Neoplan Jumbocruiser

The tour starts in Germany with  Neoplan Bus GmbH . Though no longer in production, the Neoplan Jumbocruiser still holds the Guinness World Record for the biggest bus in the world. This double-decker coach was 59 feet long, 13 feet high and just over eight feet wide, and could hold up to 170 passengers.

Auto Tram Extra Grand

While you’re in Germany, stick around for a ride on the world’s longest bus, the mammoth  AutoTram Extra Grand . At over 100 feet long, this is the longest bus currently in service on the planet, with the capacity to transport 256 passengers. 

This vehicle runs largely on electric power and offers the convenience of a bus with the capacity of a train. Its design consists of three sections, giving it a very distinctive appearance. Initial trials of this giant bus took place in Dresden, and Shanghai and Beijing also placed orders. 

Heading to Los Angeles, your next stop is at BYD Auto Co., Ltd. for a ride on the BYD C10MS. 

At  a height of 13.4 feet , the C10MS holds the title for the tallest bus in the world. This fully electric, zero-emissions bus can seat up to 51 passengers and travel as far as 230 miles on a single charge.

If you want to try the world’s smallest bus, head to Italy and board the Tecnobus, part of the urban public transport system. Compared to a regular bus, the Tecnobus looks like a miniature. Compared to the massive AutoTram Extra Grand, it almost looks like a toy.

The comfortable standing height of 1.80 meters also ensures that all on-board travellers feel at ease. The standard equipment in the Skyliner includes the optimum ambient temperature. Our two-zone air-conditioning system provides the upper and lower decks with heat or a cool breeze, independently of each other.

In the spacious, functional kitchenette, you can prepare freshly brewed hot drinks and hot snacks for your passengers at any time. And the clever concept of LED lighting throughout the interior illuminates both levels at any time of the day and during the night, depending on your requirements.

With a volume of up to 11 m³, it offers the largest luggage compartment of all double-decker buses.

With the Skyliner, we make loading and unloading the luggage compartment as easy as possible: Thanks to an opening angle of up to 90 degrees, the luggage compartment flaps can be opened up to 2.24 meters high. Special hinges on the luggage compartment door also increase the clear width of the aisle. And the additional door inside the lower deck allows access to the luggage even during the journey.

Full control in both hands: With the multifunction steering wheel, bus drivers can quickly access all important functions while concentrating on the road traffic – and keeping their hands on the wheel.

Its multifunction buttons are ergonomically arranged on two separate control isles. Thanks to logical functional grouping, all control buttons are easily accessible within a thumb length. Access to the individual functions is possible without having to change your grip. In combination with the 12-inch digital display positioned directly behind the steering wheel, drivers have all important information at a glance while being at the helm.

A variety of adjustment positions allow the driver’s workplace to be adapted according to the driver’s height and physique.

Focused driving pleasure with the 12-inch driver’s display

One glance is enough: the fully digital and high-resolution 12-inch driver’s display enables drivers to capture all relevant information effortlessly and in the shortest possible time – thus being able to react quickly. This prevents visual overstimulation and fatigue, which helps to improve driving safety.

The colour display uses clear elements and modern 3D views to provide information on vehicle and engine speed, navigation, media and assistance system messages while displaying warnings and notices. Thanks to smart details, such as the semi-circular scaling of speedometer and rev counter with indicators moving in opposite direction, there is much more space available in the centre of the display for additional information compared to using complete dial instruments with indicators moving in the same direction.

Practical: Depending on preference, the display can be called up intuitively and conveniently via the multifunction steering wheel or the left drop arm (without multifunction steering wheel) and set individually: either in the full screen view for displaying important information such as the bus stop display in large view – or in the home screen view with central main display and alternating displays at the side.

Turns the journey into an experience: new infotainment with 7-inch media display

Exceptional infotainment is becoming increasingly important when on the road: That is why the modern MMC (MAN Media Coach) Advanced media system offers drivers and passengers an exceptional infotainment experience with a wide range of functions for audio, video, communication and navigation. Because safety is paramount, it features user-friendly, low-distraction operation.

The system has a separate 7-inch media display in the driverʼs side viewing area that visualise the media functions. It is conveniently controlled via a classic control panel, the multifunction steering wheel, SmartSelect or by voice command. Choose between the driver mode, which can be used to access and display all media, and the passenger mode, which only displays relevant content for passengers that drivers can offer them to choose from.

Practical: The integrated message centre shows current information such as incoming calls, radio stations and traffic data at the bottom of the display. In the upper area, there is a quick select menu for individually defined content such as navigation destinations or telephone contacts which can be quickly accessed via the control panel or SmartSelect.

Comfortable and intuitive operation: SmartSelect

An infotainment system is only as good as its operation: With SmartSelect, intuitive handling meets innovative comfort. Thanks to the trend-setting control unit, operating the multimedia system is a breeze, even in rough driving conditions. Ergonomic, precise and comfortable: The innovative rotary/push-button control with integrated touchpad and comfortable thumb-ball support allows for precise inputs.

While operating the SmartSelect media control system, bus drivers can remain in their usual position and keep their eyes on the road at all times, which significantly reduces distractions or accidental changes of direction. The system is even set up for bus tours at night: Thanks to its all-round lighting, it can be easily identified with just a quick glance.

Drivers can conveniently access the main menu using the large bottom rotating ring. The smaller rotating ring is used to precisely navigate through sub-menus and to select individual functions. And it is easily possible to enter letters or numbers by just tracing them onto the touchpad with oneʼs finger.

Innovative stairs solution

With the latest equipment option of the Skyliner, we arranged the front stairs on the right-hand side. The innovative staircase offers additional comfort on board with more seats, and it also speeds up getting on board and vacating the vehicle.

Faster boarding

Thanks to the stairs immediately next to the front access, your passengers can access the upper deck quickly and conveniently. This speeds up the boarding process. Both the passengers and your company will benefit from shorter waiting times when getting on board and vacating the vehicle.

Additional seats

The repositioned front stairs on the right-hand side creates more space in the passenger area. This means your Skyliner with 4-star seat layout can be equipped with two additional seats. Depending on the equipment, this can give you up to 79 seats.

More comfort for the driver

The Skyliner with staircase on the right also offers more comfort in the cockpit area: The driver now has an extra 70 mm for the seat adjustment, plus additional storage space. Additional advantage: It is no longer necessary to pass by this area to reach the upper deck.

Optimised front passenger seat

We have redesigned the front passenger seat of the Skyliner for the model with the stairs on the right-hand side: It offers the front passenger or the tour guide more comfort and improved handling. At the same time, the well-thought-out folding seat design leaves more space in the area of the entrance.

The double-decker coaches also perform at the top of their class in terms of technical features: That is because we designed the Skyliner down to the smallest detail – from the engine, transmission and suspension technology to the cost-effectiveness ratio between size, weight and use of space.

Reliable, economical, powerful and environmentally friendly: The new MAN D26 common-rail engine does a great job behind the engine compartment flap of your Skyliner. The six-cylinder in-line engine with 382 kW (520 HP) offers an outstanding consumption-performance ratio and runs smoothly and quietly. The combination of exhaust gas recirculation EGR with the SCR filter ensures a maximum reduction of pollutant emissions. Your NEOPLAN Skyliner complies with the Euro 6 emission standard. At the same time, the drive system achieves particularly low fuel consumption and thus ensures excellent travel economy.

The ingenious aerodynamic design of the Skyliner also contributes to the lower fuel consumption. And the significantly higher passenger capacity of your double-decker further adds to the overall economic viability of your coach.

Then it goes across the Red Square at the Lenin Mausoleum, the luxury department store GUM and with a view of the Kremlin towards the historical museum. Of course, you will also learn more about the stories that once happened behind the thick walls of the Kremlin – from the Tsars and Napoleon to Stalin. Then we continue through the idyllic Alexander Garden.

«First acquaintance with Moscow» – a 2.5-hour city tour in the center of Moscow

This Moscow city tour starts on the Theater Square, past Lubyanka Square and the KGB-building, then through Kitay Gorod district and Varvarka Street, past the world-famous St. Basil’s Cathedral. Then it goes across Zarjadje Park, over Red Square at the Lenin Mausoleum, the GUM-department store and towards the Historical Museum. We walk through the Alexander Garden.

A 3.5-hour car/bus tour of Moscow.

This is the best tour of Moscow city as all the important sights are visited. I am your Moscow city guide who will walk you through the city explaining the charming history of the city. This tour begins with picking you up from the hotel. 3 breaks are offered for photographing.

First, we will visit the most famous riverside streets and bridges in the center of the city with the most beautiful views of the Kremlin and the Moskva River (e.g. the Kremlin embankment and the Great Stone Bridge).

The first photo break is made at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. We then pass by the district with numerous museums, Prechistinka Street and the district with numerous medical areas.

We again stop at the Novodevichy Convent, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the other bank of the Moskva River to click pictures.

Then we visit “Sparrow Hills” where you can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the city of Moscow from the observation deck. Then there are the skyscrapers of Moscow-City, the Kutuzov avenue, the New Arbat, Tverskaya Street, the world-famous Bolshoi Theater, the KGB building and Varvarka Street. Here there are ample spots to click pictures.

We then drive past the Kremlin again and finally reach Red Square. We take a short tour of Red Square and say goodbye in the Alexander Garden.

Metro tour – daily

Palaces for ordinary people – that was what Stalin promised to the people when the construction of the Moscow Metro began between the World Wars. The communist dictator hadn’t promised too much. No other underground system in the world can boast such spectacular architecture – chandeliers, decorations, stucco, paintings on the walls – each station is individually designed. No wonder that Moscow residents love their metro. I will guide you through the bustle of one of the busiest subways in the world and show you the most beautiful stations Moscow city has.

Tour of Communist Moscow – every day

After the Communist October Revolution in 1918, Moscow became the capital of the Soviet Empire and was the center of socialist orbit for more than 70 years. This left its mark on Moscow, even if the USSR disintegrated more than a quarter of a century ago. The city streets are full of remnants of the communist regime and the Cold War. This is a walking tour where I will show you the most exciting places in Soviet Moscow: from the notorious KGB headquarters, also known as Lubyanka to the Karl Marx Monument to small hidden remains from the time of hammer and sickle. You will also learn about Stalin’s Great Terror political campaign and the system of the GULAG and how the USSR, the communist Russian republic, became modern Russia.

Alternative Moscow Tour – daily

To learn a little more about Moscow’s culture, this is the tour for you. On my alternative tour, you will get to know Moscow away from the tourist hotspots. With its 20 towers and high walls, the Kremlin rises imposingly over Red Square. This world-famous fortress with its area of ​​28 hectares is home to over 800 years of Russian history. Described as the eighth wonder of the world, this historic fortress complex is the principal symbol of Russia that sits on the banks of the Moscow River. Today the Kremlin still harbors numerous secrets and has palaces and cathedrals, surrounded by Kremlin Wall. The current wall was constructed between the 15 th  and 16 th  centuries, but the original wall was made of wood around the year 1147. The Kremlin Wall became an important symbol of Moscow’s importance in the Russian Empire. A military tour – riding on tanks in Stupino (Moscow region)

Russian Military is one of the largest military forces in the world formed in 1992. With my Military Tour experience what it likes to be in the Russian military, shooting guns, ride the Tank T-34 and various models of German tanks from the Second World War, as well as armored personnel carriers and vehicles. You will also shoot from the AK-47 and another combat weapon.

The tour will begin with your private tour guide Moscow in a Soviet army van accompanied with some tasty snacks and tea for a tasty start. Upon arriving, you will have to put on the army safety clothing and climb the Russian armored vehicles. The tour will take you on the noisy, smoky tank, driving through mud roads. All participants will get the chance to drive the tank which is coordinated by the Russian military.
