Eagles

Item added to your cart

The eagles announce “the long goodbye” – the band’s final tour.

"The Eagles have had a miraculous 52-year odyssey, performing for people all over the globe; keeping the music alive in the face of tragic losses, upheavals and setbacks of many kinds. Credit and thanks go to our longtime management team, our dedicated road crew, and our exceptional backup musicians for providing skilled and steadfast support, throughout these many years. We know how fortunate we are, and we are truly grateful. Our long run has lasted far longer than any of us ever dreamed. But, everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle. The official farewell tour is currently in the planning stages. We want to give all our fans a chance to see us on this final round.  So, scheduling information will be released as dates are set. The difficulties of booking venues for multiple nights may require us to return to certain cities, depending on demand.  But, we hope to see as many of you as we can, before we finish up. Most importantly, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for embracing this band and its music. At the end of the day, you are the reason we have been able to carry on for over five decades. This is our swan song, but the music goes on and on.”

With love and gratitude, The Eagles

After more than 50 years of touring, and consistently selling out arenas and stadiums worldwide, the Eagles will embark on their final tour, “The Long Goodbye”.

Presale tickets and VIP packages will be available starting Wednesday, July 12 for all announced shows. The general on-sale will start Friday, July 14 at 10:00 AM local time.

UConn Global

Experiential Global Learning

Allied health sciences, resources & contacts.

As an Allied Health Sciences major, you can:

  • Use Experiential Global Learning courses to meet General Education requirements, concentration requirements, Related Cognate Requirements, and/or electives
  • Participate in an internship abroad and gain real-world experience shadowing in the medical field Note: not all graduate health programs will count study abroad experience as meeting their patient contact hour requirements; students are encouraged to confirm with their anticipated graduate programs before engaging in the experience
  •  Use up to six credits of International Study in Allied Health courses (AH 2093 or AH 4093), Research credit, Independent Study credit, or Internship credit to fulfill related cognate requirements with advisor and department head approval
  • Pursue a minor/double major in Spanish

Allied Health Sciences students should prioritize speaking with their academic advisor early in their academic career about the best semester for them to go abroad. Flexibility regarding what courses Allied Health Sciences students may be able to take abroad and in what term they can go may vary depending on required course availability (not all courses are offered every semester), lab-based course sequencing, and their chosen plan or concentration within the major. Information regarding the concentrations within the major can be found on the Allied Health Sciences Major website .

When planning an experience abroad, be sure to keep in mind your electives, any extra credits you may be able to use to your advantage, as well as current and upcoming terms in your course of study. For students who have a strict course sequence to follow each semester, a summer or winter program might be a good option.

Graduate Health Program Requirements: Allied Health Sciences students should start planning early if they want to go abroad for a full semester. Certain courses (e.g. lab courses) taken abroad may not be accepted by graduate programs as meeting admissions requirements, so it is important to discuss those requirements with your academic advisor. Allied Health Sciences students should keep in mind that courses with laboratory components are typically not available abroad, and will likely have to be taken in residence at UConn. Pre-Med students should also consider the timing of when they will need to study for and take the M-CAT.

2024-25 Zachary H. Boyce Memorial Scholarship

2024-25 Zachary H. Boyce Memorial Scholarship **$2,200** Deadline: June 3rd, 2024

The Zachary H. Boyce Memorial Scholarship was established in his memory to further spread what he was accomplishing. Zachary attended the University of Washington but unexpectedly passed away in 2003. Zach (as he was known to others) was an Eagle Scout, a volunteer, a YMCA member, Youth in Government participant and camper, a son, a brother, a grandson, a cousin, a nephew, a friend and much, much more. He was a gentle giant of a young man, with a big heart, and an infectious grin that made folks wonder what he was up to. He was finding his way, his own way, and those who knew him were proud of how hard he was working to make things right. Zach’s totem was Raven, the bringer-of-light (and mischief maker), and his death will only slow down his effort to bring his version of life and fun to the world. Those of us he left behind will gladly carry on his mission. The enlightenment and joy Zach brought to the world shines on in the lives of those who knew him, and the people who know them. Zach would surely want us to remind the folks we care about that we love them.
