Avenged Sevenfold announce 2024 North American tour with Poppy and Sullivan King

Avenged Sevenfold are taking Life Is But A Dream… back out across North America in March, with support coming from Poppy and Sullivan King.

Avenged Sevenfold have announced a spring 2024 tour of North America – the third leg of their Life Is But A Dream… run.

The metal heroes will be joined by a very cool supporting cast of Poppy and Sullivan King for these March shows. General sale tickets are available from this Friday, December 1 at 10am, though the band’s Deathbats Club and TicketPass system will be going live from today (Tuesday, November 28) at 10pm ET.

“TicketPass will by no means cost anyone any money, you won’t have to get involved in cryptocurrency, you won’t have to do any of these things that people feel uncomfortable with, and the token that we’re going to be using is on the Polygon network – an environmentally-friendly blockchain,” explains frontman M. Shadows. “We want to roll something out to the rest of our fanbase without them having to opt into a full fan club experience that is strictly for tickets and ensuring our fans get the best tickets they desire first.

“At the end of the day, we want to know your feedback on if this worked well for you, and we will take notes and mold this for you. Look at this as a frequent flier miles type of program – with Avenged Sevenfold, we will be breaking these passes into ‘tiers’ over time and rewarding the people who have been participating the most in our A7X ecosystem (with merchandise, listening habits, music consumption, live events, and other metrics).”

Avenged Sevenfold has announced a 2024 tour in continued support of their latest album, Life Is but a Dream...

The headlining outing kicks off March 6 in Buffalo, New York, and wraps up March 31 in Newark, New Jersey.

Tickets go on sale Friday, December 1, at 10 a.m. local time. Members of A7X's Deathbats fan club can request presale tickets through Tuesday, November 28, at 10 p.m. ET.

Life Is but a Dream... , the follow-up to 2016's The Stage , was released in June. It includes the singles "Nobody" and "Mattel."

Avenged Sevenfold Kick Off 2024 ‘Life Is But a Dream’ Tour – Setlist, Photos + Video

Avenged Sevenfold have officially started their 2024 touring with a kickoff show Wednesday night (March 6) at Buffalo's Keybank Center.

Opening night brought a few surprises, including two live debuts as well as three additional songs that hadn't been performed by the band in quite some time.

The group used their opening night to give "Roman Sky" its live debut about midway through the band's set. Then, to finish out the evening, they performed the song "Cosmic" live for the first time as their encore.

In addition, "Shepherd of Fire" found its way into the set for the first time since 2018, and the group went even deeper trotting out "Blinded in Chains" (first time since 2006 and first time with Brooks Wackerman on drums) and "Save Me" (which hadn't been performed since 2011 and also was a Wackerman first).

Avenged Sevenfold are being hailed for their boundary-pushing 2023 album, Life Is But a Dream , and the new tour gives the band a platform to share those songs live. This current tour run spans 30 dates in total.

That show, in SLC Utah, was phenomenal. They're just amazing people who worked so hard and got where they deserve to be. I enjoyed watching the result of their hard work, and I plan to watch more shows that come around. I want to see them succeed more and accomplish more stuff in the future. They're such great people, amazing artists, great role models for aspiring musicians everywhere, and (by the twitter videos) they're amazing parents. I'll always be a death bat, not only for their music but for them as human beings. God Damn.

Well, I'm not sure which show I'm supposed to review, so I'll do both. I saw them on Friday at shoreline amphitheater and then on Monday at golden one center. For the 1st show we had lawn tickets, it was still good. This was my 6th time seeing them. It was my 13 year old son's 1st concert. They always put on an excellent show.

Mondays show was the best one I've been to,my 7th time seeing them , because we were right up front on the floor. It was awesome. The crowd gets pretty aggressive, but I already knew that. I ended up being pulled out from security for trying to break up a fight, so that wasn't fun, but nothing against the band, they rocked.

What an amazing live performance. They kept the audience engaged the entire time. I'm not their biggest fan but there was a few songs that I wish had been on the set list that weren't. Then again, that's just my preference. Regardless, Matt has an amazing voice and I was blown away. The only thing that bothered me was that the sound mix seemed a bit off which sucks because that's obviously not the band's fault. At first the bass was so low that anytime the guitars started playing harmonies the sound got really thin/empty. Also I thought that Synyster was playing sloppily (which I would have been extremely surprised if that was the case) because some parts in his solos seemed inaudible but I finally realized that the guitars were getting smothered in the mix. I only notice this stuff because I play in a band and do live shows myself so it probably didn't bother too many people besides me. Overall, 10/10 live performance, and I would totally go see them again. (Hopefully at another venue)

Avenged Sevenfold have announced a 2024 North American tour.

The trek kicks off March 6th in Buffalo, New York, and runs through March 31st in Newark, New Jersey, hitting numerous markets across the Midwest in between. Poppy and Sullivan King will provide support, with Vended filling in for Sullivan King on the March 16th date in Lincoln, Nebraska.

A Live Nation ticket pre-sale goes live Thursday (November 30th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code BACKSTAGE . General ticket sales start Friday (December 1st) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster .

Fans can also look for deals or get tickets to sold-out dates via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.

Rocklahoma announces packed 2024 lineup: Avenged Sevenfold, Evanescence, Disturbed, Slipknot

A fter a record-breaking 2023, the Rocklahoma music and camping festival is returning for 2024 with what's billed as its biggest lineup yet, including headliners Avenged Sevenfold, Evanescence , Disturbed, A Day To Remember, Slipknot and Lamb of God.

Set for Aug. 30 through Sept. 1 at the Rockin Red Dirt Ranch in Pryor, the newly announced lineup also includes top rock and metal bands like Halestorm , Mastodon, Anthrax, Skillet , Clutch, Nothing More, Kerry King, Coal Chamber and Tom Keifer , among others.

Nicknamed "America’s Biggest Labor Day Party," Rocklahoma drew 70,000 fans from across the country last year.

Here's what you need to know about this year's festival:

Who else is playing Rocklahoma 2024?

Now in its 18th year, Rocklahoma was established in 2007 as a destination music event and has grown to become a cornerstone in the rock music festival circuit, drawing fans from all over the globe to experience its party atmosphere.

Hosted annually by Eddie Trunk, Rocklahoma 2024 will mark the festival debut of hard rockers Avenged Sevenfold , who are touring in support of their 2023 album "Life Is But a Dream," and the return to headlining slots at the Pryor event for Disturbed and Slipknot.

Avenged Sevenfold and Evanescence will headline the festival on Friday, Aug. 30, while Disturbed and A Day To Remember will top the bill on Saturday, Aug. 31. Slipknot and Lamb of God are the Sunday, Sept. 1 headliners.

Other performers on the lineup for the three-day music fest include Badflower, Pop Evil, Giovannie & The Hired Guns , Bad Wolves, Winger, Faster Pussycat, Vixen, Set It Off, The Warning, Kim Dracula, Tim Montana, Austin Meade , The Plot In You, Des Rocs, Oxymorrons, Holy Wars, Any Given Sin, Enuff Z'nuff, Atomic Punks , Eva Under Fire, Another Day Dawns, Raven's Banquet , Skarlett Roxx, Surge, Eyebolt, Dime Store Riot, Color of Chaos and Ten Cent Revenge.

The 2024 Rocklahoma festivities will kick off with the campgrounds opening on Sunday, Aug. 25, and all festival attendees with a weekend pass are invited to the Thursday, Aug. 29 official Rocklahoma Pre-Party at The Roadhouse on the festival grounds. The pre-party will feature performances from Keifer, Faster Pussycat, Skarlett Roxx and Eyebolt.

The Roadhouse also will feature food trucks, a full-service bar and gathering places for ticketholders.

Rocklahoma — along with Pryor's Born & Raised Festival — is returning for 2024 under new ownership.

Danny Wimmer Presents, billed as the largest independent live event producer in the UnitedStates, has announced the acquisition of the two Oklahoma music events.

The first Born & Raised Festival took place in 2021, and the September event showcases Texas country, Red Dirt, outlaw country and Americana acts. The 2024 festival is set for Sept. 13-15 in Pryor.

The Danny Wimmer Presents festival portfolio includes events like Welcome To Rockville, Sonic Temple, Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Bourbon & Beyond and GoldenSky.

The Danny Wimmer Presents (aka DWP) team has vowed to continue to work with Pryor Creek Music Festivals, the original creators of Rocklahoma and Born & Raised, with many key stakeholders remaining involved in both events in 2024 and beyond, according to the announcement.

"This marks a significant milestone for Rocklahoma and Born & Raised," said Dave Giencke, founder, vice president and general manager for Pryor Creek Music Festivals, in a statement. "We are optimistic about the bright future ahead. Though the decision wasn't made lightly, we believe DWP shares our aspirations for both Rocklahoma and Born & Raised. My wife Sharon and I are committed to remaining actively involved, ensuring our vision and aspirations continue to thrive for years to come."

How can people get tickets to Rocklahoma 2024?

Rocklahoma weekend VIP and General Admission passes, as well as camping and glamping add-ons, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 5 at www.Rocklahoma.com . Passes start as low as $10 or 10% down on layaway, according to a news release.

Prior to the public onsale, fans can gain access to the Rocklahoma presale to secure the guaranteed lowest price by signing up for the Rocklahoma newsletter .

Limited quantities of Groupie, Roadie, and Rockstar Reserved VIP Packages, along with ultra VIP packagesincluding the Big Shot Porch, Big Shot Penthouse, and Garage Cabana VIP packages are also available. Fans can go to Rocklahoma.com for details and to purchase passes. All weekend passes are for Thursday, Aug. 29 through Sunday, Sept. 1.

Single-day passes will go on sale in the coming weeks.

Along with the music, Rocklahoma also is known for its festival campgrounds, with multiple options throughout the festival site, including “glamping” opportunities. The campgrounds are a unique part of the Rocklahoma experience and will be open from Sunday, Aug. 25 through Tuesday, Sept. 3.

“Glamping” sites are open Thursday, Aug. 30 through Monday, Sept. 2.

AVENGED SEVENFOLD close North American tour with a bang: See epic photos

Avenged Sevenfold concluded their latest run of Life Is but a Dream... dates in Newark, New Jersey, last night (March 31st), turning the Prudential Center into Bat Country in the process.

The third leg of the band's Life Is but a Dream... tour had been spotlighting both newer tunes and deep cuts that hadn't been played on the road in 2023 — from insta-classic "Cosmic" to the reintroduction of Nightmare's "Save Me" into the setlist for the first time in more than a decade.

The package tour included eclectic mix of opening acts: metal-loving EDM artist Sullivan King and post-genre auteur Poppy set the stage for A7X's free-wheeling and hard-hitting 15-song set , which captivated the crowd complete with psychedelic lights and projections.

After a record-breaking 2023, Rocklahoma returns Friday, August 30, Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1 to Rockin Red Dirt Ranch in Pryor, Oklahoma — just outside Tulsa — with its biggest lineup yet.
