I also done the boat trip and encounter with dolphins + lunch and I'd 100 percent recommend..we saw the dolphins jumping and it was a lifelong memory. I then come back and had lunch at crabbys dockside restaurants with my $20 voucher, as I was a solo traveller I didn't need to pay for anything else which was amazing! Then had a wonderful time on the beach. I want to highly recommend and thank Oscar our driver, very polite and informative and clear instructions. He recommended sitting on the 3rd floor of the restaurant - it has amazing views!! Thank you so much ☺️ Read more Written March 18, 2024
  • JarCar1980 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles KSC Stress Free We were delighted with our all inclusive experience. (Minus food) The Gray Line bus with our tour guide Oscar Noriyuki picked us up just minutes from our hotel. We arrived at the KSC gates where Oscar handed us our tickets and our adventure began. After touring KSC, we boarded the bus for our air boat ride. Everything was so well planned and very convenient. Oscar also gave very good advice on how to navigate KSC so we were able to see all that was important to us. It was an enjoyable, stress free experience. Read more Written March 18, 2024
  • ErezPas 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles My overall disappointing experience at The Kennedy Space Center While entering the Kennedy Space Center with intense enthusiasm for the wonders of space travel and exploration, I was greatly disappointed to discover that the vast majority of exhibits are nothing more than replicas, often of vehicles and technology that has not even made it to space, yet. It seems that the only authentic exhibits were the SpaceX rocket and capsule. The electric signs for the KSC Spaceport attractions did not work, and we had to guess which line to stand in for the experience of our choice. The experience itself (we attended the "Uncharted Worlds" experience) left much to be desired. They kept the lights on during the entire experience, which completely destroyed any sense of immersiveness. The music was incredibly loud, so much so that we could not hear what the narrator was saying. The "Origin Blue" VR experience, to which we had to make reservations through the app (only to discover that the reservations are just for the queue, and that despite making the reservations we still had to wait in line) was very low quality - after the first 2 minutes of actual VR we only got to see video clips (that I could watch on any screen and with better quality). There is no door on the capsule, so the sounds and music of everything else in the background constantly intefered with the sound of the experience, not to mention the voice of the assistant of the ride, who was constantly chatting with people who were still in the queue. The documentary that played in the IMAX theater was definitely not one that requires IMAX technology. We actually dozed off half way through it. The Shuttle Atlantis experience wasn't satisfying, either. While the story of the building of the Atlantis is an interesting one, no one needs to walk from room to room just to watch more movies describing it. The interactive stations that followed were incredibly low quality. It reminded me of 1980's video games. The technology to make all of these experiences so much more immersive, appealing and even thrilling has existed for quite a while at this point in time, which leaves me wondering how the agency responsible for having put a man on the moon has yet to implement it. Our boat captain and guide for the manatee swim was excellent. My tip: take the least amount that you can on the boat trip. What you take, will get wet. The walk through Homosassa Springs is a charming animal park. The airboat ride was impressive. It’s a huge boat. Very comfortable bench seats. The driver skills were very impressive. The scenery was breath taking!! Lots of birds and alligators. We got unbelievably close to the alligators. Still at a safe distance. Marvellous fun a great way to end our adventure for the day. • F5003GQkarim 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Some fun, much disappointment Our drivers and guides were professional and personable. The boats and gear were clean, like new, and comfortable. Our manatee excursion was disappointing due to the fact that the visibility was very poor and the manatees had left the crystal river area. The driver knew about this beforehand that it would be challenging to see a manatee. We only saw one, far from the trip advisor pictures for the ad. Another disappointment was the $38 in parking we had to pay at Disney Swan, our pick up point. Lastly, the trip completion time was incorrectly communicated with us. We were told, via phone operator, the finish time was 3pm. We didnt get back to our car until 630pm. As a result, my husband had to miss a work related call. We were disappointed with this part of our experience. A return call/message from Viator would be appreciated. Read more Written March 15, 2024

Environment | rep. carolina amesty notarized document that teacher says he never signed | special report, environment | miami to montreal: cyclists take 3,300-mile ride starting in florida for climate awareness.

While most casual cyclists would balk at the idea of traveling more than 30 or 40 miles in a day by bike, one woman is making a three-month trek on two wheels from Miami to Montreal, spreading awareness about climate change along the way.

Heather Noreen , who was born in Wisconsin but has spent most of her adult years raising her five children in Europe, first got the spark to start her nonprofit, Climate Tours , in 2017 when she and her kids traveled by bike to Amsterdam on a family vacation.

“The kids absolutely loved it. We spent a lot of time together without screens,” she said. “That’s when I decided that I wanted to change jobs. I wanted to do something to get people to understand that this is a really fun way to travel. It’s good for the environment and us.”

The 48-year-old nonprofit founder and workshop facilitator is joined by her son, 24-year-old Alexander Bonte, on the 3,300-mile trek using Gazelle electric bikes. Along the way, Noreen is stopping in 21 cities to host workshops and card games such as 2tonnes, Food Collage, Mobility Collage and Climate Fresk , designed to educate participants about the science behind climate change.

“There’s a study that says that 70 percent of Americans know that climate change exists. Only 40 percent think that one day it will impact them,” she said. “The cards share this common knowledge base with everyone.”

During a four-day stop in Orlando, Noreen met with Citizens’ Climate Lobby, IDEAS For Us, UCF students and others to host workshops that help people better understand our human impact on the planet and how to take action.

“The first thing to do is figure out how we contribute to climate change. I tell people they should calculate their carbon footprint,” she said, mentioning the number of online calculators that help with this task. “From that, you decide to do something and start with one thing and try to make it the most impactful thing. It could be eating less meat. It could be working from home an extra day or deciding to get a smaller car, or taking your bike.”

Noreen said the critical mass and social “tipping point” needed to create a more sustainable future is what motivates her to keep going. Just the visibility of the bikes on this Climate Tour helps start the conversation with strangers she and her son encounter on the street.

“People don’t get it at all. They’re like, ‘So you’re putting your bike on your car?’ I tell them that I’m biking there,” she said. “Sometimes they walk away and then come back, ‘Wait, you’re going to Montreal from here?'”

Actor Pierce Brosnan has pleaded guilty to stepping off a trail in a thermal area while visiting Yellowstone National Park. Brosnan was fined $500 and ordered to pay $1,000 to Yellowstone Forever, a nonprofit organization that supports the park. A second petty offense was dismissed during Thursday's hearing in Mammoth, Wyoming. The actor issued an apology on his Instagram account Thursday, calling himself an environmentalist who “made an impulsive mistake” while taking a photo and saying he did not see a “no trespassing” sign. Brosnan walked in an off-limits area at Mammoth Terraces in the northern part of the park on Nov. 1 and posted the images on Instagram. The terraces are a scenic area of mineral-encrusted hot springs bubbling from a hillside.

orlando tours from miami

Busta Rhymes just canceled his entire tour. So what was he doing performing in Miami?

What gives, Busta Rhymes?

The rap icon has canceled all the dates on the “Blockbusta” tour, including two Florida dates, in support of his new album of the same name, as per Ticketmaster.

Rhymes (real name Trevor George Smith) was supposed to kick off his tour March 13 in San Francisco, followed by stops in Orlando at the House of Blues April 1 and The Fillmore Miami Beach the next night. But last week, poof .

“Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event,” says a message on producer Live Nation’s website. “No action is required to obtain a refund.”

READ MORE: JLo cancels a bunch of dates on her tour

Rhymes gave no explanation to fans about why he would scrap literally all his upcoming concerts, and some fans speculated he was ailing .

But that doesn’t appear to be the case. Rhymes managed to keep his commitment in Miami, on Saturday night — for charity. The Brooklyn hip hopper did a set at The Little Lighthouse Foundation’s annual Hearts and Stars gala at Jungle Plaza in the Design District.

We were told the 51 year old belted out such hits as “I Know What You Want,” “Break Ya Neck” and “Bounce for a well heeled, many of whom paid $750 and up for a VIP ticket.

Even though fans may be disappointed, we can’t fault the guy. He managed to help raise money for the LLF, a nonprofit that works to help underserved communities in South Florida.

The music star posted footage of the high energy show on Instagram.

“Thank you again for having us [and] doing it with us in the biggest Blockbusta way Miami!” he wrote in the caption in all caps. “Let’s do it again soon!”

Yeah, but when, Busta? If you’re feeling OK, inquiring minds would like to know.

On a different post that saw him smiling on stage in Jungle Plaza, saying “the blessings don’t stop,” a few folks wanted answers.

“So what happened with the tour???” a commenter asked. “I bought meet & greet tickets for my mom who is turning 65 and LOVES YOU … Will you be rescheduling it?”

“This is some bs. We had tickets and were looking forward to seeing him.”

“This guy has time to be everywhere except for his own tour.”

Many fans said they assumed the cancelation was due to poor ticket sales, but most seemed more frustrated by the star’s lack of communication.

“Sure wish you would have ‘blessed us’ on your tour. Instead, you canceled on us and are rubbing it in our faces by posting more now, than you ever have, while still not acknowledging that you bailed on us,” wrote another disappointed ticketholder. “I hate to think that you are one of those types of people who are too arrogant to at least acknowledge and explain what happened. Or a simple, ‘My bad guys, I’ll get you next time’ would have been good enough.”

Jennifer Lopez cancels tour stops, including in Tampa: What we know

  • Madeleine Marr Miami Herald (TNS)

What gives, JLo?

Jennifer Lopez has axed several upcoming shows on her “This is Me ... Now” tour, including a stop in Tampa , and there has been no explanation why.

“Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event,” says a note on  Ticketmaster ’s website, when you click on information regarding the Aug. 27 concert at Amalie Arena. “No action is required to obtain a refund. It will be processed to the original method of payment used at time of purchase.”

The dates from Aug. 20 to Aug. 31 in such other cities as Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, New Orleans and Houston were also listed as “canceled.”

Why? Your guess is as good as anyone’s. At least one media outlet, Variety, notes that  ticket sales were weak .

Phew. At least Lopez will be in the state of Florida. The 54-year-old Bronx bombshell kicks off the tour June 26 in Orlando, at the Kia Center.

On June 28 and 29, she’s got two dates in Miami at the Kaseya Center downtown. While scrolling around on Thursday morning, we  found a couple of seats online going for as low as around $30 a pop, an absolute steal.

So now’s the time to buy if you want to go see a local stop of her This Is Me … Now Tour. Shows will feature a mix of Lopez’s old and new songs, some from her latest album, “This Is Me ... Now.”

It’s her first tour in five years, and a lot has changed in her life since “It’s My Party,” which wrapped in Miami in July 2019. Fans may recall that Lopez  was engaged to Alex Rodriguez at the time  and living in Coral Gables with him and their blended family.

The former Yankee slugger traveled to many of her gigs to cheer for his lady, a la Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. We have to wonder if her current husband, Ben Affleck, will tag along for this round.

Still scratching your head as to why Lopez may have wanted to bail on shows? It is worth noting that August is a big month for the Hollywood couple. Affleck’s 52nd birthday falls on the 15th, and their second wedding anniversary in Georgia is the 20th. So perhaps the lovebirds want a little private time to celebrate, instead of her working it onstage.

Don’t look for any answers just yet. JLo has yet to comment. Her last Instagram post for the tour was two weeks ago to announce that she added the second Miami date, as it was originally only supposed to be one, “due to popular demand.”
