Love the entire crew and the view. Cocktails were amazing!! Lake is very friendly, everyone waved at us. It was so cool. Captain Lee was our tour guide pointing out coves, historic homes, etc. We were on the booze cruise. Lotta was cleaned and well kept. It was surprising our table was reserved with our crackers and cheese, and salsa and chips. Zach was great. It's been a while since I have been on a boat tour. I will plan more with Miss Lotta Cruises.

Thank you so much for your stellar review. We are happy to hear you had such a wonderful experience and we hope to see you back on Miss Lotta soon!

Photo of Nicole A.

Heard great things about the Miss Lotta from multiple friends so we booked a lunch cruise. Check in was a breeze. The staff was extremely pleasant and personable. We enjoyed the inside dining cabin, as well as the tables upstairs and outside. Children under 12 need to wear a life jacket outside. The views were breathtaking and the captains really knew their lake history. Drink prices were surprisingly reasonable. A Shirley temple was $2.50 and a Diet Coke was $2. We didn't have any alcohol, but their menu looked interesting and delicious. The food is the only thing giving this review a 4, and it's still a strong 4. We were offered 3 sandwich options - tuna, mozzarella pesto or turkey. The main meal was tilapia in a red clam sauce and some sort of kielbasa. We also had pasta salad and regular salad. Everything was good, but my 7 year old ate sandwich bread, and only sandwich bread, for her whole meal. Nothing was "kid friendly". Had I known the menu beforehand, I would have brought her a pb&j or a bar to hold her over. She was starving when we docked....Which defeated the purpose of having a lunch cruise. Dessert some sort of walnut cake and it was decadent! I'd love to return for a breakfast brunch cruise.

Thank you Nicole, for sharing your experience with us and for providing a review. We are happy to hear that the majority of your experience was pleasant and we are going to forward your feedback to our caterer in regard to offering more kid friendly options on our lunch cruises in the future. We offer a variety of specialty cruises geared towards families, such as our Family Dinner Night cruise and Pirate Family Lunch. These cruises have a menu geared towards children and families and could be a great option for your next cruise. We hope to see you again soon!

Easy boarding & clean boat. Seating on both levels is comfortable and the captains are friendly. Hard to understand what they say over the fuzzy-sounding PA system. For the duration of the cruise, they played music from the 1970s-1990s via some radio station with annoying commercials every 15 minutes. My dad ordered a Tom Collins and the waitress brought him a vodka with club soda. Then he ordered an $11 Manhattan which was served warm. Our waitress was a clueless teenager. The appetizers included in the price of the ticket were: chips & guac, bruschetta & toast, and a big pretzel cut up into pieces, served with mustard. One couple onboard arrived already buzzed, got totally inebriated onboard, groped each other incessantly, and their behavior went downhill from there.

Hi Jess, Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We were not aware that our sound system was not working correctly. Lake Hopatcong Cruises is in the process of addressing the issues. We are surprised to hear there were commercials every 15 minutes because we use Spotify Premium which is ad free. Our experienced bartenders always offer our guests a variety of well-crafted drinks. If a mistake was made, we apologize. We take pride in our hard-working staff and all that they do for our guests and Lake Hopatcong Cruises. The “clueless” remark upset our Cruise’s family. Thank you for your input and thank you for cruising with us.

We've cruised on Miss Lotta a few times prior to our most recent cruise last night. in general we thought it was over priced for what you get. The food was nothing special and nothing to rave about. The dessert was something to laugh at. 4 giant brownies or fudge bars (not exactly sure) were plopped on one dish and left at the table. No fork or separate plate to eat it with. ‍‍ In the past they had a small assortment of cookies/pastries. I understand that things have changed recently but $134 plus tax and drinks is a bit much. we won't be back.

Photo of Ray K.

The cruise started off with everyone rushing to get on the upper deck. First come first serve they said. They have the capability of putting enough seats up there if they get rid of the tables and since there was no more seats left me and my wife had to sit in the dining deck right next to the buffet. We were first to get offered drinks and food but then the line started for the food and the other customers were obviously staring at us eating and what was on our plate. Once we finished our meal we went to the upper deck since everyone else was eating. We get up there and the ppl decided to try to save their seats by putting there drinks and sweaters on the seats. I said F that and I moved someone's stuff to get seats. Also the server said they had 2 ipas and brings me a Lager

Hi Ray, Thank you for your input. You are correct that our upper-level seating is first come, first serve. We must follow all the rules and regulations put in place by the United States Coast Guard. We apologize for the confusion on the beer you ordered. Sometimes people make innocent mistakes. Thanks for being so understanding.

My wife bought tickets for the Halloween brunch cruise. Today is actually the last day of the season before the Miss Lotta is hauled out of the lake for dry storage till April of 2020. The staff on board did a great job preparing everything on board. The weather wasn't the best for a cruise around the lake, but everyone had a great time. The brunch was Buffett style and was really good. Cash bar for those who want something other than coffee or a soft drink. They do other theme cruises during the year, and I saw pictures on television monitors of wedding parties. They also offer cocktail and sunset cruises. There's a parking lot across the street from where the dock is. Will definitely be back next summer for another cruise around Lake Hopatcong.

It's really a shame because the cruise itself, the food, captain, and wait staff are really great and deserve 5 stars. My family and I have been on 2 cruises so far and we really enjoyed them. The reason I give 2 stars is because the woman who answers the phone and emails (who I think is a manager) is extremely rude and unprofessional. Their website clearly states that they don't do refunds but they will allow rescheduling for emergencies. That's fine and we understood that when we booked. We had 2 tickets that needed to be rescheduled and when we tried to reschedule the woman on the phone questioned the validity of our emergency. I asked if we'd get email confirmation of our reschedule and she said yes but we never did. When my mother emailed to ask when we'd get our confirmation, the woman literally emailed back "I already spoke to your daughter. Speak to her." Absolutely terrible customer service, completely unprofessional, and will never be going back. Like I said, really a shame because everything else was great.

What a wonderful way to spend 2 hours. The food was great; the service was great and the price was reasonable. I actually live on the lake and had been reluctant to go as I have a boat... shouldn't have been. It was Teriffic. Go. Do it. Even if you live here.

Photo of Rene B.

I bought tickets for the weekend cocktail cruise to celebrate a birthday and it was great! They keep the number of people on the boat just right so you can enjoy the entire boat- especially the upstairs deck without feeling crowded. We were a group of 8. The views were incredible and the appetizers were tasty. It was a perfect at to celebrate and see the beauty of the lake. My only issue is a cocktail cruise should include the price of a cocktail. For $40 you at least get one drink included. Otherwise it was a great time.

miss lotta cruise schedule 2023

A lovely tour of the lake. The views are wonderful and they tell lots of stories about the people and places around the lake. The buffet lunch was delicious, catered by the Windlass, a nice selection of salads, wraps, salmon with rice and chicken with potatoes. Brownies were awesome! Drink prices were reasonable and the servers were very attentive. If it's a nice day you should try the upper deck. You can eat up there too. We look forward to going back, it was a fun day.

Miss Lotta - A great lunch cruise on the lake with excellent food

We arrived on a Friday afternoon at 11:30. The sky was grey and it was cool. By noon, when we "set sail", the sun was peeking out and we were even able to go up stairs to take pictures. The captains and crew were extremely courteous. This was a lunch cruise and the food was excellent. (It comes from Alice's Restaurant across the road) We had salad, pasta, sliced potatoes/onion/bacon, assorted vegetables, chicken, and salmon. The boat was not quite full and we had plenty of room. We had a narated tour of the sights on the lake, and ended with a light dessert and coffee. We were very satisfied and would do this again. It is a good chance to bring out-of-town guests for a "thing to do". Keep in mind, it is a rain or shine event, and if the boat is booked solid, you will be crowded trying to get everyone inside.

We were invited to a cruise around the lake as a birthday celebration. The captains and crew were courteous and attentive. The boat left and returned timely. The boat was clean from top to bottom and there was adequate seating both indoors and out. The sound system and TV screens were good quality (the Giants were playing during the cruise). Dress according to the weather though if it does get chilly or rainy, there is a completely enclosed cabin to sit in. The food that was served was catered from a local restaurant and there was plenty to eat-tailgate type selections. Overall a good experience. I would recommend this charter!

Inside of boat is small..which is where everyone was due to an impending hurricane. Beer and food were served (both plentiful), but there was not enough seating and it was very very tight. They did not cancel the cruise, which I am very disappointed about. I understand no one wants to lose money, but for $53 a ticket, we sat/stood in a crowded room and ate cold pretzel sticks and sliders. Of course the fine print included "this is a rain or shine event"...but this wasn't just "rain". NJ was in a State of Emergency. I just do not feel this is adequate business practice.

it's a very nice lake and the area is nice .the boat is nice but a little pricey for what they have and the boat is kinda small

What a delightful day ! We bought this cruise as a birthday present to my sister, as we grew up going to Bertrands Island amusement park and we cruised the lake on our boat. We took the narrated brunch cruise with Martin Kane-- President of the Lake Hopatcong Museum. He brought all the sites to life sharing his knowledge and referring to his book, Lake Hopatcong Then and Now 2008. We purchased the book so we could peruse it at our leisure. The brunch is catered by Alice's Restaurant which was delicious--especially the mac and cheese. A great day on the lake with Miss Lotta, a beautiful new boat with a wonderful crew and servers.

What a beautiful view of the lake. The Captain & his Skipper were fabulous hosts. Our server, Janet was like a mind reader for our party of (4). She was awesome! The food was excellent. Definitely would recommend this cruise. So much fun.
