A not too expensive seat swivel base
This would allow a few things: to leave the ducting for the rear floor, allow clearance when spinning, and not have the seat belt interference Andrew experienced. I replaced all of the hardware that came with the swivel base with grade 8 bolts 5/16-18 (four 1.5" long for the swivel to the factory base, and two 1" for the remaining swivel to seat).
How to build a swivel seat base
Step 1: Layout and cut holes in plates. Step 2: Install hub assembly between plates. Step 3: Section OEM seat base and remove material to the height of the swivel plate assembly. Step 4: Weld plates in-between the 2 seat base halves. Step 5: Clean welds and paint!

Unfortunately for the Astro/Safari version, although the bolt-spacing is correct, it doesn't really take into account that the seat rails and seat bottom are curved. In order to accommodate this arch, I had to add some spacers to the bolts:
