  • Book your tickets online to avoid long queues at the stadium.
  • Select your the time slot that best suits your vacation schedule.
  • Tickets include a visit to the FC Barcelona Museum, where you’ll get to know FC Barcelona’s history.

Tickets & Prices

There are four ticket types for the Camp Nou Experience: Standard adult tickets, tickets for seniors/pensioners, students, and children. Children under the age of 6 enter for free – but you must book their place.

The Camp Nou Experience is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Barcelona. The FC Barcelona Museum, which is included in the tour, is Barcelona’s most popular museum, receiving close to 2 million visitors a year – that’s why it’s important to book ahead to guarantee your visiting times and to avoid the long lines at the Stadium.

You also have the opportunity to benefit from a special combo discount if you get your Camp Nou Tour tickets together with the Barcelona Hop On Hop Off Bus pass. The Hop on Hop off is the best way to get around the city and view all its most important monuments.

What to see and do

Befitting a club of the stature of FC Barcelona, there is much to see and do on your visit to Camp Nou. With your ticket you’ll get to visit…

The Mighty Playing Field

Look out over the 105m by 68m pitch and gaze up at the 48m high stands and you’ll get to feel what it’s like to be a player for FC Barcelona on match-day. You can also visit the benches, where coaches and the team sit and strategize during the game.

The Commentators’ Boxes

Perched up in the rafters, the commentators’ boxes offer the best view of the entire stadium and the playing field. Many famous TV and radio personalities have spent hours on hours here, helping fans at home feel the hype and the ambience of the game from afar.

The Visitors’ Dressing Room

Unfortunately, the home dressing room is off limits to visitors, but you will get to see the visitors dressing room. All of the world’s most famous teams have come been through here: Real Madrid, Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Milan, and dozens of others.

The FC Barcelona Museum

Over the years, Barcelona has collected hundreds of trophies from many different competitions. They’re all on display here, as well as many mementos from the club’s past. If you want to get to know FC Barcelona’s history a little better this is the place to do so.

Did you know: (four interesting facts!)

  • Did you know that it’s the largest stadium in Europe? The Camp Nou has a capacity of just over 99,000 spectators and the current expansion plan, to be completed in 2021, will increase that to 105,000.
  • The first player to score a goal at the Camp Nou was Eulogio Martinez, a popular Paraguayan striker for Barcelona during the 50’s and 60’s.
  • The stadium was built to accommodate the massive crowds attracted by the popularity of Laszlo Kubala, Barcelona’s first true star player. The old stadium of Les Corts was too small to fit all the fans that wanted to see the Hungarian play.
  • Barcelona won its one-thousandth game in the Camp Nou in November of 2014, a 5-1 victory over Sevilla including a hat trick by Leo Messi

How do you get to the camp nou stadium by metro.

The stadium can easily be reached by metro . The closest metro stop for visiting the stadium tour is metro stop 'Palau Reial' of the green metro line 3. From this stop, you only have to walk to the end of the 'Carrer de Marti i Franques' street. After 500 metres, you'll reach the entrance for the Camp Nou Experience.

An alternative stop is metro stop 'Collblanc', of metro line 5. Turn into the street 'Travessera de les Corts' and follow it for about 300 metres. However, you will still need to get to the other side of the football stadium. Go left and follow the stadium premises. This stop is a better choice if you're visiting a match of FC Barcelona, as the gates at the side will be open then.

Camp Nou FAQ

Answers to your most frequently asked questions about the Camp Nou visit.

Yes, it is necessary to book the visit to Camp Nou as soon as possible. The number of tickets is limited for sanitary reasons (Covid19) but also to guarantee the comfort of the visitors. Our advice is to buy your ticket on this page as soon as you know the dates of your stay in Barcelona. However, you can also buy tickets at the stadium's ticket office, but you will have to wait in a queue and you will not be sure to get your ticket in the end.

The entrance for the Camp Nou visit closes one hour and a half before the official closing time of the whole site. This is the ideal time to visit the stadium and the museum. For example, if the official closing time is 7:30pm, you must arrive at 6pm to do the tour.

The average length of the visit to the Camp Nou - stadium and museum - is between 1h30 and 2h. None of the tours are time-limited, so you can stay as long as you like!

No, the price of the ticket at the stadium ticket office is higher than the ticket purchased online because it includes additional management fees. On the other hand, Camp Nou advises buying your ticket online in order to avoid queues depending on the availability of the different time slots.

Yes, you can show your Camp Nou tour ticket on your smartphone or tablet.

Unfortunately not. Once the "Camp Nou Experience" tickets have been issued, it will not be possible to postpone the visit, cancel it or get a refund.

The entrance to the Camp Nou Tour - stadium and museum - is in front of the FC Barcelona ice rink. The access is between the Barça Café and the Barça Store Camp Nou.

Yes and no, on match days, some of the Barça facilities are reserved for the match. The full tour or guided tours are not possible:

  • The museum will be open.
  • You will have access to the Gallery of Trophies, the history of the Club, and the Messi Area.
  • You will be able to enjoy a panoramic view of the field, until 3 hours before kickoff.

>> Note that there is a discount on the price of tickets for the Camp Nou on match days - this discount is shown when you select the number of tickets.

Please note: On Champions League days, this restriction extends from the day before as well as the price reduction applies.

Unfortunately you will not attend a training match of the Barcelona football club players during the visit of the Camp Nou. Since 2008 the training is no longer done at Camp Nou but at La Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper which is located in Sant Joan Despi, 8.5 kilometers from Camp Nou. These training sessions are not open to the public. The only way to meet the champions now is to go to the Mini Estadi around January 5 of each year, date on which the blaugranas train for the only time of the year in public. The entrance ticket is 10€. Ticket to be found on the spot that day. (Check the date of this match which may be moved due to Liga calendar).

The visit of the Camp Nou is not suitable for the people in wheelchair due to a very large number of stairs throughout the course. Nevertheless the museum with the trophy room, the historical frieze, the Messi space as well as the panoramic view of the stadium are wheelchair-friendly.

The club also offers a special service for the disabled - The Specialized Services Office (OAE) available on +34 902 1899 00

How to Visit Camp Nou: Barcelona Stadium Visit Info 2024

a view of the pitch at camp nou barcelona

Wanna know how to visit Camp Nou? Camp Nou Stadium tours can take this already historic stadium to a new level.

Home to legendary FC Barcelona, aside from taking the field yourself (you actually can!) the Nou Camp tour is the best way to experience world class football.

In fact, this Barcelona stadium tour is the second biggest tourist attraction in Catalonia behind the epic Sagrada Familia.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to visit Nou Camp in one handy guide.

Can You Visit Camp Nou?

ATTENTION (01/29/24): On May 29th 2023 Camp Nou started an aggressive renovation project. During the renovation it won’t be possible to book traditional Camp Nou tours. There is only one, which I’ll get to below.

Yes, you can visit Camp Nou, the iconic home stadium of FC Barcelona.

There are several ways to visit Barcelona football stadium:

  • Camp Nou Immersive Tour : This is the only way to visit Camp Nou in 2024 . It includes access to the museum, an audio guide, some looks into the construction, and the Spotify Camp Nou Live immersive room.
  • Match Days : Attending a live football match at Camp Nou is an incredible experience, but in 2024 you won’t be able to! They’re currently playing at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys until November 2024.
  • Guided Tours : Opt for a guided tour if you want a more in-depth and informative visit. These will return in November 2024!
  • VIP Experience : For a premium visit, consider VIP packages that offer exclusive access, premium seating, and hospitality services.

How to Visit Camp Nou: Visiting Barcelona Football Stadium

Again, from June 7th 2023 the only tickets you can get to visit Camp Nou are for the Immersive Tour .

This includes the museum visit with an English audio guide + access to the audiovisual space Spotify Camp Nou Live.

You’ll find many online ticket resellers, but we recommend relying on our collaborator Tiqets, which help us to keep this blog (which we’ve dedicated 1000’s of hours to) free.

Here’s a link to book the only current Camp Nou tour left:

Every Camp Nou booking helps us get closer to doing this blog for a living, so thank you 🙏

Visit Nou Camp: The Museum

It’s here in this modern and interactive space that you appreciate just how good this club is.

You’ll start off listening to the team anthem with a translation in just about any language needed.

It’s in the museum where you can flip through touch screens with tons of info on the club’s greatest players. You’ll also get a great snapshot into the team’s history watching a video presentation of some of the club’s biggest moments on a massive screen.

⚠️  Warning ⚠️ : Barcelona’s top two attractions must now be booked in advance .

You can book fast track tickets to both individually or get them as part of a discount pass:

  • ⛪ Buy now:  Sagrada Familia Fast Track Admission (skip the lines)
  • 🏞️ Buy now:  Park Guell Fast Track Admission  (skip the lines)
  • 🎟️  Buy now: Best of Barcelona Bundle (Sagrada + Park Guell + 10% discount code for all else)

You will not be able to book these tickets on site – lock in your tickets ASAP or you could miss out.

You can visit Barcelona football stadium and take a selfie with the 22 League trophies and 4 Champions League trophies .

There’s just a ton of memorabilia and equipment spanning the club’s 100+ years of history.

Top it all off with a visit to the largest official FC Barcelona team shop.

Camp Nou Visit Prices

Adding the camp nou museum audio guide.

The audio guide to visit Nou Camp, available in English , is not included in the standard ticket and  must be added during the booking .

It costs €6.00 and I recommend it only to those who are truly interested in curiosities about Barça.

You can request earphones or bring your own headphones .

The duration of the audio guide is about 1 hour and is concentrated in the museum part, so if you are accompanied by someone who has little patience, perhaps it is not for you.

During this visit of Barcelona Football Stadium it’ll go into deep detail about:

  • Paulino Alcantara’s shoes (the first Messi of 1910)
  • The history of the first FC Barcelona stadium
  • What happened during the Franco dictatorship
  • Anecdotes about the goalscorer Kubala in the 1950s
  • The construction of Camp Nou
  • Tidbits about Johan Cruijff, Maradona, Ronaldinho, and Messi

guest scoring a goal against the robokeeper on the camp nou tour in barcelona spain

This is our favorite part of the Camp Nou visit! Here you can try to beat the world’s best keeper – which is actually a robot.

Three shots cost €6 . 00 and you can pay it straight to the guy at the start of the queue.

There’s really only one way to score here, and that’s burying it Beckham-style into the top corner 😉

In fact, there’s a video online of Messi and Neymar missing – so good luck!

Oscar naturally buried his first shot, then decided to retire.

Final score: Barcelona Hacks 1 – FC Barcelona 0.

Camp Nou Visiting Hours

FC Barça stadium tour opening hours and accessibility vary depending on scheduled matches (more info below).

Once you’ve entered there is no time limit on your Camp Nou visit, as long as it’s within the opening hours.

Last entry is 90 minutes before closing time.

Entrances times are staggered every 30 minutes (9:30, 10:00, 10:30 etc.).

The stadium portion of the Camp Nou tour is closed to visitors the day of La Liga matches.

For Champion’s League matches the stadium is closed both the day before and day of the match.

In both cases only the museum and the stadium panorama (until 6 pm) remain open.

  • If there’s a chance of rain dress accordingly (the stadium has no roof!).
  • Get the audio guide for the full experience.

Camp Nou Stadium Tour History

By the late 1940’s rising football power FC Barcelona had outgrown the Camp de Les Corts and needed a new stadium to house all the new fans generated by star striker Ladislao Kubala .

Cue the aptly named Camp Nou (‘New Camp’).

The city broke ground on this UEFA five star stadium on March 28th, 1954.

When the last brick was laid Camp Nou had a capacity of 99,354 . The ground was set for some of the greatest teams in football history to frustrate opponents – like hated rivals Real Madrid.

Long before any tours of Camp Nou the stadium hosted the Olympics, World Cup (with 120,000 spectators including added standing tickets), the Champions League Final , and even the Pope.

A €600 million Camp Nou renovation project is currently underway – but the games go on!

So, make sure to make your Barcelona football stadium visit in 2024 count 🙂

  • January 29, 2020 at 9:02 pm Emma Pomells Firstly ... your site is incredible!!! My son is a huge Messi fan so will probably want the the whole FC barça card ticket. However as I am just tagging along, and definitely not joining in with a virtual training session, can I just buy a standard open ticket and be allowed to go wherever he goes?? Thanks Emma Reply
  • November 20, 2019 at 3:22 am spankwire The Camp Nou is the biggest football stadium in Europe, and it has been the setting for countless dramatic moments and wild celebrations. If you are a fan of FC Barcelona (or football in general) you will relish the opportunity to visit the stadium when it is empty. You will be able to enjoy getting up close to the trophy gallery and European cups while learning more about the master himself, Lionel Messi. Reply
  • September 12, 2019 at 1:27 pm Lucile Hola Brandi, I will advise you to go there on your arrival date in order to have the full experience, moreover if your sons are huge fans. If necessary, the stadium has a locker where you can leave your luggage and bags. Anyway, I'm sure your sons will still be more than happy with only the museum and the match ;) On a Champion's League match day you can access to the museum and panoramic view until 3 pm. Cheers, Lucile Reply

Visual Story : 12 must-know tips before visiting Camp Nou

Barcelona Stadium guided tour

You can buy Barcelona Camp Nou tickets online, or you can buy from the ticketing window at Gate No. 9 of the Stadium.

For the best Camp Nou tour experience, we recommend you buy the tickets online.

There are four distinct advantages of booking your Camp Nou Stadium tour online.

1. Avoid the queue

If you decide to buy tickets for the Barca Experience from the Stadium, you must stand in a queue at the Gate No. 9 ticketing counter.

Depending on the season and time of the day, you may have to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours in the line.

Camp Nou Tour Tickets

You can avoid this waiting time if you buy your tickets online.

Bonus: If for some reason, you didn’t heed to our advice and are now standing in Camp Nou’s ticketing queue, check out these interesting Camp Nou facts

2. Ticket prices are discounted

Yes, you read that right – if you buy your Camp Nou tickets online, you get a discount on the ticket.

When you buy Barcelona Camp Nou tickets at the venue, you get charged 2.5 Euros extra for every ticket.

This ‘extra’ you end up paying is called the handling charge (also known as the window surcharge).

When you buy online, you don’t pay this surcharge and hence end up with a 2.5 Euros discount on every ticket.

Save money, buy Camp Nou Tour tickets online .

3. Avoid the wait for your time slot

Tickets issued at Camp Nou have a time mentioned on them.

And you can only start your Tour Camp Nou at the time specified on your ticket.

If you don’t purchase your tickets online, these timed tickets result in additional waiting time during crowded days.

Let us explain how:

Let’s say you reach Camp Nou Stadium at 2 pm.

You stand in the queue at the ticketing counter for a half-hour and get your tickets at 2.30 pm.

But because of the crowd, the next available time slot is 3.30 pm (this time gets printed on your tickets).

Now, you will have to wait for an hour before you can start the Camp Nou Experience tour.

When you book your ticket online, you can avoid this waiting by arriving at the Camp Nou entrance in time for your tour to start.

4. No need to do research on match days

Camp Nou tour gets affected when matches are scheduled at the stadium.

For Champions League matches

When a Champions League match is scheduled, the Camp Nou tour gets affected on two days – one day before the game (for preparation) and the day of the game.

On both days, you can visit the FC Barcelona Museum, the Trophy Room, and Messi’s Zone till 3 pm.

But this is only half the experience, so we don’t recommend visiting on match days.

For La Liga & Copa del Rey matches

The Camp Nou tours get canceled when La Liga and Copa del Rey matches get scheduled.

How booking online helps

When you buy Camp Nou tour tickets online, you can’t book on match days.

Thus, you don’t have to do your independent research on match days.

You also won’t land up at the stadium’s Gate No. 9 to buy tickets on a matchday only to be turned away.

Save yourself a lot of trouble, buy Camp Nou tickets online .

Camp Nou has been FC Barcelona’s home since it was inaugurated in September 1957.

The Camp Nou stadium is in the Les Corts neighborhood of Barcelona.

There are many ways to get to Barca stadium.

Camp Nou access gates

Here is a map showing all the Camp Nou entrances –

Camp Nou Entrance

If you are near the Barcelona Stadium, you can walk the distance.

You should reach  Gate No. 7  or  Gate No. 9  on Avinguda de Joan XXIII if you have booked a Camp Nou tour .

Two Metro Lines take you close to Camp Nou – Line 3 and Line 5.

If you are taking Line 3, get down at Metro Station  Palau Reial  or  Les Corts .

If you are reaching Barcelona Stadium by Line 5, the closest Metro stations are  Collblanc  and  Badal  – you decide.

From each of these Metro Stations, Camp Nou is approximately 10-minutes by walk.

Bus numbers D20, H6, H8, 7, 33, 54, 56, 57, 59, 63, 67, 68, 70, 75, 78, 113, 157 & L12 pass through Camp Nou.

Camp Nou parking

During Camp Nou tour hours, free parking is available for all visitors.

You must enter the Stadium via  Access 14  (Carrer Arístides Maillol).

On match days, parking is available only till four hours before the kick-off time.

If you have booked your Camp Nou tour on a match day, opt for public transport.

Save money during your Barcelona holiday. For free rides on public transport, get  Hola BCN card

During the peak season of April to October, the Camp Nou Experience tour is available from 9.30 am to 7.30 pm every day.

During the rest of the year, the Barcelona FC Stadium and Museum open at 10 am and close at 6.30 pm.

*During the lean period from 9 Jan to 24 Mar and from 15 Oct to 16 Dec, on Sundays the Camp Nou Tour is only available from 10 am to 2.30 pm.

Camp Nou tours on Match days

On Matchdays, Camp Nou Experience tours get canceled.

That’s why match days aren’t the best time to visit Camp Nou.

However, depending on the type of match, certain parts of the Camp Nou Stadium tour are open to the public.

When is Camp Nou closed?

Camp Nou remains closed on Christmas and New Year.

Trophies in Camp Nou

The best time to visit Camp Nou and start your Barcelona Stadium tour is before 11 am.

The queue is short, and you can spend as much time as you want to explore the exhibits at the FC Barcelona stadium and Museum.

If you can’t make it before 11 am, the next best time is by 4 pm.

But then, you only get two and a half hours to make the most of your Tour Camp Nou.

On all days of the week, the period just after lunch sees the longest queues.

If you want to avoid the crowd, it is best to book Camp Nou tour tickets online.

Visiting this attraction close to the match days isn’t advisable because the Barcelona Camp Nou tour gets canceled.

Camp Nou in winter

You won’t experience long lines at the ticketing counters and the other attractions on tour during winter.

However, during these months, the Camp Nou stadium feels a bit colder than usual.

The self-guided museum tour, which is indoor, doesn’t get affected in winter.

Best time for photographs

Inside the FC Barcelona Museum you can take close shots of trophies and other memorabilia all through the day.

However, if you want to take good photographs of the stadium, the best time to visit Camp Nou is before 5 pm.

Shadows start to elongate and darken up the photographs after 5 pm.

Hint: If you plan to get photographed on the pitch, don’t wear green. You don’t want to merge with the lush green Camp Nou grass.

The Camp Nou Tour, which includes both FC Barcelona Museum and the Stadium, takes two hours.

Serious Barcelona FC fans are known to spend even up to four hours on tour.

Most of this time goes in viewing the Barcelona FC’s trophies, the various other exhibits on display, learning the club’s history, and soaking in the stadium atmosphere.

There is no time limit on the Camp Nou tour ticket – once inside, you can stay and explore till it is closing time.

Camp Nou Experience tour is a self-guided tour that takes you through everything there is to see at Europe’s finest soccer stadium.

This experience is also known as the Barcelona FC tour.

On non-match days, the Camp Nou Experience tour includes everything on offer at the world-class stadium.

1. 3D presentation at Camp Nou

This 3D show provides images and scenarios of famous football matches.

If you are visiting with kids, stop by here because they seem to love this 3D show more than adults.

This 3D show has no audio – perhaps, to cater to tourists from all nations.

2. Away team dressing room, Camp Nou

You get a peek inside the away team dressing room where Ryan Gigs, David Beckham, Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, and many other legends have discussed team strategies before facing the mighty FC Barcelona.

3. FC Barcelona’s Chapel

Gods of football come to worship the real God at this Chapel before entering the pitch and facing their opponents.

The Chapel is right next to the dressing room.

4. Players’ tunnel and the dugout at Camp Nou

This part of Tour Camp Nou is sure to give you goosebumps.

It is the same tunnel through which players such as Maradona, Johan Cruyff, Ronaldo, Romario, Ronaldhino, Xavi, and Messi walked to the pitch.

You will be standing on the spot graced by their stud-laden feet.

You can also sit on the dugout benches and do a fake warm-up as if you were going in next.

However, this part of the tour remains closed on match days, and you can only enjoy a panoramic view of the stadium.

5. FC Barcelona Museum

At the Museum, you can see all the 5 Champions Leagues, 3 FIFA Club World Cups, 24 La Liga titles, and 29 Spanish Cups.

Many interactive walls take you through the glorious history of the club.

A video presentation showcases some of the biggest wins of Barcelona FC.

6. Press Box at Camp Nou

As part of the tour, you can explore the elegant 29-cabin Barcelona press box, which stretches for about 35 meters above the ground.

The view from the press box is one of the best.

7. Artwork of Miro at Camp Nou

The famous artist Miro was a Barcelona fan, and as a tribute, he has made a beautiful lithograph displayed at the club.

The painting is bound to catch the attention of art-lovers visiting the FC Barcelona stadium.

Read more such Camp Nou facts .

8. The Messi Zone, Camp Nou

Golden Shoe

The club hero! The legend! The magician! No words are enough to describe this footballing maestro who grew up in this club.

In Messi’s Zone, you can see his three Golden Boots and five Ballon D’ors.

If his trophies and the prizes overwhelm you, get ready to be blown away by the continuously-running big screen display of Messi’s legendary goals.

Camp Nou is a highly rated attraction on TripAdvisor.

Its 4.5 rating makes it a top 10 tourist attraction in Barcelona.

Really interesting tour

As a football lover, I was always going to love this, but my wife who is not really into football also enjoyed it.

The Museum was fascinating. The Museum is not only about the team but the part they played in Catalonian history and the differences between Catalonia and Spain.

Being able to go pitch side, see the change rooms, media boxes and walk up the tunnel to the pitch was all part of the exciting experience. – H3005MGjohna

A must for any football fan!

I have been to Barcelona twice now and both times I have visited Camp Nou.

I honestly cannot describe how amazing the stadium is, I still enjoyed the tours and experiences even though I had already seen them. – Avigeektraveller

The Camp Nou Experience tour is self-guided.

You will see enough directional arrows, information boards, bright yellow barriers, etc., to direct you all through the tour.

Besides, there are security guards and attendants to guide you if you get stuck.

However, if you love lots of information, we recommend you purchase the Camp Nou audio guide.

Working the Camp Nou’s audio guides is easy.

It has two parts – a device where you can input numbers corresponding to the exhibit you are standing next to and an earphone that relays the info.

Barcelona Stadium tour’s audio guide costs 6 Euros per person, and you can buy it at the venue.

These audioguides are available in Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Italian, German and Dutch.

If you prefer you can break your Camp Nou tour for some good Spanish food at ‘Tapas 24’, or the popular Spanish fast food joint ‘Pans and Company’ or ‘Ice Rink’.

All these restaurants serve local fare.

You can’t be a soccer fan and not have a beer at Camp Nou.

That’s precisely why ‘Estrella Damm Hall’ dishes out beer and snacks for the tourists who walk in.

FCBotiga stores are the official merchandise store for Barcelona FC.

The largest of the FCBotiga stores is at Camp Nou.

At the end of the Camp Nou Stadium tour, you will be ushered into FCBotiga to pick up souvenirs.

These FCBotigas also exist in other parts of Barcelona and are excellent places to pick up gifts for friends and relatives.

Visit Camp Nou

The Stadium of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona Museum in Camp Nou

The FC Barcelona Museum at Camp Nou is the second most visited museum in Barcelona. It loses out only to the Picasso Museum.

History – Things to see – Tickets – Opening Times

FC Barcelona Museum

That shows you just how important football is to the city, and how many people venture to the grounds to discover more about this legendary team.

The Camp Nou Experience combines a collection of stop offs throughout the stadium, including a view of the pitch, the player’s tunnel, and the visitors’ changing rooms, but the most fascinating part of the tour is the Camp Nou museum.

Inside this educational vessel, there are hundreds of interactive displays that showcase the history of the club, including player successes, trophies, and stories from times gone by. If you want to get to know the Barcelona football team on a level that goes beyond cheering fans and sold-out games, you might want to check it out.

A trip to the Barcelona football museum goes hand in hand with the Camp Nou experience, and unfortunately you can’t visit it on its own – you have to buy a ticket for all the stadium attractions. This doesn’t really matter, though, as the museum is well worth the investment alone.

The History of the FC Barcelona Museum

The museum boasts a rich history that dates back to 1984, when it was opened under the presidency of Josep Lluis Nuñez. It went through a name change or two before it was restructured and opened as it is now on 15th June 2010.

After much planning and deliberating, the museum was split into three sections (see below for further details), and was decked out with interactive displays, brand spanking new touch screen TVs, and 3D cinemas that show the club’s history and other fascinating football information.

Today, it provides a space where football fans (and even those who are ambivalent about the sport) can get a feel for the passion behind FC Barcelona, and learn about the story of its overwhelming success. The modern day fixtures and fittings are a nice touch, and keep visitors busy for at least an hour or two.

Things to See

The historic section.

This is the largest part of the museum and offers a chronological walk down memory lane. Here, you can learn all about the growth of the club since its birth in 1899, including its most famous wins, its biggest failures, and the collection of well-loved players its seen along the way.

The display features a mishmash of printed information, videos, and documents that come together to create the big picture. Ideal if you’re a bit of a history buff, and perfect if you’re hoping to touch up your knowledge of the team.

Trophy Cabinets

Perhaps the most eye-catching thing about the museum is its wall-to-wall trophy cabinets that are packed full of shiny trophies and medals that span decades.

You can catch a glimpse of the Champions League Cup here, and even get a photo snapped with it (though this will set you back €13 if you want to buy the photograph at the end).

But even if you’re not a shiny-object enthusiast, the huge collection of trophies in all shapes and sizes is enough to raise an eyebrow.

The ‘Futbol Art’ Collection

There’s a whole section dedicated to all sorts of football related memorabilia and ephemera. In fact, some of it isn’t even related to football at all. Expect to browse things like old table football games, trophies from other local sports, and a collection of prints and artwork dedicated to the museum and football team (look out for pieces by Dali, Miro, and Tapies, which were created especially for the team).

In this section you’ll also come across the very boots that Ronald Koeman wore to score the winning goal in the European Cup Final in 1992. This wasn’t just any goal. This goal was scored in the 111th minute (21 minutes into extra time) and won Barcelona their very first European trophy.

Temporary Exhibition

The final leg of the museum is a constantly changing temporary exhibition. Here, you’ll find displays that showcase histories of individuals (like Joan Gamper – the man who founded FC Barcelona), and art shows dedicated to football and the local team. It’s pot luck what’s on in this exhibition room, so check out the website beforehand to see what you can expect.

Tickets for the museum have to be bought as part of the Camp Nou Tour package, which costs €23 for a standard ticket.

You can pick up an audioguide at the start of the tour, which will give you extra information on the displays in the museum and the history of it. Audioguides are an extra €5 and require a deposit in the form of ID.

Opening Times

The museum is open from 10am-6.30pm every day of the year except 1st January and 25th December. The last admittance is at 5.45pm, but you’ll want to set aside at least an hour to see all the exhibitions and the rest of the stadium.

The museum is one of the only parts of the tour that remains open on match days.

  • DebbJ 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Great way to get oriented to Moscow We started our Moscow experience with the hop on hop off. It was a great way to get orientated to the city. The additional optional tours were also good, we did the Metro tour which I highly recommend, we also paid for the Kremlin tour. The hop on hop off has three different lines all included. Only fault was the bus was sometimes full and you had to wait for the next one which was about 15 minutes (in the cold). Read more Written January 6, 2020

  • BeverleyT 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Boat trip - TERRIBLE We got on the bus, but couldn’t buy a 1 day ticket. They suggested we do the 1 hour boat trip and said they would drop us to the dock. 1) they dropped us in the wrong place 2) they were lost because of the marathon Then the boat, after we finally found it: 1) stinking fumes, actually gagging 2) no commentary, in fact, no interaction unless you begged 3) offered us 2 for 1 icecreams as they had melted and refrozen as the fridge gets turned off at night Honestly, we enjoyed the afternoon in the boat but spent all of it laughing at just how awful it was!!! The worst thing in Moscow! Read more Written August 18, 2019
  • niruDurbs 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Not the best value for the price The ticket is quite expensive and covers three different routes in a 24 hour period. The red route is quite exciting and takes about an hour. The bus comes every 10 to 15 minutes. However the other two routes take about two hours each and buses come every 30 to 40 minute period. If the bus is full then you have to wait at the stop for the next bus. So personally I feel that not much can be seen this way. I definitely was not impressed. However it must be noted that one can learn a lot about the history of Moscow Read more Written July 3, 2019

  • Rebecca J 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Boat element was excellent We purchased a ticket online for the boat and bus for 2 days. The boat element was wonderful, we saw some amazing parts of Moscow along the river side. The bus element was very disappointing as it only started at 10am and was finished by 6:30pm. It was extremely warm when we were there and it would have been great to do the tour in the cool of the day. There was also no air conditioning in the down stairs part of the bus. They also turned away passengers at one of the stops as the bus was full and there was not another bus for 40 minutes. Read more Written September 26, 2018

  • Peter F 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Two Routes There is a short red route which depending on the traffic takes about an hour. The route is generally around the Red Square area. The ear phones were small and sometimes the commentary did not link up with the sites you were seeing. The green bus takes you on a longer route and ours took two and a half hours due to the heavy traffic. I would not recommend this trip unless it is raining or you want to fill in time. The sights we saw were nothing outstanding with plenty of time at certain stops for photos. Also the driver stop for a bite to eat at one stop. Read more Written July 30, 2018

The girl on the picture-light blue bag-ask for 100 Rubles for show her the QR Code while I had the Booking and PIN number cause she must see the vessel name-Didn’t say nothing and after she said board any vessel. • Kathrynowl91 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Good way to see some sites We usually do these tours when we travel. They get you round and you see the sight . Just a note people don’t queue here when the bus comes it’s a bit of a free for all. Read more Written July 13, 2018

The bus didn't stop at many points. Were were unaware a couple of times at what point we were and missed them. Headphones and maps were provided. Would recommend one should check out the route map before going and decide which places to stop in advance, this way one can manage and enjoy the tour more and us it more effectively.! • WilliamDyer 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Poor service on boat and too many waiting times on buses For the price, you should expect at minimum English speaking tour guides with decent experience, but at least in my case that did not happen both in buses and boats. And in the boat even tough we were 90% English speaking tourist at least, the tour guide spoke 95% of the time in Russia, and only 3 sentences in English, I really counted how many times she spoke in English. And at the end she asks us if we have any questions? Of course I told her I couldn’t ask her anything since I didn’t understand 95% of what she was saying. The boat tour is not worth it, just take the bus that would be my advice. Second minus is the waiting times, in the boat they made us wait an hour before it departed, and in many stops with the buses waiting times of 20-30 minutes. I actually think I lost that day around 2 hours doing nothing. Be careful. Read more Written July 10, 2018
