Update: All shows have been postponed to 2024 due to Steven Tyler’s damaged vocal cords and fractured larynx. New dates will be added once announced.
We’ve got important news for Aerosmith fans that “don’t want to miss a thing.”
Following Steven Tyler’s sustained vocal injury at a Sept. 9 concert in Long Island, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers officially announced rescheduled tour dates for six shows on their ‘Peace Out Farewell Tour.’
“I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days,” Tyler shared on Instagram . “I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”
The new show dates will take place in late January and early February 2024.
According to the band’s Instagram account, “All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates” and “Refunds will be available for those unable to attend.”
If you’re in New York or New Jersey, you don’t need to worry about your show dates — nothing has changed.
Aerosmith’s concerts are still set for Dec. 28 at Newark’s Prudential Center , Buffalo, NY’s KeyBank Center Jan. 16, 2024 and New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Jan. 19, 2024.

However, drummer Joey Kramer will be sitting this run of shows out to “focus his attention on his family and health” according to AP News .

About Aerosmith
Celebrating their 50th anniversary, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members Aerosmith have sold more than 150 million albums around the world, produced genre-defining music videos such as “Amazing,” “Crazy,” “Janie’s Got A Gun,” “Livin’ On The Edge,” and “Love In An Elevator,” and launched extravagant record-shattering global tours, most recently with their smash hit Las Vegas residency. The band has broken numerous boundaries, including becoming the first rock band with a massive commercially successful hip-hop collaboration with Run DMC on “Walk This Way” and the first hard rock band to appear during a Super Bowl Halftime Show with their 2001 performance, and in 1999, Aerosmith became the first band to have their own themed attraction at Disney World in Florida and later Paris with the launch of the Rock ‘N’ Roller coaster starring Aerosmith. About The Black Crowes
In 1990, when journalists were lamenting the death of rock, as cheesy pop and hair metal dominated the charts, Atlanta’s Black Crowes gave the genre a swift and much needed kick in the ass with Shake Your Money Maker . Fueled by singles “Jealous Again,” “Twice As Hard,” “She Talks To Angels,” and the break-through cover of Otis Redding’s “Hard To Handle,” the band immediately took the rock world by storm, topping Rolling Stone’s “Best New American Band Readers Poll” in late 1990. The Black Crowes went on to release eight studio and four live albums, selling in the tens of millions along the way; they sold out shows around the world; had legendary guitarist Jimmy Page join as a member; got kicked off a tour with ZZ Top for insulting the sponsor; got screwed by bad record deals; got married and divorced, fought amongst themselves and against the rest of the world. In other words, they’ve done everything a legendary rock group should do

Aerosmith are a blues-rock band hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, U.S who formed in 1970. They are regularly referred to as “America’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band” and are to this day one of the most successful touring rock bands in the world.
Most legendary bands should descend into a kind of caricature in their third decade of being a band. No-one can keep up a hell-raising reputation after they’ve passed the age where they would normally have kids and those that try are utterly hilarious for all the wrong reasons. That, and the fact that as time goes on we get other bands and artists being ever more outrageous in what they do and say. This means that it’s difficult for a modern day audience to read about what made last generation’s parents get up in arms about and truly understand why it was so shocking at the time.
However, that’s where Aerosmith come in. Aerosmith are timeless, they’re cool whatever your surroundings and when you look at them today, you still feel the kind of thrill you get when the most dangerous person you know winks at you. Put simply, Aerosmith are still a bunch of badasses 45 years into their career, and they won’t be stopping any time soon. The band began with The Toxic Twins themselves, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, fronting their own bands, called Chain Reaction and The Jam Band respectively.
In 1970 the two bands played together on the same bill, and Tyler was completely taken with Perry’s band, which already contained future Aerosmith rhythm section Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer on bass and drums respectively. Tyler wanted to combine the two bands and after talking it over, that’s exactly what he got. By October 1970, the band had moved in together, Monkees style, and started writing music and rehearsing for future shows. By 1971, they’d finalised the line up with the addition of Brad Whitford on the rhythm guitar, and the following year, by playing a gig in the presence of the head of Columbia Records Clive Davis, they got themselves a record deal.
January 1973 saw the release of their self-titled debut album. Pretty much immediately they gained a devoted following with a strong album and a decent sized hit with their single “Dream On”. That’s where their career stayed for the next couple of years, their raucous Blues-rock cutting out a fine niche for them and their live shows were as unmissable as they ever would be. 1975 would change everything. Their third album “Toys In The Attic” would take them from a jobbing but talented rock band to global megastars on par with Zeppelin and The Stones.
Ever since then they’ve been legendary for all the right reasons. They have the songs, the live show, the story and the legacy, everyone from Metallica to Motley Crue swear by their Aerosmith records and even Kurt Cobain was heavily influenced by their album “Rocks”. They’ve managed to weather any storm that a lifetime of rock and roll can throw at them and come out the other side with a live show that can still knock people for six. Knowing the habits that Tyler and Perry had in their prime, they’re lucky to still be around, but we’re lucky to have them around and rocking as well. Any self-respecting rock fan would do well to see this band as soon as possible.
Live reviews
When I heard that Aerosmith was playing in my area I decided to attend. Just so I could tell my kids I saw such a legendary band.
They are truly one of the legends of classic rock. The place was very crowded and the arena was sold out. The band started out with “Love in an Elevator” and then played the great song “Sweet Emotion”. Steven Tyler sounded great and Joe Perry was awesome on guitar. They had a tons of cool effects and lighting.
They also were really, really loud! My ears were hurting at some points during the show. They did “Dream on” and also played a lot of their 1990’s hits. They had one section in the set where they played like it was 1978 again and did the song “Train Kept a Rollin” which really brought the house down.
The crowd was great and it was a good mix of young, middle age, and older people. The band did several encores including “Walk this Way” and “Janie’s Got a Gun”. They played the classic video with Run DMC when they did Walk this Way.
The show was about 2 hours and it was great. But my ears are still hurting, they were really loud...
Report as inappropriate
When Aerosmith have attained the reputation as "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band", they clearly must have a live show that matches this lofty claim. Obviously their commercial success and iconic status goes without saying, but at the age of 66, can Steve Tyler and co really still wow fans?
Luckily, they still rock out with the intensity of a band 40 years their junior. From the bold opener 'Train Kept A-Rollin'' you know you are in for an energetic show that will keep you entertained throughout. Now a household name, Aerosmith treat audiences to a dose of nostalgia playing classics such as 'Livin' On The Edge' and 'Cryin''. Unfortunately my personal favourite 'Janie's Got A Gun' was not on the setlist but with no sign of slowing down, maybe they'll add it to future dates.
The combination of a cover of The Beatles' 'Come Together' and 'Walk This Way' made for a huge closer perhaps surpassable by many other bands considered to be in the same league as Aerosmith.
Wow!!!!! at his age Mr. Tyler can still bust a move, to the point where he split his snake skin pants in the rear. He maintained his sense of humour and pointed it out later to the crowd. What a guy!!! His singing voice is still paramount! He definitely loves to be the entertainer in front of a very large crowd. I do hope he continues for many years to come. He's still got it. More than that he will sing to members of the audience and throw out trinkets of memorabilia. There was never a dull moment at Big Music Festival in Kitchener on July 13, 2014. The band supports him totally as do his camera and prop people. Sorry to say, this was the first time I had an opportunity to see Aerosmith live, but God willing, it won't be my last. Flamboyant and fun is the easiest way to describe my experience at a live performance of Aerosmith. Steven Tyler loves what he does and always will.
I have been an Aerosmith fan since I was 2 years old, back in 1974, and I used to try to swerve my hips back 'n' forth à la Steven Tyler.
I have only had the chance to see them 3 times in my life, and it seems that every time they come in concert life whisks me away some place else!
So now I'm in Cyprus for a long time coming... and nearly nobody ever comes out to this little (amazing) island at the end of the Mediterranean sea. It's unfortunate as there are some true fans out here, and I'm sure the band would love to make a pitstop in this paradisal place.
@Aerosmith - PLEASE COME!!! It really is worth it here.
I have seen Aerosmith over 30 times!!! I am from Fl., in 2015 they didn't come to the east coast. So I went to the 2nd to last concert of "The Blue Army Tour" in Hildago,Tx.
It was the best concert by them that I have seen yet.
3rd row 3rd seat, Steven Tyler seemed and acted like he was a 25-year-old .
After 30 times of seeing them I felt like it was my 1st. He threw his harmonica to me and I went nuts.
I have to say that it was the highlight of my life. Next to having my son it was the best day of my life.
I can hardly wait until they come again.......it won't be soon enough.
So great! As usual. Living Color just a huge bonus. This entire Blue Army Tour had been something I will talk about forever. It's not over, nor am I. The show was so fabulous I intend on going to Vegas for certain and Ohio if I can get tickets.
Each show has been a packed-house: but they make you feel like your the only one there.
Living Color just starts starts it off with so much energy. The crowd is pumped. Aerosmith follows it up and keeps the entire show going.
Living Color had a new album coming. I can't wait.
Aerosmith are a legendary band and their concerts are full of energy and really entertaining. Sure, they are older and one can tell that it's not exactly the same anymore but to perform the way they do at their age... it's incredible. They leave everything onstage and it's a wonderful experience.
I recommend seeing them live if they're in town.
This was my first time I saw Aerosmith.. It was a fantastic show.. I were very impressed by there performance and the tempo they had.. Very sad it's their last tour because they are so fucking good and I want to enjoy there outstanding and professional performance more then this one time..
Aerosmith fan for life now!
This was amassing ! The best concert in my life !!! Go there you'll not regret !!!
I am from Armenia, but I live in Georgia now. So I couldn't buy a ticket first, it was sold out. Then when I found I was happiest person in the world. I was always saying that Tyler is the sexiest man in the world. He is still !!!

Aerosmith Sets Farewell Tour for September
Drummer Joey Kramer will not be joining the tour and instead will “focus his full attention on his family and health”
This fall, Aerosmith fans are going to be cryin’ along with the legendary rockband. Frontman Steven Tyler and co. announced their Peace Out farewell tour on Monday, kicking off in September.
The tour will start on Sept. 2 in Philadelphia. The 40-date farewell across North America will include stops in Los Angeles, New York City, Austin, Seattle, Chicago and Toronto as well as a hometown show in Boston on New Year’s Eve. The Peace Out tour will wrap on Jan. 26 in Montreal.
Tickets will go on sale Friday.
“It’s not goodbye it’s PEACE OUT!” Aerosmith said in a statement. “Get ready and walk this way, you’re going to get the best show of our lives.”
Though Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford will be on tour, drummer Joey Kramer will not be joining, the statement revealed.
“While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health,” the band said in a statement. “Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed.”
The Black Crowes, best known for the albums “Share Your Money Maker” and “The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion,” will open for the Peace Out tour.
Aerosmith is coming off of its Las Vegas concert residency, Aerosmith: Deuces Are Wild, which ran from 2019 to 2022. The residency was interrupted for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last fall, the band also broke a Fenway Park record when it performed at the Boston institution, kicking off the band’s 50th anniversary celebration. Over 38,700 people attended the event.
One of the best known and influential rock bands of their time, Aerosmith was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Tyler and Perry were then inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2013. Over the course of their existence, the band has sold over 150 million records worldwide, including over 85 million records in the United States. They hold 25 gold, 18 platinum and 12 multi-platinum albums and have won four Grammy Awards, six American Music Awards and 10 MTV Video Music Awards.
The American band incorporated elements of pop-punk, heavy metal, glam metal and blues into their hard rock sound. Among their greatest hits are “Walk This Way,” “Cryin’,” “Sweet Emotion,” “Dream On” and “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.” They’re also the only rock band to currently have their own major roller coaster, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
However, it’s not all great music and thrill rides. Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler is currently being sued for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenager in the 1970s. Tyler wrote about the relationship in his memoir, “Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?” The rock star and his legal team have since argued that because Tyler had legal custody over the then-minor, this gives him “immunity or qualified immunity to Defendant as caregiver and/or guardian.”
