Where To Eat In The Aventura Mall
Ryan Pfeffer & Virginia Otazo
March 10, 2023
So you’re going to the Aventura Mall, a shopping compound so busy it’d give Santa anxiety. Well, we can’t help you find a parking spot, but we can help you find some good things to eat. Aventura Mall actually has the most food options of any South Florida mall, and here are some of our favorite spots to check out. You deserve it after being verbally threatened by that mom in a minivan who claims you stole her spot.
Sit Down Restaurants
Motek is one of our favorite restaurants in Downtown Miami , and their Aventura restaurant has an identical menu—plus cocktails (which the Downtown location doesn’t have). If you’re looking to sit down and have a leisurely meal, you should do it here. There really aren't any misses on the Israeli menu, but the chicken schnitzel sandwich, shakshuka, and arayes burger always deliver.

Pubbelly Sushi
Just like its South Beach location, Pubbelly is a solid choice for Japanese small plates. This isn’t a grab-and-go food court situation. You’re sitting down here and you will have a server. But the food tends to come out really fast, so it’s a good option if you’re in a rush. Come here for sushi (mostly rolls and sashimi), gyoza, various yakitori-inspired dishes, and also the one thing you should definitely order: the butter krab roll. It's basically just an efficient delivery system for warm clarified butter.
Tap 42 is a South Florida chain where you can consistently expect solid bar food staples (we like their burger), a long beer list, and an atmosphere that feels casual—but still nice enough to make you feel like you’re at a restaurant and not some generic sports bar. The nice thing about Tap 42’s Aventura Mall location is that it’s on a secluded rooftop patio. So it’s a good choice if you’re incredibly sick of crowds or if it’s a nice day and you want to sip a beer while you watch the chaos of the parking lot.
Vendors Inside Treat’s Food Hall On The Third Floor
Yalla Motek
Look for the word “yalla” in yellow neon lights. That’s where you’ll find Motek’s counter-service spot that lives upstairs in the Treats Food Hall. This place serves delicious, overflowing falafel sandwiches. Their spicy waffle fries are big, crispy, and come with a tangy sauce. And their lamb hummus is creamy and zesty. This is some of the prettiest (and tastiest) mall food court food we’ve ever had. You can also build your own rice, hummus, or salad bowl. And if you’re worried you won’t hear when they call your name, don’t worry—they have a bullhorn.
Jrk! is everything Chipotle (which is actually just 100 yards away) wishes it was. This isn’t tasteless food court chicken. The Treats Food Hall vendor is making very good Jamaican jerk chicken. It’s smokey, spicy, and a little sweet. You can have it in a bowl, like the classic jerk with rice and peas, cabbage slaw, and pineapple plantains. Or you can build your own. We never expected to find such a good Jamaican spot inside the Aventura Mall, but the oxtail, pepper steak, jerk chicken, and patties here almost make the parking lot traffic worth it.
Little Brittany Creperie
If you don’t want a big meal, but need a little sugar boost to work up the courage to walk past that intimidating group of mall teens down the escalator, then swing by Little Brittany. They make crepes here—plus some other stuff, but stick to the crepes. They’re simple, satisfying, and come in sweet and savory versions. We like the classic lime, which has just a little powdered sugar, butter, and a touch of lime.
Ground Floor Kiosks
Caviar & More
We usually try to avoid eye contact with mall kiosks, but Caviar And More near J. Crew is one you’ll want to visit for a fancy mall snack. They serve caviar with creme fraiche and bellinis, smoked salmon, champagne, foie gras, and some sandwiches. It’s absolutely Aventura Mall’s best (and bougiest) kept food secret.
Ralph’s Coffee
What does Ralph Lauren coffee taste like—a polo shirt? Cologne? On the lower level near the Ralph Lauren Store, you’ll find an answer: it just tastes like good coffee. They teamed up with La Colombe to roast blends created specifically for the brand. They offer regular and decaf drip coffees, espressos, as well as cold brew and iced coffee. You can slowly sip a latte at the long white benches or take it with you on the go. It’s a nice perk to shopping at Aventura Mall.

Orlando International Airport predicts record travel for spring break
Florida is the top choice for spring breakers, and within the state, Orlando is the top destination, according to AAA.
Central Florida has its own kind of March Madness called spring break.
And Orlando International Airport and AAA-The Auto Club Group are forecasting a very busy season.
Spring break has already begun for some colleges. For example, Bethune Cookman's spring break is this week. It starts next Monday at Rollins College, and March 18 at University of Central Florida.
As for the high schools, Sumter County students are off this week; and Osceola, Lake and Marion public schools are closed next week. Orange and Seminole County public schools start spring break on March 18, and Volusia and Brevard on March 25.
The Orlando International Airport predicts a record 7.6 million passengers for the season, an 11% increase over last year.
The next four Saturdays will be the busiest days.
“This growth is actually a continuation of what we saw in 2023," Greater Orlando Aviation Authority CEO Kevin Thibault said in a prepared statement. "For the year, we shattered all passenger records with more than 57.7 million travelers.”
A survey of its members shows strong spring and summer travel, according to spokesman Mark Jenkins. That includes Florida residents.
"The great thing for Floridians is that Florida is right here," he said. "A lot of these popular destinations that other people have to jump on an airplane to get to. It's right here in our backyard."
The AAA survey found that 29% of Floridians are planning a trip for spring break, many of them choosing beaches or theme parks.

Out to Sea and Overseas: AAA Travel’s Spring Break Trends
Cruises and international trips on the rise; florida tops list of domestic destinations.
WASHINGTON, DC (Feb. 26, 2024) – If there’s one place that defines Spring Break, it’s Florida! AAA Travel booking data shows the Sunshine State tops the list of Spring Break destinations this year. Atlantic and Gulf Coast beaches, family-friendly attractions, and cruise ports make Florida a logical choice for travelers seeking fun in the sun.
“Orlando is the top choice for Spring Break travelers, while Fort Lauderdale and Miami are the two most popular domestic cruise ports,” said Paula Twidale, Senior Vice President of AAA Travel. “Many travelers are looking for warm weather, pools and beaches, and outdoor adventures this time of year, and cruise vacations check all those boxes.”
Cruising is off to a splashy start in 2024 with sold-out ships and inaugural sailings, and that strong demand is evident in Spring Break bookings. AAA Travel data shows a 28% increase in cruise bookings for March and April compared to last year, and a 60% percent increase for cruises departing from South Florida.
Good to Know: More travelers are booking cruises farther in advance, which is one of AAA Travel’s cruising trends this year. Many Spring Break cruises have been sold-out for months. Last-minute bookings are possible, but prices may be higher and cabin choices limited. If you miss the boat for Spring Break, AAA Travel suggests booking a summer cruise now before they sell out, especially if you’re eyeing popular destinations like Alaska.
AAA Trip Canvas Tips: For families traveling with teens, check out the best cruise lines for teenagers.
- Best for Onboard Activities: ROYAL CARIBBEAN
- Best for Teen Clubs: CARNIVAL
- Best for Families with Kids of Different Ages: DISNEY CRUISE LINE
- Best for Recreational Tournaments: PRINCESS CRUISES
- Best for Entertainment Options: HOLLAND AMERICA LINE
- Best For Family Accommodations: CELEBRITY CRUISES
International Spring Break trips are also on the rise compared to last year. AAA data for March and April shows international flight bookings are up 20% and hotel bookings are up 37%. European cities top the list of most popular destinations: London, Paris, Rome, Dublin, and Amsterdam. “More AAA members are also booking tours for their international Spring Break vacations. They want the convenience, expertise, and peace of mind that guided travel brings.”
Good to Know : Planning ahead is key when traveling internationally, and that includes reserving airport parking well in advance. For peace of mind during your trip, The Parking Spot provides a well-lit, fenced-in parking area with 24-hour staff on premises. As a bonus, select locations offer EV charging and car washes, so you return home to a clean car! The earlier you reserve at The Parking Spot, the more you save, and AAA members receive a discount.
If you plan to drive at your destination, don’t forget to obtain an International Driving Permit (IDP) before your trip. An IDP is a document that translates a valid U.S. driver’s license into several different languages. Most countries highly recommend an IDP and several countries require it. AAA is the only entity in the U.S. authorized by the State Department to issue an IDP.

LAST UPDATED BY Skye Rodgers September 6, 2019
Tampa hosts a variety of shopping experiences from luxury shopping malls to quaint, historic shopping districts. To help you find the experience that's perfect for you, 10 Best has put together a list of your best options.
Many of Tampa's shopping malls and centers are open-air to take advantage of warm weather and beautiful sunny days. If you're looking to experience Tampa's rich ethnic history while exploring unique gift stores and eclectic boutiques, then Ybor City is where you should go. After enjoying a day of shopping and exploring, you can sample the neighborhood's popular restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
If you're looking for an open-air option that is a little more manicured and orderly there are a couple of planned shopping villages as well. The most popular is Hyde Park Village . Located in one of Tampa's most exclusive neighborhoods, this shopping district features a mix of trendy shops and boutiques with some high-end dining options.

The Mall offers Sears, Grands, Dillard's and Burlington Coat Factory as its anchor stores along with 140 more shops featuring men's and women's apparel, jewelry, sports equipment, and much more.
