How to apply for an Australia Visitor Visa from Fiji with us

Fiji Immigration

Visa & visitors permit.

VISA is issued to citizens from non exempted countries for up to 4 months or period granted for other purposes. Ensure your application is approved prior to your travel.

Visitors Permit is applicable to citizens of visa exempted countries and is issued on arrival. Please refer to list of VISA exempted countries here.

Eligibility for New Applications

• All documents must be submitted as per documentary requirements.
• Sufficient funds to sustain the duration of stay.
• Confirmed return air ticket.
• Confirmed accommodation.
• VISA and Visitor Permit is valid for up to 4 months
• Your application must be approved before you travel.

This applies to the following:

• Citizens from Non visa exempted countries.
• Apply 3 months before your planned travel date.
• Application must be made by persons over 18 years of age.
• The Department reserves all rights to acquire additional documents for further verification, as and when required.
• Where a question in a particular section does not apply to you, please put N/A.
• Providing false information in this application can lead to imprisonment or a fine or both.
• Proof of approved visa.
• Have the required visa (where applicable) to the next country of visit after Fiji and will leave on or before the end of the authorized period of stay.
• Employment is prohibited if you are on a Visitor Visa.
• Applicant will be required to pay the applicable application fee.

Documentary Requirements

Holiday Purpose (Family/Friends/Hotel) – [Up to an Initial 4 Months Stay]

• Completed Visitors Visa Application form
• Certified copy of the passport (Bio Data page)
• Two (02) recent passport size photos. photographs less than 6 months old (3), good quality color, full-face view of your head and shoulders, and taken against a plain or light-colored background.
• Confirmation of pre-booked hotel (if accommodated at hotel)
• A copy of travel itinerary/ticket
• Proof of approved visa and onward ticket [if applicant is traveling to another country needing a visa]
• Proof of funds to sustain the duration of stay (e.g., recent bank statement/Visa cards)
• Local sponsor letter (if accommodated with family/friends)
• Copy of sponsor valid ID/passport/permit
• Consent letter from spouse (if traveling alone)
• Consent letter from parents (for 18 years and under) and traveling alone
• Proof of relationship with traveling companion (marriage certificate/birth certificates)
• Leave approved letter

Transiting Purpose [From 3 Hrs to 72 Hrs Stay]

• Certified copy of passport (Bio data page)
• Two (02) recent passport size photos
• Proof of onward ticket to the next destination and another outward ticket if traveling out of that destination
• Proof of approved visa/permit for the next destination

Business/Training/Workshop Purpose 24(g) [Up to 14 Days Stay]

• Two (02) passport size photos
• Sponsor letter if a local company/organization is sponsoring to indicate the undertaking person for the duration of his period
• Letterhead with specific subject [single entry or multiple entry visa]
• Purpose of visit
• Outline of business/workshop/training to be undertaken
• Intended duration of stay
• Location of undertaking [where will the business/workshop/training take place]
• A copy of the travel itinerary/ticket

Fishing Agencies (Crew/Seaman) – [Up to 30 Days Stay]

• Certified copy of the passport (Bio data page)
• Location of undertaking
• A copy of the travel itinerary/ticket if joining the vessel in another destination
• Apply 3 months before your planned travel.
• Complete the prescribed Application for a Visitor Visa for Fiji.
• Submit photographs less than 6 months old (3), good quality color, full-face view of your head and shoulders, and taken against a plain or light-colored background.
• Submit proof of funds to sustain the duration of stay.
• Submit a copy of the confirmed return air ticket.
• Submit confirmation of accommodation.
• Submit translated certified copies of all non-English documents in English (registered translator).
• Single Entry Fees ($95.10)
• Multiple Entry Fees (FJ$189.15)

Fiji is an archipelago of more than 300 islands in the South Pacific, which draws millions of visitors each year for its luxurious resorts, sandy beaches, and tropical climate.

If not eligible to travel to Fiji visa-free, you must apply for a Fiji visitor visa, prior to traveling to Fiji. Foreign nationals from the following countries, traveling to Fiji for tourism or other short-term purposes, must apply for a Fiji visa, before their intended trip to Fiji:

Rep.), Costa Rica, Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Djibouti, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Guatemala, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Honduras, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger, North Korea, North Macedonia, Oman, Pakistan, Palestinian Territories, Panama, Qatar, Rwanda, San Marino, Sao Tome and Principe, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Somalia, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Suriname, Syria, Tajikistan, Timor-Leste, Togo, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Viet Nam, and Yemen.

The Fiji tourist visa is issued as either a single-entry visa valid for 3 months, or as a multiple entry visa valid for 12 months, allowing a maximum 4-month stay each visit to Fiji.

Fiji Tourist Visa Requirements

Foreign citizens applying for a Fiji tourist visa should meet the following requirements:

A passport valid for 6 months from the date of arrival into Fiji and a certified copy of the passport bio data page.

A filled out and signed Fiji visa application form .

Two recent colored passport size photos.

An airline ticket or travel itinerary proving departure from Fiji.

Hotel reservations or proof of lodging in Fiji.

Proof of funds during stay in Fiji, such as bank statements or valid credit cards.

A letter from the Fiji local citizen or organization sponsoring the applicant, detailing the visit, duration, and Fiji sponsor’s information.

Please note that certain applicants may be asked to provide additional information than those listed above, such as birth certificates, invitations, or consent letters, in the case of minors.

Foreign nationals applying for a Fiji tourist visa should follow these steps:

Fill out a Fiji visa application form with requested information.

Contact your nearest Fiji embassy or consulate to check whether you are required to make an appointment. If so, set an appointment.

o Submit the Fiji visa application form and all required documents at your nearest Fiji embassy or foreign mission. o Pay the Fiji visa application fees. o If the application is complete, it will be sent to the Fiji Immigration Departmnet for processing and approval.

o Retrieve your Fiji visa from the Fiji embassy or representation office where you applied. o Confirm all information is correct and matches your passport.

To further Fiji’s digital transformation plan, foreign applicants can now apply and make appointments online through the Fiji Immigration Department website .

A Fiji single-entry visa costs 95.10 FJ$, and a multiple-entry Fiji visa costs 189.15 FJ$.

Foreign applicants can apply for a Fiji tourist visa at the nearest Fiji embassy, consulate, or foreign mission abroad. It can be applied for online through the Fiji Immigration Department portal .

Fiji visas normally take 14 days to be fully processed and issued. However, processing times may vary due to exigent circumstances. It is important for travelers to apply for their visa as early as possible to avoid any unforeseen delays.

Approved Fiji tourist visas can be collected from the Fiji embassy, consulate, or foreign mission where you applied. You should verify that all visa information is correct and matches your passport.

Foreign travelers, who wish to extend their Fiji visa, should apply to the Fiji Immigration Department before their Fiji visa expires.

Foreign nationals from over 110+ countries can travel to Fiji visa-free for tourism purposes and stay for up to 4 months in Fiji.

Fiji visas normally take 14 days, from the date the immigration office receives the Fiji visa application, to be fully processed and issued. If your Fiji visa applications is incomplete or you are requested to provide additional information, then your Fiji visa application may take longer to be fully processed and issued.
