Your guide to Phoenix
If you're staying downtown, the light rail and a good pair of walking shoes can handle your transportation needs. If you want to venture further, however, the best way to conquer this sprawling city is with your own set of wheels. Of course, taxis and rideshare services are also available.
If you want to make the most of Phoenix, the only time of year to travel is November through March. Temperatures from winter into early spring hover in the fairly comfortable 70s°F, meaning you can take full advantage of all the outdoor fun on offer. By April, things will be starting to get seriously hot, with temperatures of 106°F being fairly common. That kind of heat is not for the faint of heart.
Phoenix can really dry you out, so protect against that blistering heat by packing lip balm and lots of sunscreen. Oh, and a refillable water bottle-you'll definitely need it. You should also bring:
- Moisturizer: Repeated moisturizer application is just one Phoenix hydration ritual. But putting this stuff on has never felt as good as it does here. Ah, precious moisture.
- A hat: Keep that face of yours fresh by staving off those dangerous rays with a hat with a peak or a wide brim.
- A good camera: If you're going to the Grand Canyon, or exploring any of the other stunning landscapes around Phoenix, a phone camera just won't cut it.

Airplane Boneyard Tours
Visiting large boneyards in the western u.s..
Located in Arizona, California and New Mexico are seven major airplane boneyards, each in dry, low-humidity desert environments and offering long runways and extensive storage areas.
Virtually all airplane boneyards and storage facilities are limited access sites.
Boneyards typically do not allow visitors and do not provide tours.
We encourage potential visitors to check with individual sites to learn about access policies and tours.
Shown below is a list of these boneyard facilities ... click the facility name for visitor & tour information.
As always, we recommend obeying all warning signs and avoiding restricted areas.

The Pinal Airpark has limited availability for tours, as it is an operational airport. Please contact Christina M. Martinez at (520) 866-6448 or email [email protected] for information/tour questions.
Regarding photography at the Pinal Airpark: If you are on the public side of the airpark, photography is permitted. If you are on the Airside being escorted or on a tour you are asked not to, unless you are told you may. The reason is that many planes are missing engines or other recognizable parts, and some of the owners or operators of those aircraft have asked that people not take pictures because the planes are not in a good condition. It is asked that people respect the wishes of those owners and operators.
For more information, visit the website of the Pinal County Airpark and/or tenant companies and government agencies for current information on access.

Last month, Twenty One Pilots returned with news of “Clancy” and released the album’s lead single “Overcompensate” alongside an accompanying official music video directed by Reel Bear Media. How Twenty One Pilots conquered the world with 'Blurryface'
Having amassed more than 33 billion streams worldwide with more than three million tickets sold across global headlining tours, the Columbus, Ohio-based duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun have established themselves among the most successful bands of the 21st century and redefined the sound of a generation.
Co-produced by Joseph and Paul Meany, “Clancy” marks the final chapter in an ambitious multi-album narrative first introduced in the band's 2015 multi-Platinum breakthrough, “Blurryface.” The release of “Clancy” on May 17 coincides with the ninth anniversary of “Blurryface.”
Twenty One Pilots extended the ambitious concept laid out in “Blurryface” with their 2018 platinum album “Trench.” Featuring “Chlorine,” “My Blood” and the Grammy-nominated “Jumpsuit,” the album graced spots on “Best of” year-end lists by Billboard, KERRANG!, Alternative Press and Rock Sound, which ranked it No. 1.
The duo’s 2021 epic “Scaled And Icy” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Rock Albums and Alternative Albums charts while landing at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, marking the biggest opening week for a rock album in 2021. The record is highlighted by the No. 1 Alternative Radio hits “The Outside,” “Saturday,” and “Shy Away."
That last song scaled the top at the format in just three weeks, placing the duo in an elite group of acts with multiple songs to rise to No. 1 at the format in three weeks or less, including U2, R.E.M., the Cure, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters.
