Mexican Duo Los Temerarios Separate After Over 45 Years

Mexican grupero Los Temerarios are splitting. On Monday, the duo comprising brothers Adolfo and Gustavo Ángel — responsible for radio staples like “Ven Porque Te Necesito” and “Si Tú Te Vas” — revealed that the group will be separating after nearly 50 years.

“With the love that has united us since we were kids, the same that we feel for the vocation that we’ve had the privilege of working in for more than 46 years, we want to share that we’ve made the difficult decision of separating, closing one of the most important and gratifying cycles of our lives,” the duo said in a statement.

Los Temerarios went on to thank their fans who “generously embraced our music with their hearts,” along with the media and the collaborators as they described their romantic music’s purpose as one to “honor love, the magic, and mystery that unites us and gives life meaning.”

“Everything that we express from this moment on will be in the form of music and in our next shows where we’ll be giving you the best of us,” the statement concluded. Los Temerarios will officially split following the conclusion of a farewell “Hasta Siempre” tour, which is set to take them through November 2024, with stops in cities such as Oakland, New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, along with Mexico, Central, and South America in 2024.

Los Temerarios Announce Retirement After 46 Years & Final Tour

Say it isn’t so! Los Temerarios are officially retiring. The iconic Mexican band announced today (Aug. 28) they’re disbanding after more than 46 years together. They also revealed their last-ever Hasta Siempre Tour, with performances in 2023 and 2024.

“With the love that has united us since we were children, the same that we feel for the vocation that we’ve had the privilege of working in for more than 46 years, we want to share that we’ve made the difficult decision of separating, closing one of the most important and gratifying cycles of our lives,” they wrote on an Instagram post. They continue saying that they will offer their last concerts from September 2023 to November 2024, to thank the public for their affection.

“We are eternally grateful to our fans who have so generously welcomed our music in their hearts and have been the fuel and inspiration of our career,” they wrote. They also gave thanks to the media, promoters, and collaborators who have supported their project throughout the years. 

“Everything that we express from this moment on will be in the form of music and in our next shows where we’ll be giving you the best of us,” they concluded. 

Los Temerarios, from Fresnillo, Zacatecas, was formed by brothers Adolfo and Gustavo Ángel in 1977. Since then, the group cemented itself as one of the most popular Latine pop acts with a distinguished grupero sound. To this day, the emblematic group has received multiple prestigious awards, including the Excellence Award at the Premio Lo Nuestro 2005 and the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2010 Latin Billboard Music Awards. 

Before retiring, the group will close out their musical era with their last Hasta Siempre tour, which will embark in San Diego, CA, on Sep. 15. They will also perform in cities like Denver, Ontario, Miami, New York, and Anaheim. In 2024, they will continue the same tour with more dates in Mexico, Central America, and the U.S. Additional shows are to be announced soon.

Mexican 'música grupera' band Los Temerarios announced their separation after a 46-year career in which they became one of the biggest acts in the Latin popular music scene, both in Mexico and the US.

Founded in Fresnillo, a city in the central state of Zacatecas, Mexico, Los Temerarios said in a statement posted on their social networks that they decided to end a cycle, saying goodbye to their fans and announcing their farewell tour: 'Hasta Siempre.'

According to Los Temerarios founders, brothers Adolfo and Gustavo Alba, their last tour will take place between September 2023 and November 2024.

They detailed that there are dates already scheduled and that they will offer concerts in the US, Mexico and some Central and South American countries.

According to Billboard, Los Temerarios popularized the 'grupero' subgenre in Mexico and the US between the end of the 80s and during the 90s.

The band, says Billboard, had 41 nominations in its Hot Latin Songs chart, 17 of which were in the top 10.

Mexican singer-songwriter and producer Adolfo Ángel couldn’t help but shed a few tears during their concert in San Jose, Calif. earlier this month. After all, they had made their grand return to touring after a four-year hiatus, due to the pandemic shutdown. For an act like Los Temerarios , a touring titan, not being able to perform live was a big deal — according to Adolfo, who co-founded the iconic grupero/pop band along with his brother, its lead singer, Gustavo Ángel.

Their trek is not to be confused with the “nostalgia tours” that are creating a buzz in the industry, where once-disbanded bands come back together for a tour. Los Temerarios never stopped touring since it launched in the 80s. “Being able to tour is extremely important for us to this day,” Adolfo explains. “Ever since we were little kids, we’ve been planning this project. And touring is now part of our lives.”

Known for wistful, romantic anthems such as “Fueron Tus Palabras,” “Mi Vida Eres Tú,” Como Te Recuerdo” and “Tu Última Canción,” to name a few, Los Temerarios have soundtracked multigenerational homes in Mexico and the U.S. since releasing their first album in 1983. Overall, the group has notched 41 entries on Billboard ‘s Hot Latin Songs chart, 17 of which are top 10 hits, including four No. 1s.

Adolfo also notes that launching their own record label and publisher Virtus nearly 15 years ago (after spending a decade with Fonovisa, a division of Universal Music Latin Entertainment) has played a major role in their longevity. It’s one of the most important decisions, he says, that has allowed them to do things their way.

“At the beginning of our careers when we were looking for support from labels and executives, we weren’t well received. All we knew back then was that music was our life so we kept looking for options. I thank my brother Gustavo for always standing by my side and supporting all the decisions I made for the band. One day, we decided to launch our label, our publisher, and it was one of the best decisions we could ever make.”

Los Temerarios have always licensed their albums, keeping the rights to (and control over) the group’s masters. For now, they plan to keep it that way, and aren’t looking to sell their extensive catalog of songs written by Adolfo any time soon: “Fortunately, we’re at a good point and our fans are still there. We feel proud with how we’ve handled the business aspect.”

Taking to their social media on Monday, August 28th, the loved Mexican band’s members announced that they were separating after more than 46 years together. Their heartfelt statement read (loosely translated into English) “We want to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to separate musically, thus closing one of the most important and rewarding cycles of our lives.” Hence, the band’s upcoming Hasta Siempre tour will be their last one together. Below is everything you need to know about Los Temerarios’ 2023 and 2024 tour and tickets .

Los Temerarios’ 2023-2024 tour’s presale explored

The Mexican band’s 2023 and 2024 tour commences on September 15th in San Diego, California . It will go on for over a year and end in November 2024. Their final concert will be at Anaheim on November 23.

As per Ticketmaster, the band’s tickets will go on sale Wednesday, August 30th. However, there are a number of presale options going live ahead of the general sale.

All of the Los Temerarios presales including the Artist, SAP Center, Sharks365 Presale, and Official Platinum Presale take place on Tuesday, August 29 from 10:00 a.m. PDT to 10:00 p.m. PDT.

How much Los Temerarios’ tickets cost

While the tickets are yet to go on sale on Ticketmaster, fans can grab the early tickets on several third-party websites.

On Stubhub the 2023 tickets start at $89 at the time of writing. On the other hand, the 2024 passes $159.

Over on Vivid Seats, the 2023 tickets start at $88 and the 2024 ones begin at $112. On Seat Geek the tickets start at just $74.

What Is Los Temerarios’ Next and Final Tour?

Los Temerarios’ farewell tour will kick off in September 2023 with a run of shows along the west coast of the United States. Come October, they’ll play additional concerts in Miami, Fort Myers, and New York City.

In 2024, Los Temerarios will tour Mexico and South America, before returning to the US for shows in Phoenix, Austin, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, and beyond.

Additional tour dates in Guadalajara, Dallas, Seattle, and Portland, as well as in Chile, Bolivia, and Paraguay will be announced shortly.

Gustavo and Adolfo have shared the news that, after 46 years, they have made the "difficult decision to separate musically" and will complete their "last tour together with the same love and respect with which we have always done it."  Don't miss Los Temerarios for 2 nights in Houston in October 2024!

What is AXS Mobile ID?

With mobile ticketing through AXS, you’re able to keep your tickets securely stored in your AXS App until it’s time for your event and enter with a quick and simple scan. Easy!

How do I get the AXS App?

The AXS App is free to download and available in the App Store or Google Play. To login, use the same email address you used when purchasing your tickets. You can also download the Houston Rockets app to enter Toyota Center for events. 

How do I use the AXS App to enter the building?

• Open the AXS App
• From the “Home” screen tap the ticket icon at the bottom of the screen
• Login to your account entering the email address used to purchase the tickets
• (If you can’t remember your password, tap Forgot Password and follow the instructions sent to your email)
• Browse your upcoming events and tap the one you want to view
• Tap “View Barcode” and present QR code at the door to be scanned for entry to Toyota Center

How do I access my Parking pass?

Your parking pass for the Toyota Tundra garage will load like a ticket with a barcode to be scanned as you enter the garage.

Can I print my tickets?

AXS Mobile ID tickets are digital and cannot be printed for venue entry.

Are screenshots of the barcode valid for entry?

No, tickets must be scanned through the AXS App.

Can I have multiple tickets on one phone?

Yes. However, we recommend that you transfer tickets to each person attending the event.

What if I don’t have a smartphone?

Please bring a valid photo ID and the card you used to purchase the tickets to the Toyota Center box office.

How far in advance can I access my tickets?

Unless otherwise noted, tickets are accessible on the AXS app and ready to manage as soon as the purchase is complete. Ability to transfer and/or sell tickets varies by show and is subject to change.

What should I bring to an event?

• Wallet with photo ID
• The card you used to purchase your tickets

What if I need help on an event day?

Please visit the Toyota Center Box Office where one of our ticket resolutions associates will assist you.

How do I transfer tickets?

Transferring tickets allows you to send tickets electronically to anyone with a valid email address. Once the recipient logs in and accepts the tickets, they will be able to view the barcode.

• Tap the ticket icon at the bottom of the screen
• Tap "Transfer"
• Enter the recipients first & last name followed by their email address
• Tap 'Continue'
• Review the information and tap 'Transfer'

The recipient will receive an email with a link to download the AXS app and retrieve their tickets.

What is the venue Bag Policy?

Toyota Center encourages fans to travel light and not bring bags. Bags that are 5.5” x 8.5” or smaller will be screened through an expedited visual process. Bags that are larger than 5.5” x 8.5” but smaller than 14”x14” x 6” will be scanned through additional screening process and/or x-ray machines that will likely require a longer wait. Medical bags and parenting bags are permitted and are the only bags larger than 14” x 14” x 6” that will be allowed. Toyota Center does not allow any backpacks inside the building or any bags that are shaped like a backpack. This policy is subject to change at any time. 

If you choose to bring a bag that will not allowed inside the arena, there will be lockers on site for you to rent. Binbox lockers are located between the La Branch Street entrance and Team Shop. Pricing starts at $15.00 per checked bag which is non-refundable. Debit/credit and mobile payment, such as Apple or Google Pay, are acceptable forms of payment. No cash will be accepted. Toyota Center has a “No Re-Entry” policy for all events and bags will not be accessible during the event. Bag check opens the same time as arena doors for each event and closes 60 minutes post-event. Bags remaining after bag check closes will be returned to Lost & Found. Guests inquiring about Lost & Found items post-event should contact Toyota Center Guest Relations at 713-758-7230 or  [email protected]  . Toyota Center assumes no responsibility for lost items at any event.

The long-running Mexican Grupera group have announced the "difficult decision to separate musically"

Los Temerarios, the long-running Mexican Grupera band featuring brothers Adolfo Angel and Gustavo Angel, have announced the “difficult decision to separate musically, closing one of the most important and rewarding cycles of our lives.” As a result, their upcoming world tour will be their final outing.

“We are eternally grateful to our fans who have so generously welcomed our music into their hearts and who have been the engine and inspiration of our career,” the brothers said in a statement.

What Is Los Temerarios’ Next and Final Tour?

Los Temerarios’ farewell tour will kick off in September 2023 with a run of shows along the west coast of the United States. Come October, they’ll play additional concerts in Miami, Fort Myers, and New York City.

In 2024, Los Temerarios will tour Mexico and South America, before returning to the US for shows in Phoenix, Austin, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, and beyond.

Additional tour dates in Guadalajara, Dallas, Seattle, and Portland, as well as in Chile, Bolivia, and Paraguay will be announced shortly.

Wish we had a chance to get closer to them guys when they were playing,,we, me n the wife couldn't take pictures not even with them on the background,,cus we weren't allowed to stand on the isles for a sec ,just to take a picture!!

The greatest concert I have been to and I have been to a lot. I travel to Reno to see them because I missed the last two times they were in Dallas. I will be attend their next one that is close to Dallas, Texas.
