10 Things to Do at Park Titiwangsa Kuala Lumpur
Titiwangsa Lake Park is a 235-acre (95-hectare) land with a 141-acre (57-hectare) lake. It’s one of the most popular recreational parks for many reasons, including its many attractions and facilities.
Here are the best Titiwangsa Park activities to do:
1. Titiwangsa Lake
The view of the Titiwangsa Lake with the Petronas Towers on the backdrop is simply unbeatable. It’s especially magnificent to see the Kuala Lumpur skyline at sunset or night. Capture memorable photos and admire the big fountain in the middle of the large lake as it puts up a show.
If you didn’t know already, you could go fishing at Titiwangsa Lake! Bring your fishing rod and enjoy a sunny day of relaxation while you catch your meal for the day.
You can also rent pedal boats for RM 4.00 for every 30 minutes per boat. Other water sports, like kayaking or water ball, are great family activities you can do on the picturesque lake.
2. Splash Park
The Titiwangsa Splash Park is one of the main attractions at the park for families with kids. This was a new feature added that came with the renovation of the park as it re-opened December of 2019.
Entrance to the Titiwangsa water park is completely free and suitable for young children aged 3 to 12 years old. It’s open from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm and 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm everyday.
Needless to say, parents or guardians must always be there to accompany young children. If you want to avoid crowds don’t go during the weekends or on public holidays.
Restrooms and changing rooms are available, at a small fee, right next to the water park.
3. Have fun at the kid’s playgrounds
Aside from the Titiwangsa water park, there are also two new playgrounds dedicated for kids.
There’s a dedicated playground for kids 6 to 12 years old, with slides and obstacles that are fun to explore.
Then another playground for kids 2 to 6 years old. This features mini slides, tunnels, a spider web pyramid, mini swings, and more! It’s a great place for kids if they want to get their knees dirty and start an outdoor adventure.
We went to the playground after our daughter played at the splash park. Or better yet, after the splash pad closed at 12.00 pm. We don’t recommend this as midday is too hot, and the playground is not covered by trees, like the one in KLCC Park .
4. Canopy Walk
The newly added canopy walk designed and inspired by Bukit Titiwangsa provides a serene experience. Take a peaceful walk surrounded by greenery and trees. Listen to the chirps and whistles of the birds and admire them from the walkway if you ever spot one.
5. Get lost in the Butterfly Maze
Another wonderful new addition to the park is the Butterfly Maze. The small hedge maze is perfectly safe for kids to go around and explore. We particularly enjoyed this section as our daughter made friends with a butterfly. The little creature rested on her finger throughout the maze.
6. Go for a jog on the Titiwangsa Park Jogging Track
Looking forward to doing your daily exercise? Jogging/cycling tracks surround the beautiful lake, which joggers and cyclists can take advantage of for free.
The day after we visited Taman Tasik Titiwangsa for the first time, I returned for my morning run. I usually leave the house at 5:15 am so when I got to the park, it hadn’t opened yet. I ran a loop around the outside of the park first, and I could finally go in on my second loop. It was very serene as there weren’t many people yet, and the sun had just started rising.
Not a runner? Titiwangsa Park has bike rental and rollerblades available. Skate hire is available for RM 5.00 for 30 minutes, and a pair of socks for RM 2.00.
7. Have a picnic
A family outing is only complete with a picnic. There are picnic tables, gazebos, and benches at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens. So pack a nice lunch and have a quiet afternoon picnic after a long day of activities.
8. Go horseback riding
Want to check horseback riding off of your bucket list? You can hire a trainer to walk you while riding a horse at the park. The fee is RM 1.50 for adults and RM 0.50 for kids.
If you’re with groups or families, a horse carriage tour is ideal for four to five people. The horse-drawn carriage will tour you around the park for RM 2.00 per person and RM 0.50 per child.
It’s an exceptional way to see the sights and attractions at Park Titiwangsa Kuala Lumpur.
9. Watch RC car races
Witness action at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens’s radio control car racing track. If you’re an RC enthusiast, you will love the weekend races held at the car track. Catch events like mini F1 races, competitions, and special events at the RC car track. You can also get tips from senior RC hobbyists in the area.
10. Go for a leisurely stroll and take pictures for the Gram
The vast Titiwangsa Park has so many photogenic spots throughout the entire park. We saved the best for last and will let the picture do the talking here:

The Titiwangsa Lake Gardens were designed in 1980 by Rio Takahashi, a Japanese landscape architect, to ease congestion at the Perdana Botanical Garden in downtown Kuala Lumpur.

Titiwangsa Lake Gardens: One of the Malaysia’s best parks, Great for families!
- March 31, 2021
Titiwangsa Lake Gardens opens from 7am to 9pm everyday. It covers an area of 95 hectares with a 57 hectares of lake.
You can see perfect view of Kuala Lumpur City – Kuala Lumpur Twin Towers (KLCC) & Kuala Lumpur Tower from the park itself. For those who want to have a glimpse of the beauty of Kuala Lumpur, this will be one of the best place to visit. The entrance is FREE.
Things to do in Titiwangsa Lake Gardens:
- ✅ Jogging / Running
- ✅ Cycling – You can rent some bicycles and ride around, Bicycle : RM10 per hour. Tricycle: RM20 per hour. This park has nice jogging/cycling tracks around the parks.
- ✅ Skateboarding / Rollerblading – Skate hire is available (RM5 for 30 minutes; bring socks otherwise you have to buy a pair for RM2). There is a large open space in front of a grandstand for practicing.
- ✅ View of Kuala Lumpur City by the Titiwangsa Lake
- ✅ Water Fountains – Landmark of Titiwangsa Lake Gardens. You can spot it from far.
- ✅ Small little forest in the middle of the the lake gardens.
- ✅ Horse Riding . This is probably the cheapest place in town to ride horses. Open at weekends and public holidays only between 9am-12pm and 3pm-6pm. Trainers walk horse and rider around a paddock for RM1.50 per round for adults and just RM1 for kids. There is also a horse drawn carriage giving rides around a track for groups of up to five persons at RM2 per adult and just 50 cents for kids.
- ❎ Boating . Pedal boats are available for RM4 per boat for 30 minutes. Surf bikes, sea riders, waterfalls and sampans are also mentioned on the notice board but I didn’t see any of these.

Helicopter Ride with KL Sky Tour
It was a clear morning when we arrived at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur for our helicopter ride. I had been here August last year for KL Sky Tour ‘s soft launch but I did not get the chance to fly on that day. The queue was so long and I had other engagements to attend to.
This time, I was very lucky to be invited to fly with KL Sky Tour and since there were only 9 of us, we had ample time to lounge about, learn more on KL Sky Tour’s operations and we even witnessed a wedding proposal!
KL Sky Tour at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur
Located at the heliport of Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur, the KL Sky Tour is open to public every day from 9.30am to 6.30pm daily. There are no night flies though, due to security reasons. Guests can walk-in any time for a tour or guests can also make appointment beforehand to avoid long waiting period.
KL Sky Tour in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa is not the only helicopter ride in operation by the company Cempaka Helicopters. Cempaka Helicopters has been in operation for many years and are established in other states as well, such as Penang, Langkawi, Terengganu and soon, Melaka. So you can be rest assured that the company knows what they’re dealing with.
The pilots are not locals and very well-experienced. Our Captain who flew us that day was Mr. Barry who apologized to us of the bumpy ride due to the strong wind. Yes, it was very windy on that day and since we rode the smaller sized Robinson R44, it was a little exciting as you feel the sudden hard shake when a strong gust of wind hit the side of the helicopter.

We only went for the 6 minutes ride which allowed us to see some of Kuala Lumpur’s finest from an aeriel point of view. We saw Kuala Lumpur’s popular attractions such as the Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC) , KL Tower and other skyscrapers. We also saw the historical Merdeka Square , National Stadium and National Mosque . Not to mention some of Kuala Lumpur’s amazing heritage buildings like the Sultan Abdul Samad Building , Masjid Jamek and so much more.
KL Sky Tour has two types of helicopters operating in Kuala Lumpur which are the Robinson R44 and Robinson 66. The Robinson R44 can fit four (4) people only, including the pilot whereas the Robinson 66 can fit five (5) people including pilot. However, only the Robinson R44 is in operation at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa. The Robinson 66 is only available for charter.
The cheapest ride would be the 6 minutes ride where you will see part of Kuala Lumpur City Centre and the most expensive ride would be the 45 minutes ride that brings you all the way to Genting Highlands. Price of rides are as below:
Unless you plan to ride alone, the price are quite affordable if you share the ride with your other friends and split the price between you. The price schedule above is for flying with Robinson R44. Since the Robinson 66 can fit 4 people, the price is different and only available for charter or special events.
Plan Your Special Event With KL Sky Tour
How would you like to be proposed after a scenic and romantic ride overlooking Kuala Lumpur City Centre?
On that same day, we managed to steal and share one couple’s memorable marriage proposal. However, this is not the common “boy ask girl to marry” proposal, but it was the other way around.
We were told that the lady has contacted KL Sky Tour prior to the ride to inform of her plan of proposing to her boyfriend. For that, KL Sky Tour prepared a mini board that wrote “Can I Be Your Mrs” and a bouquet of roses that myself and a friend ended up holding as the couple landed on the ground. She looked nervous when she proposed but he did smile and nodded before she ended putting on the ring on her boyfriend’s finger. Yes, it was all good and congratulations were in order as I passed the bouquet of flowers to the lovely couple.
So, if you plan to ask your lady love or partner for marriage after an exciting helicopter ride, do contact KL Sky Tour and the bouquet of roses will be yours, free of charge!

Wow! KL Sky your now offering marriage proposal too! Awesome ideas! Congrats to the couple 😉
They don’t exactly offer marriage proposals per se, but they can assist those who are planning to propose after the sky ride. Cool right?
Like wow what a great experience!
It was! You should try too.
I wanna fly on a helicopter on day. This is indeed affordable if going Dutch.
You’re right about that. Maybe you could ask your friends to share together for a great experience.
Hahaha great to see a proposal from the other gender! Really a great view of KL from the helicopter. Too bad I’m afraid of heights. =(
Oh no, it would be tough if you’re afraid of heights, but maybe you could use this as an excuse to overcome your fear? I too enjoyed seeing the proposal coming from a girl to a guy. They sure looked happy in the end.
The ride is at a reasonable price for the KL Express…hurmm..should I go and hit my boyfriend? Hahaha
It is priced reasonably, especially if you’re going with someone special, or if you go with 3 people and share the price tag.
Bila u nak propose camtu pulak?
I tak propose pun. Tapi I dapat proposal yang lagi comel lah. 😛
Sweet! This looks like a great experience I wonder what it feels like.
You’ve got to try it yourself to know. 🙂
Wow!such a great experience!
Indeed it was! Why don’t you try it too?
this is pretty awesome… it is an experience everyone should go through at least once… so when are you going to propose… and to whom leh….. hhehehe
I’ve decided not to propose, LOL! You’re right though, flying in a helicopter looking over a very beautiful view is something everyone should experience – even just for one time.
Aww the propose might be super romantic though hehe =D The helicopter ride is much more exciting than I know!
The proposal was sweet. She looked very nervous but after he said yes, they both looked very happy and excited. Yes, the ride was super awesome!
i need to ride this things. one of wishlist before i die.. lol
Well we better make that soon then, shall we? 🙂
What an experience! I hate flying but seeing the view might take my anxiety away! 🙂 That was a sweet proposal btw!! <3
There were some people who hated flying too but they said the experience flying in a helicopter is different than in an aeroplane. But, don’t take my word for it. Something like this should be experienced yourself.
so romantic to do a marriage proposal across the sky!
So true. She must love him very much!
Woah Bestnyaaaa dapat naik. Alja belum berkesempatan nak naik yang ni. ^^
InsyaAllah satu hari nanti, mungkin rezeki Alja pula. 🙂
I always dream to have a helicopter ride. I envy you! Lols. Hope to do this in the future, it looks so much fun.
Hopefully you’ll get to experience yourself too, in the future. It does look fun but it feels so much better when you’re up there in the air!
That’s one thing I would love to experience, I wanna know how it differs from riding an airplane
It definitely feel different. The feeling when it gets in the air, the sound, the view, everything is different. You must try it at least once in your life!
So sweet. For sure it was a great experience.
It was, indeed!
bestnya dapat naik helicopter.
Memang best sangat. Alhamdulillah dapat experience juga fly dengan helicopter
Wow! Such a great experience & I want to ride this helicopter please!
You can too. Maybe you can gather your friends and share a ride. It would be so much better than riding alone.
Pergh. Great experience betul la. Mahal tapi berbaloi.
Rasanya kalau kongsi dengan kawan2 dalam satu ride tak rasa mahal sangat berbanding kalau kena bayar sorang2. Tapi memang awesome experience.
HI, price display are per ride? Or per pax? For 6mins rm630/pax or rm630/3paxs?
Hi Ida. The price is per ride. So it would be cheaper if you have more friends sharing the ride. Maximum is 3 person (4, if you count the pilot) per ride.
Interested in this helicopter tour, can quota me the price for 2 pax? Thank you
