Costa Deliziosa is ready to depart on her world cruise. The Costa world tour will explore 52 destinations on 4 continents in 128 days, crossing 3 oceans, with an unprecedented itinerary.

The new year has brought the Costa Around the World Cruise , Costa’s most beloved cruise for travel enthusiasts, back. The Italian cruise line was among the first companies to offer this exceptional voyage, since the 1970s. For its 2023 edition Costa Cruises is offering a very special itinerary.

On January 6, 2023, guests will set sail aboard Costa Deliziosa in Trieste, and return on May 13, 2023, for an unforgettable 128-day voyage . From the Mediterranean to the Arabian Peninsula, sailing east to India and the Maldives, then heading south to Madagascar and South Africa, and crossing the Atlantic Ocean to Brazil. Then, again heading south to Ushuaia, Argentina, at the extremity of the continent, sailing through the Beagle Channel and up the Pacific side, from Chile to Panama, visiting Central America and New York, then returning to Europe. A total of 52 destinations to discover on four continents , crossing three oceans .

The voyage is a dream that comes true for all travelers and cruise enthusiasts, who will be able to enjoy a unique experience of almost four months, following in the footsteps of history’s great navigators to discover fantastic cultures and landscapes.

About 2,000 guests have booked a cabin on the Around the World cruise 2023. They come from 40 different countries , with a predominance of French (about 500), Italians and Germans (about 360 and about 340, respectively), Swiss (about 160), Spanish (about 140) and Austrians (just under 100). The oldest traveler, French, is 94 years old, while the youngest is Austrian, aged 6 years.

Costa Deliziosa is one of the most enchanting ships in the Costa fleet. On board, the entertainment program will be characterized according to the destinations, to always offer a local touch. In fact, the rich party program includes not only the great classics such as ‘White Night’ or ‘Masquerade Night,’ but also ‘Bollywood Night,’ ‘Tropical Party,’ ‘Brazilian Party,’ and ‘Arabian Night.’

The Around the World 2023 itinerary includes fascinating destinations such as Cyprus, Israel, Jordan, India, Maldives, Seychelles, Madagascar, Reunion, South Africa, Namibia, St. Helena Island, Brazil, Tierra del Fuego, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Mexico, the United States, the Azores Islands, and Morocco.  The special feature of this cruise will also be the possibility of extended calls in several of the destinations visited, such as Mumbai (India), Maldives (Maldives), Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth and Cape Town (South Africa), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Buenos Aires and Ushuaia (Argentina), Santiago de Chile, Colon (Panama), New York (USA), Lisbon and the Azores Islands (Portugal).

Costa Launches 2022-2023 Cruise Program

Costa Cruises has launched its April 2022 to April 2023 cruise program, with itineraries now available to book.

Among the highlights, May 2022 will see the debut of the new Costa Toscana in the Mediterranean, offering one-week cruises to discover Italy, France and Spain, with a long call in Ibiza.

The Costa Smeralda will also offer week-long cruises in the western Mediterranean. The Costa Pacifica will also be in the Western Mediterranean, sailing to Italy, France and Spain.

In all Mediterranean ports, the Italian brand will offer its new “longest ever” excursion, visiting places that are difficult to reach for guests. Onboard dining will be enriched by a further renewed food experience, the company said, with an offer of dishes linked to the destinations and signed by a Michelin starred chef.

Costa said it will have three ships sailing week-long cruises in the Eastern Mediterranean The Costa Deliziosa will sail to the Greek islands; the Costa Luminosa will visit Greek islands and Croatia, andthe  Costa Magica will visit Greece and Malta.

Four ships will be cruising in Northern Europe. The Costa Fortuna will offer two-week cruises to Iceland, or alternatively to Ireland, Scotland and England. The Costa Favolosa and Costa Diadema will sail one-week cruises to the Baltic capitals, calling for three days at Stockholm and two in St. Petersburg, and in the Norwegian fjords. The Costa Fascinosa’s program includes 12-day itineraries up to the North Cape and nine-day sailings in the Baltic Sea.

The 2022-2023 winter season will include the return of the company’s grand voyages onboard Costa Luminosa including two 50-day holidays, from Genoa to Buenos Aires and from Buenos Aires to Genoa, going up the Amazon River.

There is also the Costa Deliziosa World Tour, departing on Jan. 11 2023 from Savona, which will visit Europe, Asia, Africa and America.

The Costa Magica will offer two-week cruises to the Canary Islands and the Azores, whilethe  Costa Diadema visits Greece and Turkey, or Israel and Egypt.

The Costa Smeralda will continue to sail in the Western Mediterranean for the winter, joined in the autumn also the Costa Luminosa and Costa Fortuna, offering mini-holidays for a relaxing break of a few days.

Also, in the fall, the Costa Fascinosa will visit Portugal and Spain, and the Costa Favolosa will sail to Morocco.

The company said it will soon announce its Middle East and Caribbean programs, as well as its South America deployment.

Costa Cruises announces new itineraries for 2022-2023 season

Costa Cruises announced new Mediterranean itineraries from April 2022 through April 2023, which are now available for booking.

In all Mediterranean ports, the “longest ever” shore excursion will be offered, visiting sites hard to reach on your own. Costa's onboard experience will also be enriched by a renewed food experience, with dishes linked to the destinations visited and signed by a Michelin-starred chef.

Costa's 2022 summer season will be focused on the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.

May 2022 will see the debut of Toscana offering week-long sailings to discover France, Italy, and Spain, with a long port call in Ibiza .

The sistership Smeralda will also sail on one-week voyages in the western Mediterranean. Smeralda and Toscana are the first ships in the fleet powered by LNG (liquefied natural gas) .

Pacifica is the other Costa ship to sail in the western Mediterranean with a range of itineraries dedicated to locations in France, Italy, and Spain.

In the eastern Mediterranean, 3 other ships will operate with week-long itineraries. Deliziosa will offer Greek island sailings, with a whole day and night call in Mykonos, while Luminosa is scheduled to visit Greek islands and Croatia, Costa Magica - Greece and Malta.

4 Costa ships will be sailing in Northern Europe. Costa Fortuna will offer 2-week cruises to Iceland, or alternatively to England, Ireland, and Scotland. Costa Diadema and Costa Favolosa will leave for week-long cruises, respectively in the Norwegian fjords, and in the Baltic capitals, calling 3 days at Stockholm, Sweden and 2 in Saint Petersburg . Costa Fascinosa will sail on 12-day itineraries up to the North Cape and in the Baltic Sea.

The 2022-2023 winter season includes the return of the Grand Cruises aboard Luminosa: a pair of 50-day vacations, from Genoa to Buenos Aires and the reverse, going up the Amazon River.

Costa Deliziosa World Tour is departing on January 11, 2023, from Savona , and will visit Europe, Asia, Africa, America.

Also part of the program are exotic destinations with a week-long itinerary in the UAE, Oman and Qatar, and 3 different week-long itineraries in the Caribbean islands. New South America opportunities will be shortly announced.

Costa Magica will offer 2-week cruises to the Canaries and the Azores, while Costa Diadema will visit Greece & Turkey, or Israel & Egypt.

Smeralda continues to sail in the western Mediterranean, joined in autumn by Fortuna and Luminosa, offering mini-cruises for a break of a few days. Costa Fascinosa will visit Spain and Portugal, while Costa Favolosa will visit Morocco.

The prize money will be setting new records and the AASP will be crowning more adaptive world champions. After all the AASP Champions are crowned the AASP will celebrate with a bonus stop at the Waco Surf Wave Pool for all the champions to surf for a two day event. 

In 2023 The second year of the Visit Oceanside Adaptive Surfing Professionals World Championship Tour added a third stop to the tour, the Costa Rica Open Pro of Adaptive Surfing in beautiful Costa Rica at the amazing surf break Boca Barranca. The three-stop world tour was able to award a combined prize pool purse of just over $104,000 dollars to adaptive surfers from around the world.

The two-event tour kicked off in June of 2022 at the AccesSurf Hawaii Adaptive Surfing Championships hosting 100 adaptive surfers from 17 countries, giving away a record $36,000 dollars in prize money and the first points towards an overall adaptive surfing professionals world championship. The final leg of the AASP World Tour ended in Oceanside California on September 8th-11th at the U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championships, where the U.S. Open ASC awarded a prize pool purse of $29,000 with the AASP Points winners splitting a $32,000 dollar prize pool purse
