Victoria Coach Station Our team will wait to greet you by our Welcome Desk at Victoria Coach Station and direct you to the correct departure gate. Victoria Coach Station is a 10-15 minutes from London Victoria Station and Victoria Underground Station. Our Welcome Desk is in front of Gates 1 and 2: Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time for boarding.

Your tour of London begins with a journey through London with your expert tour guide onboard one of our luxury coaches. As you make your way through the city, your guide will impart exciting stories and interesting facts about London's long history. Along the way, you will see all of London's most iconic landmarks, including the Albert Memorial, Westminster Abbey , the iconic Elizabeth Tower , also known as 'Big Ben', and much, much more!

At one of our first stops, Buckingham Palace, we will watch a traditional ceremony that is the epitome of British pomp and pageantry. During the ceremony, guards from the New Guard of the Household Division arrive to assume responsibility for protecting Buckingham Palace. Accompanied by a regimental marching band, these soldiers are instantly recognisable in their bearskin caps and scarlet tunics. Don't let the bearskin hats fool you - these soldiers are elite soldiers from the British military!

*The Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace currently takes place on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (subject to availability). When there is no Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, we will see the Changing of the Guard at the Horse Guards Parade instead.

St Paul's Cathedral is an iconic symbol of London. One of the largest churches in the world, its dome is an incredible 366 feet high and was the tallest building in London until the 1960s. Explore the history of the Cathedral and hear how Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece took 35 years to complete.

Almost a thousand years of history await at the formidable Tower of Londo n. The Tower's long and bloody history is steeped in myth and legend. Built by William the Conqueror in 1066 , this historic fortress in the middle of London is a notorious prison and execution site. The last person to be executed here was in 1941, and throughout its long history, dozens have been shot, beheaded and even burned at the stake. Delve into the grisly history of this medieval castle and a former royal palace, and discover the stories behind some of its most famous former inmates. The Tower of London is also home to the priceless Crown Jewels Collection .

The Crown Jewels have been stored and displayed at the Tower of London since 1661 . This magnificent world-famous collection of 23,578 gemstones is part of the Royal Collection and boasts items that are still used in royal ceremonies today.

Following their use in the Coronation ceremony of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla on 6 May , the regalia can be explored in the Treasury of the Jewel House. Appreciate these remarkable objects up close, including the Imperial State Crown, which was worn by His Majesty The King for the procession from the Abbey to Buckingham Palace and features in the official Coronation portraits, as well as St Edward’s Crown, which was used at the moment of crowning.

Also on display will be Queen Mary's Crown , made by Garrard for the 1911 Coronation and modified for Her Majesty Queen Camilla ahead of the 2023 Coronation. Relive the historic service through official imagery from the 2023 ceremony, which is also featured in the exhibition.

Your experience of the Jewel House will begin with a celebration of the timelessness of monarchy, displaying the State Crown frames worn by past monarchs George I, George IV, and Queen Victoria and explaining how many of the most historic jewels – including the famous ‘Black Prince’s Ruby’ - have passed from crown to crown.

Learn more about the origins of the current Crown Jewels, starting with the destruction of the medieval Coronation Regalia in 1649 during the English Civil War. The Crown Jewels were destroyed at the Tower after the Civil War and remade for Charles II’s coronation in 1661. They signify the royal authority to lead and protect the nation.

At the end of our tour, head down to Tower Pier and hop on the next available boat for a scenic cruise down the River Thames . Enjoy a unique view of the beautiful London waterfront as you head to Westminster Pier next to the iconic Houses of Parliament.

The London Eye stands 135m high on the South Bank between Waterloo and Westminster Bridges. Standard Ticket holders should check-in at least 30 minutes before your booked time.

Westminster Pier (unless the London Eye option is chosen) - The Tour concludes at Westminster Pier, where you can conveniently access the London Underground from Westminster Station, London Bus Services, or local taxi services.

Routes and Timetable for London’s Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus Tour

There are 4 different routes which will take you to see London’s top landmarks. You can hop-on and hop-off of any of the routes as many times as  you like, and change routes whenever you want. This just makes sightseeing in London very easy, and it saves you having to use public transport in London to get from one place to another.

It’s also good to know that you can start your journey on the sightseeing bus tour at any bus stop, on any route, so you can start your journey at the bus stop that suits you best.

⇒ Here you will find a map with the routes and timetables: London Sightseeing Bus Tour Map .

1. Classic Red Tour

The first bus of this route departs at 8.10 am from the stop located just in front of Green Park underground station, on Piccadilly Street and there are buses approximately every 5 minutes. This route is the Classic Tour, a route that passes through 15 of the most important tourist places in London, including Westminster Abbey, London Eye, Big Ben, Covent Garden, the Tower of London and St. Paul’s Cathedral among others. The red route has a live commentary in English, and there are also recorded commentaries in several languages.

The red route takes about 2 hours and 15 minutes, and has several stops in common with the blue route: stops from 2 to 5, from 7 to 11 and stop 15. It also coincides with the green route at stop 9.

2. Big Blue Tour

The first bus of the blue route departs at 8.36 am from stop number 2, which is located at Hyde Park Corner, and there are buses approximately every 5 or 10 minutes. The nearest underground stop is Green Park. The blue route is a slightly longer route, and coincides in almost all the stops with the red route, but also goes round Hyde Park, passing through the South Kensington area, where the natural history museum, the science museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum are located. It also goes past Harrods and towards Regent’s Park stopping at Baker Street, where the Sherlock Holmes museum and Madame Tussauds wax museum are located. The blue route has recorded commentaries.

The blue route takes almost 3 hours and coincides with the red route at stops 2 to 5, from 7 to 11 and stop 15. It also connects with the green route at stop 9 .

3. Green Link

The green link is very short and connects the famous Trafalgar Square with King’s Cross and St Pancras underground and train stations, going past the British museum. If you are going to spend a day in London and arrive at the King’s Cross – St Pancras station, we recommend that you use the tourist bus, since you can start the route here, change at Trafalgar Square to another route and see London easily before returning to King’s Cross with the green link again if you need to.

The first bus on the green route leaves from Covent Garden at 8.20 am, where it also links to the blue and red routes.

4. Night tour: Hotel Return Service

The purple route is the hotel return service. It covers the areas from Marble Arch to Gloucester Road, so it’s ideal if your hotel is anywhere in between – such as Paddington, Bayswater, Notting Hill or Kensington. It runs up to 2 hours later than the other routes mentioned above.

Bus stops and timetables

Here you can find a list of the bus stops from the RED and BLUE routes, and the time of departure of the first bus at each one of them. After that, buses run every 5 – 10 minutes. Guide: Red Route ( RR ), Blue Route ( BR ) and Green Link ( GL ).

A Thames River Cruise is honestly one of the best things you can  do when visiting London, this is something that I always recommend friends and family do when they come to visit us. If it’s your first time in London I can guarantee that a cruise on the Thames will leave you speechless, as you can see many famous landmarks from the river. And the best thing is: You get a free river cruise with the London hop-on, hop-off sightseeing bus tour tickets. Boom!

The river cruise included is a one way ticket if you’re buying a one day sightseeing bus tour ticket, or a return ticket if you’re buying a 2 or 3 day bus tour ticket. The cruise runs from Westminster Pier to Tower of London. If you have a one day bus tour ticket you need to do the river cruise on that same day, but don’t worry as there is plenty of time do both, you would even have time to go on the London Eye on the same day.

You will also be able to make the most of your sightseeing bus tour tickets by joining the free walking tour that’s included in your ticket. The tour starts at the Big Bus Tours Bus Stop in Trafalgar Square at 10.20 am, and you will be able to enjoy the Changing of the Guard at 11.00 am at Buckingham Palace and learn all about St James’ Palace.

Which Hop On Hop Off London Bus Tour Route to Choose?

On our recent trip to London, we were able to go on a hop-on hop-off bus tour !   We had 3 options to choose from.

London Bus Tour Companies

  • Tootbus London Hop on Hop Off Bus Tour
  • Big Bus London Hop on Hop Off Bus Tour
  • City Sightseeing Hop on Hop Off Bus Tour
  • Golden Tours London Hop on Hop Off Bus

We went with the Orginal London Hop on Hop off but tour now known as Tootbus.  We found they had the best London bus tour routes.  The prices were similar. Some companies offer a River cruise.

London hop on hop off bus tour tickets.

London Hop on Hop off Bus Tour

The London double decker tour starts as you purchase your ticket.   It is best to purchase your ticket ahead of time . There is no need to print your ticket.

When you arrive in London just show your ticket on your phone to the bus driver at any of the stops.  The bus driver will scan it and give you a paper ticket and headphones to listen to a tour of London as you ride the bus.

You are given exactly 24 hours to ride the bus. Meaning if you get on at 5:00 pm (17:00) Monday you have until 5:00 pm (17:00) Tuesday to ride.

  • St. Pauls Cathedral

Orange British Museum Hop-On-Hop-Off London Bus Route

The Orange Route provides some fabulous stops that are not available on other routes. The British Museum is a favorite. This museum houses the Rosetta Stone and has other historic treasures to take in. It too is free.

Our Experience On Our One Day In London Hop On Hop Off Bus Tour

We really liked being able to see the entire city as we took the London bus and river tour.  The buses were not crowded and we were always able to get on and have a nice seat.

There were people at each stop to guide you on the bus and let you know when the next one would be arriving.  The service was incredible and I highly recommend it especially if you only have one day in London!

One Day in London Hop on Hop Off Bus Tour in London

Now that you know the routes, let's begin planning your one-day in London itinerary.

It doesn't matter where you start from. We recommend that you purchase your tickets ahead of time, but you can also buy tickets the day of.

We found employees at every stop we came across ready to sell tickets,  help you with directions, and direct you to which bus to get on, but this could be seasonal.

Let's just start with stop one on the Yellow Line Hop-on-hop-off London route!  There are so many things to do in London in one day.

I am going to list many many options, but you will have to decide which ones you want to add to your London 1-day itinerary. Booking the best booking hop on hop-off London bus tour is your first step.

1. Piccadilly Circus Area

On this one day in London sightseeing bus tour, Piccadilly Circus is a must-see.

Don't forget to plug in your headphones for a history tour as you ride along.  I recommended skipping Marble Arch and Hyde Park so that you don't run out of time, and focus on Piccadilly Circus and other stops.

Piccadilly Circus is a really fun area (similar to Times Square in New York City) .  There are some theaters located in the area as well as a box office to buy discounted tickets to a show .  If you love theater you might consider this.

London Tickets in Piccadilly circus

Also, located in this area is a Lego Store, a four-story M&M store, and American fast food such as McDonald's, Burger King, and Pizza Hut!  I found when taking a tween to London, this is the place for them. Some familiarity mixed with the new.

M&M store in London

2. Chinatown

China Town in London

Chinatown is located in the area as well.  We thought it looked really cool.  This is the place to try some authentic Asian food.  If you walk through Chinatown you will be really close to Trafalgar Square.

3. Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is a large area where many people gather.  There are special events held in this area as well as protests.  The National Gallery is in this area.

4. National Gallery

National Gallery London

The National Gallery is an art museum.  I'll preface this by saying that I am not a huge art museum fan. But when I walked into this art gallery I really loved it because I had studied these well-known paintings in high school and they were very familiar to me.

Shopping Near Trafalgar Square

Hardy's Candy Shop London

If you walk less than a mile from Trafalgar Square you will find some fun stores to shop at.

We had looked at Hardy's Candy Store online before we left on our trip because they sell a special Harry Potter goodie bag.

We loved trying some of the British candy.  The clerk was so nice and told us what his favorite was and we compared American candy to the British variety.  It was fun!  I have to admit that we Americans must really have a sweet tooth.

There are other cool stores, in this area especially if you are a Harry Potter Fan.

Once you explore this area and are ready to move on, jump back on the bus.  Check out your map and plan your next stop!

Recommendation for One Day in London Itinerary

Being that you only have one day in London I would only plan to be in this area for 1-3 hours.  There are so many things to see in London in 1 day.  You have got to plan your time out carefully.

5. The London Eye Area

The London Eye is located on the south bank of the River Thames.  It is the tallest observation wheel in Europe and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom.

The London Eye is not a Ferris wheel.  It is an air-conditioned observation capsule.  You will be very safe as you get the best view of the city.  It takes about 30 minutes for the wheel to make a complete rotation.

We found that it was best to purchase tickets ahead of time.

6. The Shrek Experience

Shrek's Adventures is a 4D experience that is great for kids.  We wanted to go so bad!  Our plane was delayed and made it that we arrived too late to go.

The hours of operation are 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on most days.  Weekend times vary. so make sure to check beforehand!

It is better to get Shrek tickets ahead of time!

7 . London Dungeon

The London Dungeon

The London Dungeon   is a blast into the darkest history of London.  It is an activity that I would recommend for teens and adults.

There are two underground rides, 360 sets, 20 live actors, 19 interactive shows, and 1000 years of history. The London Dungeon is worth a visit!

Hours of operation are 10:00 am – 4:00 pm on most days. Weekend times vary.

8 . Sea Life Aquarium

Sea Life Aquarium London

The Sea Life Aquarium London is an extremely popular aquarium.  There are really fabulous exhibits including walking with the sharks.

Hours of operation are from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.  Weekend times vary.

If you want to do all 4 attractions listed above, give yourself about 6 hours.  The London Eye takes about 30-40 minutes.  The other attractions can take up to 2 hours each. Totally doable in one day in London.

Combo Ticket Pass

I found that it is much cheaper to buy a combo pass .   If you already wanted to go on the London Eye adding these other attractions makes it only $10 more per attraction.

Plus, if you do not purchase your tickets ahead of time you will be waiting in long lines at the ticket office.

9 . Tower Bridge

Tower Bridge in London

As you jump back on the best London hop-on hop-off bus tour you will pass St. Paul's Cathedral, the Monument (built to commemorate the Great Fire of London), and The Shard.

Stop if these are on your bucket list. Otherwise, you'll have to settle for a quick window view on the bus.

There are plenty of opportunities to get great shots of these landmarks from the top deck of the London double-decker tour.

One exciting landmark is Tower Bridge.  The bus will cross this bridge before you arrive at the Tower of London.

10 . Tower of London

Next on the one day in London big bus tour is the Tower of London!  The Tower of London is a historical castle that houses the crown jewels.  It is really quite amazing that this beautiful castle is in the heart of London.

It is recommended to stay at least 2 hours at this site.  If it is a busy time of year you may want to allow more time.  We loved our visit!

Hours of operation are from 10:00 am – 4:30 pm.  Weekend times are slightly different.

Tickets are best purchased ahead of time!

11. Buckingham Palace

Since we are talking about a one day in London trip, you will probably only want to hit the most iconic sites.  Buckingham Palace is on the top of the list!

Buckingham Palace is the London residence of the Monarch in the United Kingdom.

In the summer months, you can purchase tickets to see the State Rooms, The Queens Gallery, and the Royal Mews (stables) Ticket prices range from 26-120 pounds.

You can purchase tickets on the actual website or tours on Viator.

Hours of Operation

9:30 am- 7:30 pm (only in summer)

12. Museums of London – Blue Royal Borough Route

Now, if you did everything suggested on the hop on hop off London bus yellow line route you probably don't have time to do anything else.

But, if you are wanting to experience a different part of London this route may be for you.

The first time we went to London, we had an 18-month-old baby and were in school. So while we did some of the most popular attractions, we opted for the free museums.

There are over 23 Museums in London that are absolutely free!  I don't think we knew that before arriving. We were so happy! The exchange rate was atrocious the first time we went.

After seeing Buckingham Palace it is very easy to jump to the blue line.  From the bus, you will get to see Queen Elizabeth's Gate.  I would recommend staying on the bus and not getting off at this point.

13. Victoria and Albert Museum

Victoria and Albert's Museum in London

The Victoria and Albert Museum is dedicated to decorative arts, design, and sculpture.  It houses a collection of 2.27 million objects.

Hours of operation

10:00 am – 5:45 pm

14. Science Museum

Science museum in London

We loved going to the science museum with our little one.  There were a lot of hands-on interactive exhibits.   My family loves museums so taking this route is a win for us.

10:00 am – 6:00 pm

15. Natural History Museum

Natural History Museum in London

The Natural History Museum in London is most famous for its dinosaur exhibit.  One of the best things about all these museums is that the buildings themselves are so beautiful.  Plus, you get to see some pretty awesome exhibits.

10:00 am – 5:50 pm

16. Royal Albert Hall

Royal Albert One Day in London Tour

Royal Albert Hall is a beautiful concert hall.  If you don't have time to see a show, daily tours are available starting at 9 am.

Tour Admission

Recommendation for your 1-day london itinerary .

If you love museums, I highly recommend going to this area. However, your one day in London may consist only of museums because of the time it will take to view them.  They are amazing and beautiful and big!

17. Kensington Palace

Kensington Palace   is another residence set in the Kensington Gardens.  Tours are available for around 20 pounds. If you love history and beautiful buildings this is a 1 day in London must-see.

10:00 am – 4:00 pm

18. Madame Tussauds – Red Bus Route

Image Courtesy of Visit Britain Shop

After viewing Kensington Palace jump on the blue line until you get to the Hyde Park stop.  You can catch the red shuttle and visit Madame Tussauds.

Madame Tussaud's is a wax museum full of famous celebrities!  You might really enjoy taking a picture with the Queen.

Tickets to Madame Tussaud's start around 25 pounds and go up if you want to buy a combo pass.

10:00 am – 4:00 pm most days of the week.  Weekend times vary.

Hop on Hop Of London Orange Route

There is not really an easy way to jump to the orange line from the red shuttle.  The best bet is to go to Piccadilly Circus and get on there.

19. British Museum

10:00 am – 5:30 pm

This museum is dedicated to human history, art and culture. We enjoyed this museum but it wasn't a great one for kids.

20. Platform 9 3/4

Platform 9 3/4 London

If you are a Harry Potter Fan this is a must-see stop.  You can get a special picture of pushing your trolley through the wall.

There is also a really nice store that sells Harry Potter merchandise that is unlike anything we have seen.  There is a real flying golden stitch and unique things that will make your stop here worth it.

From Platform 9 3/4 you can catch a   tour bus to Harry Potter Studios.   This is an amazing tour and if you are interested in going you should book months in advance.

One of the ways to lessen the expense of travel is to take public transportation – something I tend to do more now that I am older, which is strange but true. Thank you for sharing!

That is true!

I spent four days in London and loved it! We heavily relied on the Tube and hop on/hop off buses. I love getting an overview of the city on the bus!

Me too! It really is a great option!

I have never been to London. 🙁 And I never knew these one day tours were a thing. What a great idea! Thanks, especially for the photos. Some day………

1 day london bus tour

⏳ Don’t have time to read the whole list?

The best London bus tour is this Hop-On and Hop-Off bus tour .

Click here to check prices and availability.

The best London bus tour if you want the classic sightseeing experience is this Big Bus Hop-On and Hop-Off Bus Tour and the best bus tour in London if you want something a bit different is this Spooky London Ghost Vintage bus tour.

They both have hundreds of amazing reviews, so there’s no going wrong.

London is a massive city that can be much easier to explore by bus, and there are plenty of London bus tours that will cater to your specific interests, whether that be music history, architecture, filming locations in London , or something else entirely!

If you want to see what your other options are, here are the best London bus tours that are definitely worth your time.

PS – booking in advance is highly, highly recommended so you don’t miss out.

Easy Guide: Best London Bus Tour Picks

Best classic bus tours in london, 1. big bus hop-on hop-off classic london tour.

⭐️  RATING:  4 out of 5 Stars, 7,300+ reviews | ⏳  TOUR LENGTH:  1-3 day pass | ✔️  BOOK NOW

Big Bus is the most iconic London bus tour and one of my favorite of the sightseeing tours that are hop-on/hop-off style.

Choose the red route if you have less time, or the blue route if you want to see more of London, and enjoy being whizzed around the city with information at each stop about what you’re looking at (the worst kind of bus tour is one where they don’t even tell you!).

Big Bus operate in multiple cities around the world, so the formula isn’t new in London, but it’s a tried-and-tested hop-on and hop-off tour, and that’s why it makes my list as the best one if you’re just going to do one bus tour in London.

2. Vintage London Bus Tour with Optional London Eye

⭐️  RATING:  4 out of 5 Stars, 370+ reviews | ⏳  TOUR LENGTH:  3 hours 30 minutes | ✔️  BOOK NOW

1 day london bus tour

The difference between this bus tour and a normal sightseeing tour is that you get to travel in style on a vintage London bus, not one of the ugly themed hop-on and hop-off bus styles.

The London Eye can also be included in your sightseeing ticket, which is a fantastic way to cover both at once as you’ll finish at the London Eye and not waste any time in traveling there (because the bus will take you!).

This is not a hop-on and hop-off variation, so this is also great if you don’t really need to get on or off and just want to sit and enjoy the views.

3. London Tootbus Must-See Hop-On Hop-Off Bus

1 day london bus tour

⭐️  RATING:  4 out of 5 Stars, 3,500+ reviews | ⏳  TOUR LENGTH:  1 hour 30 – 2 hours | ✔️  BOOK NOW!

Tootbus is newer on the scene in London when it comes to bus tours, but they’re doing amazing and have fantastic reviews and lots of repeat customers.

There are three different circuits to choose from to customize your London bus experience, and the upper deck is obviously the best place to sit (particularly when you’re going over the bridges!).

Tootbus is a great option for families with kids in London , as it has a little bit more of a casual vibe than the Big Bus options.

4. London Vintage Bus Tour with Thames Cruise

1 day london bus tour

⭐️  RATING:  4 out of 5 Stars, 170+ reviews | ⏳  TOUR LENGTH:  4 hours | ✔️  BOOK NOW

Want to combine your London sightseeing bus tour with a Thames river cruise?

This is your best bet!

So many people want to do both during their time in London, and this is a great option for that, combining land and river for an epic sightseeing day out.

For the record, I prefer doing a sightseeing cruise with sightseeing bus in the warmer months, and a sightseeing bus with the London Eye (a previously listed tour – scroll up a bit) during the colder months just for comfort.

5. Golden Tours Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus

1 day london bus tour

⭐️  RATING:  4 out of 5 Stars, 600+ reviews | ⏳  TOUR LENGTH:  1 day | ✔️  BOOK NOW

Golden Tours offer a hop-on and hop-off sightseeing tour around London that rivals the other big companies, and they are easy to spot with their blue and orange coloring.

I love that the front of the upper deck is covered in case the weather is bad, while the back of the top is open to the elements in case the sun is shining (or you just want to brave it!).

They do audio tours instead of live guides on their buses, so it’s better if you want that pre-recorded experience or have already tried Big Bus or Tootbus.

Best Night Bus Tours in London

6. london by night open top sightseeing tour.

1 day london bus tour

⭐️  RATING:  4 out of 5 Stars, 540+ reviews | ⏳  TOUR LENGTH:  1 hour 30 minutes | ✔️  BOOK NOW

London is completely different at night , and even if you’ve done a London sightseeing tour during the daytime, a London bus tour at night is such a memorable experience that I recommend to all visitors.

This tour takes you all around the most iconic London attractions to see them lit up and sparkling in the dark, including the bright lights of the London Eye, the Tower of London , and the iconic Westminster Abbey.

You’ll get to see a side of the city that many people never see, and it can be a great thing to do on your first night in London to try and beat that jet lag.

7. London Christmas Lights at Night Bus Tour

⭐️  RATING:  4 out of 5 Stars, 130+ reviews | ⏳  TOUR LENGTH:  1 hour 45 minutes | ✔️  BOOK NOW

1 day london bus tour

Deck the halls in London with a beautiful Christmas lights bus tour during the winter season.

There is something so insanely magical about London in winter when the Christmas lights are on, and this tour will take you right down some of the most important streets like Oxford Street and Regent’s Street.

The best part is that on the upper deck, you’ll be right under and right up close to the lights, as well as have a great vantage point to lights on the sides of the street lighting up the shops.

It’s a really wonderful tour to take in London in the winter if you’re visiting around the holiday season, and one I recommend to my friends and family often.

Cruise passenger dies after shuttle bus crash

One woman has died and 10 others were injured after a shuttle bus crashed into the transportation area outside a Honolulu cruise terminal Friday, according to police.

The ship, Carnival Miracle, was on a 15-day journey, departing Long Beach, California, on April 6, according to Carnival Cruise Line. Nine of the people hit by the vehicle were cruise ship passengers.

"Sadly, one guest has died from her injuries. She was traveling with her husband, who was also injured and is expected to recover. Members of the Carnival Care Team are assisting the guests. Our thoughts are with the guests affected and their loved ones," Carnival Cruise Line said in a statement to ABC News.

A 57-year-old man was dropping off customers at pier 2 when a bystander told him that his vehicle was moving forward. He then jumped into the drivers seat, trying to stop the vehicle, but he accidentally pressed the gas pedal instead of the brakes, colliding with two concrete barriers and eleven pedestrians, according to the Honolulu Police Department.

Five pedestrians were transported to the hospital -- one of whom was later pronounced dead and four others are in good condition. Six other pedestrians refused treatment on the scene, police said.

According to police, speed does not appear to be a contributing factor in the collision and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.

The investigation is ongoing.

Go beneath the streets on this tour of the spectacular, mind-bending Moscow Metro! Be awed by architecture and spot the Propaganda , then hear soviet stories from a local in the know. Finish it all up above ground, looking up to Stalins skyscrapers, and get the inside scoop on whats gone on behind those walls.

Know More about this tour

We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Our first stop will be the Aviator’s House, one of Stalin’s Seven Sisters, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — and you’ll hear the legends of what has gone on inside the walls. Throughout your Moscow tour, you’ll learn curious facts from soviet history while seeing how Russia exists now, 25 years after the USSR.

Allegheny County DA Zappala tours Kennywood days ahead of opening to ensure safety

With Kennywood’s opening day just two days away, the district attorney wanted to tour the park and get a sense of the security level.

Channel 11 asked him if he was confident heading into this weekend, and he said yes.

Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Zappala walked side by side with Kennywood officials as he toured the park before opening day.

He noted the number of security cameras throughout the park and said Kiddie Land has the greatest number of cameras per square foot in Western Pennsylvania.

He also took a look at the park’s dispatch center, where security can watch cameras and direct the 100 officers who will be manning the park.

“Unfortunately, because of the number of people who come into in area, you can never be 100%, but I like it,” he said. “I like our odds.”

As we’ve reported in the past, there are concerns about people sneaking into the park. The DA told us that security will now be using AI to prevent that.

Channel 11′s Gabriella DeLuca will have those details at 4 p.m. on Channel 11 News.
