Resurrection Fest Announces Over 80 Bands for 2023 Lineup – Ghost, Slipknot, Pantera + More

It doesn't get much bigger than this is you're a hard rock and metal fan. Spain's Resurrection Fest has announced a massive lineup of bands for 2023, headlined by Ghost , Slipknot and the Pantera celebration.

A who's who of hard rock and metal will be descending upon Estrella Galicia in Vivero, Spain the weekend of June 28-July 1 2023. In total, over 80 bands have now confirmed their participation over the four-day weekend.

The Resurrection Fest, often referred to as "Resu," has continued to build its audience since its 2006 debut, showcasing the best in metal, rock, hardcore and punk. This year may be their best lineup to date, with the aforementioned Ghost, Slipknot and Pantera all topping the bill.

Other top acts booked for 2023 include Papa Roach, Architects, Alter Bridge, Powerwolf, Behemoth, The Ghost Inside, Fever 333, Motionless in White and Lacuna Coil.

Organizers have also revealed Meshuggah, Amaranthe, Carpathian Forest, Perturbator, Belphegor, Blind Channel, Sleep Token, Vended, Born of Osiris, Butcher Babies, Dead by April, Evile, Nervosa, Orbit Culture, Man With a Mission, Wind Rose, Nothing More, Imperial Triumphant, Baest, As Everything Unfolds, Brothers Till We Die, Megara, Diabulus in Musica, Morphium, Ktulu, Cemican, Dark Embrace and Lampr3a.

Other newly announced acts include Hatebreed, Black Flag, Desakato (Cira de Despedida), Kadavar, Madball, Rise of the Northstar, H20, Attila, Employed to Serve, Kublai Khan TX, Wargasm (U.K.), Ghostkid, Landmvrks, Harm's Way, Jesus Piece, Lion's Law, Slope, Polar, Paledusk, Spirit World, Escuela de Odio, Me Fritos and the Gimme Cheetos, Oscuro Culto, Corrosive and Youcanthide.

Plus, you'll also get sets from Alcest, Amenra, Mono, Coven, Lucifer, Brutus, 1000 Mods, Hallas, The Inspector Cluzo, Sylvaine, Konvent, Dvne, Sangre de Muerdago, Steak, Exxasens, Florence Black, Deleiba, Rosy Finch, Rodeo, The Baboon Show, Parasite Inc. and Evil Impulse.

Resurrection Fest announces its impressive line-up for 2024  

Resurrection Fest Estrella de Galicia 2024 , Chapter XIX, is now a reality, and a good portion of its lineup for the next edition has been confirmed.

Among the confirmed acts for Resurrection Fest Estrella de Galicia 2024 , the presence of bands such as AVENGED SEVENFOLD , the British group BAD OMENS , who will be performing in Spain for the first time, and the legendary hard rock star Alice Cooper stand out. Additionally, bands like COMEBACK KID , ELECTRIC CALLBOY , THE OFFSPRING , BRING ME THE HORIZON , and MEGADETH complete the lineup. Bruce Dickinson , the iconic singer of IRON MAIDEN , needs no introduction. He will be presenting his latest solo album, “The Mandrake Project.”

For the first time in Viveiro, one of the most requested bands by the devoted audience of the Resurrection Fest will perform: MACHINE HEAD . The American band will return to Spain after a successful tour with AMON AMARTH in 2022.

The best of the national bands could not be missing from this edition of the festival. BELLAKO , SONS OF AGUIRRE & SCILA , ANKOR , and the legendary LENDAKARIS MUERTOS will all be performing in Viveiro this year.

The nineteenth edition, Resurrection Fest Estrella Galicia , will be held once again on June 26th, 27th, 28th, and 29th in Viveiro, Lugo, Galicia.

I've lost my dear friend, my Raider buddy, and the music world has lost a guitar icon.

Drake and I met over 50 years ago in Nampa, Idaho. He was a city boy from Chicago, and I was a city boy from Los Angeles. Our families transplanted us to the farmlands of Idaho, where we became fast and loyal friends, and aspiring musicians. I had just got a guitar for Christmas (1959) from my parents, and Drake and I set out to conquer the world with our music. Although we weren't sure how we were going to do that, we had a dream that some day it would happen. Five years later, the dream was happening. Drake and I were filming a TV show with Dick Clark called "Where The Action Is." Some of the guests artists were Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons, Jan & Dean, The Supremes, Bobby Rydell and Frankie Avalon. These artists were already well on their way to super stardom, and our little rock band, Paul Revere & the Raiders, was now riding the same "glory train" with them and the adventure of a lifetime had just started for me and Drake. Several national tours followed, along with 5 gold albums and 12 hit singles, before Drake, Smitty and I broke out on our own to form The Brotherhood, who produced 3 albums for RCA Victor. The last tour Drake, Smitty and I did together for the Raiders in March-April of 1967 was a massive success. We played almost every major arena in the country, and on many occasions had double-billing with The Beachboys & the Rolling Stones. Our music dreams that Drake & I had formed way back in the farmlands of Idaho, surrounded by sugar beet fields, corn fields, and golden fields of wheat & barley, had come to pass – we were actually living the dream. We were "brothers" in music, and The Brotherhood was a natural transition after the Raiders broke up. It was always our resolve to write music that would promote peace, love and unity in the world. We wanted to create music that had a real positive message. Drake and I became a very prolific songwriting team. At the end of that last Raider tour, I got a phone call from home that my older brother George had just died in Viet Nam. Drake was the first person I told, and he held on to me while I broke down in tears. He was a true and loyal friend. Drake always considered my family his "second family" because he spent more time at my place then anywhere else. George had helped him learn to play guitar, and because of our close friendship Drake was more or less "adopted" into our family When my mom passed away in 2006, he shed so many tears as if it was his own mom. I've always appreciated how much love Drake had for my brothers and sisters and my parents. We all will miss him greatly, as we do "Smitty" who we lost in 2001.

Drake leaves behind his loving and loyal wife Sandra of 37 years, his mom Charle, his brother Jeff, his sister Lori, and his two sons David and Darby. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them in their time of grief.

Drake Maxwell Levin also leaves us a stunning and soulful legacy of music as one of the seminal pioneers of some awesome rock & roll music and some of the most memorable guitar solos during the "glory days" of the 1960's.

One of my last conversations with Drake at the hospital in San Francisco was awkward and difficult. It's hard to know what to say when you know you won't see your buddy again, (that is, until the New World and the resurrection that Jesus promised in the Bible) I finally mustered the courage to say: "...alright my brother, I'll see you down the road..." I heard him say as I walked from the room, holding back the tears: "I'll be waitin' for ya..."

"It's humbling to be involved in the show that's close to 13 years old (and) see it grow over the years," Lovelady said. "I've been doing this for years ... and I've never see the excitement I've seen this year toward the festival."

What artists will perform?

According to the event's website, the headliners for the 2024 Gulf Coast Jam are Parker McCollum, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson and Morgan Wallen.

Other artists slated to perform include Shane Smith & the Saints, Priscilla Block, Chase Matthew, Corey Kent, Kidd G, Austin Snell, Sadie Bass, John Morgan, Heartland, Peytan Porter, Deana Carter, Shelby Darrall and Chandler Flint.

"We sold out last year, so it should be about the same as last year," Lovelady said of this year's festival. "It's exciting to see multiple years sell out. I wish we had more land. We could (sell) more tickets, but we really (are) just at capacity with Gulf Coast Jam."

Shakira Announces Upcoming Tour During Surprise Performance With Bizarrap at Coachella 2024

Shakira has a big announcement!

The 47-year-old singer hit the stage for a surprise performance with Bizarrap at the 2024 Coachella Music and Arts Festival on Friday (April 12) in Indio, Calif.

Shakira and Bizarrap played their hit songs “La Fuerte” and “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53″ during the set.

The “Hips Don’t Lie” artist also surprised the audience with a major announcement!

While onstage, Shakira shared that she will be going on tour beginning in late 2024!

“Finally we’re going on tour — starting here, in November!” she exclaimed. “Starting here, this November, in this city! Can’t wait!”

The announcement comes on the heels of Shakira ‘s new album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran , which she released on March 22.

It’s her 12th studio album and first since 2017′s El Dorado . In 2018, Shakira went on her El Dorado Tour for the aforementioned album.

Country music fans planning a beach vacation in 2024 should book their accommodations now for June 20-23.

The Barefoot Country Music Fest will be held that weekend in Wildwood, New Jersey, with sun, sand, the sea and superstars.

Fans can enjoy headliners Luke Bryan, Kane Brown, Old Dominion and Keith Urban - and more than 40 artists on five stages.

Pa.’s own Bret Michaels will be there as will Bailey Zimmerman, Scotty McCreery, Oliver Anthony, Jake Owen, The Beach Boys, Nate Smith, Niko Moon, Hailey Whitters, The War and Treaty, Rodney Atkins, Colt Ford, Alana Springsteen, Mackenzie Porter, Bryan Martin, Conner Smith, Gavin Adcock, John Eddie, Kylie Morgan, Redferrin, Davisson Brothers Band, Greylan James, Taylor Austin Dye, Graham Barham, Aidan Canfield, Avery Anna, Sadie Bass, Owen Riegling, Gillian Smith, Mara Justine, Dillon James and Nolan Quinn.

Tickets are on sale now. Fans can buy them from the  festival website  or from  Stubhub ,  Vivid Seats ,  SeatGeek  and  Ticketmaster.

Single day, multiple-day and parking passes are available.

Coachella 2024: Lineup, daily schedule, ticket info, how to watch festival livestream

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival returns this weekend at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

The 23rd installment of the festival will see artists such as Lana Del Rey , Doja Cat and Tyler, the Creator headline, in addition to performances from Ice Spice, Sublime, Peso Pluma, Deftones, and Lil Yachty, among others. Gwen Stefani and No Doubt will also reunite onstage for the first time in nearly a decade.

The festival is set to be held on the weekends of April 12-14 and April 19-21. Passes for the first weekend are sold out, however passes for the second weekend are still available.

How to watch Coachella 2024 on TV, livestream

This year's festival will air exclusively on YouTube , according to the company's official blog.

The stream will begin Friday, April 12 at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET with six live stream stages and "all new multi-view for TV screens," YouTube said.

"With performances captured for all screens, plus exclusive merchandise, behind-the-scenes content on Shorts, interviews, photos, and more, our 2024 lineup is giving global music fans the ultimate all access pass from afar," the company wrote in its blog.

Fans can tune in on their smartphones, TVs or computers on Coachella's YouTube channel .

Coachella 2024 lineup schedule

Lana Del Rey is set to headline the festivities on both Fridays, April 12 and 19, along with performances from Peso Pluma, Lil Uzi Vert, Bizarrap, Deftones, Everything Always, and more.

Tyler, the Creator will be the Saturday headliner both weekends and will be joined by likes of Ice Spice, Sublime, Grimes, Jon Batiste, and Dom Dolla, among others.

Doja Cat will be the Sunday headliner both weekends and will be joined by J Balvin, Jhené Aiko, Khruangbin, and DJ Snake, among others.

Coachella 2024 passes

Passes for the first weekend of Coachella are sold out, according to the festival's website, however you can still purchase passes for the second weekend .

General admission passes are on sale for $499 plus fees, while general admission passes with shuttle access are going for $619 plus fees. VIP passes are listed for $1,069 plus fees.
