6. Forza Horizon 4 Fortune Island

Fortune Island

Fortune Island is the name of the first DLC for Forza Horizon 4 . This DLC features stormy weather, a wild island, plenty of jumps and tight corners. You'll get to live an adventure while looking for some fortune! It's a short DLC, containing 24 achievements that'll take 6-8 hours to unlock.

To play it, just scroll to the east shore of the map and select the big "Fortune Island" icon. A video will start and you'll be teleported to Fortune Island where you'll have to race to Festival Hub. As soon as you arrive, you'll unlock:

Set up the Horizon Festival on Fortune Island.

Now, the Fortune Island career requires you to complete races and PR Stunts all across the island in order to reach higher rounds in the race for the title of "Island Conqueror". There are ten of them in total, once you get past the first round, you'll unlock:

Reach Round Two of the Island Conqueror.

Every time you gain access to a new round, you'll be told a riddle and need to find out which car to use and where to use it in order to solve it. If you guess correctly, you'll find a circled zone on the map (similar to barn finds) in which a treasure is hidden. If you find and smash it you'll earn 1m CR each time.

There are ten riddles in total. They are detailed below along with what you need to do to 'answer' them and reveal the circled zone:

• Pillars of Gold - Ferrari 458 Italia - Get 1 star on Needle Climb Drift Zone
• The Swiftest Chariot - Ford Mustang GT Coupe 1965 - Get 1 star on Viking Bay Trailblazer
• From Ruins to Riches - Morgan 3 wheeler 2014 - Get 1 star on Fenholm Ruins Danger Sign
• The Sword in the Stone - Audi R8 V10 Plus 2016 - Get 3 stars on Lady of the Lake Speed Trap
• Light of the Lantern - Willys MB Jeep 1945 - Get 1 star on Will-O'-The-Wisp Speed Zone
• Dew of the Ash Tree - Lamborghini LM002 1986 - Get 1 star on the Forest Run Trailblazer
• The Skildar Hoard - Volvo Iron Knight 2016 - Get 1 star on Lakeside Speed Zone
• Of Fame and Fortune - Kia Stinger 2018 - Get 3 stars on Mountainside Speed Trap
• Risk and Reward - Chevrolet Nova Super Sport 1966 - Get 1 star on Skildar Watch Danger Sign

I would strongly recommend tuning the cars before attempting some of the above PR stunts. For example, it isn't possible to three star 'Of Fame and Fortune' without upgrading the Kia. Look for the most highly rated tune in the hub or one specifically designed for the event.

For solving all the riddles, you'll earn three achievements along the way:

Find/Smash your first Treasure Chest.

Find/Smash 5 Treasure Chests.

Find/Smash all 10 Treasure Chests.

Carry on beating races, three starring PR stunts and when you've gained enough influence, you'll unlock these at each milestone:

Reach Round Five of the Island Conqueror.

Reach Round Ten of the Island Conqueror.

You'll then unlock the last two races and if you manage to beat them you'll get:

Come First in the Fortune Island Finale Races - The Leviathan and The Kraken.

There are also achievements tied to PR Stunts, just the same as the 'main game'.

Continue to use your familiar Lamborghini, Ariel and Formula Drift cars to earn three stars at every PR Stunt. Once you gain three stars on each PR Stunt type, you'll unlock an achievement for each one. If you get stuck, video's to each PR stunt are below, courtesy of Dec Games and OCG.

Drift Zones need you to score a certain amount of drifting points. These are very easy. Rewind if needed during a good run where you get caught out on a bad ending. These will all take persistence, if you get stuck, change to another PR stunt. Make full use of your rewinds if you have an a mazing first part of a run and mess up the ending to give yourself lots of chances. Always remember what the target score is.

Once you have three stars on all Fortune Island drift zones, you'll unlock:

Get 3 Stars on every Drift Zone on Fortune Island.

On Fortune Island we are introduced to a new type of PR stunt, Trailblazers . These require you to travel from a starting point on the map to another in a certain amount of time. When you earn your first star from a Trailblazer stunt, you'll unlock:

Earn at least 1 star at a Trailblazer Gate.

Once you have three stars on all Fortune Island trailblazers, you'll unlock:

Get 3 Stars on every Trailblazer Gate on Fortune Island.

Speed Zones need you to maintain a certain average speed. A video covering the Fortune Island speed zones is below:

Once you have three stars on all Fortune Island speed zones, you'll unlock:

Get 3 Stars on every Speed Zone on Fortune Island.

Speed Traps need you to pass them at the maximum speed possible. A video covering the Fortune Island speed traps is below:

Once you have three stars on all Fortune Island speed traps, you'll unlock:

Get 3 Stars on every Speed Trap on Fortune Island.

Danger Signs need you to jump and land as far as possible while beating the three star target score. A video covering the Fortune Island danger signs is below:

Once you have three stars on all Fortune Island danger signs, you'll unlock:

Get 3 Stars on every Danger Sign on Fortune Island.

Seasonal Championships are also present on Fortune Island. Thankfully they function just the same as in the main game. For the first time you complete one on Fortune Island, you'll unlock:

Complete a Seasonal Championship on Fortune Island.

#Forzathon LIVE events are also present on the island. You'll know the drill with these by now and hopefully the other players taking part will too. Once you complete one #Forzathon LIVE event on Fortune Island, you'll unlock:

Complete Round 3 of a #Forzathon Live Event on Fortune Island.

Additionally, a new Horizon Story is available on the island, based on drifting. It's called 'Drift Club 2.0' and is located in the North of the map. It's composed by seven chapters, by now you should have a very good feel with drifting so these are not too difficult, the 3 star scores are as follows:

• #777 Nissan 240SX - 190,000
• #98 BMW 325i - 300,000
• #118 Nissan 240SX - 250,000
• #43 Dodge Viper SRT10 - 500,000
• #13 Ford Mustang - 450,000
• 2#32 Nissan 240SX - 1,000,000

Once you've obtained three stars in all seven chapters, you'll unlock:

Earn 21 Stars in Drift Club on Fortune Island.

Now let's talk about some miscellaneous achievements.

If you have driven around and explored every road on Fortune Island, you'll earn:

Drive every Road in Fortune Island.

There are some achievements related to the new cars introduced with the Fortune Island DLC, which require you to beat some specific challenges. Most of these cars you'll have got for free, but if not you can buy these from the auction house where they'll be much cheaper than at the autoshow. Remember to tune each car with the highest rated tunes before you try these challenges and you'll do these with ease. Video is included below each description.

For completing 'The Kraken' in less than six minutes in the Saleen S5S Raptor:

For getting three stars on the Needle Fall Danger Sign in the Morris Minor Traveller:

For completing 'The Leviathan' in less than eight minutes in the Ford Fiesta ST RX43:

For getting a time of 40 seconds or better in the Exomotive Exocet at the Halcyon Point Trailblazer Gate:

Finally, there is a homage to our beloved Peel P50, which we already used in the main game. For the following achievement you are required to three s tar The Forest Run Trailblazer Gate using the aforementioned vehicle. This is the only slightly difficult achievement in this DLC . You need to keep your car heading straight for the destination, cutting through woodland and rewinding if you crash into any trees. The time is tight on this one.

Synopsis [ ]

It was essentially the successor company of WRM Motors, founded by William Morris in 1912; Morris Motors was founded in 1919 to take over WRM Motors's assets but produce the same vehicles.

The company was merged into the British Motor Corporation in 1952, along with MG , Riley and Wolseley; however, the Morris marque was unaffected, as BMC continued to use the Morris name for many years to come. The last known use of the Morris name for a passenger car was in 1984, when the Morris Ital was discontinued as BMC wanted to concentrate on the Austin brand; ironically, the Austin brand would be discontinued a number of years later.

The very last known usage of the Morris name was on a van version of the Austin Metro , which was produced until 1987 when the marque was abandoned completely. The rights to the name are currently held by Nanjing Automobile.

Anything else to think about.

I'm looking at the £100 return cheap fares from Easyjet. A two day trip.

2 (full) days is just about okay to see the main attractions: Red Square , Kremlin, Bolshoi Theatre, Christ the Saviour Cathedral, Tretyakov Gallery, the Novodevichy Convent, and of course the metro.

Language barrier is massive, even for me who has been studying Russian for 2 years now. Don't expect good communication. Metro is in Russian only (or mainly anyway). Best thing to do in this case is have a map with you and locate your hotel on it as well as the attractions you want to see. You will need to be on the correct line (colours) and subsequently I suggest you count the stops. If you have any concrete questions in this respect, I will gladfully help. Depending which line you start from, there are various stations servicing Red Square for example.

BUT, it is an adventure I can guarantee. And a lot of fun.

PS: don't forget you need visa.

It's not quite half way around the world.......the visa alone will set you back nearly £100. Take a map and a phrase book. Have the name of the hotel you plan to stay a written down in Russian, English may not be widely spoken, but there are those that do.

Im going in two weeks with easyjet so will let you know although going onto beijing after. Are there no station names in english on the metro? I guess getting a cyrillic tube map would be a good idea
