There’s a possibility you haven’t thought twice about tossing your shoes directly into your suitcase — but you should. Not only do shoe bags make for space-efficient and neat packing, but they also keep your clothes safe from dirt and grime from your shoe soles.

They’re great for travel and come in handy for other uses — tote your shoes in a gym bag or backpack, use for shoe storage, or even use as packing cubes.

If the idea of shoe bags is new to you, or if you’re in the market for new ones, you want to consider some key points before you purchase.

Shoe Bag Capacity

Travel shoe bags often come in multi-packs meant for single pairs of shoes but can also be larger duffle-style bags intended to accommodate a few different pairs. If you need multiple shoe options while traveling, get a shoe bag with multiple compartments .

For sunny destinations and beach vacations, a lightweight shoe bag that fits your walking shoes and a pair of sandals is perfect. If you’re traveling with minimal clothing or want ones you can use daily, simple shoe bags meant for 1 pair are probably the best fit.

Shoe bag Design

When purchasing a travel shoe bag, you want to look for a few features. Drawstring bags are the most basic of all, and bags with translucent mesh or transparent panels allow you to see the contents without opening them .

If you prefer zippers over drawstrings, ensure that they’re sturdy — and you may also like double-zippers or flat zippers. You might also choose a bag with a loop handle so you can carry it or hang it up.

Cleaning Requirements

This detail probably doesn’t dawn on many people, but it’s crucial for when your travel shoe bag inevitably gets grimy. Sure, they’re meant to get dirty, but you should clean them so that dirt doesn’t transfer to the next pair you put in.

Synthetic materials like nylon are really easy to clean. A damp cloth mostly removes mud or grime, and you can quickly wipe the bag dry. This type of material might take longer to clean and dry than bags made of cotton or other fabrics that aren’t waterproof or water-resistant.

Hot Tip: If you choose natural fibers, chances are you can just toss your bags in the washing machine for even easier cleaning.

Water Resistance

Shoe Bag Water Resistance

Many shoe bags are listed as water-resistant because their zippers or drawstrings aren’t waterproof, making them weak areas that could allow water in. However, water-resistant is still a win and keeps your shoes safe and dry.

The flip side is that they’ll also keep your belongings dry if your shoes had to be packed wet or muddy — especially practical if you’re traveling in the spring or fall months. Shoe bags are also handy for trapping odors, which is useful given how wet shoes can smell!

Size and Storability

Some people might be lucky enough to have lots of storage room for suitcases and bags — others, not so much. If your shoe collection requires a bigger travel shoe bag, and you have somewhere to store it, then that’s a great option.

If you only need one for 1 or 2 pairs at a time, live in a small apartment, or have minimal storage space, you may want soft-shell bags . What they lack in structure, they make up for in versatility, and you can fold many of them up to save space.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size shoes fit in shoe bags.

Each shoe bag has different dimensions and will accommodate different sizes of shoes. Check the specifications to know what size of men’s and women’s shoes will fit in your bag.

Will all types of shoes fit in shoe bags?

Not all shoes are made equally so you’ll also have to consider this when looking at dimensions. Sandals, casual shoes, and regular sneakers are generally pretty safe bets. However, hi-top sneakers, winter boots, and wedge heels might require slightly bigger or wider travel shoe bags.

Do shoe bags really make a difference?

Absolutely. Just like packing cubes, travel shoe bags let you store your shoes in one designated spot without taking up valuable real estate in your bag. If you’re a seasoned traveler or backpacker, you’ll know the satisfaction of perfecting your packing game.

Are shoe bags multi-functional?

Yes. One of the great features of travel shoe bags is that you can use them for many different things, so they won’t just sit around taking up space when you’re not traveling. They can double as laundry bags, packing cubes, pouches, or permanent shoe storage bags in your closet at home.

Putting shoes in a shoe bag - Best travel shoe bags

Why Use Shoe Bags?

Because having a travel bag for shoes just makes things so much better.

1. Packing Becomes Easier

While, of course, it’s not gonna be true for everyone, for some I’m sure it will.

Like for myself. I’m traveling with a single carry on size backpack. There are only a few ways how you can pack shoes in a backpack. I prefer to keep mine together and near the top of the backpack, definitely not under the rest of my stuff.  Same like I put all of my clothing into packing cubes , I like to have my shoes or flip flops packed into something.

It’s one of my best packing tips – keep your things organized. Use packing organizers ( packing cubes , electronics organizers , ziploc travel bags etc.).

2. It Saves Your Time

It’s obvious. If you pack better, it saves your time.

If your shoes are packed in some kind of protective travel shoe bag / shoe carrier, you can pack faster. You don’t have to think about your shoes too much anymore. Apart from that – the better organized are your belongings, the easier it becomes to pack your luggage. And the less time it takes.  As simple as that.

While it’s not as common, there are also multiple shoe travel bags.

If you would like to have even less stuff.

3. It Protects Your Shoes and the Rest of Your Belongings

If you use a shoe bag, you don’t have to think about your shoes too much.

Same like you don’t have to think about the rest of your stuff getting dirty off the shoes anymore as well. Making it one of the best travel accessories you should put on your packing list. So you got it, next time you’re going on a trip better get yourself a shoe cover for travel.

How to pack shoes in a suitcase? If you’re traveling with a suitcase and aren’t using shoe bags, here are some of the best ways to pack shoes .

Packing Cube vs. Shoe Bag?

Do you really need to buy a shoe bag?

Can’t you use a packing cube instead?

Yes, you could. But it’s not the best option. Most packing cubes are made of less durable materials than shoe bags. But it’s not the only reason. Many packing cubes feature a mesh screen for ventilation. Thanks to this mesh screen, you can also identify what’s in each packing cube. Yes, it’s a cool feature, but it won’t help contain all the dirt and sand from your shoes. All of it will spill through the mesh screen, and as a result, other stuff in your bag may get dirty.

So that’s why we would recommend buying a shoe bag for travel.

What to Keep In Mind When Buying a New Shoe Bag?

Here are the questions to ask yourself first.

1. How Many Pairs of Shoes Do You Carry With You?

The number of shoe bags you need to purchase will depend on this.

If you are carrying more than one pair of shoes, you it won’t be enough with just one shoe bag. Luckily, most shoe bags come in sets, and those sets are not expensive. So, you won’t end breaking your bank.

2. What Is Your Shoe Size?

Some shoe bags are smaller than others.

If you have a large shoe size, keep in mind that some shoe bags aren’t big enough to fit large shoe sizes. Always check dimensions of a shoe bag before buying.

3. What Type to Choose?

There are several types of shoe bags.

The most popular — drawstring shoe bags and zippered shoe bags.

Drawstring shoe bags usually are a bit cheaper than the zippered ones. The cheapest drawstring shoe bags may not have drawstring locks, so you’ll need to tie the knot yourself every time you close the bag. Our favorite ones are the shoe bags with a zipper closure. They are more easier to use and more practical. Usually the zipper is located in the middle of the bag, so it’s easy to pack and unpack them.

If you don’t like any of these types , you can opt for a “packing cube-type” shoe bag that can hold multiple pairs. These type of shoe bags are less popular, and more expensive. For example, this Mossio shoe bag can hold 3 pairs of shoes. Is it a good choice? It depends on the size of your luggage.

You see, when you use regular shoe bags, you put one pair in each shoe bag, distributing them evenly in the internal compartments of your luggage. This helps you pack smarter. However, you can’t do that with shoe bags that hold multiple pairs. If your luggage isn’t big, this is not the best option for you.

Before buying a shoe bag, make sure it’s a waterproof shoe bag.

You don’t want mud seeping from the shoe bag onto your stuff.

4. Choose a Shoe Bag That Is Easy to Clean

Shoes often are dusty and/or dirty.

So, you’ll need to wash your shoe bags frequently. Choose shoe bags that are easy to care for, and dry quickly. This is important because you might want to wash and dry your shoe bags already during your trip. That’s why we recommend you to choose lightweight and quick drying shoe bags that you can wash or rinse in the sink and let dry in your hotel room.

Alternative Uses of Shoe Bags

Bought one too many shoe bags?

You can use your shoe bag as a:

  • Bag for cables;
  • Bag for clothes;
  • Laundry bag;
  • Organizers for your closet;
  • Bag for children’s toys.

10 Best Shoe Suitcases and Travel Bags for Multiple Shoes

Packing clothes for vacation is always a painstaking task, and shoes are often the worst part. Shoes are bulky and often smell bad, so they require a little bit more attention than the rest of your travel commodities.

What is a shoe bag?

Since packing shoes can be tricky, a shoe bag is typically a small, flat, rectangular bag with a thickly-padded interior. Most will have space for either one or two pairs of shoes, with a little wiggle room.

A packing cube for shoes is a small compressed bag designed to organize and compartmentalize footwear inside your luggage.

How to pick the right shoe travel bag

The key to organizing kicks in your luggage is having the right set of shoe bags and cases. There are three important qualities to look for: label, waterproof ability, and compression.

Labeled bags are important if you are packing multiple shoes. Waterproof fabric will protect your expensive shoes from moisture that can cause irreparable damage , and compression cubes are essential when you are packing shoes in with your clothes.

Compression packing cubes help seal the unpleasant shoe smell and ensure that the clothes inside your luggage will still be fresh and clean.

11 Best Shoe Bags for Travel, Work & the Gym

11 Best Shoe Bags for Travel, Work & the Gym

Shoes are messy.

Have you ever thrown a pair in your travel bag or gym bag and thought some separation from your clothes and gear would be a good idea?

Here’s a solution: bags that slide onto your shoes or boots and keep them from dirtying up your other packed items.

  • It’s not one size fits all . And I do mean that literally. Some shoe travel bags are built for sneakers, others for much larger work or hiking boots. Find the bag that fits not only your shoe size, but also your shoe type.
  • Light and waterproof . Typically, shoe travel bags are made with lightweight materials (like polyester or nylon) that are also waterproof—or, at the very least, feature a waterproof coating. Sometimes the waterproofing is on the inside (to keep wet/muddy shoes from leaking), sometimes on the outside (to protect valuable sneakers from the rain), and sometimes on both.
  • Stuff-friendly is ideal . When not in use, shoe travel bags should be small enough to stuff into a pocket of your duffel bag or backpack. Some even come with their own stuff sack that makes it easy to pack them small and tuck them out of the way.

After personally testing more than a dozen bags and combing through dozens more, I’ve winnowed down all my options to the very best shoe travel bags to make your packing and transporting shoes exponentially easier and cleaner.

Note : Many gym backpacks include a built-in shoe compartment in case you are looking for something for that purpose.

A Travel Shoe Case Is Great to Organize Expensive Shoes When Travelling

You’re not purchasing packing cubes to get more space. Compression bags are a much better option for that, but they have a tendency to wrinkle garments and that’ll get your clothes disorganized. But, you are in fact helped by packing cubes. Just set the shoe boxes in the luggage. You could also put tissue paper or washed socks in every shoe, to help them maintaining their shapes.

How to Save Space for Your Shoes When Traveling

Due to the fact that we constantly need to handle our travel luggage on our journeys, the most important guideline in packaging for a journey is to make your baggage light weight. Think about it, you’ll be putting your baggage into the car, loading it off and on, you must make your way through the airport with it, lift it ones more from the travel luggage carousel. Leaving the airport at the destination, you often must lift it ones more into a rental car, and then up the stairs to your hotel room.

Since it’s started to become quite expensive  paying for overweight luggage , you could actually save money packing the right way. A lot of travelers fail to pack lightly since they often pack their shoes in the wrong way. They pack too many shoes. And often they pack the heaviest pair and travel in their lightest, when it should be the other way around.

Best Ways to Secure My Shoes in My Luggage

As mentioned, inside your shoes, put little things like underclothing or socks. Wrap paper around each shoeor put them in bags. with specific shoe cubicles, this step is easier.

Put your packed shoes in first, preferably with their soles on any side of the primary compartment.

Packing shoes is the hardest part for the majority of people. You need a lot of different pairs. They need a great deal of your luggage area.

There’s a lot of good shoe packaging techniques out there. But packing in a way that protects both your shoes and the rest of your stuff, is the best way to go. We highly recommend shoe travel boxes or cubicles for this purpose.

What Is the Best Way to Pack Shoes When Traveling?

Travel in your heaviest pair of shoes. That way you can pack your lightest and smallest pairs. Packable shoes are sandals, flats, sneakers, boat shoes, flip flops, espadrilles. Packing heavy shoes, big boots, or even very high heels, is a bad idea.

travelling packing shoes

If you need to bring high heels or booties, try to find a stack-on shoe storage container for travel. You put your shoes in the travel shoe case, and mount it on top of your carry-on luggage.

Always let the pairs you’re gonna put in your luggage air out for a couple of days after wearing them. When putting shoes in shoe boxes or shoe storage cubicles, it is important to wrap them in some packing paper or textile. This way you avoid them rubbed or scuffed towards each other.

Do not load shoes that require to be “broken in”. If the shoes harm your feet at house, they’ll injure them on the roadway. Then you’ve packed a pair too many. Or maybe you’ll have to buy a new pair of shoes at the destination. Only pack shoes you’ve broken in and that you know are comfy.

The best travel shoes are a lot like walking shoes : they're built with a level of comfort so you can stand and walk in them for hours. But unlike most walking shoes, a solid pair of travel shoes is much more cushioned, and are also easier to pack into your suitcase. That means they come in clutch if you're dashing at the airport, or lounging at the hotel lobby.

What to Consider

The most important factor is a combination of comfort and support. You don't want to wear toasty slippers if you're driving in the car or trekking through the airport, and you don't need to wear some lace-up hiking boots to get the best support possible. Some travel shoes can lean more on comfort (Oofos, Hoka), while others can lean more towards support (Amberjack, Blundstone). The key is to find a happy medium here and get what suits you and the travel situation at hand the best. For example, if you're taking a long flight to another country, it's probably best to aim for more comfort-leaning travel. But if you're making a drive to a weekend getaway, a shoe with more support (and a tougher build) will likely serve as a better choice.

Packability

Unless you plan on wearing a bigger shoe en route to your destination, your travel shoes should be packable. Certain shoes fit better into different sizes of luggage. To assist in the packing process, we assessed which type of travel bag is the ideal minimal size for packing each shoe: Backpack , Carry-On , or Checked Bag . The criteria used were weight, size, and how easily each shoe could be compressed or folded without looking funky once you arrive at your destination. For example, the Amberjack Original is lightweight for a dress shoe but doesn't compress or fold up, so it should go in a carry on bag, at least.

Travel shoes should also be lightweight, and yes, boots can be lightweight too. Dodge any shoe that's got heavy outsoles and avoid materials that are thick and trap heat. Instead, opt for shoes with foam builds and breathable construction.

How We Selected

We consulted with Men's Health writers and editors on the best travel shoes for men in 2024. Experts, including our gear and commerce editor, John Thompson, reviewed a number of travel shoes and evaluated their comfort, weight, and packability. We also considered price point, as some travel shoes promise a better overall value than others

Below, we rounded up the best travel shoes for all types of jet-setting needs. The picks might not all look like they belong in the same boat, but when you see how they all fit, you'll find each travel shoe we selected serves a unique purpose. Ready to see what's in store?

As it turns out, all it took to make this cozy house slipper into a great travel shoe was a suede upgrade. Lusso Cloud has been producing a range of comfortable slippers and casual slides for years now. With a proprietary three layer sole, every pair offers foamy cushioning, along with a springy bounce. The inside contains a lush fabric that feel great on your feet.

Now that the Nomad, one of the startup's bestsellers, comes in a brushed suede upper. It has transitioned from lounge apparel to the ultimate in-transit shoes. The heel has a fold down feature, which not only turns the shoe into a mule, it makes for easy flat packing. It gives off the elevated appearance of a plain toe loafer, and who doesn't like to look their best while traveling?

After having some experience with the original model, we had to take this upgrade for a spin. After a train trip that took over an hour each way, and a few hours spend sitting at a desk, the cushioning held up strong. Where the Lusso Ckoud really shines is on the move. The specially designed outsole has a touch of bounce, similar to a running shoe, while feeling as light as a house slipper on your feet.

Oofos is most known for its out-of-this-world recovery slides , but the brand has since expanded into other footwear styles. This slip-on shoe style packs top-tier cushioning with a breathable upper that can be taken on and off with ease. We like sliding these bad boys on for long flights as well as for general lounging shoes for wherever your accommodations might be (hopefully a resort somewhere exotic).

The two occasions where this travel shoe really shines is during airline travel and while staying at warm weather resorts. Whether you like to keep your toes contained during long flights or set them free, this is the right footwear for the job. The light and airy design is great for warm weather because it breaths so well and minimizes stress on your feet. If water is involved, this slip-on also dries very quickly.

The Ravello Loafer could be described as a house slipper disguised as a loafer, and we mean that in the best way possible. Constructed from a soft textile upper and a flexible rummer outsole, you get the cozy feel of your favorite lounge shoes, but dressier. Even though it isn't leather, Rothys checked all the necessary boxes with this loafer. It pulls off business casual and cocktail attire with ease.

This is the ideal shoe for summer destination weddings because you don't have to pack any other footwear, except maybe some sandals . You can wear this loafer while traveling, especially if a flight is involved, and you can also wear it with a light summer suits . Doing any sight seeing while you're there? This comfy slip on is supportive enough to walk around in all day.

Designed for work, yet cozy enough for play, the Snibbs ROVR is an ideal travel sneaker because it provides all-day comfort. Chef Daniel Schemtob consulted with two doctors to design a lifestyle shoe that can be worn in hot and slipper work environments. The resulting sneaker is not only optimized for restaurant workers and medical professionals, it benefits anyone who spends most of the day on their feet. For example; a tourist who wants to pack all the major sights of a city into a single trip.

A knit mesh upper is lightweight and breathable to combat sweaty feet. Under that, an EVA molded midsole provides ample cushion and bounce in every step. Designed to slip on and off, the upper hugs your foot like a sock. It can even handle those mad dashes to catch your connecting flight.

Some brands really do make 'em like they used to. The Portuguese shoemaker is new to the American market by way of an exclusive partnership with Huckberry. A soft leather interior and padded footbed are meant to go barefoot. With a waxy finish on the upper, there is minor water resistance.

Thanks to a classic leather plain toe look, this travel slip-on works with a wide variety of looks. We like to wear it with everything, from a casual chino suit to swim trunks .

What really sets this mule apart is the crepe outsole. You typically find the material on desert boots and the odd chelsea boot , but it is actually ideal for a travel shoe. The spongy composite is shock absorbing and provides an almost sticky grip. When it wears out—which will happen sooner than later—it is the cheapest type of sole to replace.

Espadrilles are a type of footwear, originating in Spain, with a cotton canvas upper sewn to a woven jute sole. Jute is a rope made from braided plant fiber, similar to hemp. It makes for a light, durable, and supportive footbed that is breathable and naturally moisture regulating. All of these factors make espadrilles perfectly suited for warm weather travel, especially at beaches, lakes, and pools.

Soludos is one of the few major brands still selling authentic espadrilles with real jute soles. Every pair is handcrafted in a way that makes them repairable when any wear and tear occurs. The Seville Smoking Slipper has a cotton canvas upper with a classic slipper shape that comes in a variety of colors and patterns, making for easy vacation styling. Stowing this slipper away is even easier, as it flattens to take up about as much room as a pair of flip-flops.

Hey Dude has taken men's footwear by storm over the past couple of years. The shoes are also super easy to throw on, making them a pair of great summer shoes. Best of all is the fact it is insanely affordable too. Simply put, don't knock 'em until you try 'em.

As long as the attire is casual, there really is no wrong setting for this low-key slip-on. Relaxed vibes are practically sewn right into the sole. However, if you're headed to a watery local, like a beach, lake, or water park, then Hey Dudes really shine. The cushy sole floats in water, so that avoids any sinking mishaps. The whole shoe also dries off very quickly, so it as about as water friendly as a shoe can get.

Dress shoes for traveling can actually be comfortable. Take this pair of oxfords from Amberjack. Named The Original, this shoe is built with heat-activated arch support, durable outsoles, and breathable upper materials (especially suede). Best of all is the fact it can be worn with business casual fits and with more formal business attire.

Think of this travel shoe as optimizing your business trips. The dual density outsole, which is softer in the heel for cushioning and harder at the arch for support, is built to handle extensive walking. If you have to sprint to catch a train, hike from security to your gate, or show out on the dance floor, this is the oxford you want to be wearing.

If you're going for cushioning, then a pair of Hoka's latest Clifton 9 running shoes will serve you right. The Clifton line has been a staple for our fitness editorsm thanks to its lightweight build and supreme level of comfort. When paired up with something dressier, like a loafer for warm weather or an oxford for cooler temperatures, you can cover pretty much any travel situation with.

It won't necessarily pack well in a travel backpack or personal item because of its high-stack cushioning, but if you wear it from point A to point B, you can also double up and have them as a walking shoe or workout shoe on your trip. In fact, it's entirely possible you could go on an entire trip with just this pair of shoes if you really wanted to one-bag-travel the whole thing.

Wearing your favorite boots while you travel is a simple hack to free up space in your suitcase. So which pair of boots are the best? We're big on Blundstones. The #585 is tough as nails, comfortable as heck (with little to no break-in period), and easy to slip on and off. As a Chelsea boot, it pairs well with jeans or chinos for an on-the-go outfits. You can get at least a week out of a couple pairs of pants and a few shirts with this single shoe.

If cold temperatures and precipitation are in the forecast for your vacation, this rugged Chelsea boot will serve you well. The upper is waterproof and the outsole provides slip-resistant traction. While this travel boot isn't insulted, when paired with a good boot sock , it is very warm. Any mud or dirt can be easily wiped off with a damp cloth, to avoid bringing any mess along for the next leg of your adventure.

What Else to Consider

Versatility.

Regardless of where your personal needs lie, your travel shoes must be versatile. You don't want to wear them once on the plane and then never again on your trip. That's just dead weight. Hence the reason why our travel shoes above can feel a bit like a mixed bag. Some of our travel shoe picks are great for lounging once you get to your destination, while others are made to power through your entire trip, whether it be a formal dinner event or a day full of walking.

Tumi’s New Golf Bags Are As Sleek As Its Luggage — Shop the 13 Top Picks From an Avid Golfer

From golf cart bags to totes, Tumi’s new line is going to change the game this year.

Travel + Leisure / Tyler Roeland

As golf’s popularity surges to new heights, brands are putting their own spin on classic gear and accessories needed to shoot par and get around the course. Tumi, with its legacy of durable and coveted high-end luggage, is the latest to dedicate a line to the sport , and they are making a big entrance. They have signed an exclusive partnership with the PGA TOUR and LPGA, becoming the “Official Luggage” of both organizations and debuted the “full range golf collection” at the PGA Show this year to much acclaim and interest.

“Many of Tumi’s consumers are competitive and leisure athletes, so golf makes so much sense for Tumi as a brand,” Victor Sanz, Tumi's Creative Director, told Travel + Leisure . “Our customers are not only looking for high-performing products but those that match their lifestyle.”

An avid golfer myself, I got to experience their new bags and accessories first-hand and let me tell you, they are just as attractive and thoughtful as anything Tumi has made so far. Available in both their signature black and a really cool off-white motif, all the items are quality in look and feel. Here is a rundown of all 13 products available, from their innovative and technically impressive golf bags to sturdy travel cases and golf shoe bags , plus a myriad of accessories that will help you look and feel great on the course.

Tumi Golf Cart Bag

Let’s start with the line’s biggest statement piece, the sleek and innovative Tumi Golf Cart Bag . Sanz told me it’s his favorite product in the collection. “The piece was crafted with an incredible amount of detail,” he said, “with every step of our consumer’s golf outing considered.” Some of the standout design elements of the bag include a side pocket with magnetic closure for your rangefinder, an insulated cooler pocket, and a discrete built-in USB-C power bank on the back pocket. It’s sturdy, handsome, and literally electric, making it a perfect companion for the corporate outing or the club tournament.

Tumi Golf Stand Bag

We’ve covered the cart bag and the Sunday bag, but the most popular type of golf bag is the stand bag. Tumi’s signature engineering is on full display in its Tumi Golf Stand Bag , whether you're a beginner or a professional who wants to carry 18 and feel both comfortable and elevated. Every detail is thought out here, from the incredibly comfortable backpack straps, multiple strong pockets, an articulating foot for upright or angled standing, and even embroidery for your initials to stand out even further. When you’re up for a little more fun, there’s a cooler pocket that can fit more than a few cans of your swing juice of choice, and an embedded USB-C charger for your phone, speaker, or rangefinder.

“Each item in the Golf collection is inspired by the passion of the sport and delivers our brand’s signature durability, high-performance materials, and innovative design,” Sanz mentioned, “while maintaining all the performance luxury aspects that Tumi is known for.” This bag itself may be the epitome of that, for all golfers who want that panache in their game.

Tumi Golf Duffel

It’s often confusing to people when you explain you have your golf bag, and then golf bags. But the Tumi Golf Duffel is one of the best ways to explain this nuance: this bag is for your shoes, your clothes, and your dopp kit that helps you get to the club each morning and enjoy that bag of clubs you haul around the course. It can be worn as a backpack or carried by the handle, and it even includes a trolley sleeve to make it a surprisingly versatile carry-on for your trip to warmer climates to play. This one is a must-have for the sophisticated and efficiently packed golfer.

Tumi Golf Shoe Bag

If it’s anything but a perfect 72 degrees Fahrenheit and sunshine outside, a great pair of golf shoes is going to be the most important piece of gear you have. They will get wet whether it’s a full-on downpour or just a dewy spring morning, or even if you just walk through a post-sprinkler hole. So having a shoe bag to separate out your spikes when they’re recovering from the damp turf if important for the traveling golfer, and Tumi’s Golf Shoe Bag has that, with a water-resistant and vented interior to make sure they can dry to or from the course. Add in a convenient carry strap, and enough size for even my size 14 shoes, this accessory shows you care about your game and your trusty footwear.

Tumi Golf Hardside 2 Wheeled Travel Case

When you decide to take your game to the next level, that means traveling to new courses and climates that challenge your abilities and expand your understanding of what golf can be. To do so, you can’t rent a stock set at the course; you have to bring your own. This hard-shell case not only protects your clubs (in fact, they have their own compartment separate from your bag inside, for an even more secure trip), it makes carting them through the airport and across the resort incredibly easy with two wheels and secure handles. It’s sturdy, impeccably designed, and luxe inside. Showing up with this lets everyone know you are serious and enthusiastic about playing.

Tumi Essential Large East West Tote

Golf is more than a sport, it’s a lifestyle. Tumi understands this and offers a stylish carryall that compliments their more golf-focused bag in the signature black or off-white and gold, to use away from the course as well. With a water bottle compartment, trolley strap, and zippered pocket, it’s incredibly versatile (and even comes in a slightly smaller Medium version ). Sanz told me “I also love our everyday bags in this collection, such as the Essential East West Tote, designed for our consumers to go effortlessly from the office to the course, so they serve as the perfect complement to daily life.”

Tumi Essential North/South Tote

Like the East West Tote, the Tumi North/South Tote is luxury. “It’s these lifestyle items and accessories that really elevate the collection and connect with our customers,” Sanz added. Taller and narrower than it’s East/West sibling, this tote also attaches to your rolling suitcase so you can comfortably bring it with you on those international golf trips you’ve planned. Weatherproof and embroiderable, it also connects with all Tumi+ modular accessories so it won’t let you down in any situation.

Tumi Golf Pouch with Tees

Speaking of accessories, the Tumi Golf Pouch with Tees blends the line between bag and gear in the best way. It’s a small pouch about the size of a rangefinder that easily clips onto your main bag to hold your balls, pencils, tees, and divot tool. “It really enhances your game when everything is easily accessible,” Sanz reminded me, and I agree, especially when you have a monogrammed bag to help with that. When you don’t have a caddy at the ready, this will ensure you always have what you need to tee up after that OB drive, or mark down your birdie when you clear the green.

Tumi Golf Divot Tool

Everyone needs a divot tool to respect the turf and be ready for anything on the course. A perfect gift for the elevated golfer, this multi-use Tumi Golf Divot Tool is monogrammable and looks great in the available gold or gunmetal; plus, it can be attached to your belt, bag, or cart. It has a magnetic ball marker for claiming your spot on the green, an all-leather case in black or off-white, and a bottle opener for the 19th hole too.

Tumi Golf Range Bag

Smaller, five-club golf bags are really in style at the moment, whether you call them range, Sunday, lightweight, or mini bags. The Tumi Golf Range Bag answers that call in customary style, delivering a lightweight alternative for par 3’s, quick rounds, or twilight scrambles, and it’s sturdy and innovative. It doesn’t sacrifice pocket capacity for the smaller size, with two U-style zippered compartments and a detachable club-head cover, with an interior divider for your narrowed club arsenal. And just like its bigger cousins, it’s monogrammable and sturdy enough for anything you throw at it.

Tumi Golf Cigar Case

Part of the goal with this line was to embrace the whole golf experience, not just the gear needed to play the game itself. “We truly thought of everything you might need for a successful day at the course,” said Sanz. “It’s a comprehensive collection that merges functionality with style in the way that Tumi does best.” This Tumi Golf Cigar Case is a carbon fiber cigar case for the discerning golfer, meaning you don’t have to worry about your stogies getting crushed. In fact, you should worry about what this case itself may crush, including your two-up lead heading into the back nine.

Tumi Golf Extra Large Umbrella

Believe me, a former caddy, that you need an actual golf umbrella if you plan to play a round in any kind of mixed-weather climate. Even better if it’s extra large, so it can cover yourself and your bag behind you, and be propped up with ease as you swing. The Tumi Golf Extra Large Umbrella is a really sturdy umbrella considering the size, so it will hold up to the wind (which can make or break your round) much as the rain. It’s a perfect compliment to your new bag with its red accents under the signature Tumi black exterior and reflective logo for when it gets a little dark out there.

Tumi Three-Pack Golf Club Cover Set

And finally, Tumi has a set of three meticulously designed head covers for your woods that complete the whole look. They’re very plush inside to protect your new driver that got you the extra 30 yards but also extremely durable on the outside, made of Tumi’s signature FXT Ballistic Nylon. You can monogram them as well, and having tested them out, I can say they are of the most protective covers I’ve ever used. But despite their heft, they are so easy to get on-and-off the clubs. It will make you want to try to take your 3 wood off the deck on that par 5 that has always had a green slightly out of reach for your second shot.

Check Out This Influencer's Travel Hacks Which May Sound Simple But Come in Handy

Traveling isn't just about heading to popular destinations, as the younger generation is exploring new experiences driven by a growing awareness of the world around them. In the age of social media, travel hacks have become a staple of online content, with creators on platforms like TikTok sharing their insights and tips with eager audiences. One such creator, Gracie ( @graciestravels ), has garnered a following of 85,000 with her videos, claiming to showcase the "best" travel hacks, which help wanderers navigate uncharted territory without straying beyond their budget.

Gracie's first hack involves circumventing liquid restrictions on flights by freezing water bottles before heading to the airport. While this may be a novel idea for some, travelers within Australia might find it unnecessary due to the lack of liquid restrictions on domestic flights.

However, for international travelers, it presents a practical solution to the 100ml liquid limit. Yet, it's worth noting that consuming excess water before security checks or refilling the bottle after those might not be feasible for everyone, especially given the concerns about hygiene when it comes to airplane bathrooms.

Her second hack suggests taping a hair at the bottom of the door frame to monitor unauthorized entry . While this method seems logical in theory, its effectiveness is questionable in practice. It overlooks scenarios involving room service or housekeeping, where legitimate entries are common, undermining the reliability of this method.

She goes on to offer advice on securing a desirable seat in economy class by being the last to board. "Now that you’re the last person on the plane you’ll get to see all the empty seats so you can opt to choose whatever is available and hopefully you’ll get a row all to yourself," she says.

While this tactic may yield success on flights with unassigned seating or during off-peak hours, it's unlikely to be effective on fully booked flights or during popular travel times. In addition to that, airlines increasingly assign seats in advance, ruling out the possibility for a last-minute seat selection.

Gracie suggests that maintaining loyalty to a single hotel chain, can help travelers accumulate points and unlock perks such as upgrades. " Loyalty programs from hotel chains and airlines offer valuable benefits such as discounted rates and room upgrades," she says.

She further emphasizes the significance of carrying a universal power adapter, drawing from her own experiences in foreign lands. Although seasoned travelers may find this advice obvious, it can make a lot of difference for new globetrotters who may be unfamiliar with the differing electrical standards across countries.

The abundance of travel hacks on platforms like TikTok underscores the enduring appeal of wanderlust and the inventive methods travelers employ to enrich their adventures. However, the question arises. Are Gracie's travel hacks genuinely groundbreaking, or do they resemble age-old advice?

Ultimately, the answer depends on individual perspective. While some may find her tips insightful, others might see them as just clever reiterations of familiar strategies.

For more such travel-related content, you can follow Gracie ( @gracietravels ) on TikTok.

You won't need winter wear until November - why haul it in your backpack across the country for 2.5 months? Dress appropriately for the fall weather, then buy winter clothes in Russia as you start getting cold.

shoe case travel

From the look of what you're already have, you're good to go for at least -20C. Maybe thermal socks and a better hat, but those that you have are a good start. I usually only wear thermal long johns under normal blue jeans until at least -25C, and find it perfectly okay. North Face goretex jackets are good for about the same temperatures over a simple flannel shirt or a thin sweatshirt even without the soft shell etc. You basically only need these advanced thermals if you plan to camp in the wilderness.

> most of the responses mentioned that clothes/winter wear is expensive in Russia

It isn't if you buy clothes where most regular Russians do.

> I went to Bosco and Kalashnikov

You've got to be kidding me. 80% Russians have no idea of what Bosco is and 99% including yours humbly believe that Kalashnikov is a rifle. You can't get an idea of Russian prices by going to luxury brands stores. Do you buy your backpacks at a Louis Vuitton boutique?

shoe case travel

While I don't have a good idea as to where most regular Russians do, I would hazard a guess that just like we hardy folks in OUR great frozen northland of Minnesota, there are plenty of places since folks there LIVE in this climate. Now, if I moved to LA, and needed this, I would indeed NOT expect to be able to pick up anything cheap in LA!

Note that likely for sure you will want to get nice, new warm Russian headwear while over there...

80% Russians have no idea of what Bosco is

And the outstanding 20% will never have any such wild idea to come even close to this dudes' place

By the way, glocaltravels - you did pack your Russian visa ?

I don't think that the climate in Russia is more stronger than in Canada for example. If you have been in Canada or in Northern Europe you can imagine what you need to wear. There's no something special. Also it's important to know how the cold weather affect your health... For example many russians don't use winter shoes during -25.

It is not a good idea to buy clothes in Russia. The balance between a price and a quality is not clear. It's very difficult to buy something really qualitative for a good price. If you can travel with a heavy baggage I'd advise you to buy clothes in your country.

Very interesting thread about clothing. As for my experience - the quality of clothes in Russia is very diverse. You never know how much time the particular stuff will serve you. Also the return and exchange in case of a bad quality is an issue here (long terms, alot of paperwork, etc.)

@glocaltravels

So in case you want to use your clothes MUCH more times, than during your travel in Russia AND you prefer long lasting brand names - you certainly have to buy the most things in USA (the typical markups here, in Russia, for the same stuff are about 30-40% for the most worldwide brand names if compared with USA prices).

BUT, if you prefer to put a "broken? through away!" principle in your life - you will definitely to buy stuff here. Also, please, note, that there are hard to find real (non-fake) brand names in case you go into the depths of Russia - the assortment slowly moves towards Chinese gear (NOTE: not Made in China brand names, but Made in China nonames).
