Full menu TheFork – Au Martin Bleu

Started with a scallop farro appetizer that was delicious. We love farro in our house so I particularly enjoyed the pairing with three seared scallops. The main was a white fish in the most delicious sauce with English peas, snow peas and a little spinach.... Also yummy! Finally dessert was the perfect molten lava cake with raspberry sorbet. I was very pleased with all aspects of the meal. Including 1/2 bottles of Pellegrino and wine, the entire experience was less than 70€. WILL be back! More

Friendly atmosphere. Excellent menu at €34 - not really cheap but enough options to choose from. Our foie gras and escargots were really good; the fish meals for main course were very tasty - really French style. We would definitely come back!

We a little problem with a French only menu but we struggled through with the help of the waitress. Two of us had the lamb shank which we could not finish. The others had steak which was amazing. We also had an excellent Cab Franc... for dinner. 15 minute walk from the Hampton Inn. Great location and food More

One of our favourite addresses in Tours, local products well prepared and perfectly cooked- particularly fish which is Florent's speciality- but you can't go wrong with his beuchelle or Angus snacké either!!!

I am a local who lives a few blocks from Martin Bleu. The food is good and well-prepared and the restaurant itself is very nice. However, it is not nice enough to compensate for their terrible customer service related to honoring their reservations. Here is... my recent experience with this restaurant. About three weeks ago, I made a reservation for Saturday lunch for a special occasion. Friday night, I received a curt text from the owner informing me that the restaurant was full and that my reservation was canceled. Having been there before and knowing that the food was good, I decided to give them a second chance, and I made a reservation (that was actually honored!) for Saturday lunch a few weeks later; it was very good. This weekend, I have another special day planned with my daughter, and so I made a reservation for Saturday lunch. It's now Saturday and I woke up to learn that the owner had sent another last-minute text telling me that the restaurant was full for Saturday "night" and that my reservation was canceled. When I told him my reservation was for lunch, he canceled it anyway. tl/dr version: In the last month, I have made 3 reservations at this restaurant, with 2 of them rudely canceled. Florent, your food is good--but it's not THAT good. More

A moderate restaurant with French cuisine. Food good but service could be better. At a certain point I watched the waiter drinker water from an big bottle ( not using a glass).Looked a bit strange.

The 31 euro menu was good value for money, my smoked salmon starter served with beetroot hummus was excellent and there was loads of it. The Foie starter was also outstanding. We both had Steak with Bleu D'auvergne served with Dauphinoise potatoes for main course,... perfectly cooked and tender, not like your average French Entrecote experience. Refreshing Nougat Parfait with raspberry coulis was a great way to end the meal. The service was very good, very little English spoken but we got by. The only negative was that the wine we were recommended was very expensive, 37 euro and it really didn't blow our minds. Overall highly recommended and much less touristy than the places in Place Plummerau. More

Arrived at 7pm we did book as read previous reviews seems a must or you'll miss out. Thank god we did not one spare seat in the place after 8:30pm. Menu is written in French , being Australian my French not too fluent so we... slowly worked our way through deciphering best we could. We went for 31€ menu. Waiter was a fantastic help did his best to get our order in with minimal English but we could understand basics. All courses ordered were truly the best choices. Entree -scallops just divine , smoked salmon and snails weren't bad either. Cabernet sauce with snails quiet rich serve was bigger than expected. Mains we had Angus beef it was stunning along with the fish dish , catfish in a Berre sauce and steamed veg. We had no room left for desert 2 courses was just enough. Service was outstanding with 2 waiters running a full restaurant this included the owner , chef Florent Martin himself personally taking orders and serving food such a nice touch to see. Would totally recommend Au Martin Bleu it's a great restaurant , Michelin star totally deserved you won't be disappointed!! More

Having read the reviews on Trip Advisoor we were hoping to enjoy a very good meal. However the food and service were much better than expected. The esgargot entre was superbly cooked, tender and the perfect balance of flavor and texture. The steak and pork again... perfectly cooked and seasoned. Fabulous presentation and generous potions. A wide selection of cheeses carefully balanced and a truely delicious tarte of mango and passionfruit cream. Our lone waiter was attentive and polite despite having at least 26 customers to attend. Thank you Au Martin Bleu for a memorable meal and a warm, generous welcome to two Australians with very limited French. Merci. More

We ate at this restaurant while on our France tour. Since we saw the trip advisor sticker on the window we were comfortable to try it out. The restaurant was small and quaint,. The staff was very helpful in guiding us to choose our selection... since the menu was only in French. The food is incredible, very fresh,, and the service was wonderful. The price was right, Under 20 Euros for 3 course meal with large portions. Don't pass this up while in Tours, France!! More

The photos made this place look really classy. The reality was something else. I arrived dressed up wearing a long coat and hat. I triedto hand my coat to the waiter who said he could not take it because of Covid restrictions. What a load... of rubbish. Fortunately there was an empty table so i was able to roll up my coat on another chair rather than have it trail on the floor behind my chair. For the meal I chose gambas 'juste snackee'...this is NOT a french culinary term but meant they were just flipped over on a plancha...so just cooked. They were much too small to be called gambas...large prawns. All their accompaniments were very pretty but also luke warm at best. For the main a SUPERB duck fillet SUPERBLY cooked but although most of the accompaniments were warm...one puree had come straight from the fridge. I am a huge fan of lemon meringue anything and theirs was a delight to look at but once again disappointing in terms of taste....where was that sharp tang of lemon? The toilets were clean and included a child seat ...but who would take an infant into such a restaurant?...but they were also a place to store unwanted chairs. Maybe they should have used the space for a coat rack. The radiators could all do with a good clean too. With just small tweaks in the kitchen this could go from a disappointing restaurant to a truly great one since the chef has obviously worked in some prestigious establishments. P.S All the photos already on the site reflect accurately how your dish arrives. Despite the restaurant being full the noise level was low. More

Few of us ordered the various set of 2/3 course dinners. The entries were difference and very good; the main courses are average and the dessert were very good also. I do find the service / dinner were very slow.

au martin bleu tours

Very good restaurant nicely presented and very good dishes with a touch of innovation, snail burger excellent , forget the tempura too much heavy butter but the surgeon and the turbot were cooked to perfection, excellent service, nice local wines selection

My st. Pierre fish was fantastic!! Nd I took st. Jacque for entree which is actually a soup but very good! Easy to reach in the very city center in front of the municipality. Better to make a reservation ‘cause the place has few tables.... Few choices and this means everything is fresh and accurate. Menu not super easy to understand , better ask to waiters. Reasonable prices (28€ 2 dishes without drinks). More

Great little restaurant slightly away from the main restaurants. Great selection of French food presented and served well. 2 courses €30 euros

Menu complet TheFork – Au Martin Bleu

On recommande chaleureusement !

More
