Donald Trump Received $5.75 Million In Royalties For A Book That Largely Features Photos In The Public Domain

D onald Trump received $5.75 million in royalties over the past 18 months for “Our Journey Together,” a coffee-table book of photos from his presidency. The former president used a private family company to publish a work of mostly taxpayer-subsidized material, then boosted sales with donor funds.

In a financial disclosure filed last week, Trump reported $5.75 million in royalties in connection with a publishing agreement for “A MAGA Journey.”

That title was the initial name for “Our Journey Together,” which showcases photos by Trump’s official White House photographer and were already in the public domain and available for anyone to use. The former president added his own captions.

A spokesperson for his publisher, a company cofounded by Donald Trump Jr. and a former campaign staffer named Sergio Gor, said “Our Journey Together” sold more than 500,000 copies. The representative refused to provide documentation to back up that figure, which Forbes was unable to independently verify. NPD BookScan, an industry data service, tracked 10,200 sales at retailers through January 2023. NPD BookScan doesn’t track purchases directly from a book’s website , though, which appears to have been a major sales avenue for “Our Journey Together.” The book originally sold for $75, with signed copies going for $230.

Trump’s political operation did its part to boost sales. In 2022, the former president’s joint fundraising committee and political action committee paid Winning Team Publishing , which released the book, $231,000. Spokespeople for the committees did not respond to recent inquiries. In December 2022, though, a spokesperson confirmed that at least $48,000 of the joint-fundraising committee’s disbursements were for “Our Journey Together.” That committee is still offering copies in exchange for donations of $75 or more.

“Our Journey Together’s” $5.75 million payout dwarfed the other royalty payments Trump reported receiving over the past 18 months. “The Art of the Deal,” published in 1987, brought in somewhere between $100,000 and $1 million, according to the filing, which lists the income of Trump’s older books in broad ranges. Four other books each earned him $5,000 to $15,000, one made $2,500 to $5,000 and 10 earned less than $200.

Trump’s disclosure identifies the payments for “Our Journey Together” as coming from a company named Gold Standard Publishing LLC. “The payments were made from Winning Team Publishing,” said a spokesperson for Winning Team. “We have alerted those who filed the paperwork.”

Trump also disclosed that Winning Team Publishing paid his wife, Melania, $250,000 in licensing fees. The spokesperson said that payment was for promoting “Our Journey Together.”

This April, Winning Team Publishing released a follow-up, “Letters to Trump,” charging $100, with autographed copies priced at $400. The 320-page book features correspondence to Trump from the past 40 years, along with his commentary. Unwitting contributors include Kim Jong Un, Alec Baldwin and Hillary Clinton.

The Donald Trump book boom continues, with many of this fall’s tomes documenting the former president’s refusal to concede the last election. But now Trump himself has entered the fray, announcing his first post-presidential book.

The developer-turned-reality host-turned-45th leader of the free world trumpeted the arrival of “Our Journey Together,” a collection of photos, in a statement issued Friday.

“Today I am thrilled to announce I will be publishing a wonderful book in time for Christmas!” Trump said in the statement. “Our Journey Together is a collection of beautiful photos captured during our very successful time in the White House. From center stage to behind-the-scenes — this is a must-have for all Patriots.”

The former president promised “unforgettable” moments, including “building the Southern Border Wall; cutting America’s taxes; confirming almost 300 federal judges and 3 Supreme Court justices; rebuilding our military; creating Space Force ; dealing with Kim Jong-Un, President Xi, President Putin , and many other world leaders; and battling liberals on two Impeachment Witch Hunts, just to name a few.”

A photo book is a departure from recent post-presidential literary efforts. President Obama’s first book after leaving office in 2017 was the 2020 memoir “ A Promised Land .” In 2010, President Bush published his memoir “Decision Points.” President Clinton, who left the White House in 2001, published the autobiography “My Life” in 2004.

They were all lengthy and substantive, though the two Democrats (Clinton, 786 pages; Obama, 1,008 pages) decisively outweighed Bush (486 pages). The page count on “Our Journey Together” was not available, but Trump promised that “[e]very photograph has been handpicked by me and every caption is mine, some in my own handwriting.”

The Washington Examiner , the first outlet to report on the book, reproduced a few of its photos and captions, which signify a departure in tone as well as substance from predecessors’ books.

“Attempting to listen to Crazy Nancy Pelosi in the Oval Office — such natural disagreement,” runs the line beneath a photo of the House Speaker, Vice President Mike Pence and Trump. Another, referring to the killing of Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, claims, “We destroyed ISIS under my watch. Now terrorists are back in the Middle East.”

Neither of these captions appear to be handwritten.

Trump’s book retails for $79.95, or $229.95 for an autographed copy. It’s available for pre-order at 45books.com and will start shipping in mid-December.

Trump’s First Post-Presidency Book Will, Fittingly, Require Little Reading and Cost Way Too Much

By Peter Wade

Nearly two hundred and thirty American dollars. That’s how much former President Trump is charging for a signed copy of his forthcoming picture book, which he is touting as “a must-have for all Patriots.”

Leave it to Trump to try to swindle his supporters out of money, and just in time for the holidays. Our Journey Together , Trump’s first book since he was president, will be published on Dec. 7 by Winning Team Publishing, a company started by Donald Trump Jr. and Sergio Gor. News of the book’s publication was first reported by The Washington Examiner . The book is a coffee table-style publication that will contain more than 300 images, some of which will include captions in Trump’s distinctive all-caps handwriting. To buy the book, Trump is charging $74.99 or, for a signed copy, $229.99.

Although Trump bragged that he had received offers from traditional publishers, telling Politico in June that “two of the biggest and most prestigious publishing houses have made very substantial offers which I have rejected.” The outlet reported that the largest publishing houses were reluctant to do business with the former president because they feared he would spread lies in his books.

In a statement announcing the book, Trump said that he wrote all of the (very short) captions. One example obtained by the Examiner accompanied an image of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi talking with Trump and then-Vice President Mike Pence in the Oval Office. “Attempting to listen to Crazy Nancy Pelosi in the Oval Office — such natural disagreement,” Trump wrote.

In true Trumpian style, the marketing for the book is overblown and hilarious. “This photo book captures the greatness of the last four years unlike anything else that has been published,” the book’s website promises . The site even features quotes from Trump’s children. “These photos provide an intimate glimpse into some of the most pivotal moments of his historic presidency,” Ivanka Trump said in a gushing testimonial.

This past June, Trump hinted he had a book in the works. “I’m writing like crazy anyway, however, and when the time comes, you’ll see the book of all books,” Trump said in a statement after news broke that Pence landed a seven-figure book deal with Simon & Schuster, something that The New York Times’ Maggie Haberman reported had been “grating on” Trump. Nearly six months later, all that “writing like crazy” has produced … a picture book.

Former President Trump is releasing his first official book since leaving office next month – a photo book filled with images and captions hand-picked and handwritten by the former president.

Trump is set to release "Our Journey Together," a coffee table compilation of images that capture key moments in his administration, on December 7. The book is currently available for pre-order.

"Today I am thrilled to announce I will be publishing a wonderful book in time for Christmas!" Trump said in a statement. "'Our Journey Together' is a collection of beautiful photos captured during our very successful time in the White House."

"From center stage to behind-the-scenes—this is a must-have for all Patriots. Every photograph has been handpicked by me and every caption is mine, some in my own handwriting," Trump said.

"'Our Journey Together' features unforgettable moments from our time in Washington: building the Southern Border Wall; cutting America’s taxes; confirming almost 300 federal judges and 3 Supreme Court justices; rebuilding our military; creating Space Force; dealing with Kim Jong-Un, President Xi, President Putin, and many other world leaders; and battling liberals on two Impeachment Witch Hunts, just to name a few."

He added: "These proud accomplishments stand in stark contrast to the destruction of our Country taking place right now."

Trump called the book a "fantastic keepsake" which "chronicles the greatness of the last four years with powerful images unlike anything else that has been published. It would make a fantastic Christmas present."

"'Our Journey' would not have been possible without Patriots all across America, where this book has proudly been printed!" Trump said. "The MAGA message is being heard—bigger and better than ever before. Remember, our journey isn’t over—the best is yet to come!"

TRUMP WILL 'PROBABLY' ANNOUNCE 2024 PLANS AFTER MIDTERMS: 'A LOT OF PEOPLE WILL BE VERY HAPPY'

The administration, which is described as an "incredible journey," is documented with more than 300 photographs.

According to 45books.com, a standard copy of Trump’s book goes for $74.99, while a signed copy of the book goes for $229.99.

Trump's book comes amid speculation of whether the 45th president will launch a 2024 White House reelection bid.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News earlier this month, Trump said he will "probably" wait until after the 2022 midterm elections to formally announce whether he will run for president in 2024.

"I am certainly thinking about it and we’ll see," Trump said. "I think a lot of people will be very happy, frankly, with the decision, and probably will announce that after the midterms.

The former president said that timeline was "probably appropriate."

"It doesn’t mean I will," Trump said of whether he will stick to that timeline. "It’s probably appropriate, but a lot of people are waiting for that decision to be made."

TRUMP ON WHETHER HE WILL RUN FOR PRESIDENT IN 2024: 'I DON'T THINK WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A CHOICE'

The former president said that "a lot of great people who are thinking about running are waiting for that decision, because they’re not going to run if I run."

"We have a lot, they’re all very well named," he said of the GOP White House hopefuls. "But almost all of them said if I run, they’ll never run."

He added: "And that’s nice, primarily because it shows a great degree of loyalty and respect."

As for a potential running mate, Trump said there are "a lot of great people in the Republican Party."

"There are so many people that are really good that would be great for that," Trump told Fox News. "So, you know, it’s very early to be talking about it."

In September, Trump was also asked about his 2024 plans.

"I don't think we're going to have a choice," Trump told Fox News in a September exclusive interview. "It is getting to a point where we really have no choice."

Donald Trump’s photo memoir is revisionist history and old grudges

our journey together commercial

Last June, in a moment of unintentional honesty, Donald Trump said, “I’m writing like crazy.”

Yesterday, I received my official copy of the former president’s recently published picture-book memoir, “Our Journey Together” ($74.99, plus shipping). The publisher gushes that “every photograph has been handpicked by the President.” But only 20 of the images include captions written with the famous Sharpie; most are just typed out in a fontastic italic meant to convey Trump’s bold persona.

Images are the perfect lexicon for Trump to articulate a fantastical revision of his four chaotic years in office. Freed from the complexities of language or the context of history, the former president spins a dreamscape of adulation and triumph. A shot of his inauguration crowd spread out across the Mall doesn’t have to contend with his administration’s first official alternative fact .

It’s remarkable how effectively this presentation captures Trump’s wandering mind and self-sabotaging bitterness. Early in the book, there’s a two-page spread showing men repairing a grandfather clock: “After eight years of President Obama,” Trump writes, “we needed to make the White House GREAT again.” No moment, no matter how celebratory, can calm this author’s need to lash out at his perceived enemies. Another spread shows Trump talking from a podium about his historic tax cut with “some conservative patriots and some weak RINOs.” Even death can’t quell the man’s bile: A photo in the Oval Office of Trump speaking to John and Cindy McCain says, “John McCain visited me in the White House, asking for a job for his wife. I am smiling, but I didn’t like him even a little bit.” Below a photo of an intimate dinner party that includes Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and Mark Zuckerberg, Trump writes, “Mark Zuckerberg would come to the White House and kiss my ass.” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), shown negotiating in a conference room, is “f---ing CRAZY – hence the name Crazy Nancy!” (That is one of the few captions written in Sharpie, and it hovers over an image of the presidential seal.)

In short, this is a memoir spun from the thin gruel of musty propaganda and cherished grudges. Turning these pages is like watching an old man dust his Hummel figurines and whine about the neighbors.

Books, speeches, hats for sale: Post-presidency, the Trumps try to make money the pre-presidency way

The book is published by Winning Team Publishing, which describes itself as “the nation’s premier conservative publishing house.” It was launched last year by Donald Trump Jr. and former Trump campaign aide Sergio Gor. “Our Journey Together” was supposed to be ready for Christmas. But Winning Team’s printer ran into supply problems. Trump told Fox News: “They have no paper, they have no glue, they have no leather.” Make that pleather , but that’s no matter. The man who once hawked vodka, real estate classes, spring water and steaks is on a roll.

‘He never stopped ripping things up’: Inside Trump’s relentless document destruction habits

Appropriately, his nominations of Supreme Court justices are highlighted, but for some reason, the book includes four pages of Japanese sumo wrestlers, a nod to Trump bankrolling the United States President’s Cup, awarded to “the number one sumo wrestler in the world.” The omissions elsewhere are breathtaking. Trump says little about his two impeachments, except for a photo of him holding up a copy of The Washington Post with the headline “Trump acquitted.” The deaths of 400,000 Americans from covid during his administration goes unmentioned, aside from noting that he enjoyed “a quick recovery” after he caught the virus. The assault on the Capitol that he inspired and his multiple attempts to subvert the election of Joe Biden are elided altogether.

Presidential scholars of the future will also be perplexed by the ordering of these photos. Weirdly, the first White House official to be featured in the book is Ronny L. Jackson, the physician who was accused of creating a hostile work environment, drinking on the job and passing out drugs like candy. Soon after comes a photo of Fox News opinion host and Trump cheerleader Sean Hannity , whose relevance to the administration needs no explanation. On page 61, there’s a happy picture of Trump walking with Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman , who, according to the CIA , approved the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The chilling logic of these selections is surely more revealing than Trump realizes.

Some of the captions are merely recycled campaign talking points. As for insights drawn from his time in office, while touring the Churchill War Rooms in London, Trump observes that Churchill was “a real HERO.” He reveals that “Israel’s capital, Jerusalem” is “a very holy place.”

What’s most striking, though, is the book’s sterility, its determined lack of intimacy. Although many photos feature his family, the majority of pictures appear to have been drawn from official ceremonies, public appearances and work duties. Only a handful of photos across more than 300 pages show Trump without a tie. He notes a celebration of his birthday by showing a full-page photo of the official dinner menu. Trump closes the book with three double-spreads in a row of large crowds of fans. The last photo is a close-up of Trump alone, looking solemnly to the side. Then there’s a Sharpie note: “America, our journey continues. Together we will take our country back. We will WIN!”

How Trump’s political style smothered the last substance left in the GOP

The publisher claims to have already sold more than 200,000 copies — not many compared to memoirs by the Obamas , but still lucrative, considering the book required little more than rifling through publicity photos and burping up MAGA catchphrases. Fittingly, “Our Journey Together” is dedicated to “the Deplorables” because, Trump writes, “You got me here!” But one closes this political brochure wondering exactly where here is.

Trump Photo Book ‘Our Journey Together' Coming Next Month

New york publishers have resisted working with trump — especially after the jan. 6 siege of the u.s. capitol by some of his supporters, by hillel italie • published november 19, 2021 • updated on november 19, 2021 at 6:19 pm.

Donald Trump's first post-White House book will be, like so much else about him, a departure from other former presidents.

Trump is publishing a hardcover collection of hundreds of photographs from his administration, featuring his own captions, some handwritten. “Our Journey Together” is scheduled for Dec. 7, but not through a traditional New York publisher. It will instead be released by a new company formed by son Donald Trump Jr. and campaign aide Sergio Gor, Winning Team Publishing.

“'Our Journey Together' features unforgettable moments from our time in Washington: building the Southern Border Wall; cutting America’s taxes; confirming almost 300 federal judges and 3 Supreme Court justices; rebuilding our military; creating Space Force; dealing with Kim Jong-Un, President Xi, President Putin, and many other world leaders,” the former president said in a statement Friday.

While Barack Obama, George W. Bush and other recent predecessors of Trump wrote memoirs and announced multi-million dollar deals with Penguin Random House and other publishing houses soon after leaving office, New York publishers have resisted working with Trump — especially after the Jan. 6 siege of the U.S. Capitol by some of his supporters. Simon & Schuster dropped a book by one Trump backer, Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri, and faced widespread anger within the company for reaching a deal for a memoir by Trump's vice president, Mike Pence.

Trump has referred at times to publishing a memoir, “the book of all books,” but has otherwise granted interviews to Michael Wolff, Jonathan Karl of ABC News and others writing about him. Should he release a memoir through Winning Team, it would be a test for how a new publisher could manage sales and distribution for a book which could well sell millions of copies.

The web site (https://45books.com) for Winning Team Publishing offers few details — no masthead or listings for books besides Trump's. ("Official Merch" is “coming soon”). Gor declined to discuss Winning Team's plans, but says that additional authors have been signed. Winning Team Publishing continues a wave of conservative imprints, among them the Daily Wire's DW Books and All Seasons Press, formed this year by those who allege they are being “silenced” by mainstream publishers.

Trump's statement included a link to the company site, where the book can be preordered for $74.99 in standard format (new photo books have been known to sell for anywhere from $40 to more than $150) and $229.99 for a signed copy. “Our Journey Together” is also listed on Amazon.com, whose founder Jeff Bezos Trump has often attacked, though as of midday Friday it was not available for purchase. According to Amazon, the book is 320 pages, with a suggested reading audience of 12 years and up.

Letters to Trump Is a Coffee-Table Book Out for Revenge

Portrait of Margaret Hartmann

Donald Trump ’s first post-presidential book, Our Journey Together , contains a shocking amount of catty commentary for what was billed as a collection of White House photos. The Trump-penned captions include shots at many of his political enemies, from Barack Obama to the late John McCain. For some reason, Winning Team Publishing, a venture co-founded by Donald Trump Jr., did not emphasize this in the book’s marketing, though it probably should have. While the Trumps have repeatedly boasted that the book sold out its initial print run of 200,000 copies in a matter of weeks, that’s actually way less than typical presidential memoirs sell in their first day.

But the folks at Winning Team might have finally learned their lesson. They’re explicitly promoting the new coffee-table book Letters to Trump , which is set to be released on April 25, as a chance to see Trump humiliate his famous enemies. In a recent interview with Breitbart, the former president said the collection of letters he’s received over the years shows how differently fellow stars treated him prior to his 2016 campaign.

“I think they’re going to see a very fascinating life. I knew them all — and every one of them kissed my ass, and now I only have half of them kissing my ass,” Trump joked to Breitbart when asked what readers can expect.

Don Jr. hit the exact same points.

“My father has lived an amazing life and has been around some of the most interesting people in the world,” Trump Jr. said. “It’s amazing how quickly their adoration of him changed when he ran for office as a Republican.  Letters to Trump  shows you exactly how they felt about him and how phony their newfound disdain truly is.”

That’s a smart pitch, since this is a book aimed at MAGA types eager to see their favorite president expose the hypocrisy of liberal elites. But in reality, the “gotcha” doesn’t really make sense. Take the letter from Oprah Winfrey, which Winning Team put out along with the book announcement. It’s a note Oprah sent in 2000 earnestly thanking Trump for flattering comments he made about her in his book The America We Deserve .

Does this really prove Oprah is “two-faced,” as Newsmax’s Rob Carson put it? I don’t think sending a nice note to a colleague in the entertainment business means you have to stick by them when they suggest all Mexicans are rapists 15 years later, lest you be branded a hypocrite.

And Oprah has already deftly shrugged off Trump’s big reveal. In an interview with CBS Mornings , Winfrey and her best friend Gayle King agreed the letter just shows she has good manners.

“When I heard that this letter is now going to be a part of a book, I thought, Oh, wasn’t that nice of me to write a note … Because I’m always like, Oh, I should write a note. The person did this, or I should write a note ,” she said .

Is it possible that Letters to Trump includes truly shocking evidence of “ass-kissing” by Princess Diana, Michael Jackson, Richard Nixon, or one of the many other celebrities featured in the book? It’s possible, but I think if Trump had anything really good, we’re already know about it. This is the man who waved a letter from Obama in front of news cameras and shared a “top secret” letter from Kim Jong-un with journalist Bob Woodward. When it comes to showing off juicy celebrity correspondence, Trump has no self-control.

About The Author

Donald John Trump was born in Queens, New York, on June 14, 1946. His father, Fred Trump, was a highly successful real estate developer. The elder Trump was of German heritage, and his wife, Mary McLeod, of Scottish background. Their son Donald was the second youngest of five children. He was educated at the New York Military Academy and the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania. Even before he graduated he was drawn to real estate and construction, and as a young man he took over his father’s firm, renaming it the Trump Organization.

The Trump Organization soon became involved in a myriad of projects, including hotels, resorts, residential and commercial buildings, casinos, and golf courses, both in the United States and abroad. His first of many books was The Art of the Deal, published in 1987. In 2004 he launched the Apprentice (later The Celebrity Apprentice), a popular television series that aired until 2015. During the 2016 primary season Trump defeated more than a dozen seasoned rivals to win the Republican nomination and went on to win the election over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. His campaign slogan was “Make America Great Again,” and he moved swiftly to reinvigorate “Buy American and Hire American” policies. He signed a major tax reform bill into law and directed the reduction of federal regulations intended to secure a long-running economic expansion and a historically low unemployment rate. His trade policies encouraged tariffs on foreign aluminum and steel and a series of renegotiations of trade agreements with Mexico, Canada, China, Japan, and South Korea.

Other priorities included Supreme Court and federal judiciary appointments, tackling the opioid crisis, seeking to reduce the cost of prescription drugs, and improving health care for veterans. Trump’s commitment to “America first” abroad shaped not only his trade and tariff policies but his approach to immigration and overseas commitments. At his urging, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) member states increased their contributions to the alliance. Trump recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, and moved the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, recognizing the ancient city as Israel’s capital.

His approach to the problem of nuclear proliferation included applying maximum economic pressure on both North Korea and Iran. Trump increased the budget for the U.S. military, and during his administration the self-proclaimed Islamic State (ISIS), which had taken territory in Iraq and Syria and was responsible for inciting terrorist attacks, was defeated.

President Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, have one son, Barron. President Trump also has four adult children from previous marriages: Donald Jr., Ivanka, Eric, and Tiffany, as well as nine grandchildren.

Trump Shares Video Featuring Image of a Hog-Tied Biden

The social media post reflects the increasingly violent and personal attacks that Donald J. Trump has employed during the presidential campaign.

Donald Trump stands outside in front of a line of police officers. A man to his left holds an umbrella over his head.

By Chris Cameron

Former President Donald J. Trump posted a video on Friday to his social media website that features an image of President Biden with his hands and feet tied together.

Mr. Trump posted the video to Truth Social early Friday afternoon with a line that said it was filmed on Long Island on Thursday, when Mr. Trump attended the wake of a slain New York City police officer in Massapequa Park, N.Y. The video shows two moving trucks decorated with flags and decals supporting Mr. Trump. The tailgate of the second vehicle features the image of Mr. Biden.

Macabre imagery targeting Mr. Trump’s perceived enemies frequently circulates online among right-wing provocateurs and pro-Trump groups, and in some cases has been featured at conservative conferences . Photos of trucks featuring similar images of Mr. Biden tied up have been shared across social media, and online vendors sell vehicle stickers with the image.

Mr. Trump’s promotion of the video featuring the image reflects the increasingly caustic and personal attacks that he has directed against Mr. Biden — for example, in a speech this month he said that “everything Joe Biden touches turns to” filth, though he used an expletive — and it extends a record in which the former president features violent imagery on his social media accounts.

“Trump is regularly inciting political violence, and it’s time people take him seriously — just ask the Capitol Police officers who were attacked protecting our democracy on Jan. 6,” said Michael Tyler, a spokesman for the Biden campaign, referring to a pro-Trump mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Steven Cheung, a spokesman for the Trump campaign, said “that picture was on the back of a pickup truck that was traveling down the highway,” adding that “Democrats and crazed lunatics have not only called for despicable violence against President Trump and his family, they are actually weaponizing the justice system against him.”

The video was still on Mr. Trump’s Truth Social page as of late Friday evening.

The Trump campaign has repeatedly cited Democratic statements from years past to defend Mr. Trump’s rhetoric. Mr. Cheung on Friday pointed to a statement by Mr. Biden in 2018 in which he said, referring to Mr. Trump, “If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.” Mr. Biden was responding to comments that Mr. Trump had made about women on a tape linked to the show “Access Hollywood.”

Mr. Trump has previously posted doctored photos and videos depicting him physically attacking political opponents, focusing particularly on Mr. Biden in the last year. The former president has, for example, repeatedly shared videos depicting him hitting Mr. Biden with golf balls . Mr. Trump also posted a photo last year of him holding a baseball bat next to Alvin L. Bragg , the Manhattan district attorney, who is prosecuting Mr. Trump in connection to a hush money payment made to a porn star during the 2016 campaign.

Mr. Trump has also used increasingly authoritarian language on the campaign trail, repeatedly saying that migrants are “poisoning the blood of our country” and describing his political opponents in a Veterans Day speech last year as “vermin” who needed to be “rooted out.”

This month, Mr. Trump said that some migrants were “not people” and, amid a discussion of the auto industry, that the country would face a “blood bath” if he lost the election. A few days later, he attacked Jewish Democrats in a radio interview, saying that Jews who vote for Democrats hate their religion and Israel .

On Saturday, Mr. Trump posted to Truth Social a new attack on the daughter of Justice Juan M. Merchan, who is overseeing his hush money trial in Manhattan.

The attack linked to a news article that displays two pictures of the daughter, both of which appeared in Mr. Trump’s post.

The attack came soon after an official working for Mr. Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney, argued in a letter to the court that Justice Merchan’s daughter was covered by a limited gag order that the judge issued earlier in the week. The letter urged the judge to make clear that the gag order protects family members of the judge from attacks by Mr. Trump. The judge is expected to state in the coming days whether he agrees.

Mr. Trump also posted a handful of attacks on the judge’s daughter earlier this week. His lawyers have said that because she has done work for Democrats, Mr. Trump should be able to attack her, insisting that his freedom of political speech is being curtailed.

In one post earlier this week, Mr. Trump claimed that an account on X with a photo of him behind bars belonged to the judge’s daughter. Court officials said the account was not hers.

Maggie Haberman contributed reporting.

Our Coverage of the 2024 Presidential Election

News and Analysis

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has emerged as a wild card in the 2024 election , attracting a motley mix of ideologically diverse supporters, raising piles of cash and drawing legal attacks from Democrats and verbal barrages from former President Donald Trump.

Melania Trump, who has been mostly absent from public view while her husband campaigns for president, will appear at a fund-raiser at Mar-a-Lago , marking a return of sorts to the political arena.

The centrist group No Labels has abandoned its plans to run a presidential ticket in the 2024 election, having failed to recruit a candidate. The group had suffered a string of rejections recently  as prominent Republicans and Democrats declined to run on its ticket.

Florida court rulings on abortion have all but guaranteed that voters will have the issue on their minds in November, bringing potential risks for two anti-abortion Republicans  in the state whose districts aren’t solidly red.

Trump’s falsehoods about mail voting have created a strategic disadvantage for Republicans, who must rely on Election Day turnout . The group Turning Point Action has a $100 million plan to change voters’ habits to encourage early voting.

The focus of Trump’s hotel business is shifting from big cities to his golf resorts,  after a deal to host tournaments for LIV Golf , the upstart league sponsored by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, another example of the ties between the Saudis and the Trump family.

Biden and Trump are the oldest people ever to seek the presidency , challenging norms about what the public should know about candidates’ health.

Simon Rosenberg, a Democratic strategist and consultant, has spent the past two years telling Democrats they need to calm down. His Biden-will-win prediction is his next big test .

Francesca Farago and Jesse Sullivan are growing their family!

The reality TV star, 29, and her TikToker fiancé, 33, announced on Sunday that Farago is pregnant and expecting the couple's first baby.

They shared the happy news via a joint Instagram post , with Farago writing in the caption, "We wanted to take this special day to celebrate this amazing milestone with all of you. We’ve brought you with us through the loss, so we couldn’t wait to bring you along for the win."

"I am still pretty newly pregnant, and there’s so much more to come, but we are so excited to be growing our family with Arlo as the coolest older sibling!" she continued, referring to Sullivan's 15-year-old child.

"AHH IM PREGNANT!😭💫", she added.

Sullivan commented on the post: "I finally got her pregnant! So excited to be a dad to more world changers! 👶🏻👶🏻."

Sullivan also posted a video on TikTok on Sunday, documenting the highs and lows of their journey to conceive a baby. Clips show Farago giving herself shots and undergoing various procedures as part of the IVF process.

"We're pregnant! It's been such a struggle to get here, but we felt like TDOV [International Transgender Day of Visibility] was the perfect day to let you in on our celebration," Sullivan captioned the video. "I'm so proud of @Francesca Farago for fighting her way to get here, and I fall more in love with her every day."

The couple, who has been documenting their journey with IVF on their respective TikTok accounts, chatted with PEOPLE in August about planning their "huge" wedding and expanding their family after getting engaged this past spring.

Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

“We were debating for a while about if we wanted to go big or not,” Farago told PEOPLE exclusively. “We decided we only do this once and to just go huge!”

After meeting on a Zoom call (Farago was interviewing the influencer for a TikTok pride event) there was an “instant attraction through the screen,” she said.

“We both couldn’t stop staring at each other,” she told PEOPLE. “After the Zoom I remember running around the house and telling my friends I found my new boyfriend.”

The family-oriented couple said that they want to expand their household as soon as possible — but they are waiting until after they tie the knot in May.

"We want to get pregnant right after the wedding,” Farago said, adding that what she and Sullivan are most excited about married life is “babies babies babies!”

“Growing our family, getting more animals, raising kids together and just being in love,” the  Too Hot to Handle  star added.
