bastogne-Liège in good shape, despite having suffered the cold weather on Sunday in the Doyenne. Looking at the overall, you have to consider this year the two time trials, suited to specialist. They will impact the results."

- Louis Meintjes (Team Dimension Data) before the start of the 2019 Tour de Romandie: "It is good to finally be lining up for a race again. It's been a slightly frustrating wait, recovering, from the crash at Paris-Nice but I am glad that is behind me now. Romandie will pretty much be like starting my season over again, which can be a good thing because even without knowing what kind of shape I do or don't have currently, we can still only build from here."

- Deceuninck-Quickstep lineup for the 2019 Tour de Romandie:

Eros Capecchi (ITA) Remco Evenepoel (BEL) James Knox (GBR) Davide Martinelli (ITA) Fabio Sabatini (ITA) Florian Sénéchal (FRA) Elia Viviani (ITA) Sports Directors Davide Bramati (ITA) Rik van Slycke (BEL)

- Deceuninck-Quickstep sports director Davide Bramati: "Next week’s race will be a hard one, bookended by time trials and with many hard climbs which will shape the general classification. On paper, one, maybe two stages, will end up in a bunch sprint, and if this will happen, then Elia – who can rely on a strong train – will be our man.  We also have two youngsters on the squad, Remco and James, who have impressed this season, finishing in the top 10 overall at World Tour events. We’re looking forward to having both back in action, without putting any pressure on them, just taking it day by day and see how it goes."

- CCC Team roster for the 2019 Tour de Romandie:

Will Barta (USA) Patrick Bevin (NZ) Jakub Mareczko (ITA) Łukasz Owsian (POL) Joseph Rosskopf (USA) Francisco Ventoso (ITA) Riccardo Zoidl (AUT) Sports Directors: Fabio Baldato (ITA), Gabriele Missaglia (ITA)

- More pre-race comments from Fabio Baldato: "We want to give the opportunity to everyone on the team to go out there and try to get a personal result. Some of the riders usually ride to support their leaders and in this race, they will have a chance to showcase themselves. Łukasz Owsian and Will Barta will look for their chances in the breakaways and hopefully one of them will go all the way. Even though the top ten of the General Classification may be hard to achieve, we are still very motivated to do well. We will take every stage day-by-day and see where that approach will take us. We are hoping that Bevin will have a successful performance in the prologue and then we will take it from there. A good start to a race always raises morale and the team spirit for the next stages."

- CCC Team Sports Director Fabio Baldato: "Our main objective for the Tour de Romandie is the prologue and the final time trial. With Patrick Bevin and Joey Rosskopf in the roster, we believe that we can fight for a top-five result or even a podium on those two stages. We are coming to Switzerland with no pure climber, and since there is a tough mountain top finish stage on day four, we don’t have big expectations in terms of the General Classification. However, we want to race aggressively and battle for stage wins. Riccardo Zoidl can do well in the mountainous terrain and Jakub Mareczko, who is also in good condition, should be up there with the best sprinters on stages two and three if it comes down to a bunch finish."

- 2019 Tour de Romandie stage schedule/times:

- Pascal Ackermann (Bora-Hansgrohe) following his win on Stage 5: "The guys worked hard to support me the whole day, and in the end Rudi Selig brought me into the perfect position in the last 200m. I am very thankful for all the hard work of my teammates. It was a real goal of ours to win today and we achieved this. The race has not been easy and it was difficult for me to stay within the time limit on the penultimate stage. So it is nice to see that our hard work paid off."

- News: Fuglsang wins Tour de Romandie queen stage .  (Cyclingnews) - Roglic keeps overall lead with one stage remaining.

- Steffen Radochla, Bora-Hansgrohe Sport Director following Stage 4: "The plan was to attack before the last climb. After the attack that Pawel Poljanski and Emanuel Buchmann put in on the slopes of the penultimate climb, Emanuel was able to successfully bridge to the leading group. At the base of the last climb, the escapees had about a one minute advantage. The first part of the climb was not too steep and didn’t lead to any significant difficulties. However, then Team Sky took over the bulk of the pace making in the main field and the advantage of the leaders dropped to 30 seconds. I think that Emanuel put in an excellent performance today."

- Richie Porte (BMC Racing) following the Stage 3 mountain time trial: "I felt good until about 2km to go and then I exploded but I was happy to finish it off like I did. It was a good ride and I think all of us are extra motivated by the passing of Andy Rihs last week so, it's nice to come to his backyard and have a good ride.  Overall, I'm happy. It was a strong ride but normally I don't think I would have blown up as badly as I did in the final couple of kilometers. However, the team has been great behind me especially my coach, David Bailey, so we're motivated to try and finish this race off well."

- Steffen Radochla (Bora-Hansgrohe directeur sportif): "Today the peloton gave the escapees too much of an advantage, and so the break wasn’t able to be brought back. With 50km remaining, the peloton had to crest a difficult climb, and it was at this point that Bahrain-Merida increased the tempo in order to shed the other sprinters. Pascal Ackermann wasn’t able to keep up with the tempo and was therefore unable to be in the mix in Yverdon-les-Bains today."

I didn't know how well I would feel after the weekend but I gave my best and I'm really pleased that I could finish it off with the win. - Gino van Oudenhove (Dimension Data directeur sportif): "Tour de Romandie is the next of a hard and high level WT race for us. Nevertheless, this is a great opportunity for some of our riders to step up and take their chances. With a prologue, a climb time trial and a lot of climbing, it fits riders like Steve and Amanuel very well. Also Merhawi showed good riding in the Alps. The amazing riding of Ben in the Alps should give us some good vibes and to the riders to discover the opportunities to show some good results."

I’ve raced only once before in Switzerland, in my debut season with the pros, but this will be my first time in the Tour de Romandie and I’m excited and eager to join again my teammates and ease back into racing as I start my second half of the season, which I hope to be an injury-free and successful one."

The finale of the 2nd stage looks promising for the punchy sprinters in the peloton. Two short climbs inside the last 13 kilometres make way for a flat finale.

It’s back to the chrono specialist on the fourth day of action. Stage 3 is a 19 kilometres ITT featuring a 6 kilometres climb at roughly 5%.

The Queen Stage is played out on a 161.3 kilometres route with an elevation gain of 4,157 metres. The finish climb adds up to 20.7 kilometres and the average gradient sits at 7.7%.

The last stage of the Tour de Romandie is a lumpy endeavour from Vufflens-la-Ville to Geneva. A bunch sprint or a successful are to be expected.

Tirreno-Adriatico 2024 live streams: How to watch the classic Italian stage race

Jonas Vingegaard and Tom Pidcock in action

Jonas Vingegaard (R) climbs to take the lead on the Tirreno-Adriatico

  • FREE live streams
  • Watch from anywhere

The 59th Tirreno-Adriatico starts Monday March 4th crossing the Apennine mountains to link the seas either side of Italy’s boot. Covering 945km with a time trial and two summit finishes, it will test the stage race credentials of all taking part not least those gearing up for bigger challenges such as the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia later in the year.

Read on and we'll show you how to watch Tirreno-Adriatico 2024 live streams from anywhere with a VPN , and potentially for FREE .

The Tirreno-Adriatico 2024 live streams take place between Monday March 4 and Sunday March 10. ►  Start time: Start times vary each day • FREE STREAMS — Sporza (Belgium) / Rai (Italy) •   U.S. — FloBikes •   U.K. — Discovery+ • Watch anywhere — Try ExpressVPN 100% risk free

Travelling west to east, linking the Tirreno and Adriatico across the spine of Italy, this seven-day stage race runs concurrently with Paris-Nice and although some detractors say this spreads the peloton too thin, on the other hand it allows the big stars the chance to avoid each other as they build their form.

Starting in the resort of Lido de Camaiore, this year’s race kicks off with the traditional short time trial along the pan flat seafront where the locals will be hoping Filippo Ganna (INEOS Grenadiers) can grab the first leader’s jersey. Leaving Camaiore the race begins its passage eastwards with a flat sprint stage followed by a brace of lumpy stages before entering higher territory in the Appennines. Stages five and six both feature summit finishes with the later up Monte Petrano, a 10.1km, 8.1% climb destined to decide the winner, if it’s not already in the bag by then.

The overwhelming favourite to take victory is the two time Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard (Team Visma | Lease a Bike). After his total domination of O Gran Camiño where he comfortably won all three stages it will take some effort to beat him but lining up for the challenge will be Adam Yates and Juan Ayuso (UAE Team Emirates), Ben O’Connor (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale), Ben Healy (EF Education - EasyPost), Tao Geoghegan Hart (Lidl - Trek) and testing his stage race capabilities, Thomas Pidcock (INEOS Grenadiers).

With one small burst of rain slowing the course for some riders it was a bit of a lottery when they started the stage one time trial. Buying a winning ticket though was race favourite Jonas Vingegaard who got out before the heavens opened to post an excellent early time.

Thankfully the rain that did fall soon dried so the other favourites weren’t too hindered and next to set the course alight was Spain's Juan Ayuso who shocked everyone by taking 22 seconds out of Vingegaard and at the same time winning the stage beating the great Filippo Ganna by a single second.

Tomorrow is a stage for the sprinters so the GC riders can let their legs recover safe in the peloton, coverage starts at 13.50 p.m. (GMT). Read on to see how you can catch the action wherever you live.

Tirreno-Adriatico 2024 live streams around the world

It's only natural that you might want to watch a 2024 Tirreno-Adriatico live stream from your home country, but what if you're not there when the race is on?

Look no further than a VPN, or virtual private network. A VPN makes it look as if you're surfing the web from your home country, rather than the one you're in. That means you can access the streaming services you already pay for, from anywhere on Earth. Or anywhere that has an internet connection, at least.

They're totally legal, inexpensive and easy to use. We've tested lots of the best VPN services and our favorite right now is ExpressVPN . It's fast, works on loads of devices and even offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Safety, speed and simplicity combine to make ExpressVPN our favorite VPN service. It's also compatible with loads of devices and there's a 30-day money-back guarantee if you want to try it out.

Using a VPN is incredibly simple.

1. Install the VPN of your choice . As we've said, ExpressVPN is our favorite.

2. Choose the location you wish to connect to in the VPN app. For instance if you're in the U.S. and want to view an Italian service, you'd select Italy from the list.

3. Sit back and enjoy the action. Head to Rai or another streaming service and watch the action.

Michael Woods  claimed victory on a dramatic queen stage 4 of the Tour de Romandie, as  Geraint Thomas  (Ineos Grenadiers)  crashed in the final 50 metres  of the final climb to squander the overall lead.

The Ineos rider lost control of his bike as the pair sprinted for the line at Thyon 2000, his hand slipping from his handlebar as he rose from the saddle.

The race concludes on Sunday with an individual time trial.

Cyclingnews will be bringing you full reports, results, news, interviews, and analysis throughout the race. Read on to find out how to watch Tour de Romandie via live stream, no matter your location, with ExpressVPN .

Tour de Romandie 2021 - race home Tour de Romandie – Preview Hirschi aiming for stage wins at Tour de Romandie

The Tour de Romandie returns after a one-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, offering up a prologue, a final time trial, a big mountain top finish and three lumpy stages that will give roulers and sprinters their chance.

In its usual pre-Giro d'Italia slot, the Tour de Romandie has attracted a top-class field this season, with former Tour de France winner Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) wearing bib number one in the absence of defending champion Primoz Roglic, and other contenders such as Steven Kruijswijk (Jumbo-Visma), former Tour de Romandie winner Richie Porte (Ineos Grenadiers) and Chris Froome (Israel Start-Up Nation) on the start line.

The time trials will favour the likes of Rohan Dennis and Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers), Stefan Küng (Groupama-FDJ) and Stefan Bissegger (EF Education-Nippo), while sprint days will bring Peter Sagan (Bora-Hansgrohe), Elia Viviani (Cofidis), Jake Stewart (Groupama-FDJ) and Sonny Colbrelli (Bahrain Victorious) to the fore.

Miguel Angel Lopez makes his debut with his new Movistar Team, while Ion Izagirre (Astana Premier-Tech), Kenny Elissonde (Trek-Segafredo) and Fausto Masnada (Deceuninck-Quickstep) are other riders to watch on the climbs.

Follow Cyclingnews on Twitter , Facebook and Instagram for alerts on important stories and action during the race.

Tour de Romandie will be broadcast around Europe on Eurosport. A subscription to Eurosport Player costs £6.99 for a single month, £4.99 for a year-long monthly pass, or £39.99 for a 12-month pass.

The race will be aired in the United Kingdom, Europe, the USA, Canada, and Australia on GCN+ and in select other territories . A year’s subscription to GCN+ now costs £39.99 / €39.99 / $49.99 after the end of a promotional price in February.

Host broadcaster RSI La2 , RTS and SRF Zwei will air the race in Switzerland and L'Equipe TV will air the race in France.

If you live outside a broadcast zone or are on holiday outside your country and find the live streams to be geo-restricted, you can get around this by getting access to them by simulating being back in your home country via a 'virtual private network', or VPN, for your laptop, tablet or mobile.

Our sister site TechRadar tested hundreds of VPNs and recommends the number-one VPN currently available as Express VPN. With  ExpressVPN , you can watch on many devices at once including Smart TVs, Fire TV Stick, PC, Mac, iPhone, Android phone, iPads, tablets, etc.

Tour de Romandie History and Format

The Tour de Romandie had its 75th edition on 2022. The first time this stage race was ran was 1947. The winner was a Belgian racer named Desire Keteleer. Over the years, Stephen Roche has been one of the most successful athletes. He has won the event three times, which is more than any other cycler. The event is a stage race where each event is ran on the road. It is also part of the UCI World Tour. Many athletes run this race to help them for the bigger ones that come later. For example, one of the biggest races of the year, Giro d’Italia normally starts a week later. Over the years, the cyclers from Italy, Switzerland, and France have had the most successes. The Match 2024 golf live stream: How to watch Rory McIlroy, Lexi Thompson, Max Homa and Rose Zhang on TV

For the first time ever, the match will feature both men and women competing against one another.

max-homa-rory-mcilroy-2023-open-g.jpg

PGA Tour and LPGA superstars will be featured in the ninth edition of The Match as Rory McIlroy and Max Homa tee it up alongside Lexi Thompson and Rose Zhang in the mixed-skins format. The charity golf exhibition welcomes the four golfers to The Park Golf Course in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday evening.

Unlike the first eight editions of The Match, this iteration will be the first to feature women and the first to be held at The Park Golf Course; the Wynn in Las Vegas was the unofficial home of exhibition golf. Thompson and Zhang hope to impress in front of McIlroy and Homa, both of whom have experience in these type of events.

McIlroy was featured in The Match 7 with teammate Tiger Wood, but the two ultimately fell to Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth in December 2022. Homa experienced a similar fate when he played in the Netflix Cup this past fall with Formula One driver Alex Albon when Thomas once again came away victorious.

Unlike previous versions of The Match, this one will not feature teams. Instead, the four golfers will compete by themselves across 12 holes of skins hoping to collect the most money for charity along the way.

The Match 9

Viewing information.

Date:  Monday, Feb. 26 |  Time  6:30 p.m. ET  Location:  The Park Golf Course — West Palm Beach, Florida Broadcast:  TNT |  Simulcast : TBS, truTV, HLN |  Live stream : Bleacher Report app

The Match will be contested under 12 holes of mixed skins format for the first time ever. Each hole will be worth a specified amount towards charity, with the golfer who raises the most amount by the end of the competition being declared the winner. Players will tee off from the same tee boxes on the four par 3s and use varying tee boxes for the men and women on the remaining holes.

Participants

Rory McIlroy: It has been a bit of an odd season so far for McIlroy, who claimed his fourth Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour in January. Since then, he has struggled with consistency on the PGA Tour, often flashing his brilliance but undoing his efforts with short stretches of poor play. If those types of runs materialize at The Match, they could hinder his chances of winning given the short 12-hole format.

Max Homa:  Homa's season has been defined by some good golf but not enough great golf through two months. He has notched three top-20 finishes with his best effort coming in the form of a T13 at the Farmers Insurance Open. Failing to contend in any of the California events or his hometown event, the WM Phoenix Open, Homa heads to the Florida Swing without a ton of momentum. Perhaps this exhibition can get the gears turning as he often thrives in front of an audience.

Lexi Thompson: Thompson has been solid since the Solheim Cup and made her presence known on the PGA Tour at the Shriners Children's Open. Nearly making the cut at the men's event, the American finished her 2023 LPGA season with three straight top-10 finishes. She notched a T6 at the Grant Thornton Invitational alongside Rickie Fowler in December and finished T16 in her lone start of 2024 in large part due to a poor final round.

Rose Zhang: The youngin' of the bunch, Zhang's game and personality will have a chance to shine on the big stage. The 20-year-old teamed up with Sahith Theegala at the Grant Thornton Invitational en route to a T9 result to end a memorable 2023 that included her second straight NCAA championship individual crown, a win at the Augusta National Women's Amateur and a triumph in her first start as a professional on the LPGA.

Picks, odds

Odds via Sportsline consensus

  • Rory McIlroy: +185
  • Max Homa: +240
  • Lexi Thompson: +370
  • Rose Zhang: +380

Underdogs have been the way to go in these style of tournaments given the made-for-TV product, so let's rock with Thompson. The putter could pose a problem, but she has ample length off the tee and will be playing from shorter yardages on the par 4s and par 5s than McIlroy and Homa, which should give her a considerable edge.
