Guide to Jurassic Park at Universal Islands of Adventure

JP_GuideHeader

Seeing a dinosaur on screen for the first time is a moment most of us will never forget.

Having a dinosaur in real life interrupt your photo op by attempting to bite your head is also a moment that most of us will never, ever forget AND is just one of the many unique experiences in Jurassic Park at Universal Orlando Resort.

Years after the Jurassic Park 1993 film release, Universal Orlando Resort developed a dedicated land to these films in Islands of Adventure . It has everything — a river boat ride, the iconic Jeep, and, yes, dinosaur encounters!

If stepping into the world of Jurassic Park in person is high on your must-do list, then consider this your travel guide for your upcoming visit.

WHERE TO STAY

JP_KidsSuitesRoyalPacific

Let’s be clear, any Universal Orlando Resort hotel option is going to be a phenomenal stay with plenty of theme-park perks. But If you want the ULTIMATE Jurassic vacation, you gotta go with Loews Royal Pacific Resort and their Jurassic World Kids’ Suites. The second you open the paddock door, you have entered the world where Velociraptors, Pteranodons, and even the Indominus Rex roam.

JP_Fossil

The moment you enter the iconic gates into the land you are surrounded by the jungle, immediately hear the iconic theme-song, and if you look down at the sidewalk you’ll notice our Universal Creative team left no stone unturned and no fossil imprint left un-included. Make your way through the land to take in all the sights and experiences from the films!

Join the hunt on Jurassic World VelociCoaster.

VelociCoaster

This thrilling new species of roller coaster will take you on a dash through the raptor paddock. The ride has no brakes until it’s over and is the fastest roller coaster at any Universal park. Add in a few raptors and the ride is a nonstop adventure!

Get lost in the jungle.

Jurassic Photo Op

There is a lot to explore and a lot of tropical plants and foliage to set the tone for your adventure. Throughout the land you’ll stumble upon Jeeps for the perfect photo ops, shops, dining, and rides.

Ride Jurassic Park River Adventure.

River Adventure

This attraction offers a scenic water boat tour where you can see a baby Stegosaurus and other ominous creatures in their natural habitats. It’s all peaceful enough until you encounter an unexpected guest and plummet 85 feet! Three things are pretty much guaranteed at this point: you will scream, you will get soaked, and you will have a blast on this combination of thrill and water ride.

Explore Camp Jurassic.

JP_Camp Jurassic

To really feel one with prehistoric nature, you’ll want to stop by Camp Jurassic. You and your kids can put your adventurous side to the test with a climb through the dinosaur capture nets and suspension bridges, or go subterranean as you explore the mysterious amber mines and lava pits. And if Jurassic Park River Adventure didn’t get you soaked enough already, the water cannons in the containment paddock will certainly finish the job!

Hop on a Pteranodon Flyer.

JP_Flyers

With kids in the family, this is a must-do ride . Located across from Jurassic Park River Adventure in Camp Jurassic, it allows two people (one has to be a child) at a time to fly above the land beneath the 10-ft wings of a Pteranodon! There is no better way to take in the sights of Jurassic Park and beyond.

Encounter a Raptor.

JP Raptor Encounter

What is Universal Orlando Resort if not an immersive playground for guests to experience first-hand the thrills of the worlds they love? Stop by Raptor Encounter and meet Blue from Jurassic World or our new baby Raptor, Sierra.

Slowly approach the dinosaurs for a quick photo moment (one of the best photo ops in the parks!).

Pro-tip : Try to be calm because she will sense your fear and she will feed off it.

Peruse the Discovery Center.

JP Discovery Center

(Currently closed, please check with Guest Services for operational updates.)

The name doesn’t lie: there’s plenty to discover at this interactive center ! Have you ever wondered what kind of dinosaur you would have been? Here you can put your DNA to the test and find out! And if you have a competitive streak, you’ll want to challenge your friends to a match of the hilarious trivia game You Bet Jurassic! If you’re really lucky, you may even get to witness a baby Velociraptor hatch.

Climb rocks; play games.

JP_RockClimbing

Looking for a bit of a challenge? Test your skills on the rock wall located near the end of Jurassic Park River Adventure. Make it to the top and you’ll find an incredible view of people splashing down to escape the T.Rex. Or feeling a little competitive? Be sure to check out all the Jurassic-Park-themed games!

WHERE TO EAT

JP Thunder Falls

Feeling ravenous as you explore? There are a few great dining spots that offer a variety of food options.

The Burger Digs

JP Burger Digs

If burgers meet your fancy, head over to The Burger Digs, located in the top floor of the Discovery Center. It is known for burgers and soft serve milkshakes and we have the photo evidence to prove how good they are. (There are also dietary accommodations including a vegan cheeseburger platter.) The whole place is decked out in skeletal remains, so you’ll feel like a paleontologist on your lunch break at a research facility.

Pizza Predattoria

JP Pizza

(Currently with limited availability, please check with Guest Services for operational updates.)

Who loves pizza?! [Raises hand emoji.] Everyone’s favorite and available near the strip of midway-style games is Pizza Predattoria. At this walkup hut , you can choose from a few pizza options, meatball sub, and chicken Caesar salad. Quick and easy if you’re on the go.

The Watering Hole

JP Watering Hole

A little known secret that far too many people walk right past is The Watering Hole! You can find this spot located near the arch entrance to purchase some tasty beverages and incredible snacks — nachos, hotdogs, and churros. My favorite is the pulled-pork nachos, but you really can’t go wrong!

Thunder Falls Terrace

jurassic world tour florida

If you’re looking for something a little different than the burgers and pizza options above, then check out Thunder Falls Terrace. This restaurant offers an array of rotisserie chicken, BBQ ribs, smoked turkey legs, soups, salads, and more.

Thunder Falls Ribs

It is also another spot to cool off from the hot weather, hide from any roaming dinosaurs, and just enjoy the company of your group.

Natural Selections

Jurassic Park Churro

Take everything you think you know about theme park food-carts, throw it out the Jeep window, and try this dulce de leche churro. Natural Selections, right across from Jurassic Park River Adventure, is one of the best spots to fuel up in Jurassic Park.

It really is a shame that Pteranadon Encounter REQUIRES a child, blocking all those child-less families from experiencing this really amazing attraction. I got the opportunity ONCE to ride it when I worked at IOA during an employees night and it was such fun. Doubt I will ever get the opportunity again since I don’t have children 🙁

' src=

Exactly! Pteranodon Flyer is the only rides that i never been in the whole Universal Orlando Resorts. Its really very very very sad.

' src=

Worse yet, my family and I finally came with our 10 year old son (after being there several times over the years before we had a child) and he was already too tall to go on it. Crazy. All three of us were disappointed. 🙁

' src=

I was also disappointed at not being able to have a go on this ride.

' src=

I also think this ride is wonderful. However, I am glad that you must have a child to ride. I dont like when my grandkids and I are waiting in line behind grown people in order to ride a child’s ride. I mean the children are excited and impatient as it is, without having adults always taking over.

' src=

I agree. My child was “too old” so we couldn’t ride it. I really wish they adjust that rule as long as it remains safe.

Jurassic World: The Exhibition roars to life stateside with announcement of North American tour

jurassic world tour florida

After five years of wowing audiences in cities around the world, an exhibition based on one of the most popular film franchises of all time is going on tour. Round Room Live and Cityneon, in collaboration with Universal Parks and Resorts, announced Tuesday that this June will mark the launch of  Jurassic World : The Exhibition 's first North American tour with a rollout of the immersive experience in Dallas.

The massive, 20,000-square-foot exhibition inspired by the beloved  Jurassic  franchise first launched in Melbourne, Australia in 2016, and has since drawn more than three million visitors worldwide through stops in cities like Paris, Madrid, Philadelphia, Seoul, and more. Now, beginning with an opening in Dallas' Grandscape in the Colony this summer, John Hammond's dream will be heading to a city near you.

So, what can you expect at  Jurassic World: The Exhibition ? Well, hopefully all of the fun and none of the danger of the real thing. Visitors to the immersive experience will find all-ages fun in the form of "live" dinosaur encounters ranging from the fearsome Tyrannosaurus rex to baby dinosaurs like "Bumpy" from the hit Netflix series  Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous . You can tour the dino hatching lab, see a life-sized gyrosphere, and even get up close and personal with the raptor paddock while you say "Hold on to your butts" to your friends over and over, all without the sensation that it's all going to horribly wrong at any moment. It's all of the fun of the  Jurassic World  movies and none of the terror.

“We are delighted to launch in Dallas, and to bring this Exhibition to cities across the U.S. and Canada," said Stephen Shaw, Founder and Co-President of Round Room Live, in a statement. “Families will be amazed and beyond entertained by this incredible experience."

To see more of what the exhibit has in store, check out the photos in the gallery below.

Jurassic World: The Exhibition

The exhibition tour comes at an exciting time for  Jurassic World  fans. Just days before the Dallas opening, Universal's Orlando park will debut the  Jurassic World VelociCoaster , the "fastest and tallest launch coaster" in theme park-heavy Florida, for an experience that might be almost as thrilling as an actual raptor chase. Then, just one year later, we'll get the theatrical debut of  Jurassic World: Dominion , returning us all to the blockbuster franchise and the continuing adventures of modern-day dinosaurs.

Jurassic World: The Exhibition  opens in Dallas on June 18. For more information, including ticket pricing and upcoming news about future cities on the tour, head over to the exhibition's official website .

  • Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure

Skip to: Overview | Location | Restrictions | Story | Queue | Ride experience | Fear factor | Lockers | Fun fact | Guest reviews

What is Jurassic World VelociCoaster?

Race alongside a pack of velociraptors on Jurassic World VelociCoaster, which is Florida’s fastest and tallest launch roller coaster. The experience is the most thrilling one yet at any of Universal’s five theme parks worldwide.

Where is Jurassic World VelociCoaster located?

In Jurassic Park , which is in Islands of Adventure .

Jurassic World VelociCoaster – height restrictions and other factors

Height requirement is 51 inches; has  Express Pass  access and a single-rider line that is open intermittently.

What’s the story of Jurassic World VelociCoaster?

The management team of the Jurassic World theme park wants to up the game of its “carnivore expansion” by allowing its guests to “embark on a high-speed chase and feel the rush of the hunt” amidst a pack of its titular prehistoric predators. Along the way, the core Jurassic World cast makes appearances: Owen Grady (Chris Pratt), Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), Dr. Henry Wu (BD Wong), and, of course, the raptor pack of Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo.

What is the Jurassic World VelociCoaster queue like?

Jurassic World VelociCoaster’s queue sets the stage for the thrills that are in store on the ride itself. If you’re invested in the story of the attraction, you’ll want to start paying attention as soon as you step under the ride’s torch-adorned marquee and the Jurassic World theme music hits your ears.

It’s worth mentioning that the entirety of VelociCoaster’s queue is indoors – a welcome reprieve from the Florida heat, and a perfect match for the futuristic atmosphere. As you first step inside, you’re met with thin, neon lights across the walls and ceilings that pulse between shades of red, blue, and purple. Mounted televisions display the attraction’s logo, and audio overhead welcomes you to the raptor paddock. The modern, near-monotone space is centered around a striking, elevated centerpiece: four steel velociraptors surrounding a model of the coaster’s signature top hat.

The launch view

As you pass the iconic statues and curve around a lit corner, you’re faced with VelociCoaster’s second launch. First, you’ll catch a real-life coaster train take off – then, the windows transform with a special effect to make it appear as though a raptor pack is chasing after it.

Raptor training room

Is this room full of dino-mite details? You bet Jurassic is. What will first capture your attention is the video of Dr. Wu playing on the television. The scientist behind the dinosaur creations is here to brief you on the raptor paddock’s history and provide safety information regarding the ride. What will keep you captivated are the metal cages along the walls, full of books, artifacts, and more from the Jurassic universe; here, you’ll find familiar names and faces, such as Ian Malcolm and Dr. Alan Grant.

It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for – coming face-to-face with the impressive, animatronic velociraptors. With eyes darting and nostrils flaring behind the metal restraints, you’re close enough to count the scales on their intimidatingly realistic faces as you pass by.

The locker bay

If you thought Mr. DNA’s technology was impressive, just wait until you see VelociCoaster’s dual-sided lockers . Because those dropping off and picking up their belongings are now separated into two rooms, it’s easy to breeze through this area. The space might seem simplistic at first glance, but you’ll quickly notice Jurassic World posters lining the walls, advertising everything from Jurassic Park River Adventure to Camp Cretaceous (a possible reference to Universal Studios Beijing ).

The screening room

“But where’s Chris Pratt?” you ask. Don’t worry – both he and Bryce Dallas Howard are waiting for you in a spacious chamber up two sets of stairs from the locker bay. The stars, of course, reprise their roles as the two most iconic characters from the Jurassic World series, Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, as a video of them plays on a giant screen at the front and center of the room. Claire can be found calmly informing us about our upcoming raptor experience, while Owen expresses his hesitancy to combine a roller coaster with live dinosaurs. This is where the sense of danger – and excitement – really kicks in.

The loading station

After exploring the many dark, indoor rooms of the queue, the outdoor view provided by the loading station’s floor-to-ceiling windows is that much more striking. You’ll find yourself torn between staring at the exterior scene and gazing at the ride vehicle awaiting you as you’re filed into assigned rows. Finally, the gates open, you’re seated with your restraints in place, and you’re headed towards your first launch.

What is the Jurassic World VelociCoaster ride experience like?

In broad strokes, VelociCoaster puts guests on an “extreme adventure” that has them ripping and roaring not only through the air, but also through Jurassic World’s raptor paddock, which comes replete with intricate rockwork, lush foliage, and an elevated watch tower (along with its searching spotlight during night-time rides).

To get into the exact specifics of the ride experience, you’re probably going to need to sit down first.

The roller coaster employs a “revolutionary” ride vehicle that has been “specially designed to intensify the thrills.” Those thrills occur across 4,700 feet of track, some of which sits just inches above the water of Islands of Adventure’s central lagoon. It features a few near-misses and two launches, with one occurring within Jurassic World’s raptor paddock and the faster of the two hitting 70 mph in just 2.4 seconds. This second launch marks a pivotal moment in both the coaster’s story and design; the first half of the coaster winds through the foliage and rock work of the paddock, while the second half thrusts riders up and away from danger and into a series of untamed inversions over the lagoon.

There are four inversions, some of which brandish such descriptions as “one of a kind” and “the first of its kind”: a 360-degree barrel roll above water and a zero-gravity inverted stall that lasts for some 100 feet. And then there’s that massive, 155-foot hill, which contains an 80-degree drop. All told, Universal promises a total of 12 seconds of airtime – an exhilarating amount of time for riders to be lifted out of their seats.

But, best of all, the coaster – not unlike Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at next-door Universal Studios Florida – only features a lap bar.

(For a more in-depth recounting of Jurassic World VelociCoaster’s ride experience, please see our review .)

How scary is Jurassic World VelociCoaster?

Given its 155-foot-tall hill (with an 80-degree drop, no less), just looking at VelociCoaster strikes fear in some. The ride itself is even more intimidating than it looks – action-packed with multiple launches, a barrel roll, a zero-gravity stall, and so much more, you hardly have a chance to catch your breath as you race through the raptor paddock. For this reason, Jurassic World VelociCoaster earns itself five out of five raptor claws in terms of fear – and is arguably the scariest attraction at Universal.

How do Jurassic World VelociCoaster’s lockers work?

VelociCoaster’s main lockers are just as smooth and innovative an experience as the ride itself is. Thanks to their double-sided design, guests dropping off and picking up their belongings are now separated into two different areas, eliminating the congestion that is so common in other attractions’ locker bays. You insert your items on one side of the locker before boarding, and then open it on the other side to retrieve them upon exiting. (Yes, it’s just as life-altering as it sounds.) The best part is they’re located towards the end of the queue, so you can hang on to your cameras and phones for photos throughout most of the line.

The larger of VelociCoaster’s lockers are available at a premium on the bottom floor of Jurassic Park Discovery Center .

(For everything you could ever possibly want to know about lockers at Universal Orlando Resort, please see our complete insider’s guide .)

What was Jurassic World VelociCoaster’s opening date?

Jurassic World VelociCoaster – OI fun fact

The two raptors perched on the top of VelociCoaster’s marquee are meant to be a loose homage to another classic Universal coaster, Dueling Dragons, which originally had – you guessed it – two dragons facing off against one another at the start of its queue. (This facade, unfortunately, was lost when the attraction eventually became Dragon Challenge , once The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade arrived at Islands of Adventure. [Today, the space that used to house both Dueling Dragons and Dragon Challenge is home to Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure – yet another iconic ride!])

Image: Theme Park Tourist

Jurassic World: Dominion (2022) is finally here, but the theaters aren't the only place where you can get your fix for all things Jurassic . While the park might be long gone in the film series, there are still dinosaur-inhabited theme parks here in the real world, at Universal Studios Orlando and Hollywood.

Jurassic World: Dominion  is the sixth movie in the hugely popular Jurassic Park franchise, which finds dinosaur populations causing huge problems across North America, following the events in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), in which the prehistoric beasts are released into the wilderness during the third act.

jurassic world tour florida

The film unites Jurassic World  (2015) characters Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) with original Jurassic Park (1993) characters Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), and Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), as they face new and unprecedented prehistoric threats on the mainland.

The original  Jurassic Park was a hugely influential film, in that not only has it spawned five sequels, but it also inspired themed attractions at Universal Studios, which remain incredibly popular to this day. Sure, you won't find actual genetically-engineered dinosaurs at the resorts, but you will encounter the next best thing.

Here's your guide to all things Jurassic Park at both Universal Studios Hollywood and Orlando...

Jurassic Park in Universal Studios Orlando

Universal Studios Orlando's designated Jurassic Park-themed area is simply known as "Jurassic Park", but is also known as "Camp Jurassic". Located at the heart of the Island of Adventure, InGen's dinosaur cloning facility is home to Jurassic Park experiences both old and new, spared no expense.

Jurassic World Velocicoaster

jurassic world tour florida

Jurassic World Velocicoaster is the newest attraction at Jurassic Park in Universal Studios Orlando. However, unlike the other attractions, it's actually inspired by the Jurassic World movies and not the Jurassic Park ones (although they all form part of the same continuity nonetheless).

This adrenalin-fuelled roller coaster rises high above the ground, and is described as "the apex predator of roller coasters". And it's plain to see why, because it launches at an incredible speed through Jurassic Park's raptor paddock, allowing you to feel the same rush these prehistoric predators feel while they're out hunting!

You'll twist and soar above the land, and you'll even spot velociraptors as you go too.  Jurassic World Velocicoaster is the ultimate Jurassic thrill ride, and the perfect way to experience the more action-packed side of the Jurassic franchise at Universal Studios Orlando.

Pteranadon Flyers

Pteranadon Flyers, Universal

Pteranadon Flyers might sound like a thrilling experience, but it's actually designed for those "small versions of adults", as Dr. Ellie Sattler so eloquently puts it in the original 1993 classic. The ride, which sees children taking flight beneath the 10-foot wings of a pteranadon, offers amazing views of the surrounding area.

The seat is suspended from an overhead track, and allows the little ones to swing their legs freely as they fly through the air slowly and gently. So, fortunately, there are no scary moments on this ride, because that's the great thing about Jurassic Park - it knows how to strike a balance between wonder and terror!

Jurassic Park River Adventure

Jurassic Park River Adventure, Universal

Many Jurassic Park fans don't know this, but Jurassic Park River Adventure is based on a scene from Michael Crichton's 1990 best-seller "Jurassic Park", the novel upon which Steven Spielberg's 1993 classic is based. The scene in question never made it to the film, but now survives in the form of this thrilling log flume ride.

In the book, Dr. Alan Grant, Lex Murphy, and Tim Murphy attempt to reach the visitor center using an inflatable boat, during which they're stalked by the tyrannosaurus rex. In the Universal Studios Orlando version, however, you'll see all sorts of dinosaurs, including brachiosaurs, stegosaurs, compys, parasaurs, and velociraptors.

After starting out in your raft with fellow guests, you'll pass through the watery haven of Hadrosaur Cove, but it won't belong before things go awry. Soon, you'll encounter compys and raptors, before your raft enters a dark facility, where you'll face the wrath of the mighty t-rex, before plunging down a 85-foot drop!

And now for Universal Studios Hollywood...

‘Jurassic World 4’ Everything We Know: Plot, Cast, Release Date, Trailer, and News

in Movies & TV

(L to R) 'Jurassic World Dominion' logo, Scarlett Johansson from 'Lucy', and the T-Rex from the 'Jurassic World Dominion' Winter Olympics trailer

Jurassic World 4 (2025) is officially in development . The upcoming film will be the seventh installment in the long-running Jurassic franchise, following J urassic Park (1993), The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Jurassic Park III (2001), Jurassic World (2015), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), and Jurassic World Dominion (2022).

While there’s still a lot we don’t know about the new film, recent weeks have seen plenty of details about the project come to light, from directors to release dates, and rumored titles to rumored plotlines. Now, some very exciting (and confirmed) casting news has also emerged. So here’s everything we know about Jurassic World 4 so far.

Hold onto your butts…

Jurassic World 4 Plot

Maisie Lockwood's reflection merging with the Indoraptor's in 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom'

Universal Pictures has yet to release an official synopsis for Jurassic World 4 . There’s also no confirmation on whether the upcoming film is even a sequel to Jurassic World Dominion , so, at the moment, we’re completely in the dark regarding the premise.

However, a rumor shared by entertainment industry insider V Scooper claims that the seventh installment in the franchise will revolve around “a rescue team” that heads to an unspecified dinosaur-inhabited island “to save scientists” where they discover “a hybrid human-dinosaur serum.” The main hero is said to be “a John Wick-inspired character.”

Check out V Scooper’s tweet below:

JURASSIC PARK (rumors) – A rescue team ventures into an island ruled by dinosaurs to save scientists – The main hero to be a “John Wick” inspired character – A hybrid human-dinosaur serum is uncovered at the end – Focused on action and visuals Nothing definite yet.

This is nothing more than a rumor, so it’s best to take it with a massive pinch of salt. However, as outlandish as it may sound, the concept of human-dinosaur hybrids is nothing new to the Jurassic Park / Jurassic World movies.

The best part of 20 years ago, a proposed script for Jurassic Park 4 (which eventually became 2015’s Jurassic World ) featured human-dinosaur hybrid soldiers. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom  also subtly reveals that human clone Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon) shares genetic properties with the film’s dinosaur-hybrid known as the Indoraptor .

A separate rumor suggests the film will be titled Jurassic City .

Jurassic World 4 Cast

(L to R) Ian Malcolm, Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, Claire Dearing, Owen Grady, Maisie Lockwood, and Kayla Watts in 'Jurassic World Dominion'

No actors from the previous Jurassic movies are expected to return for Jurassic World 4 .

In an interview with EXTRA (via the Bryce Dallas Howard Network) while promoting her new film Argylle (2024) , Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays Claire Dearing in all three Jurassic World movies, said she’s excited to see “new generations of actors be a part of that [ Jurassic World 4 ] story.” In an interview with ComicBook.com while promoting her new film Imaginary (2024) , DeWanda Wise, who plays Kayla Watts in Jurassic World Dominion , said, “I do not know” when asked if she would be returning.

Franchise icon Sam Neill, who plays Alan Grant in Jurassic Park , Jurassic Park III , and Dominion , recently told Forbes, “Maybe that’s it” for his character .

Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) screaming "Run" in 'Jurassic World'

So it looks like the “new Jurassic era” will introduce new characters. Recently, it was rumored that Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) icon Scarlett Johansson, who plays Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in those films, was in talks with Universal Pictures to star as the lead in Jurassic World 4 . Now, we can confirm that these rumors are true: per The Hollywood Reporter , Johansson, 39, is in talks with the studio to star in the new movie.

Though it’s likely Johansson would play a brand-new character, she may play an existing character like Lex Murphy , who was played by Ariana Richards in Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park , or perhaps an older version of human clone Maisie Lockwood , who was played by Isabella Sermon in Fallen Kingdom and Dominion .

Jurassic World 4 Trailer

The T-Rex smashing through the Spinosaurus skeleton in 'Jurassic World'

Jurassic World 4 doesn’t start shooting until the summer. Filming will begin at Sky Studios, Elstree, in the UK, and there are rumors it’s also expected to film on location in Hawaii like all the previous six films . Either way, there’s no trailer yet.

Fortunately, though, there are two other trailers you can sink your teeth into.

Check out the trailer for the upcoming first-person, action-adventure video game Jurassic Park: Survival (TBA), which is a direct sequel to the original 1993 film:

And check out the trailer for the upcoming animated series Jurassic World: Chaos Theory (2024), which follows on from Netflix’s Camp Cretaceous , taking place between Fallen Kingdom and Dominion :

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory will stream on Netflix later this year. There’s no release date for Jurassic Park: Survival .

Jurassic World 4 Release Date

Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) with Beta the raptor on his back in 'Jurassic World Dominion'

Universal Pictures has confirmed that Jurassic World 4 is being “fast-tracked” for theatrical release on July 2, 2025.

Several creatives who worked on previous Jurassic installments have been confirmed. Jurassic Park and The Lost World screenwriter David Koepp is penning the script,  Jurassic World producers Patrick Cowley and Frank Marshall are back, and Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two films and was executive producer on the last four ( Jurassic Park III  through Dominion ), is back as EP. Paleontologists Steve Brusatte and Jack Horner are also returning . Brusatte was an advisor on Dominion with franchise veteran Horner, who has consulted on every film in the series.

Deadpool 2 (2018) and Bullet Train (2022) director David Leitch was originally tapped to helm the film, but it’s now being directed by Gareth Edwards ( Godzilla 2014  and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ) .
