Mining is an essential activity in Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC) to produce raw materials which you can refine and use to upgrade your starbase and ships.

ECS Fortunate - Star Trek Fleet Command

Boost mining productivity by assigning the correct officers to your ship and gain bonus mining speed and defence against other players.

Here are some of the best systems in Star Trek Fleet Command for Mining that all-important resource.

Latinum Mining Locations

Raw Latinum nodes have been added to 25 systems in the galaxy. The base rate on these nodes improves dramatically in higher-level systems. Additionally, they have a 1 in 8 chance of spawning "rich" raw latinum, which mines at double the base rate! Suliban is a special system and has only rich nodes of various qualities.

Raw latinum can be refined from level 16 in the refinery on a 22hr cooldown. The refining process converts raw latinum into latinum at a guaranteed rate. The conversion process produces ship parts for the Ferengi D'Vor as a byproduct.

Dilithium Mining Locations

Dilithium can be found in level 9 systems and above. Try exploring level 9 or higher systems to find dilithium. If you find a location not on this list, let us know in the comments below.

An easier way to obtain dilithium which is quicker and less likely to end in your ship being attacked is to farm hostiles . Certain factions drop up to 100 dilithium crystals with bonus amounts in PVE chests. Check the link to find which systems are best to farm dilithium.

Systems with 2-Star Raw Gas

Raw Gas can be found in 3 Grades 2, 3 and 4 stars - and refines into Common, Uncommon in the 2, 3 Grade and an additional Rare quality for the 3 and 4 Star.

Also, it can be sourced throughout the Neutral Zone and the Faction Zones, with the latter, also providing it in large planet-sized quantities with nothing to differentiate it therefore merely clicking on a planet will reveal it's a resource within.

Systems with 2-Star Raw Crystal

Raw Crystal can be found in 3 Grades 2, 3 and 4 stars - and refines into Common, Uncommon in the 2, 3 Grade and an additional Rare quality for the 3 and 4 Stars.

Systems with 2-Star Raw Ore

Raw ore can be found in 2 Grades 2 and 3 stars - and refines into Common, Uncommon in the 2, 3 Grade and an additional Rare quality for the 3 Star.

Systems with 3-Star Raw Crystal

Systems with 3-star raw gas, systems with 3-star raw ore, related articles these articles may also be of interest to you.

How to Get Uncommon Plutonium in Star Trek Fleet Command

In the world of Star Trek Fleet Command , five factions fight for control over the galaxy. One such faction is the Augments, a race of genetically engineered humans created for war. Their faction zones contain a special resource known as Plutonium, so today we’re going to show you how to get Uncommon Plutonium in Star Trek Fleet Command .

Star Trek Fleet Command: Acquiring Uncommon Plutonium

In order to get Uncommon Plutonium, you’ll need to search for data fragments in the Augment faction zone, highlighted by a yellow border. The Augment faction zone is nestled between the other four factions, right in the middle of the map.

Related | Star Trek Fleet Command: Dilithium Mine Locations Guide

There are two ways into the Augment faction zone, and that’s through Rigel to Rainsford on the north side, or Quvolis to Yarda , on the south side. You’ll need to complete the missions Retrofit or Autopilot: Yarda to unlock each path, respectively.

Inside the Augment zone, you’ll find Corrupted and Encoded Data nodes throughout the systems. You’ll need to mine them just like you would any mining node, and we highly recommend using the Botany Bay ship if you have it, as it has a passive bonus to mining both types of Data nodes.

Once you’ve acquired a decent amount of Corrupted and Encoded Data, you can go to the Augment faction store and exchange the data for Augment Credits. You can then use these credits to buy Plutonium parts.

Common Plutonium is available for exchange once you hit level 20, and Uncommon Plutonium is available after you hit level 24. Rare Plutonium becomes available at level 30.

Be careful mining here. Since there is only a handful of data nodes, the chances of running into other players is very high. Be on high alert, and it may be a good idea to send multiple ships in case of an attack.

That concludes our guide on how to get Uncommon Plutonium in Star Trek Fleet Command . If you have any other tips or tricks to share, let us know in the comments below!

Star Trek Fleet Command Mining: How to Mine & Get Materials

Image of Irwyn Diaz

How to Mine & Get Materials in Star Trek Fleet Command

You’ll need to gather plenty of resources if you want to upgrade your facilities, among other things. Mining is one of the best ways to gather new materials, particularly crystals and ore. If you don’t know how to do it, here’s how to mine and get materials in Star Trek Fleet Command .

As with most games, mining is usually the best way to gather precious minerals and other shiny rocks. There are tons of different crystals and ores to collect, and you can actually produce tritanium and dilithium at your station. However, you will need to send out your fleet to collect the other materials.

How to Mine

Once you begin to upgrade your ships, you’ll be able to send them out towards high-level systems. It’s here where you can find special areas that allow you to mine certain materials, depending on where you’re getting them from in Star Trek Fleet Command .

What you’ll want to do is head over to the Galaxy screen by pressing it on the lower right side of your screen. From there, zoom in and set a course to some of the more high-leveled systems. Their level is indicated by the number next to the system name, such as Entrunar [1], with one being the required warp level to access the area in Star Trek Fleet Command.

Once you’ve entered a system, you can set a course for nodes that will let you salvage these materials. You’ll have to search each node manually as there doesn’t seem to be any specific mining areas in Star Trek Fleet Command.

Here are some systems and their respective materials to help you get started in Star Trek Fleet Command:

  • Obilent – Raw Ore
  • Citi Laga – Tritanium
  • Bellas – Raw Crystal
  • Rigel – Dilithium Mine

If your warp level isn’t high enough, you can raise it by leveling your warp engine. To do this, you’ll need explorer or battleship parts which come from completing missions, events, fighting enemies, and drops from loot boxes in Star Trek Fleet Command.

That’s pretty much everything you need to know about how to mine and get materials in Star Trek Fleet Command . For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite . Here’s how to move your station , if you don’t know how to already.
