MAMAMOO is officially going on its first ever U.S. tour! The K-pop girl group first shared news of its stateside trek — titled the MY CON U.S. Tour — on March 15, announcing the locations that they will performing at. The quartet — which consists of members Solar, Moonbyul, Whee In and Hwa Sa — followed up the news on Thursday (March 23) by unveiling the venues they’ll visit this spring.

The sassy progressive k-pop group will make their way to nine cities for their first-ever north american tour starting on may 16th after unforgettable performances in asia..

MAMAMOO knocked it out of the park with their mini album “MIC ON” in October 2022, and promptly followed up with a hugely successful, nine cities tour across Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Bangkok, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Manila.

Solar, Moon Byul, Whee In, and Hwa Sa have established themselves as unrivaled icons of K-Pop, having sold out more than twenty concerts since their first one in 2016.

The group is set to rock some of the biggest cities in the U.S. this summer with the same excitement and passion that has endeared them to their global fandom with each performance since their debut.

Ticketing and Show Details

Overwhelming excitement and outstanding performances continue for MAMAMOO as they announce their “MY CON” World Tour is headed to the U.S. for the first time.

After wrapping up their latest performances across Asia, the popular K-Pop group will head to the U.S. for their inaugural arena tour that launches in New York City on May 16th, 2023; hitting a total of nine cities coast to coast with many major markets in between.

Presented by Mammoth, Inc. and Sugar Monkey Live, this will be MAMAMOO’s first-ever global tour, as well as their American debut.

Tickets are on sale at 10 am local time on March 29 at Ticketmaster.com

The tour will see all four members, Solar, Moon Byul, Whee In, and Hwa Sa, join hands once again, ready to take the stage in premier venues across the country; a complete list of the tour dates is listed below.

Mesmerizing MAMAMOO

MAMAMOO (Korean: 마마무), is a four-member girl group consisting of Solar, Moon Byul, Whee In, and Hwa Sa loved by the public for their outstanding singing skills and spectacular performances.

MAMAMOO’s first song, “Mr. Ambiguous,” debuted in 2014 and cemented their position as a mainstream K-pop knockout. Their launch was considered by some critics as one of the best K-pop debuts of 2014.

They are recognized for their retro, jazz, R&B concepts and their strong vocal performances. Their song “HIP” is their first music video to hit 370 million views on YouTube and 210 million streams on Spotify, since their release in 2019.

The quartet is known for being daring and breaking the rules in K-pop with their progressive fashion style, challenging the Korean music norms for women, and their girl boss attitude. MAMAMOO promotes being an independent woman with no restrictions.

Hwa Sa is the most successful soloist, with her hit song “Maria” (2020) breaking records with more than 270 million views on YouTube.

MAMAMOO Announces Dates And Cities For U.S. Leg Of "MY CON" World Tour

MAMAMOO is taking their first world tour to the United States!

On March 16, MAMAMOO announced nine dates and cities for the upcoming U.S. leg of their first world tour “MY CON.” The group will get started in New York on May 16, then make their way to Baltimore, Atlanta, Nashville, Fort Worth, Chicago, and Glendale throughout the month. On June 2, MAMAMOO will visit Oakland before finishing up on June 4 in Los Angeles.

MAMAMOO’s “MY CON” world tour began last November with a three-night concert in Seoul, followed by a two-night performance in Japan. Early this year, the group embarked on the tour’s Asia leg , stopping by Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Manila.

Currently, MAMAMOO’s Solar and Moonbyul are gearing up to make their first-ever unit comeback as MAMAMOO+ with “ ACT 1, SCENE 1 ” on March 29.

Ticket sales for MAMAMOO’s upcoming tour dates are set to open later this month.

The K-pop girl group will play nine shows over two months

K-pop girl group MAMAMOO are set to embark on their first-ever tour of the US as part of their wider ‘MY CON’ world tour.

The quartet officially announced that they would be going on their first North American tour, which will comprise shows in nine cities on both coasts, as well as southern and midwestern markets, over two months.

MAMAMOO’s US tour will first kick off on May 16 in New York at the UBS Arena, before heading down the coast to Baltimore’s CFG Bank Arena and the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

The girl group will then head down south, with shows in Tennessee, Texas and Arizona. The quartet will wrap up their nine-date tour in early June with two shows in California, at the Oakland Arena and Kia Forum.

Tickets for MAMAMOO’s US tour are set to go on sale 10am local time March 29 at Ticketmaster . More information about ticketing is expected to be released soon.

MAMAMOO’s upcoming US tour is an extension of their ongoing ‘MY CON’ world tour, which kicked off in Seoul on November 18, 2022. As part of the world tour, the girl group have performed in Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines, among other Asian destinations.

Meanwhile, the group’s sub-unit MAMAMOO+, comprising members Solar  and  Moonbyul , will release new music later this month . The duo are set to unveil the single album ‘Act 1, Scene 1’ on March 29, half a year after they made their debut in August 2022 with the song ‘Better’ , featuring BIG Naughty .

MAMAMOO Makes History with Best-Selling Debut US Tour for K-pop Girl Groups

Since the announcement of MAMAMOO's first-ever US tour, fans from coast to coast have been celebrating the girls' milestone achievement while anxiously awaiting the outcome. The possibility of European and Latin American tour legs is contingent upon the success of the US leg, as confirmed by both MoonByul and Solar during a fan meeting. However, it appears that fans' concerns were unwarranted, as the tour is proving to be a success.

MAMAMOO now joins the ranks of Destiny's Child, The Spice Girls, and TLC as the only girl groups to sell over 70,000 tickets on their first tour in the USA. This makes MAMAMOO the only girl group to achieve this milestone after a 21-year gap and the only non-English speaking girl group to accomplish such a feat. Understandably, MAMAMOO's fans, known as Moomoos, are incredibly proud of their girls, particularly considering the minimal promotion for the tour from the company's side, such as a small Instagram ad purchased last month. Fans have taken matters into their own hands, promoting the girls' upcoming tour dates themselves, and their efforts seem to be paying off handsomely.

Their first concert for the tour was held at the Olympic Hall in Seoul from November 18 to 20 of 2022, [1] and their second concert was at the Makuhari Messe , Chiba from November 26 to 27 of 2022. [2]

The rest of their concerts take place in 2023, including the concerts of the Asian part of the tour: " MY CON - ASIA ". The countries of the Asian tour section are Hong Kong , Taiwan , Singapore , Malaysia , and the Philippines ; [3] on December 11, 2022, Indonesia was added to the country list, [4] and then Thailand on December 23, 2022. [5]

Their third concert took place on January 7 in Hong Kong at the AsiaWorld–Expo ; [6] as of December 15, 2022, the concert had been extended to take place from January 7 to 8. [7] Their fourth concert took place on January 14 at the NTSU ARENA (Linkou Arena) in Taoyuan , [NT 2] Taiwan ; [8] as of December 2, 2022, the concert had been extended to take place from January 14 to 15. [9] Their fifth concert was held at the IMPACT EXHIBITION Hall 5 in Bangkok , Thailand on January 29, 2023. [5] Their sixth concert took place on February 5 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD [10] in Tangerang , [NT 3] Indonesia . [4] Their seventh concert took place on February 9 at The Star Theatre in Singapore ; [11] as of December 9, 2022, the concert had been extended to take place from February 8 to 9. The next region for their tour is the United States , [17] with the tour section being called " MY CON - USA ". [18] The cities for the USA part of the tour are New York , Baltimore , Atlanta , Nashville , Fort Worth , Chicago , Glendale , Oakland , and Los Angeles .

Their tenth concert took place on May 16 at the UBS Arena in New York City , New York . Their eleventh concert took place on May 18 at the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore , Maryland . Their twelfth concert took place on May 20 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta , Georgia . Their thirteenth concert took place on May 22 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville , Tennessee . Their fourteenth concert took place on May 24 at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth , Texas . Their fifteenth concert took place on May 27 at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago , Illinois . Their sixteenth concert took place on May 31 at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale , Arizona . Their seventeenth concert took place on June 2 at the Oakland Arena in Oakland , California . Their eighteenth concert took place on June 4 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles , California . [19] The Los Angeles concert is the last event for the MY CON tour in the USA.

They did an encore concert for their previous Seoul concert, and it is their nineteenth concert overall. It took place at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul from June 16 to June 18. [20]

MAMAMOO released their documentary film for the world tour, with it being titled as MAMAMOO: MY CON THE MOVIE . The film was released domestically in South Korea on June 21, 2023, and exclusively premiered in theaters through CGV Cinemas. [21] Its overseas release is scheduled to take place in the same year on only August 9 and 12. [22]

Ravel announces Orchestrate GenAI simple interface software

Ravel, Inc, the software company formerly known as Stratus Core, today announced its latest product: Ravel Orchestrate GenAI, a simple interface for management and deployment of generative AI . The company is also adding support for AMD GPUs, with the product automatically assembling a genAI environment using AMD-optimized software.

According to Ravel, the Orchestrate GenAI interface is designed for IT and DevOps professionals as a way of smoothing the path to efficient AI across both small and large organizations. Orchestrate offers a single interface for control, automated setup and bulk installations on multiple machines. It works with multiple genAI tools, such as Stable Diffusion, Adobe Firefly, Amuse and KoboldCPP.

Former King Crimson Members Form Beat, Announce 2024 Tour

P rog-rock band King Crimson may have disbanded decades ago, but that hasn’t stopped a few former members from forming their own supergroup. Adrian Belew (former King Crimson guitarist and vocalist) and Tony Levin (former King Crimson bassist) have formed a new group called Beat with Tool drummer Danny Carey and famed guitarist Steve Vai. The band’s namesake comes from King Crimson’s 1982 album Beat . And yes, if you’re wondering, KC frontman Robert Fripp has given his full endorsement for the project.

Less than a month after forming, the band has just announced a North American tour that’s set to kick off in September. The supergroup will perform across the US and Canada well into November. No supporting acts have been announced.

The Beat 2024 Tour will start on September 12 in San Jose, California at San Jose Civic. The tour will end on November 8 in Las Vegas, Nevada at The Theater at Virgin Hotels.
