Royal Blood Announce 2023 North American Tour

The UK duo are set to embark on an extensive two-leg stateside outing

Royal Blood Announce 2023 North American Tour

Royal Blood have announced an extensive two-leg 2023 North American Fall 2023 tour in support of their recently announced forthcoming album, Back to the Water Below .  The outing will feature support from Bad Nerves on the first leg and Hot Wax on the second leg.

The first leg of the UK duo’s stateside tour will kick off on September 16th at the Sea.Hear.Now festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and wrap up October 3rd in New York City. The second leg launches November 9th in Los Angeles and finishes November 27th in San Diego.

Tickets are available via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

As mentioned, Royal Blood are set to release the new album Back to the Water Below , which arrives on September 8th. Judging by the first single, “Mountains at Midnight,” the band appears to be returning to a more hard-rocking vibe after delving into dance and alternative sounds on their previous effort, 2021’s Typhoons .

Hopefully, Royal Blood get a better reception on the North American tour than they did this past Sunday during their gig at BBC Radio One’s Big Weekend in Dundee, Scotland. Frontman Mike Kerr was clearly unhappy with the crowd’s lack of enthusiasm, lambasting them from the stage and flipping them off as the band wrapped up the performance.

Preceding and in-between the North American legs, Royal Blood will be playing shows in Europe and the UK. See their complete itinerary below, and pick up tickets here.

Talk about working a crowd into a frenzy...Mike Kerr of Royal Blood did just that last night @ jannus live. Ben Thatcher was a crowd favorite...so much energy and skill on the skins and with the crowd, he rallied the troops throughout the entire show. Special thanks to TurboWolf for an excellent set to get the crowd into the onslaught of power rock by these two talented Brits. Very engaging with the crowd...Royal Blood has a true cult following in the Tampa Bay area....all ages...all persuasions were kicking up their heels for this show.

Although this was only my second rock concert, it's definitely going to outdo any show in my concert-going future. The energy from Mike and Ben radiated into the crowd, and being on the barrier was a dream come true. sure, my neck experienced *some* pain from excessive headbanging, but my mood was not phased one bit. Mike and Ben are truly a bloody insane duo, and they kept the energy all the way up to 11 the whole time. I've been obsessed with them for about a year, and they managed to sound even better live than in the studio. Absolutely no doubt that I'm DEFINITELY going to see them again when they come around next.

The concert was great. The band played all of their best songs and the solos were the highlights of the night. I really liked the intro too because it was in a Christmas mood. Carol of the bells is definitely my favorite Christmas song after this concert. I really liked how the singer sang everything through without skipping any parts in songs. The quality of the performance was on top and my friend and I had a very good time on the concert. I am very grateful that the band made it to Zurich after all. It was very cool and remarkable. Even the warm-up band before Royal Blood was very cool which I honestly didn't expect. All in all, I was very happy with the performance and how the band cheered up the audience. The atmosphere in the hall was crazy and very rock-n-roll. I really hope to see the band here again.

About Royal Blood:

Mike Kerr (vocals/bass) and Ben Thatcher (drums) formed Royal Blood in Brighton, England, and released their self-titled double-Platinum debut album in 2014. It’s thrilling and visceral sound of bass played like a lead guitar with thunderous drums immediately engaged a huge audience. Their reputation continued to explode with the similarly successful follow-up, 2017’s How Did We Get So Dark?

To date, each of Royal Blood’s three studio albums have topped the UK charts, in the process selling over 3 million albums worldwide. Their acclaim has included the BRIT Award for “Best British Group” plus further accolades at the NME and Kerrang! Awards along with a Mercury Prize nomination. They’ve made a major international impact, hitting the Top 10 in a further seven territories and peaking at #2 on the US Alternative Album chart, three #1 hits at Rock Radio, plus four Top 20 records at Alternative Radio and commanding critical praise in influential media outlets such as Rolling Stone, Loudwire, Guitar Worldand many more. The duo has long been considered one of the most exciting live bands in the world. They have toured with Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age and have gone on to become festival headliners and have toured the globe numerous times and have performed at every major music festival. With the April 2021 release of TYPHOONS, Royal Blood elevated to the next level. Its lead single, “Trouble’s Coming” and the title track, have amassed millions of streams, huge support at Radio 1, topped the US Rock charts, added to a number of key streaming playlists and performed masterfully on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Royal Blood will tour the world in 2022.

Royal Blood Announce 2022 North American Tour With Cleopatrick

There's a typhoon ready to hit North America in 2022, as Royal Blood will be bringing their "AC-disco" sounds from the Typhoons album to audiences across the country. The U.K. rockers have mapped out time in April and May to head stateside to support their standout 2021 release.

The band will kick off the run April 18 in Toronto, before heading south of the Canadian border, but rest assured fans in Canada that there will be plenty of dates for those in the Great White North. The run crosses both the U.S. and Canada before finishing May 24 in Boston. See all of the dates, cities and venues listed below.

It should also be noted that Royal Blood are bringing out one of 2021's buzziest new bands with Cleopatrick set to open shows throughout the run. The group will be touring in support of their debut album Bummer , which yielded "Good Grief," "The Drake" and "Family Van."

Fan pre-sales will begin tomorrow (Dec. 1) at 10AM local time. Those on Royal Blood's mailing list will receive a passcode to participate. The general public on-sale takes place this Friday (Dec. 3) at 9AM local time. Check the band's website for further ticketing details.

It's been a solid year for Royal Blood who carried over the success of Typhoons 2020 lead single "Trouble's Coming" into this year, then followed with the songs "Limbo," "Boilermaker" and the title track.

Royal Blood Unveil 2023 Headline Tour

Per the official press release –

In the wake of last week’s new album and single announcement, the mighty  Royal Blood  reveal an extensive US tour in support of their forthcoming album  Back To The Water Below.  The general on-sale is on Friday, June 2 at 10:00AM local time.   As previously announced,  Royal Blood ’s fourth full-length studio album  Back To The Water Below  is set for release on  September 8  via  Warner Records  and is their strongest, hardest-rockin’ body of work to date.  The album’s lead single  “Mountains At Midnight”  is available now. Listen  HERE  and watch the official video  HERE .    Back To The Water Below  is now available to pre-order  HERE . In addition to its digital release, physical formats include deluxe vinyl (packaged with a bonus 7” featuring two additional tracks) and two cassettes, all of which are available exclusively from  Royal Blood’s  official store. Amazon will stock an exclusive gold vinyl, while HMV (UK only) and select indie stores offer an exclusive clear vinyl. The range is completed by a CD and a regular black vinyl.   The single  “Mountains At Midnight”  provides a fresh take on the old school  Royal Blood  prototype – albeit with a supercharged rush.  Mike Kerr  inventively layers a heavyweight wall-of-sound solely with his bass, while  Ben Thatcher’s  rhythms simultaneously swing with a spacious groove while pummelling us into submission.   Mike’s  lyrics complement the song’s ominous, foreboding ambiance with vehement menace:  “I’m a ticking timebomb hooligan come to light your fuse / 24-carat thug in a velvet glove.”    Royal Blood  present plenty of surprises without ever compromising the essence of their identity.  “Shiner In The Dark”  sets a rock ‘n roll swagger to the tight, danceable rhythms that defined the 2021 album  Typhoons.    Devoid of distortion, “ The Firing Line”  represents a bigger departure, its ‘90s alt-rock tone and an underbelly of psychedelia later elevated by a chiming piano melody.  “Pull Me Through”  goes further still, uniting the plaintive piano that fans loved in the live favourite  “All We Have Is Now”  with a full-blooded denouement. They’re also songs which will not only provide a broader spectrum of moods for live shows, but that will offer the dynamic contrast to amplify the power of their most fiery moments.
