There are no change or cancellation fees on most of our fares, except Blue Basic. Blue Basic fares are subject to a change/cancel fee of $100 for travel within North America, Central America, or the Caribbean, or $200 for all other routes. Fare difference and fare rules on date of change apply.

How do I recognize fare options in the GDS?

What is the GDS format if I want to purchase the lowest Refundable fare for a Corporate Customer?

Note: Sabre recommends against using ‡XP since it searches for fares without a penalty fee filed but that doesn’t necessarily mean the fare is going to be refundable.  Sabre recommends: WPMPR-ANY‡AC*CORPID‡NC

If you make an involuntary or voluntary itinerary change then all associated EMDs and AE must be refunded, as EMDs are not exchangeable. If the customer still wishes to purchase the ancillary on the new itinerary then a new EMD should be issued. If the itinerary does not change then all paid EMDs are non-refundable and the travel agent will be issued a debit memo for improperly refunded EMDs. If the customer purchased the ancillary at jetblue.com and an involuntary or voluntary itinerary change is made then they must  contact JetBlue  by chat or phone to process the EMD refund and issue a new one.

Will contracted Corporate Discounts still apply to the new fares?

Yes, any corporate traveler receiving a contracted JetBlue discount will continue receiving their discount across all Fare Options.

Can Nonrefundable fare options be refunded back to the original form of payment?

No, when changing or canceling a ticket booked with a nonrefundable fare, the residual value must remain in a JetBlue credit.

Do these options apply to the original ticket only, or do they carry over to any exchanged subsequent ticket?

SSR will carry over to your new and exchanged ticket since our exchange rules (CAT31) require the same fare type as on the original ticket. For example, if you purchased Blue Plus, all subsequent changes will be to another Blue Plus fare even if you’ve cancelled your trip and left your ticket in OPEN status. A Blue Plus ticket can only be exchanged/reissued for another Blue Plus ticket in the GDS.

Can I combine these fare options on a roundtrip or end-on-end basis?

Our combination rules allow travel agencies to combine some different fare options on the outbound and inbound portion of an itinerary.  In order to combine fares, the change and cancellations rule must be the same. So, for instance, Blue Basic is not combinable with other fare options due to its differing change/cancel policy.

In addition, end-on-end combinations, although technically possible if the travel agent is pricing each segment individually, are not permitted. The same fare option must apply to the entire direction.

Does this generate an EMD?

Each option is tied to a unique Brand ID with features built into the fare rule filings. A separate document is not generated, but specific SSR codes are added to your E-Ticket.

Are Even More Space seats included in one of these options?

No, Even More Space remains a standalone product available for purchase via jetblue.com or the GDS.

Why should i sell private flights to my clients.

Private flying offers an un-rivaled luxury travel experience and brings with it immense peace of mind. Private Air Carriers communicate better and more directly than Commercial carriers and they are in the business of providing a white glove experience to both you and your client. The combination of convenience, luxury, and peace of mind will be well worth it to you and your discerning clients. Not to mention, as a high ticket item, the commissions are quite nice too!

How do I book a private flight?

The process is simple! First, sign up for an account with LatitudeGo. Then, browse the selection of flights until you find the one you like, and press submit to request the booking. Our system and team will verify the flight details and secure your payment deposit. Then you are booked!

What happens if I want to add another passenger at the last minute?

As long as there is a seat and the plane can safely handle the additional weight of the person and their luggage, then there is no issue! The amount of fuel and landing distance smaller aircraft require are heavily effected by weight though, so be sure to double check with the operator. However, there should not be any additional cost as you have booked the whole plane when you pay for a charter flight.

Do you pay commissions to advisors?

Yes, LatitudeGo pays commissions on all flights booked by travel advisors. The commission rate varies between 2.5% and 4% depending on the subscription plan the advisor has. We offer subscription plans starting as low as $9.98 per month up to $99.99 per month.

Are there hidden fees in private aviation?

The prices quoted on LatitudeGo’s platform are intended to be as all-inclusive as possible. However, there are times when a client request or circumstances beyond the operators’ control may dictate additional service fees such as Catering, Ground Transportation, In-Flight Diversions or Route Changes, and cold weather de-icing requirements. Each operator has their own contract of carriage which they abide by and which outlines which additional fees may be applicable to a flight. These situations are few and far between.

Diddy’s Private Jet Goes Off Radar After Being Traced to Antigua Amid Armed Agents’ Raids on His L.A. and Miami Homes

When federal agents were raiding the Los Angeles and Miami homes of Sean “Diddy” Combs on Monday, March 25, the disgraced music mogul was nowhere in sight. Left to face the law enforcement personnel searching the L.A. home were his sons, Justin , 30, and Christian , 25, while Diddy’s private jet apparently had left the country.

The search by federal agents with Homeland Security Investigations was conducted in connection to allegations of sex trafficking , sexual assault, and involvement in the solicitation and distribution of illegal narcotics and firearms. The warrant for the raid originated from the Southern District of New York, NBC News reports.

While multiple men were detained and placed in handcuffs on Diddy’s properties, noticeably missing was the 54-year-old music exec himself. In an attempt to solve the mystery of Diddy’s whereabouts, an X user began tracking a $60 million blacked-out Gulfstream G550 jet .

Using flight tracking software, the X user by the name of @mvz77dallas was able to locate Diddy’s aircraft, tail number N1969C, just north of Puerto Rico at around 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The flight number revealed the plane was registered to LOVEAIR LLC and operated by luxury private jet company Silver Air.

At around 6:05 p.m. ET, the aircraft was spotted near Barbuda before turning and doing a 180 loop to Antigua.

“UPDATE @Diddy Private Jet (Gulfstream G550 N1969 / SIS69 ) departed Van Nuys airport earlier today now descending to land at remote airfield in Barbuda,” the X user tweeted in his update.

The X user clarified in a follow up tweet, “FYI it was difficult to figure out his exact landing spot due to the aircraft’s erratic descent. I thought he was landing at Barbuda’s, but turned and did a 180 loop to Antigua at about 2,200 feet. Also, the aircraft turned off its radar signature within seconds of touchdown.”

It is unclear whether Diddy was aboard the private jet when it landed in Antigua.

Social media responded to the possibility of the “THE LOVE ALBUM : OFF THE GRID ” rapper getting out of dodge during the federal investigation and not taking his sons along.

“Fled and leaving your kids in the house that’s being raided is crazy,” one comment read .

“Leaving your kids behind is so dirty,” said another .

Some assumed Diddy was tipped off and fled to a country that won’t send him back to face his alleged crimes.

Antigua and Barbuda, the twin-island nation that Diddy is believed to have gone to, is a small country in the Caribbean, near the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

If he had been the subject of an arrest warrant instead of a search warrant, that nation might not have exempted him from extradition to America.

According to the U.S. State Department, the nation entered into an agreement in 1981, following its independence from the United Kingdom, to work in partnership together regarding some matters of law enforcement.

“Antigua and Barbuda’s location close to the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico makes it an attractive trans-shipment point for narcotics traffickers,” the State Department reports . “To address these problems, the United States and Antigua and Barbuda signed a series of counternarcotic and anticrime treaties and agreements, including a maritime law enforcement agreement subsequently amended to include overflight and order-to-land provisions, a bilateral extradition treaty, and a mutual legal assistance treaty.”

Diddy has been the subject of a federal investigation since November and has faced a wave of lawsuits filed against him, particularly concerning his role as a powerful fixture in entertainment. With power, the lawsuits suggest, also came abuse.

One example was a lawsuit filed by his former girlfriend Cassie under the New York Adult Survivors Act, which accused him of long-term physical and sexual abuse. Her lawsuit originally asked for $30 million and was settled in less than 24 hours for an undisclosed amount.

The lawsuit ticked off a legion of other filings — leading to the aforementioned raid.

Amidst the raid, Cassie’s lawyers have released a statement saying, “We will always support law enforcement when it seeks to prosecute those that have violated the law. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr. Combs responsible for his depraved conduct.”

See what’s fueling the return of supersonic passenger flights

More than two decades after the concorde’s last flight, several private companies are competing to bring supersonic travel to the masses.

In January, more than 100 people gathered at an airplane hangar in California to watch NASA unveil its X-59 demonstrator jet — a futuristic aircraft designed to travel faster than the speed of sound that has helped revive excitement for supersonic travel.

There hasn’t been a commercial supersonic passenger jet since the Concorde stopped flying in 2003. Since then, supersonic jets — which travel faster than the speed of sound — have been used primarily by the military. But the space agency’s unveiling of the X-59, designed and built in partnership with Lockheed Martin, comes as a growing number of private companies are vying to bring back supersonic travel for the commercial market.

Boom, Exosonic and Spike are among the companies promising modern supersonic travel that will be quieter, greener and more affordable than in the past. And at least one company — Hermeus — is exploring hypersonic flights, which would whisk passengers from New York to London in 90 minutes. But there are questions about whether these companies can make good on their claims given the economics of air travel and growing concerns about the impact of commercial aviation on the environment.

Here are five things to know about the effort to revive supersonic travel.

1. The sonic ‘boom’ could become a ‘soft thump’

NASA’s goal in developing the X-59 is to reduce the sonic boom — the thunder clap that resonates far and wide when an aircraft crosses the sound barrier. NASA scientists hope the demonstrator jet can prove that travel at supersonic speeds is possible without such earsplitting noise.

One key to quieting the boom comes from the plane’s design. The engine is mounted on top. The plane has a long, narrow nose and sculpted wing to help ensure the shock waves it creates as it speeds through the air are similar in strength and evenly spaced along the aircraft to create a gradual increase in pressure instead of the rapid jump that creates the loud bang, said Peter Coen, mission integration manager for the Quesst mission.

The sonic boom is around 105 PLdB, or perceived level of decibels, similar to that of the sound of a balloon popping next to you. In comparison, NASA says the X-59’s will sound closer to a car door slamming 20 feet away.

Turning the boom into a “soft thump,” as NASA hopes, could also improve the economics for commercial supersonic flights. It could mean an end to the U.S. ban on supersonic travel over land, which was enacted over noise concerns. That in turn could make commercial supersonic travel financially viable because airlines would be able to fly supersonic planes to more destinations.

Designing and building the X-59 took roughly five years. Testing is underway, and other phases of the project are expected to take another four. The total projected cost is $839 million, according to NASA.

2. There’s a flurry of interest from private companies

Nearly a half a dozen companies are competing to be the first to offer supersonic travel to the public — a curious interest at a time when much investment and innovation in transportation is focused on developing cleaner, more climate-friendly options that consume less fuel or alternative propulsion technologies such as batteries or hydrogen.

Denver-based Boom Supersonic is eyeing 2029 for the debut of its supersonic passenger jet, called Overture. The aircraft is expected to seat 64 to 80 passengers, according to Blake Scholl, the company’s chief executive. It will travel at Mach 1.7, or 1.7 times the speed of sound — more than twice as fast as a regular passenger airplane .

One company, Aerion — which had backing from major players in the industry including Boeing and Lockheed Martin to build a supersonic business jet — has already bowed out of the race. It shut down in 2021, unable to secure the funding to continue it work.

Industry analysts say venture capital and the mind-set that commercial supersonic sounds like a good idea has largely fueled the revival.

“It’s that Silicon Valley mentality that you put money down on 20 things for one that does well,” said Richard Aboulafia, managing director at AeroDynamic Advisory. “Again, it sounds like a good idea. There’s a good market for air transport and people want to fly fast. We had Concorde in the past so it sounds right — so let’s put some money there.”

Bruce McClelland, a senior contributing analyst at aerospace and defense industry analysis firm the Teal Group, added, “A lot of projects attract money whether they’re completely viable or not.”

3. It promises sustainability

Companies say their new generation of supersonic jets will have a smaller carbon footprint, mostly because they will be fueled by sustainable aviation fuel. This is fuel is made from agricultural products including soybeans and animal fat.

But critics say that pledge ignores some significant realities. For instance, there isn’t enough sustainable aviation fuel for planes that exist today. The sustainable aviation fuel that does exist is more expensive — by some estimates two to four times the cost of fossil fuel.

And no matter the fuel, the reality is supersonic jets will always use more of it. According to a 2022 study by International Council on Clean Transportation, supersonic jets could use seven to nine times as much fuel as regular commercial aircraft while carrying fewer passengers. But NASA’s Coen contends that supersonic travel at least initially will be a very small part of overall CO2 emissions and a very small part of commercial aviation.

Even so, with airlines pledging to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, some say it’s hard to understand how supersonic jets fit into that framework.

4. It could be affordable for more people

The Concorde ended service because only a small slice of the flying public could ever afford a ticket, among other reasons, including a 2000 crash that killed 113 people and grounded Concorde’s supersonic planes for a year. But today’s entrepreneurs say supersonic travel can be affordable — though maybe not at first.

They point to Tesla and the burgeoning space tourism sector as an example of new modes of transportation that have and could eventually become accessible to a growing segment of the population.

Analysts have their doubts, though, given how difficult it is for commercial airlines to stay afloat. Supersonic jets will carry fewer passengers and consume greater quantities of fuel. If that fuel is sustainable aviation fuel, those costs increase even more.

“Essentially, the faster you fly, the more fuel you are burning per mile,” said Iain Boyd, director of the Center for National Security Initiatives at the University of Colorado at Boulder. “Supersonic is always going to be more expensive.”

5. It could get even faster

Hermeus, based in Atlanta is just one of the companies exploring the possibility of an even faster, hypersonic commercial passenger jet. While supersonic aircraft travel faster than the speed of sound, hypersonic aircraft travel at speeds five times faster or more.

Translated: that would make a flight between New York and London — a 90-minute trip — about the same as flying from New York to D.C. on today’s commercial aircraft.

The company’s Halcyon jet would travel at Mach 5 — or five times the speed of sound. A.J. Piplica, the company’s chief executive, said the company is laying the groundwork for Halcyon by building hypersonic drones that could be used for defense and national security purposes.

But the company is open about the technological challenges it faces developing such a fast aircraft. Today, there’s a less than 50 percent chance of getting Halcyon in the air, Piplica says — but he expects the odds to improve over time.

Even then, Hermeus — and all the start-ups — will have to convince the public to buy in and will have to grapple with growing concern about the impact of air travel on the environment. It could be a tall order.

“I’m Not Going Out Like That”

You don’t really need to avoid boeing’s 737 max when you travel. here’s how to do it anyway..

The chances of dying in a cataclysmic air accident—you and your fellow passengers consumed by a molten fireball, cascading down toward the Earth’s surface—remain astoundingly low. Roughly 115,000 commercial airplanes take off and land every day, and a significant number of them are made by Boeing, which holds a 42 percent market share in the industry. So, despite those two criminal, reputation-altering 737 Max disasters in 2018 and 2019, and a slew of nonfatal but viscerally horrifying mechanical failures that have recently beset the company ( door plugs detaching over the Pacific Northwest, tires flinging off hulls , cockpit issues causing passengers to ricochet off the ceiling, and so on), the odds are good that when you step onto a Boeing aircraft, you will safely arrive at your destination.

And yet, despite those logical assurances, when I booked a trip down to Miami earlier this week, I did everything I could to guarantee my spot on an Airbus—Boeing’s eternal French nemesis, and a company that is not currently mired in spiraling controversy. (If you’re curious, JetBlue maintains a fleet made up entirely of Airbus planes, and they fly to South Florida from New York multiple times a day.) I have been afflicted by a fear of flying my whole life—on long-haul trips, I tend to spend most of the duration staring at the live map glowing on the back of the seat in front of me, constantly calculating just how far I am from the nearest airport in case of an emergency diversion. But over the past few months, my phobia has become a mainstream malady. It seems as if everyone, even those freaks who claim to enjoy the quaking of turbulence, is doing what they can to avoid suspect Boeing engineering.

“I’m flying down to Houston in late April, and most of the flights that went there were on United, and a lot of them that matched up with the times were all on Boeing,” Andy Hirschfeld, a reporter based in New York, told me. “I knew it was incredibly unlikely for anything to happen, but you’re not hearing any stories about Airbus right now, so I booked a ticket on JetBlue. That’s a risk in its own right. There’s only one or two flights to Houston from New York a day on that carrier. If it gets delayed or canceled, I’m screwed.”

Hirschfeld is lucky that his circumvention of Boeing required him only to find another flight. Others are going to far more drastic measures to allay their fears. Ellory Smith, a comedian in Los Angeles, told me that for an upcoming trip to Phoenix, she is considering making the brutal six-hour drive on Interstate 10, rather than boarding a Boeing jet. “It’s probably more dangerous to drive,” she said. “[But] vehicular death is so baked into our lives, whereas a plane crash is still shocking.” I’m with her. An 18-wheeler decimating my Toyota Corolla into a pile of glass and chrome sounds, frankly, so much more appealing than getting sucked out of a porthole at 30,000 feet.

Similarly, Derek Robertson, another journalist and a friend, told me that he added almost $1,000 worth of airfare for a work trip to this year’s SXSW to ensure that he would be sitting on an Airbus safe and sound. (“I’m not going out like that,” he said.) And last week, NBC tracked down a number of passengers who went so far as to switch their Boeing flights, after they were booked, to aircraft they found more reassuring. Leonyce Moses, a consultant in Virginia, ate a $70 fee for the trouble. “It was worth it for my safety,” she told NBC. In other words, Americans are in the midst of a Boeing reckoning. We may not fear death, but we certainly fear death like that .

Whether or not you find this to be rational behavior or a ridiculous overreaction likely hinges on your own assessment of the drama. As stated, midflight catastrophes—even during this concerning swoon in aviation history—are incredibly unlikely. By the time you have finished reading this article, several Boeing jets will have completed their journeys, with no incidents to report. Still, the outrage—and subsequent soft boycott—of Boeing’s product is fairly understandable. This many botches in such a short time frame is unconscionable, and there are real questions about the increased financialization of the company’s culture, which some have claimed has diminished its aerospace roots. Public pressure has mounted to the point that the company’s CEO, Dave Calhoun, resigned on Monday , so clearly Boeing is feeling the burn. (Should I mention the whistleblower who turned up dead from a gunshot wound? I’m trying to avoid New World Order ideation here, but, well, you know .)

However, if you’re the sort of person who wants to avoid Boeing aircraft regardless of the likelihood of a safety debacle, I asked Blaise Waguespack, a professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University who specializes in the air travel industry, about the best ways to secure ourselves a seat on an Airbus when we purchase airfare. The solution is pretty simple: Just research the nitty-gritty logistical specifics of your flight, which are easy to find if you know where to look. When you book travel on Kayak or Google Flights—perhaps the two biggest third-party airfare retailers in North America—the specific model you’ll be boarding, Waguespack notes, is typically listed in the minor transactional details, a quarter of a scroll down the page. For instance: I just pulled up another New York–to–Miami flight in early May on Kayak, and in faint gray lettering on the itinerary, I can read that Spirit would be booking me on an Airbus 321 on the trip down and a 320neo on the way back up. You’ll be able to find similar clarity on most airline homepages as well. I put the same query into United and read about the many, many Maxes that would happily ferry me down to South Florida. (Yikes!)

“All that information is there,” said Waguespack. “If you’re a loyal flyer and you know your airline has a mixed fleet—where sometimes you’re on an Airbus and sometimes you’re on a Boeing, like United and Delta—if you expand the search parameters, you’ll be able to see the plane type.”

However, if you don’t want to go through that rigmarole—and if you want to avoid extreme edge cases, like your Airbus getting swapped out for a Boeing at the last minute due to a cancellation or a delay—Waguespack recommends simply looking up the fleet makeup of whatever airline you’re set to travel on. (As mentioned, JetBlue is a Boeing-free airline; same with Spirit, Frontier, and Allegiant.) Yes, booking on Spirit to avoid boarding a Max is quite the devil’s bargain, but it’s nice to have the option.

For what it’s worth, Waguespack has a slightly more measured take on the recent rash of Boeing-related dysfunction. He notes that many of the incidents that have made headlines occurred on United flights that were using Boeing engineering. Does blame lie with the manufacturer or the airline? The chicken or the egg? Waguespack doesn’t have the answer. Right now nobody does. So, until they do, and the abyssal depths of Boeing’s protocol degradation are revealed for all to see, I won’t be taking my chances. Send me home ensconced in the dulcet rumble of an Airbus jet. Nobody wants to spend the entirety of a flight side-eyeing the emergency exit.

2024 NFL free agency: Browns sign former Jets Pro Bowler to improve special teams

Justin hardee is returning to his hometown.

While it'll likely be overlooked, the Cleveland Browns are making a smart signing as free agency enters its second month. The Browns have signed Cleveland native and former Jets Pro Bowler Justin Hardee . 

This is a smart signing given Hardee's special teams prowess and the NFL's recent adjustments to the kickoff , adjustments that all but guarantee significantly more kickoff returns this season. Hardee, who recently turned 30, established himself as one of the NFL's top special teams players during his three seasons with the Jets. 

A cornerback by trade, Hardee has made special teams his calling card since entering the NFL in 2017 as a member of the New Orleans Saints . His play on special teams in 2022 earned him his first Pro Bowl selection. His forced fumble of then-Steelers returner Gunner Olszewski spearheaded a Jets come-from-behind win in Pittsburgh in Week 4 of that season. 

Hardee actually played receiver during his time at Illinois from 2012-16. After an injury wiped out his 2015 season, Hardee returned and started in each of his 12 games as a senior. He caught a career high nine passes for 125 yards against Northwestern in his final regular season game. 

A proud Cleveland native, Hardee was overheard telling then-Browns quarterback Joe Flacco to bring a championship to the city following the Browns' win over the Jets last season. Hardee will now look to do his part in helping Cleveland reach its first Super Bowl .
