  • Hundred Islands Tour Package

The Hundred Islands national park is slowly recovering from the disastrous typhoon which hit the Pangasinan province in 2003. Tourism to the area took a major hit, even though the beautiful islands remained relatively unscathed. Luckily, this beautiful place is blooming again – hotels are springing up and tours become more frequent.

Only 5 hours away from Manila, the 100 islands tour is one of the nicer getaways from the city. Day tours are not ideal, and it’s better to book an overnight package. All of our hundred islands tour packages include transfers, hotels and resorts, as well as personally designed tours and attractions . The hundred island is an amazing attraction, perfect for couples, families and small groups. The area offer a mix of attractions and your whole tour package would be very reasonably priced.

Hundred islands panoramic view

Tour B is more adventurous and suitable for families with teenagers or groups of young friends. It visits: Quezon, Marcos, Lopez, Clave, Old Scout, Macapagal and Bat Islands. Not only that you’re going to enjoy less crowded beaches and waters, you’ll also get to cliff jump inside a cave on Marcos Island, and do some bat and bird watching around Bat Island.

Best Hundred Islands Packages

Hundred islands viewdeck

The hotels we work with are reasonably priced, and are very close to the pier, where there are a few restaurants and bars, as well as a coffee shop. They provide excellent service, clean and serve you breakfast before you leave to your tours. If you wish to book our packages and stay elsewhere please mention it while you send us your inquiry. For higher standards and all inclusive hotels, you should spend the night in Clark or Tarlac and get to Pangasinan in the early morning.

A visit to Alaminos can never be complete without a tour to the Hundred Islands National Park, so naturally all of our packages include it, even the short 1 night stay package. Even though you’ll stay for a short while, you’ll have enough time for the island hopping day tour and have a wonderful experience. However, if you’re after the full Pangasinan experience, our 2 nights and 3 days packages are the better choice.

Hundred islands Marcos Beach

The Deluxe Package we offer is the same as the 2 nights package, but with a private new Toyota Grandia, that will escort you throughout the vacation. We’ll also take care of your lunch arrangements, and through you a lunch buffet during your island hopping tour, and a boodle fight lunch during your Bolinao tour. For larger groups coasters and buses will be arranged.

Pangasinan Travel Essentials:

  • Location : Alaminos Municipality, Pangasinan province
  • Flights : Non available – take a flight to Manila or Clark, then proceed by bus.
  • Bus : Manila buses leave from Cubao and Pasay and take betwen 5-6 hours to get there
  • Best time to visit : During the dry season – January to May
  • Attractions : Island hopping, snorkeling, kayaking, local foods, caves.

How to get there?

There’s no airport serving Pangasinan, and the only way to reach is by taking a bus. Five Star and Victory Liner are the two bus companies that run the route from Manila , with buses leaving from the Pasay or Cubao terminals every 20 minutes or so. The bus ride takes between 5 and 6 hours, depending on traffic. Both lines offer a stop at Tarlac, so it’s very possible to add the Mt. Pinatubo day tour to your package.

There’s a night bus leaving at midnight – the best option for those who wish to visit the Hundred Islands on a day tour. You’ll arrive there at 5 AM, just in time to watch the spectacular sunrise over the bay. It might be a long day, but if you only wish to visit the islands then it’s a solid option.

Another option is to grab a Victory Liner bus at Baguio , on your way to or from any of the popular North Luzon destinations, such as Ilocos or Sagada. The bus from Baguio is headed for Dagupan and stops at Alaminos – It’ll take you 3 hours to get there. This sidetrip isn’t the most efficient, but it is possible, so if it works with your general travel plans let us know and we’ll work something out.

You can take a private van for all these trips if you prefer to, but it will be expensive. Pangasinan isn’t as popular among locals as it used to be, so services are not well developed. One option could be to take a van to Tarlac and catch the bus from there – that way you cut half of the bus ride for the comfort of a spacious van.

What to do in Pangasinan?

Our Hundred Islands tour package covers all the main attractions in the area. There are 123 island and islets to explore, and island hopping tours are fully customizable. It’s better to plan ahead, but you can also speak to the tour operators once there. They’ll help you plan an itinerary packed with adventure and beautiful sights.

Other than that, there a few other things to do around the province. If you decide they are worth your time, update in advance and we’ll help you plan an itinerary. If you can afford to spend more than a day there, it’s probably better to take two different island hopping tours than searching for activities in Bolinao and Dagupan.

The three main Islands – a cornerstone in most island hopping tours

hundred islands family package

Governor’s island is the first of the main islands and it stands out for two main reasons. It’s the only island offering accommodation to its visitors – a lodge can be rented for 100$ a night. Secondly, the island also provides the only vantage point, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the whole area.

It’s a long 250 steps climb to the top, but it’s worth it for the spectacular view. Once you get there – you’ll understand why the long trip from Manila was worth it. If you wish to sleep on the island, let us know in advance since availability is limited. Otherwise, you can always set camp at one of the island’s beaches instead.

The second popular island is Children’s Island – which is probably the best location for families . Its shallow waters and clean beaches are the perfect playground for children, while adults can bask in the sun and relax. The island also has some picnic tables you can rent for the day, and cottages are available for overnight stays.

Lastly, there’s Quezon Island – the best place to go snorkeling. It’s also another great place for families, as its shallow waters are teeming with marine life. Quezon island has the most developed camping areas – so if you wish to spend the night in a tent this is the best place to do so. Snorkeling gear can be rented for 200 Pesos, so there’s no need to bring it.

Hundred Islands Hidden Gems and Secret attractions

For those of you who prefer nature and wildlife, the northern parts of the park are the place to go. This is where you can meet some of the most exotic inhabitants of the Hundred islands. Above all, make sure you visit Monkey Island – if you are lucky enough you might catch one of the shy monkeys who live there. The island is also a great place for snorkeling, kayaking and swimming. The only downside is this island doesn’t have a real beach to lay at.

Just near to Monkey Island is Century island, which is a great place to hike in nature. This location is famous for its high dome cave which features beautiful rock formations and houses a large population of bats and snakes. If bats are your thing, why not visit Bat island as well? It’s right next to Governor’s island and known as the best place to watch these creatures, even during daytime.

Another great place which isn’t far from Governor’s island is Virgin island. This place has white beaches and a relaxing atmosphere, with 2 interesting twists that turn the whole experience into a wild adventure. You can reach the island by using a 546 meters long zipline from the peak of Governor’s island – the longest zipline in the Philippines. Secondly, there’s a helmet diving site nearby – where you put on a helmet and walk on the ocean floor. It’s not as exciting as Boracay’s helmet diving , but still a really fun activity.

For private beaches on smaller islands away from the tourists, there are 2 which are highly recommended. Romulo Island is nothing more than a white sand beach, while Cuenco Island is slightly bigger and also has a nice cave you can explore.

Lastly, there’s Marcos Island – one of the most special places to visit during your time here. It’s a great island which offers all the standrard attractions, as well as a unique cave called Imelda Cave. You’ll go through a hole and into a a stunning cave with a deep swimming pool at its bottom. You can jump into the pool from cliff diving platforms at varying heights – between 12 and 20 feet (3.5 to 6 meters).

Other Pangasinan Attractions and Activities

Hundred islands island hopping tour

If your’e looking to spend a night near the beach, Bolinao is the best choice. This is where the best beach resorts are found, and it’s close enough to Lucap Wharf, from which tours to the Hundred Island depart. On top of that, you could visit the Bolinao enchanted cave, a stunning underwater cave with a natural spring pool in it. Visiting the swimming pool could be a really refreshing end to a long day of island hopping outdoors.

Other great beach locations are Anda and Dasol. At Anda you can snorkel and kayak, and the beach itself is very nice. Another recommended activity is the boat ride to nearby Coral island – one of the best diving spots around. Dasol, on the other hand, is on the opposite side of the Hundred Islands, nearly an hour drive away.

You can do a completely different island hopping tour here, with the main advantage being you’ll get to avoid the crowded tourists spots. Alternatively, you can just stop by Labrador – it’s between Alaminos and Dagupan and only a short drive away for either. Not much to do over there, but the beaches are amazing.

For those who wish to combine some mainland attractions with their island hopping and beach bummin’ tours, the best choice is Bolinao. There are no less than 3 different waterfalls along the Bolinao river – appropriately named Bolinao Falls 1,2 and 3. The first one is the impressive, but they are each worth a visit and they all have a nice swimming pool you can have fun in. Combine that with a visit to the enchancted cave and you are all set for a day full of adventure.

How do the Hundred Island Fit into my travel plans?

The hundred Islands at Pangasinan offer one of the best island hopping experiences in the Philippines. Being so close to Manila and providing cheap accommodation are huge advantages as well. It’s a great destination for large groups and families, who prefer to save on expenses and will likely spend most of their days outdoors anyway.

Taking the Hundred Islands package can be done in several ways. First, you can always visit it as a day tour out of Manila – you’ll have to leave the city at midnight and take the night bus, but the upside is you’ll witness the beautiful sunrise in Alaminos. Another option is booking an overnight tour package, allowing you to explore the area more throughly. Lastly, one of our most popular packages is the 3d2n tour of Pangasinan and Mt.Pinatubo – allowing you to visit 2 of the most special places in Luzon island, and experience each of them fully.

how much is the Day tour island hopping? and when will be the best months as of now?

Hi May and thanks for the good questions.

1) The exact rate depends on how many people you are. Each person has to pay 80 pesos in fees and then you need to all pay 1400 for the boat.

2) The seasons is pretty much same as in Manila and other areas of Luzon, so now isn’t the best time to go. If you can delay until November / December it would be better.

Good mornig. I am planning a time table and there are two days wish to go huandard island and baquio please let me know your email and I will send you my require.

You can find our email at our contact us page .

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hundred Islands National Park (2024 Complete Travel Guide)

From textbooks to storybooks, I read about the Philippines’  Hundred Islands. As a kid, I couldn’t imagine how and what dozens of islands would look like.

I only heard how beautiful the marine life is and how many islands there are that you won’t be able to see all in just a day. Oh boy, how true the stories were! When Ryk and I went there, it was truly a wonderful place!

Hundred Islands

From a bridge that connects two islands to a free fall into a cave plunging down to the waters below to camping with only the sea and stars as your companion for the night.

We’ve been to Pangasinan’s Hundred Island twice. We wrote the first version of this article way back 2016. We recently visited Alaminos in August 2022 so we’ve updated this post.

Here are tips on visiting this National Park.

Table of Contents

About Hundred Islands National Park

Hundred Islands National Park is a protected area of the Philippines located in the province of Pangasinan. It is made up of 123 islands at high tide (and 124 at low tide) and islets stretching over an area of 16.76 square kilometers.

The park is a popular tourist destination due to its crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, and water activities.

Best Time to Visit Hundred Islands Alaminos

The best time to visit Hundred Islands is from December to May when the weather is dry. Avoid the rainy season from June to November. Boats have a hard time going to the islands during the rainy season. The ocean waves can get really high and it becomes dangerous to go out to sea.

How to Get There

Hundred Islands is located in Alaminos, Pangasinan. The best way to get there is by taking a bus from Manila to Alaminos. You can find buses bound for Alaminos from Cubao or Pasay. Travel time is approximately 4-6 hours.

If you’re joining an organized tour, there are many tour agencies on Facebook that offer Hundred Islands tours. Tour packages typically include boat rental, entrance fees, life vest rental, and snorkeling gear rental.

Travel Tip: Check schedules and availability of buses to Pangasinan to book online with 12Go Asia.

Once you’re in Alaminos, you can take a tricycle to the Lucap Wharf where the jump-off point is located. You need to pay an environmental fee and boat rental before going to the islands.

There are 2 ways to explore Hundred Islands: Do-It-Yourself or join an organized tour. If you’re doing it on your own, you can rent a boat from the Tourism Information Center at the Lucap Wharf. See fees below.

Things to See and Do in Hundred Islands National Park Alaminos, Pangasinan

Island hopping.

hundred islands

One of the most popular things to do in Hundred Islands is island hopping. You can visit some of the popular islands like Governor’s Island, Children’s Island, Quezon Island, and Marcos Island. There are many other smaller islands that you can explore as well.

Snorkeling and Swimming

Hundred Islands is a great place to go snorkeling and swimming. The water is crystal clear and there are many colorful fish to see. Be sure to wear reef safe sunscreen as the sun can be quite strong.

We went snorkeling on one of the islands. The water was crystal clear and the visibility was great. We saw a lot of colorful fish and corals just a few meters away from thee island. Hundred islands is teeming with marine life. It’s a great place to snorkel in.

If you’re looking for a bit of adventure, you can go kayaking around the islands. Rent a kayak at Children’s island and paddle your way around the different islands.

Hike Up Pilgrimage Island

hundred islands

For a great view of the islands, you can hike up to the top of Pilgrimage Island. It’s a bit of a climb but it’s worth it for the views.

Have a picnic

One of the best things to do in Hundred Islands is to have a picnic on one of the many islands. Be sure to pack your own food and drinks. Food can be expensive on the islands. You can rent a shed or a table for lunch.

If you’re looking for a thrill, you can go ziplining. Unfortunately, it was drizzling when we arrived on Quezon island. They do not operate the zipline when it’s raining. It’s also important to note that there’s a weight limit. When we visited, the max weight allowed was 60 kg.

Banana Boat

hundred islands

Imagine touring around the islands on a banana boat. That’s what this is. We were impressed with how far the boat took us. We were waiting for one of us to fall off but no one did (bummer).

Cliff Jumping

This is for the adrenaline junkies out there. You can cliff jump into the water on a bat cave in Marcos island. It’s a must-try!

Helmet Diving

hundred islands

This was the highlight of our trip! Compared to the helmet diving in Boracay , you’ll see a lot more in Hundred Islands. Plus, it’s way cheaper than in Boracay. We saw giant clams underwater and lots of fishes!

Off to the Hundred Islands

Travel Tips to Hundred Islands

This place has so much to offer and considering how little time there is to explore all of it, I would just go out of line to give you at least a list of what we should have done to make our trip better.

Bring your own drinking water and snacks

Save some money. Buy food at the Lucap Wharf before riding the boat to the islands. The canteen in Quezon island sells expensive food.

Charter a boat

Having a boat all to yourselves would hurt your wallet but in exchange, you would have the liberty to go where you want, at your own time, at your own accord. That means, you go where you want to and you can even bargain with the boatmen to stop by some islands that others don’t usually go to as opposed to chipping in with a few strangers that get you just about only 15 minutes per island.

Bring your own tent

Bringing your own tent lets you save a few hundred pesos compared to renting one. I would say that our overnight stay via camping in the Hundred Islands was the best part of our trip.

We were able to choose where to pitch our tent, by the beach, or by the island’s peak. The joy of having an island to yourself for the whole night while waiting for the sunrise and getting contented with how clear and bright the stars shined, it was awe-inspiring.

Children's Island Beach

Get a better snorkeling gear

If you’re in this blog that means you’re no stranger to big masses of water, with that said renting a poor snorkeling gear is not advised since its price is the same as buying a new one.

In addition, if you lost the one you rented, you’d have to pay for it. Also, get those flippers to have better control under there.

Live it before taking the shot

I know, taking pictures helps keep the memories preserved but please take some time first to close your eyes, feel the breeze, caress the sand, listen to the waves and birds, and enjoy the moment through your eyes before you put it on a screen.

Chilling by the Island

What to Pack for Your Trip to Hundred  Islands

Be sure to pack your sunscreen, hats, swimwear, and snacks. You’ll also want to bring your own snorkeling gear if you plan on going snorkeling (or you can rent one). Life jackets are required on the boat when island hopping.

Where to Stay in Hundred Islands Alaminos

You can either camp on the islands or book a room:

Where to Camp in the Hundred Islands

Camping? You can rent a tent or bring your own. Here are the three most recommended islands to camp in.

Tent Rentals

  • Large Tent (5 to 6 persons) – P1,000 includes 5 pillows, 2 bedsheet, 1 mat & 2 container of fresh water
  • Medium Tent (3 to 4 persons) – P700 includes 3 pillows, 2 bedsheet, 1 mat & 2 container of fresh water
  • Small Tent (1 to 3 persons) – P500 includes 2 pillows, 1 bedsheet, 1 mat & 1 container of fresh water

Governor’s Island

This island is usually the first go-to place for boatmen. It’s pretty famous for having a peak where you can get a view of all the other islands. The island is connected to a nearby island by a bridge. How cool is that? Another thing is there’s a zip line connecting the island to another.

If you decide to camp here, there is a sari-sari store but the prices are expensive. There is also an available toilet and shower area on the island which is a plus for comfortable camping in the Hundred Islands.

Governor's Island Bridge

Quezon Island

From the usual banana boat rides to jet ski’s, the island offers a lot of water activities. It is near the snorkeling site where you get to see giant clams. By giant, I mean B.I.G. Getting to see one up close was wow! and scary. I couldn’t help but admire their beauty but at the same time, I was imagining how it might suck me in. Haha. I know that would be close to impossible but hey it’s my brain. I get to imagine things.

Among other islands, Quezon Island is the most developed so expect picnic areas, cottages, comfort rooms, showers, and electricity at night.

Hundred Islands

Children’s Island

The shallow water and rich marine life near the beach convinced us to give Children’s Island a try. We pitched our tent and camped the night. Thinking back, it was one of the best camping in the Hundred Islands experience I’ve ever had!

We had the island all to ourselves excluding the caretaker, of course. Just like Quezon Island, there’s electricity, a nearby bathroom, and toilet. But I have to warn you, the bathroom and toilet aren’t maintained, there are even holes on the roof so don’t expect much.

Children's Island

While beach bumming on the island, some locals came to sell crabs at P280 a kilo. Since we were both fans of seafood, we grabbed the chance and bought some for dinner. I’m not sure though if they really do sell these on the island or if it’s just a once-in-a-lifetime moment.

Crabs at Hundred Islands

Accommodations Near Lucap Wharf

There are also rooms for rent on Quezon island but they are quite expensive. I’d recommend you book one of the accommodations near Lucap Wharf.

We stayed in Island Tropic Hotel and Restaurant . The rooms are clean and affordable. They even provide free breakfasts! It’s just behind the Tourism Information Center so you don’t have to walk far to get to your boat.

Here are other accommodations that we recommend:

  • Islandia Hotel
  • Asia Novo Boutique Hotel
  • Treasure Isle Guesthouse

Hundred Islands epitomizes the best of Pangasinan , riddled by 123 islets spearing out of the cerulean sea.  Home to a staggering variety of wildlife and fishes, these coral islands make up the Hundred Islands National Park.  Most of them are desolate, save for the 7 major islands that are usually included in the island hopping tour: Governors Island, Virgin Island, Quezon Island, Marcos Island, Scout Island, Children’s Island, and Pilgrimage Island/Ramos Island (island with large Jesus statue).  These islands have exploded in popularity and booming like nowhere else in Pangasinan. It’s an ideal weekend getaway for families and friends because the park is packed with water activities. Here’s a Hundred Islands travel guide with itinerary and budget  to help you plan your trip.

WHERE TO STAY IN HUNDRED ISLANDS

If you ask me where to stay in Hundred Islands, I’d tell you right away to stay in Lucap, Alaminos. Last time, we stayed at a hotel near Lucap Park since it’s walking distance to the Tourism Office and Lucap Wharf, the main jumping off point for island hopping in Hundred Islands.

So, if you have limited time and you want to save on boat rental since the overnight boat rental is quite expensive, you can opt to do a day tour of Hundred Islands and just stay at resorts at the mainland overnight.

Also, eateries are concentrated at Lucap Park, a good place to dine at night. There’s also a souvenir shop for OTOP (One Town One Prouct) where you can buy souvenir food made in Pangasinan.  Souvenir shirts and other products are also sold by souvenir stores/shops nearby.

  • Island Tropic Hotel and Restaurant
  • Location: Lucap, Alaminos
  • RESERVE HERE

* This is where we stayed last time, just in front of Lucap Park and walking distance to the wharf, Tourism Office, eateries, and souvenir shops. They offer free breakfast.

HUNDRED ISLANDS ITINERARY + EXPENSES

NOTE: Like I mentioned above, currently there’s still no provincial buses to Alaminos City in Pangasinan going to Hundred Islands. Only cars and private vehicles are allowed.

If you want a hassle-free day tour from Manila to Hudred Islands, you can book a day tour below.

HUNDRED ISLANDS DAY TOUR: BOOK HERE

*Sample Hundred Islands travel budget below doesn’t include airfare, hotel, souvenirs, and drinks. And sample budget is per person budget if 2 persons.

  HUNDRED ISLANDS BUDGET BREAKDOWN

HUNDRED ISLANDS SUNSET

Here’s a sample Hundred Islands budget, good for 2 days 1 night stay. Take note that the sample budget is per person and this is good if you are a party of 2. Hotel, drinks, souvenirs, and airfare are not included in the budget breakdown.

If you are only doing a Hundred Islands day tour , estimated total expenses is roughly ₱2,086 – $43 (€36,SGD 57, MYR 176, KRW 47,897) per person, if you are a party of 2. If you are more than 2, sample budget can be lowered as you will be sharing on the tricycle fare and boat rental.

Hotel rooms in Lucap usually costs ₱1,200 ($25) to ₱2,000 ($41), good for 2 persons. So, if you’re able to book at this rate, just divide the cost and add it to the sample budget above, so you can have an idea how much it’ll cost for an overnight stay in Hundred Islands.

HUNDRED ISLANDS TRAVEL TIPS AND REMINDERS

hundred islands travel guide

  • Always wear life jacket when riding the boat and when swimming, snorkeling, and doing other water sports activities.
  • Stack up cash as everything is on cash basis.
  • Include the boatman in your lunch budget.
  • If you want to save, buy food and drinks at the market or grocery in Alaminos.
  • Wear reef-friendly sunblock.
  • Bring power banks. Although charging station is available, there is a fee.
  • Bring water-proof bag and case for your gadgets.
  • Bring drinking bottle and metal straw.
  • Do not collect sand as souvenirs.
  • Take your trash with you and dispose them properly. Leave nothing but footprints.
  • Always bring vinegar when visiting a beach, just in case you get stung by a jelly fish. Better be safe than sorry. Although I never heard of any jelly fish incidents there.
  • Bring food and drinks. There are stores in some islands where you can buy drinks and snacks, but they are quite expensive. You can buy basic commodities in the supermarket before riding the tricycle to Lucap Wharf.
  • There are budget-friendly eateries at Lucap Park.
  • There’s a comfort room at some developed islands like Governor’s Island.

Just a quick update. All For Rent Nipas’ with Room have been eroded as part of its beautification which started last summer. New pavilion have been erected at Quezon island and another house too, making it only two houses. One at Governors Islands (known as PBB House) at the said island.

It’s indeed more fun in the Philippines.

Travel Guide for the Hundred Islands National Park, Pangasinan

Going to an isle hopping is one of the activities that I am looking for whenever I get to visit a new place. Well, the idea of visiting isle with equally unique beauty and features fascinates me a lot. It is as if, I can visit different realms of the world with just one activity. One of the activities that I was able to try out is the Hundred Islands National Park.

At first, I initially thought that it is indeed a total of 100! Only to be informed later on that there are a total of 123 isles during high tide and 124 during low tide season. Yes! I found it as an opportunity to satisfy my boating/sightseeing fascination. The Hundred Islands National Park is located in the City of Alaminos, Pangasinan. The travel here coming from Manila will only take about 4 to 5 hours. After that, you are bound to a fantastic isle-hopping adventure of a lifetime. In fact, because of the natural beauty of the place, it was hailed as one of the National Geological Monuments of the Philippines, or the entire archipelago. With the belief that the age of the park is about 2 million years old, it is no wonder that it had begun to attract the attention of a lot of tourists way before it was fully developed.

Things to do in The Hundred Islands |Tour, Tourist Spots, and Activities

The destination of the isle hopping activity may vary depending on the whims of the tourists riding the boat. But, of all the spots, there are three top developed areas for tourism purposes.

Quezon Island

First of these three is the Quezon Island. It has a total of 2 dining pavilions, restrooms, grilling site, nipa huts, and a scenic white sandbar. Also, it holds a large clam garden which deeply fascinates the tourists. The isle was named after the former president Manuel Quezon. All in all, this spot is a complete package is I may say.

Things to do at Quezon Island

  •  120m zip line -P100.00
  •  Wall Climbing -P50.00
  •  Rappelling -P50.00
  •  Banana Boat -P250.00/head (min. of 6persons)
  •  Helmet Diving -P400.00/ 15mins.
  •  Kayaking (max of 2 persons) -P250.00/hour
  •  Parasailing – P2,000.00/pax; P3,000.00/2pax
  •  Jetski 1-2pax – P1,000/ 15 mins.
  •  Hanging bridge
  • Cottages are also available

Governor’s Island

The second developed spot in the Hundred Islands National Park, Pangasinan is the Governor’s Island. It has a stretch of white sand beach, a cave that has different bats and swiftlets, and a fantastic view deck which allows the tourists to have a glimpse of all the other areas as the background. The trek heading to the view deck may not be an easy one, but I can assure you that the view at the top will be very worth the sweat. The overnight accommodation in the Big Brother House (used as a location for shooting a Philippine reality show) is also available for an overnight stay.

Things to do at the Governors Island

  • Short Trek to the viewing deck
  • 546m zip line -P250.00
  • Inflatable bridge

Children’s Island

The third developed spot is the children’s island which is known for being suited for families. The water is shallow, making it perfect for children to swim without worrying too much about their safety. Staying here will be possible by renting a tent for a camp-like stay.

Other Islands

Other tourist spots in  Hundred Islands National Park, Pangasinan includes the Century (haven of the locals during the World War 2 era), Marcos, New Scout, Lopez, Clave, Old Scout, Martha and Ramos, Cuenco, Romulo, Devi, Cathedral, Guiya, Bangar, Turtle, Braganza, Hernandez, Abad Santos, Sulpot, Cariaz, Moneky, Sison, Shell, and Camantiles Islands. These places are also open for exploration as apart of your boat hopping activity. If I may suggest, I urge you to choose about 10 to 13 areas to visit if you plan to spend an entire day of hopping. Aside from this, snorkeling, diving, and all other fun water sports and activities are possible. So, you have to choose which one you are best comfortable to do, and the park has it for you.

  • Old Scout Island  – ideal for swimming and one of the best areas for snorkeling Pilgrimage Island – you can go swimming in this area as well as Trekking to Christ the Savior statue
  • Lopez Island – good for swimming; with some cottages; you can also go for  345m zip line at P250.00
  • Romulo Island – the place has nice white sand and the area is for swimming/snorkeling
  • Cuenco Island – ideal for dipping or you can go for a 10ft. Cliff jumping
  • Marcos Island – nice place for dipping, snorkeling or try the 30ft cliff jumping
  • Virgin Island – go swimming or spelunking; you can also do a zipline from Governors Island

All in all, the Hundred Islands National Park is suited for those who would like to experience a beach life without too much noise and party. Your stay here might be a quiet one, but the tranquility and serenity it brings are beyond one can explain. Plan your trip heading to this park, and I know that you’ll get your ultimate summer beaching goals. Good luck!
