Press Release Translation: Five Tips on How to Reach New Audiences in New Languages
If you want to learn about press release translation, you’ve come to the right place. Whether promoting a new product or service, announcing an organizational milestone, or sharing accomplishments, there is tremendous value in translating your company’s press releases. In addition, when you translate a press release into new languages, you have the opportunity to reach new audiences both domestically and internationally.
What is a press release?
A press release is a short news article written and sent to targeted media members and contains essential information. It answers the what, when, where, and why aspects of a story you pitch to the media. A press release aims to pique the interest of the journalist or publication one’s targeting. In a best-case scenario, the press release is picked up by the publication in its entirety. Sometimes, it can even get one an invitation to interview with a publication. The value of getting positive publicity from press pick-ups can have a positive impact on your organization’s reputation and overall brand.
Why translate a press release?
Press release translation is part of a multilingual public relations strategy. It enables you to reach essential stakeholders such as customers or investors who speak other languages. It can make your brand more relevant. It can get you more coverage both online and offline. Translating press releases helps you reach a wider audience, and this can help generate more interest in your business and ultimately increase your pool of potential customers. Below are five tips for a smooth press release translation:
1. First, Choose Who to Target
The first thing you will want to do is decide whom you want to target. Choosing whom you target comes down to your public relations goals. For example, suppose you are a travel brand selling an experience and want to attract German travelers. In that case, you will want to translate your press release into German and target German publications covering international travel.
Another example would be, suppose your goal is to sell more products locally, such as a craft brewery trying to sell more beer to Spanish-speaking Americans in a local market. In that case, you should translate your press release into Spanish and target Spanish publications in your area. In both examples above, your goals and target audience are identified.
2. Next, Use Translators Who are Industry Experts with your Press Release Translation
A press release often contains industry-specific information. Therefore, you will better connect with your audience by using translators who are experts in the specific area the release covers, such as tourism, healthcare, or software. In addition, many language translation companies will offer translation services in various subject areas and industries. As a result, they can give your press release a voice with knowledge of your industry.
3. Localize Content
A press release may seem like a straightforward publicity piece. But, because it is a piece of corporate communication, you will want to ensure that all the information contained within it is as accurate as possible. This means, in the case of targeting international publications, your content needs to be localized. The process of localizing a press release includes the following:
- Selecting appropriate images to accompany your press release
- Using unique cultural angles, such as local holidays or customs, to tie the press release to
- Adapting layout and design to display translated text properly
- Converting to local standards, such as units of currency and measurement
- Using proper local preferred formats for dates, addresses, and phone numbers
- Addressing local regulations and legal requirements
- Adapting graphics to the local market
A quality language translation company will have translators on staff that are also experts at localizing your press release. They will guide you through the entire process to ensure your press release takes advantage of every opportunity for localization. This will help increase the chances of connecting with your target publication.
4. Avoid Acronyms with Press Release Translation
Generally, it would be best if you did not use acronyms in a press release due to your target audience needing to understand it. However, it becomes even more challenging when you add the complexity of translating them into a new language. Therefore, be mindful of acronyms, and try to spell them out or avoid using them altogether. Another tip is to discuss them in advance with your translator if you must use industry-specific acronyms. Your translator can help guide you through general best practices and conventions specific to your translated content’s language(s).
5. Adapting Your Company Name
In most cases, you will not need to adapt your company name in your press release. This is because company names are rarely translated (unless the company goes by an alternate name in a different country). This extends to trademarked product names as well as website addresses. For this reason, you can provide the translator with a list of terms not to translate, which will help them identify what words should stay in English. This extra step will save you time and cost by avoiding revisions so that your press release gets published promptly.

Method to the Madness: How to Plan a Press Tour (And Execute It Perfectly)
By BLASTmedia

B2B SaaS Industry Insights
Because of the fast-paced nature of news, journalists need to absorb information quickly and efficiently—picking out the high points of a pitch or press release via email or a phone call and reporting in a flash! It isn’t every day that a respected journalist at a top-tier outlet reserves time out of his or her day to sit down with a brand to hear all of the details about a new product or service. But with some products or services, this does happen—during press tours, one of the jewels in the crown of a strategic PR plan .
During a press tour, a brand receives face-to-face meetings with the press in order to provide a hands-on look and real-time presentation on what the company has to offer to consumers. For example, check out Senior Account Executive Kiersten Moffatt below as she enters the New York Times offices as part of a press tour for one of her clients.
As PR professionals, it’s our responsibility to secure those crucial face-to-face meetings with press when our clients have important new offerings. Getting a journalist at an outlet like the New York Times , Engadget , Real Simple , or Bloomberg to invite your client to meet is not an easy task. Managing a press tour requires plenty of preparation and an eventual skilled execution from a public relations team to pull it off. Here is a quick checklist to guide you through how to plan a press tour, prepare for what will happen once you’re there, and execute it perfectly for your clients.
Planning a Press Tour
If you and your client have agreed that a press tour is an ideal way to showcase what’s next in your client’s product or services lineup, it’s time to get organized. Lay a firm foundation for the impressive coverage that’s to come by following these steps.
Determine your audience. Determine the appropriate audience(s) for your announcement. If your client’s product is an iPhone app or a tablet case, for example, don’t just assume that the only correct fit is technology outlets. The product may also be relevant to national news, women’s, men’s, outdoors, or parenting outlets, to name a few. Take your time considering all of the relevant options and what will truly benefit your client.
Give yourself two weeks. From experience, our team at BLASTmedia has determined that pitching for a press tour two weeks prior to the tour dates is ideal. A month or so prior to the date is too far in advance for coordinating with press schedules and allows too much time for schedules to adjust prior to the tour dates. It’s a hard two weeks of pitching, but allows you to pitch at the most effective time, instead of spinning your wheels too far in advance.
Pitch in tiers. It isn’t always easy to know what kind of response you’ll get, so be sure to separate your press list into tiers, starting with top-tier and highly targeted outlets and working your way down. This formula also allows you to have a clean, open schedule for your most sought after meetings. No one wants to haggle with an outlet like the Huffington Post about timing!
Pick up the phone. Begin the relationship on a more personal level and pick up the phone to pitch for a press tour. It’s often hard, if not impossible, to truly portray the coolness of some products or services over email. Phone pitching allows you to “get real” with the press and tell them why it would work for them and their audience. Plus, you are more likely to establish a connection over the phone, making it easier to portray your message and learn what would be mutually beneficial for both your client and the journalist.
Preparing for a Press Tour
You’ve already done a lot of the grunt work by setting a framework for when the press tour will be and what your goals are. Make sure to follow these tips for the rest of the preparation process.
Schedule smart. Before setting definite times with any meetings, double check the location of the meeting to ensure that you have enough time for travel. Consider how long each meeting is expected to last and use several online map estimates to determine how much travel time is needed. Schedule to your advantage wherever possible.
Supply a briefing book. Clients want and need to know about the journalists and outlets with whom they’ll be meeting. Preparing your client for a press tour isn’t just about media training. Your clients needs to feel secure and confident about each journalist that he or she is meeting. Include all relevant information about the outlet and journalist, contact information, and any details that should be easily referenced before or after a meeting.
Know where you are going. Timing and travel can get crazy during a press tour. In many cases, your team will be in and out of cabs, up and down elevators and checking in at front desks with heavy-duty security. Have each address, including cross streets, both in written form and logged onto your phone. Being able to quickly yell the location of your next meeting to the cab driver saves you time and gets you to your next big meeting in a timely fashion.
Executing a Press Tour to Perfection
You’re there! Your plane has landed, your client is ready to cover the high points of his or her product, and the journalist is ready with ears open and laptop handy to take down all the details. Here’s what to do once you’re on the ground at a press tour.
Introduce your client. Introductions may seem small, but they are key in kicking off the meeting on the right foot. After shaking hands with the journalist, immediately introduce your client so they can begin building a relationship for the remainder of the meeting. Before the first meeting, ask your client how they prefer to be introduced. Is it important that you mention their title? Is there any other professional or biographical information they would like you to mention during the introduction?
Make it relevant. When relevant, chime in to suggest various angles where the product or service would fit. Make sure your suggestions are relevant to the outlet and what the journalist covers at that publication. If the outlet has a specific section that is right up your client’s alley, reference it to show that you are both familiar with the publication and were thoughtful in scheduling the meeting.
Ask questions, take notes. When something is unclear, speak up. Feel free to ask relevant questions where applicable during the meeting and, more importantly, take diligent notes. It’s going to be your job to follow up with these contacts when you’re back in the office, so be sure to have ample information to reference.
Leave a press kit. Prepare an electronic press kit with images, a press release, and any additional information on your client and any upcoming announcements. Leave the press kit and your business card with each journalist you meet to ensure that they have what they need to promote the brand.

Public Relations
10 steps to planning an efficient and successful press tour.
When done correctly, a press tour can be a unique opportunity to leverage situations, locations and personal interactions to gain both short- and long-term gains in the form of extensive coverage and established relationships. The success of the press tour is reliant on not only the media outreach/briefings secured but the championing of logistics. Every step must be well thought out and planned as well as strategic, emphasizing efficiency and upholding professionalism.
In our 20+ years working closely with clients across B2B technology and healthcare, we’ve learned a lot—both what to do and what not to do. Based on our experience, here are 10 things to consider to ensure your next press tour is smooth and effective.
1. Define the news driver and purpose. What are you trying to achieve with the tour? Whether it is visibility for the CEO or awareness in your target market, define early the trip’s intent and expectations to both the executive and communications teams. This will ensure everyone is clear on purpose and outcomes.
2. Location, location, location. What’s the best market for your press tour? Is that location dictated by an event? Is there a conference or is your client traveling for meetings? Be opportunistic to leverage executive availability and travel from a media perspective. If given the chance to suggest a location for the press tour, once again be strategic and look at factors like company goals, news drivers and contacts.
3. Form targeted list. Align your list with the goal of your press tour and select targets with a purpose. Make sure the reporters you contact will be interested in the news driver you define and “ understand what the journalist’s goals are for the content .” With that said, do not limit yourself because opportunities can come from anywhere.
4. Get availability. As early as possible solidify an agenda, location and plans. Lock down the travel schedule, which is easier said than done, but doing so will allow you to utilize every last second. For example, the CEO at one of our clients, an emotional-intelligence software company, was looking for funding and planned a trip to San Francisco for a conference. Using the conference as our driver, we were able to book interviews with reporters to increase that CEO’s visibility and company profile ahead of funding efforts.
5. Leverage your assets. With that same client, we had a unique opportunity where both the CEO and one of the client’s customers were traveling to San Francisco together. We were able to secure a speaking opportunity for their customer at the conference to amplify our client’s success. Knowing that they would be there at the same time, we pitched joint interviews to the media – leveraging company growth and case studies to enhance the reporters experience and understanding. That’s just one example. Don’t forget about new products or offerings, recent corporate milestones, customer wins or successes, and unique partnerships, to name a few. All of these are assets that you can use to interest media in speaking with executives/spokespersons.
6. Demos are key. What can you get in person that you can’t over the phone? What can you show reporters that you can’t digitally? Firsthand interactions with products will give reporters a deeper understanding and more personal connection to the content you’re discussing.
7. Do not forget broadcast. Even if you can’t identify a news driver, breaking news can provide a platform to drive your tour. Use your client’s physical presence in the area as an opportunity for off-the-cuff broadcast stories. Make local broadcast outlets aware of your brand and their availability to comment on timely stories.
8. Utilize all possible time. Phone interviews eliminate any excuse of time or place that either party can’t make. Car rides are the perfect quite time for your client to hop on the phone with a reporter. Even the airport café can be the perfect spot to squeeze in one last in-person briefing.
9. Reconnect with old contacts. If you’re traveling to a different location, use the trip to meet up with reporters you may have only worked with digitally. Make that in-person connection and use it as an angle to introduce the reporter to current company news.
10. Prepare, Prepare and Prepare some more. Make sure the spokesperson is prepared for each and every interview with separate briefing materials. There should be a distinct angle for each reporter, to not only target the reporter’s interests but to keep the conversation fresh and engaging. Help the reporter help you, by giving them a story they can use … and, if the meeting is a relationship-building opportunity, don’t forget to ask the reporter what stories s/he is working on in the coming months and/or propose several ideas based on current topics you see trending from your POV.
After planning a strategic and logistically sound press tour using these 10 tips, you are ready to execute. Unpreparedness is readily apparent to everyone, so put your best foot forward by crossing all of your T’s and dotting all of your I’s. The executives/spokespersons will thank you, the reporter will appreciate it and the coverage (and longer-term relationships) will reflect it. Need help planning your next media tour? This is where Press Release Translation comes in, the most crucial one for international business expansion and multilingual public relations (PR) strategies.
So why does Press Release Transition matter so much? What exactly does this service entail? And what are some of the best practices to make it work?
What Is A Press Release?
A Press Release is a piece of content written specifically to communicate important new information about your business. They are an essential promotional tool that can generate targeted interest in your business. In order to attract interest from the right crowds, press releases should be published in a magazine, newspaper, or website with a high readership in your niche.
By initiating press releases, you are telling the online communities that you are an active brand working on innovations and establishing yourself as a thought-leader. That is why, if your release focuses on a specific need in the market, press releases can also do wonders for SEO and can open you up to new clients as well as collaborative opportunities.
You may have guessed by the desirable effects that a press release can have, that not just anyone can write them. A good press release strikes an ideal balance between providing information and piquing interest, which is why qualified copywriters are commonly set the task of crafting a press release. And if you want to translate your press release, equally qualified experts will need to be engaged. But more on that later!
Why Press Release Translation Is Good For Business
Press releases are designed to tell an enticing story about your business. So, if you are planning on expanding your business into new markets, should you translate these press releases or not? Short answer, yes.
Think about why you want to write your initial press release in the source language. You want to raise brand awareness and perform a form of digital networking. So, when you are expanding internationally, it only makes sense that your local public relations strategy turns into a multilingual one. When applying press release translation, you will:
- Boost brand awareness on a global level.
- Get online coverage and improve international SEO strategies.
- Reach new markets effectively.
More on these points now!
The Essential Best Practices For Effective Press Release Translation
So, now let’s get down to the interesting part. What are the best practices for translating press releases? Following these to the letter will ensure the success of your translation in foreign markets!
Who Is Your Target Locale?
It all starts with clearly identifying your target on 2 levels. Firstly, you identify the region and language that will benefit from your product. And secondly, you identify the publications where this target locale is likely to explore unique options for themselves.
If you want to identify an interesting market, you can also go about in more ways than one. Users are providing you with information all the time, and it is your responsibility to develop a strategy around the data you receive. You can discern a lot from who is visiting you, from where, how often, and which pages they are interacting with the most.
For your website, you can keep a close eye on Google Analytics and Google Console, and use the data to make a list of the most interested parties. Alternatively, you can perform market research. This can also be a second step after analyzing your website visitors, in a bid to understand their commercial behavior better.
Understanding your new market is essential when it comes to shortlisting the publications you can contact with your press release. If you are a traveling brand looking to target the German market, for example, you will translate your press release into German and identify the most popular local platforms or channels for your type of travel.
Who Is Your Ideal Press Release Translator And How Can You Help Them Excel?
Press releases are not just simple pieces of text, they are written with purpose and hold specific industry-related information. That is why, in order to achieve the best translation, the linguist will need to be an in-country native with specific experience in marketing and copywriting, so local knowledge, as well as targeted expertise, are guaranteed.
In addition to that, it will be ideal if the translation has a background writing for your industry. But, with a specific content type such as a press release, you can’t just leave the ball entirely in your translator’s court. They may know your audience and know your industry, but in order to make the best translation decisions, they will also need to know your brand and what makes it unique, and which product or service you are offering. For this reason, consider the following points:
- Select an LSP that hires qualified linguists for each language. Remember, press release translation often is a creative process. By using more than one linguist, you enable a dialogue between experts.
- Provide your LSP with the source text, reference materials, and a creative brief. These will provide context and help their translators to understand your expectations and improve the project’s success significantly. You’ll always have some specific suggestions or guidelines to ensure that the output communicates with your own brand identity. So, make sure that you always communicate them with your translation partner. Need specifics on what is included in a creative brief and which exact elements are included? Check out our blog “ What Is Transcreation And How Is It Best Managed? â€
- Do you want your press release translation to rank well? Then you may also want to consult your Language Service Provider (LSP) on international SEO strategies. When you are optimizing for International SEO, you are making your multilingual website easy to detect by Google and other Search Engines in terms of language, country, and user intent. The correct set of multilingual keywords will need to be incorporated with a keen eye on both linguistic and cultural integrity. Learn more in our blog “ How To Apply International SEO To Your Multilingual Web Content â€!
This Is What The Ideal Press Release Translation Process Looks Like!
For linguistic accuracy, your content will follow a Translation, Editing, Proofreading (TEP) Process to ensure accuracy. But of course, you are simply translating for a certain language, you are translating for a culture. And this is where localization comes in!
When localizing for a specific culture, the language will need to be adapted to the exact locale, but also other elements need to be taken into account, such as:
- Selecting effective and appropriate images and graphics, if needed.
- Leveraging unique cultural perspectives and events such as local customs and holidays, but also making sure that no offense is caused.
- Adapting the layout exactly to meet the original standards and, if need be, the translated version. This is important if you are, for example, translating into Right-To-Left languages such as Arabic. For this, Desktop Publishing Services will be included.
- Converting units, currency, measurements, dates, addresses, and so on, to local standards.
- Making sure local regulations and legal requirements are met.
- If you are launching a press release in a certain region, make sure you also have your website localized into the target language! Otherwise, your users will be motivated to visit your website, and yet have no information especially designed for them available.
- So, what about your brand name? It is possible that you intend to expand into specific markets where the name might not mean much or perhaps might even cause offense, it is best to check with local experts what your trademark will mean to your soon to be conquered market. Read our blog on “ Brand Name Validation: Is Your Brand Ready For The Global Stage ?†for more information!
Press Release Translation is a smart and effective multilingual PR strategy worth pursuing. But like with any translation and localization service, you have to do it well. Your Guide To Translating Business Press Release
Table of Contents
Looking to target a global audience when sharing your business press release? You can further expand your readership by translating your press release in all the different languages that your audience follows.
Most businesses operating on a global scale fail to engage their reach all their audience when making new announcements and sharing important details. The main reason for this is usually language barriers. While a person located within the US might be able to grasp information from a press release published in English, someone in Mexico might benefit more from a version of it in Spanish.
In this blog, we will share details on why you should consider translating your press releases and tips on choosing the right services. We will also share a comparison between AI translators’ vs. professional translators’ translations to help you choose the best method.
Things To Keep In Mind For Effective PR Translation
Ready to translate your press releases to target a global audience? Here are a few important things to keep in mind:
1. Know Who To Target
Despite English’s ubiquity, only 5% of the world’s population speaks it natively. In contrast, 12% speak Mandarin Chinese, and 6% have Spanish as their first language.
The translation goes beyond mere rephrasing of words from one language to another. It involves capturing the essence of the original text and accurately infusing it into the translated text. The first step to ensure this is by carefully evaluating your target audience.
Choosing who to target will streamline the translation process by narrowing down your translation objectives. For instance, if you are translating a press release on the launch of a new automobile for an audience of a region where the launch will be delayed, you want to use a sensitive approach that balances the tones of excitement for the launch and over the delayed launch in the specific region.
2. Seek Help From Multilingual Industry Experts
Unlike other content forms, press releases require an industry-specific and targeted approach. If you’re not familiar with the industry-specific nitty gritty, such as the tone, norms, and lingo, your translation is more likely to come off as inaccurate.
The best way to ensure this is by hiring industry experts who possess multi-lingual expertise. Using a translator who understands the industry as well as the contextual nuances in different languages can help you better connect with your target audience.
3. Localize Your Press Releases Through Translation
The difference between translation and localization is that translation converts a text from one language to another, whereas localization takes linguistic, contextual, and cultural nuances into consideration. For translation, it’s important to follow a localization process. This process can include hiring a team of translators, industry experts, and localers to ensure adherence to the local standards.
Here’s a two-step procedure to localize your press releases:
I. Ensure Clarity In The Original Text
If the language in the source copy is unclear, your translated copy is more likely to have inaccuracies. By clarity, we mean ensuring that the language used in the source copy is simple, uncomplex, coherent, and well-structured. Remember that if the language in the original copy reads unclear, too fancy, or too complex, it will become challenging for the translator to find its equivalent in the translating language.
II. Localize Brand Names With Caution
Company names are sensitive information – and translating them requires a careful, cautious approach. For instance, most brand names that do not use the Roman alphabet would not like to be Romanized as it may lose their peculiarity as a brand.
Thus, it is important to use the company name in its original form until you’re positive that the pronunciation and meaning when romanized will not sound inaccurate or offensive in the translated language.
4. Time Your Distribution
Timely distribution of press releases is just as important as their accurate translation or localization. Once you have a perfectly translated press release, request the local distributors to launch it on time. Ensuring that your translations are distributed in local time will guarantee higher views.
Remember that press releases are time-sensitive documents – a release made at the wrong time is likely to go unnoticed. Take into consideration the local time preferences of the audience and the publishers. This can be done by ensuring the translators are meeting the deadlines, and contacting local publishers to ascertain that your press release will be distributed at an appropriate time.
Hire A Professional Translator Or Use AI For PR Translation?
Deciding between a human translator and a computer translator for effective translations is like choosing the best tool for a job. Each has its good things and not-so-good things.
While AI translators offer speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, their limitations become apparent in certain scenarios. For instance, if you require depth of understanding, customization, and linguistic finesse then an AI translator cannot be your choice. Only a human translator can provide that.
You may be able to convey the basic idea of the text contained within the document. However, AI can’t bring human understanding or localize crucial information like currency or measurement units.
To guarantee an error-free translation, it may be wise to employ professional translation services from a reputable language service provider vendor.
Moreover, you also need to ensure that you hire a professional. Using an employee with some knowledge of a second language for your PR translations is risky. Mistakes in your translation can risk the effectiveness of your press release or the contents contained therein. Opting for the best press release translation services with certified translators ensures the use of top talent for your needs.
Whether you run a small or a big business, creating relevance through translation with your audience is important. Moreover, translating your press release will make you more inclusive of different cultures. It will help you bridge the gap and connect with your audience.

Paragraph Translations: Benefits, Challenges & Step-by-Step Guide
Are you looking for the best paragraph translators for your website?
Paragraph translators are automated tools that help translate written passages from one language to another while maintaining the content’s original meaning, style, and tone.
Translation tools are fast, convenient, and (sometimes) cost-effective but may lack accuracy in preserving nuances, context, and cultural subtleties, leading to potential errors or misinterpretations in the translated text.
In this article, we have listed the best translation tools out there and we have shown you how to use one of the tools to translate paragraphs on your WordPress website.
But before we dive into those let’s take a look into the benefits and challenges of paragraph translation.
Benefits of Paragraph Translations
Let’s take a look at the common advantages of translating website paragraphs:
More traffic: Translating businesses to different languages can boost visibility on the SERP of different countries, making the website discoverable to users searching in various languages. By offering information in the native languages of different target markets, websites can attract and engage with a broader audience and expand their business to new territories.
More revenue: Accessing new markets will not only boost your traffic but also lead to more sales opportunities and revenue generation. Proper translation of your website content is likely to boost trust, convert casual visitors to loyal customers, and maximize revenue collection.
Potential to become an industry leader: Translating paragraphs gives websites a competitive edge by enabling them to reach an international market where your competitors may not have a presence. Also, by attracting a diverse customer base, you are likely to outperform competitors in terms of trust, brand recognition, and revenue collection. These will help establish your website as an industry leader.
Ensure business longevity: By becoming an internationally recognized brand, you will establish a strong global presence which will protect your business against local market fluctuations. It will make the business resilient and will ensure that your business continues to thrive in the future where your competitors may get wiped out.
These are some of the broad advantages of implementing paragraph translations on a website. Next, we will look into some of the major challenges of translating paragraphs accurately on a site.
Challenges of Translating Paragraphs Accurately
Translating paragraphs accurately can be challenging due to several factors. For instance:
- To convey the intended meaning of a text accurately, you need to understand the context of the language which requires the translator to have extensive knowledge of idioms, cultural references, and nuances
- Translating technical terminology requires expertise in the subject matter to ensure precision and clarity in the target language
- Ambiguous words and phrases can pose challenges in determining the correct translation
- On top of all these, maintaining the original tone, style, and voice of the author, requires a lot of time and effort. Translations done on tight deadlines can compromise the quality and accuracy of the translation
- Lastly, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and quality across translated paragraphs is known to be difficult, especially in large translation projects involving multiple translators
By now, you know the benefits and challenges of paragraph translations. In the next section, we offer some pointers for translating accurately.
Practical Tips for Translating Paragraphs Accurately
Here are some practical tips to help achieve precise and effective paragraph translations:
- Familiarize yourself thoroughly with the subject matter, audience, and purpose of the text , or hire good translators with extensive knowledge of the language
- Be mindful of cultural differences and adapt the translation to resonate with the target audience
- Refer to reputable dictionaries, glossaries, and style guides to ensure consistency and accuracy in your translations
- Leverage translation tools to speed up the process, but always double-check the output for accuracy
- Seek feedback from native speakers or professional linguists
Now, let’s take a look at the best paragraph translating tools.
Best Paragraph Translating Tools
There are several translation services out there but the 4 most popular ones are Google Cloud Translation , DeepL Translator , Microsoft Translator , and Amazon Translate .
We have already covered these services in a separate guide so we won’t dive into a lot of details in this article. We recommend taking a look at the guide: Best Machine Translation Services , to learn more about the tools.
It’s worth noting that for WordPress websites, Google Translate and DeepL Translator are your best options. They can be easily integrated into a WordPress website using a third-party tool like TranslatePress .
In the next section, we will show you how to implement paragraph translations using Google Translate and TranslatePress.
How to Translate Paragraphs Accurately (Step-by-Step Guide)
To translate paragraphs accurately, you need to implement the following steps:
1. Install & Activate TranslatePress Plugin
TranslatePress offers a free and a premium version of the plugin. The premium version allows users to translate in multiple languages whereas with the free plugin, you can translate to only a single language.
The premium plugin also allows the translation of SEO metadata. On top of that, it offers the ability to add DeepL as a translation engine, the ability to add users in the new translator user account roles, and much more. Learn more: TranslatePress Free vs Pro .
We will show you how to translate paragraphs on your website using the free plugin .
If you decide to purchase the premium plugin, don’t worry, you can still follow the steps below to translate paragraphs on your website.
Without further ado, download, install, and activate the free TranslatePress plugin on your WordPress website.
Those of you who prefer to use the premium plugin, need to first purchase the plugin , install it on their site, and then activate the license key .
To install the plugin (free or premium), open your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New , and proceed to upload and activate the plugin.
2. Choose Automatic or Manual Translation
TranslatePress offers automatic as well as manual translations.
To implement TranslatePress automatic translation, you need to enable the translation engines and let the machine do the work for you.
But if you wish to implement manual translation, then use TranslatePress’ Translation Editor tool to change the text of your website manually.
Some of you prefer the automated method while others prefer the manual method.
Below, we cover the automated (in step 3) and manual (in step 4) methods.
You can jump straight to the preferred method, but before you do that, we recommend learning about the pros and cons of machine and human translations .
Since both the automated and manual translations have many drawbacks, we recommend implementing a hybrid approach to reap the benefits of both methods.
The hybrid method involves automating the translations and making manual modifications to the text using the Translation Editor tool on pages where the automatic translations need improvement.
3. Enable Automatic Translation
To enable TranslatePress’ automatic translation, you need to carry out the following steps:
i. Select a Second Language
The second language is the language into which your paragraphs will be translated.
To select the second language, open your WordPress dashboard, and go to Settings → TranslatePress .
On the TranslatePress dashboard, head over to the General tab, and from the All Languages section select the language of your choice.
Hit the Add button adjacent to the language and scroll down to select the Save Changes button to complete selecting your second language.
SIDE NOTE: In case you can’t find the second language of your choice, then you have the option to add your preferred second language by going to Settings → TranslatePress → Advanced → Custom Language .
ii. Enable TranslatePress Automatic Translation
Go to the Automatic Translation tab on the TranslatePress dashboard, and from the dropdown menu beside the Enable Automatic Translation option, select Yes .
Hit the Save Changes button.
iii. Add a Translation Engine
Translation engines are services that help automate translations of your websites into multiple languages.
Since translation engines (like Google Translate and DeepL) don’t directly integrate with WordPress websites, you need to rely on TranslatePress for integration.
TranslatePress offers access to two of the world’s best translation engines : Google Translate and DeepL .
To use the DeepL translation engine, you need the premium TranslatePress plugin. We will proceed with Google Translate for this tutorial because we are using the free TranslatePress plugin.
If you aren’t sure which translation engine to choose, then read this article: DeepL vs Google Translate .
To use Google Translate you need to generate an API key from your Google Cloud account. The key generation is slightly lengthy and we already have a dedicated guide on the same.
NOTE: Google Cloud accounts are free but there is a usage limit on Google Translate. You can translate 500,000 characters per month without paying a dime. If you try translating more characters, you will be charged .
DeepL users can follow this guide to generate an API key. Like Google, DeepL also offers limited free monthly usage: 500,000 characters. Beyond that, you will need to upgrade to one of their pricing plans .
Once you have the API key, open the Automatic Translation tab, select the Translation Engine of your choice, insert the API key , scroll down, and hit the Save Changes button.
iv. Review TranslatePress Settings
The TranslatePress dashboard contains three tabs: General, Automatic Translations, and Advanced .
The Advanced tab contains options to help you troubleshoot errors, debug issues, and add custom languages, among other things.
The General and Automatic Translation tabs contain the second language and translation engines. You already accessed these two in the previous steps when you had to select the second language and enable automatic translation engines.
But the tabs contain more options that you didn’t have a chance to look into. So we recommend that you open those tabs again and review the options available there.
You may want to modify some of the options. Take, for instance, the Language Switcher that started appearing on the front of your website after selecting the second language.
In the General tab, there are options to modify how the Language Switcher is displayed on your website.
The bottom line is, that you should review all three tabs (General, Automatic Translations, and Advanced) and make modifications as and when necessary.
4. Modify Translated Paragraphs Manually
Whether you want to make manual modifications to automatically translated text or simply implement manual translations on your website, TranslatePress’ Translation Editor will help you do just that.
We will show you how to use the Translation Editor.
Open a page of your WordPress website and from the admin bar located on top of the page, select the Translate Page option.
Immediately, the Translation Editor should slide in through from the left side of your screen.
You will be translating one paragraph at a time. To start the translation, hover your cursor over a paragraph on the page and you should be able to see a blue pen right next to the paragraph. Click on the blue pen , and the entire paragraph automatically appears in the editor.
If you had enabled the automatic translation engine, then the translated text should also appear in the editor right below the original text. All you have to do is replace the erroneous automatically translated text with the correct version of the translated text.
If you didn’t enable the engine then you won’t find any translated text on the editor. Instead, there will be a blank bar. Be sure to insert your translated text in that bar.
After replacing or inserting translated text, be sure to hit the Save button located at the top of the editor to save your translations.
Then proceed to translate all the paragraphs on the page in this manner.
NOTE: Are you having trouble translating large blocks of paragraphs? Follow this guide .
That’s it. You now know how to implement paragraph translation.

Igor Oleynikov. The Hunting of the Snark
Erarta Museum presented an exhibition by Igor Oleynikov – an absurdist graphic art Odyssey recounting the pursuit of the mysterious Snark
Illustrations to the most puzzling work by Lewis Carroll
A story told as the memoir of a retired military beaver
An artist honoured with the Hans Christian Andersen Award, the most prestigious prize in children’s literature
Igor Oleynikov’s creative practice is firmly rooted in the world of childhood: his track record includes many years at the Soyuzmultfilm animation studio, illustrations to dozens of bestsellers, including the cult Soviet guide to the digital universe I’ve Been to the Computer City by Andrey Zaretsky and Alexander Trukhanov, as well as all sorts of professional recognitions, including the Hans Christian Andersen Award. Having been commissioned to illustrate Lewis Carroll’s mysterious poem The Hunting of the Snark , Oleynikov made the only feasible choice, jettisoning everything that was known about this extensively studied text and went his own way, reaching out to an older, well-versed readership.
In Carroll’s poem, in which the main character is named but never makes an appearance and the reader finds hardly anything to hold on to apart from the rhythm, the illustrator managed to discern gloomy rain-soaked visions of the post-war UK evocative of dystopian novels. Here, all social activity is thoroughly militarised, and the narrative is rendered as a visual memoir of the Beaver – one of the poem’s protagonists – presumably retired from a high army rank (needless to say, the original text contains nothing of the kind). Oleynikov admits that poetry is the most rewarding thing to illustrate: taking only one line as a point of departure, it is possible to construct an entirely independent creative world, which is exactly what the illustrator did in this case, using free associations to arrive at a kind of a Gothic version of the Yellow Submarine animated film.
Illustrating Carroll’s absurdist odyssey in the most popular Russian translation by Grigory Kruzhkov, the artist did not bother to inquire into what exactly is going on here: instead, he organised his own Snark-hunting expedition, making sure to stock up his submarine with green apples and the Enigma cipher machine. The translator and the illustrator find the right imagery and redefine the old concepts, which is exactly why Oleynikov’s visual translation alongside Kruzhkov’s poetic one present a unique opportunity to gain a new perspective on the creation of the great master of nonsense.
Igor Oleynikov was born in Lyubertsy, Moscow Oblast, in 1953. Having graduated from the Moscow Institute of Chemical Engineering in 1976, he spent several years as an engineer at a design bureau. The artist currently resides in Moscow.
Since 1979, Oleynikov has been professionally involved with the Soyuzmultfilm animation studio, contributing to such iconic productions as The Mystery of the Third Planet , Once upon a Dog , Caliph Stork , Journey of the Ant , Martynko , and others as assistant production designer. From 1991 through 2000, he worked as production engineer at Christmas Films studio. That decade also saw the beginning of Igor Oleynikov’s collaboration with the publishers of children’s books and periodicals – to date he has illustrated more than 70 publications, mostly for the younger audience, issued in Russia and abroad. Oleynikov was awarded the Book Review newspaper’s Person of the Book prize in 2011 and received the diploma of the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2012.

Tiger Woods had a helpful hand on the Augusta National driving range Sunday morning.
Woods’ 15-year-old son Charlie was at the five-time Masters winner’s side as the elder Woods prepared for his early final round. Charlie stood with Woods’ caddie Lance Bennett, chatted with his father during the warm-up and helped Woods work through some drills.

Charlie has followed his father throughout this year’s Masters, but it was the first time he was seen inside the practice grounds. Woods revealed earlier this week that he hasn’t played Augusta National with Charlie in “a couple of years.”
“I would like to, obviously, play a little bit more up here with him and to share the experiences,” Woods said during his pre-tournament press conference. “Especially now that he's got a little bit longer so he hits it past me. So I think that the days of playing from the members tees are over. He's got to come back there with us.”
It’s hard to forget the moment just after Woods won the Masters in 2019, as he walked off the 18th green and shared an emotional hug with Charlie. Sunday marked another special memory on the Augusta National grounds for Woods and his son to share.
O.J. Simpson, NFL star whose murder trial gripped the nation, dies of cancer at 76
O.J. Simpson , the former NFL star who was acquitted of murdering his ex-wife and her friend in a televised trial that gripped the nation, has died of cancer, according to his family.
"He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren," the family said in a statement posted on X . "During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace."
Reports circulated in February that Simpson had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and was in hospice care as he underwent chemotherapy. He denied that he was in hospice in a video posted on X, but did not address whether he'd been diagnosed with cancer.
“Hospice? Hospice? You talking ‘bout hospice?” he said in the video with a laugh, adding that he doesn’t know who started the rumors.
Orenthal James Simpson played 11 seasons in the National Football League and was known as "The Juice" to his fans, but his sports legacy was tarnished forever in the 1990s after his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman were killed.
Brown Simpson, 35, and Goldman, 25, were found stabbed to death outside her Los Angeles home in 1994.
On June 13, 1994, Goldman was returning sunglasses that the mother of Brown Simpson had left at a restaurant where he worked. The two were stabbed and slashed dozens of times, and their bodies were found the next day.
When Los Angeles police officers went to Simpson's home to speak to him about the slayings, Simpson did not answer the door but officers noticed a trail of blood leading to his car, as well as blood on his car.
Once a revered athlete, Simpson went from a Hall of Fame icon to a murder suspect.
Days later, officials charged Simpson with the murders and he attempted to evade arrest, resulting in an infamous hourslong police chase along Southern California's highways in his white Ford Bronco .
Simpson's case went to trial in 1995 and was broadcast to millions of viewers across the nation. The court case was dubbed the "trial of the century" as it dragged on for months and transformed into a public spectacle.
Feelings over the trial have remained mixed over the years, with many accusing the Los Angeles Police Department of racism in its handling of the case. Others believe that Simpson's ability to retain high-powered attorneys allowed him to get away with murder.
The trial made prosecutors Christopher Darden and Marcia Clark household names, in addition to Simpson's defense attorneys Johnnie Cochran, Alan Dershowitz and Robert Kardashian.
He was acquitted of both murders in a controversial verdict. Two years later, he was found civilly liable for wrongful death in the double homicide case.
Despite his acquittal in the criminal trial, many still believed Simpson was guilty, a belief bolstered by a jury ordering him to pay $33 million to Goldman's family in the civil case — damages that were never paid in full.
Goldman's father, Fred Goldman, spoke to NBC News by phone Thursday and described Simpson's death as "no great loss."
“The only thing I have to say is it’s just further reminder of Ron being gone all these years," he said. "It’s no great loss to the world. It’s a further reminder of Ron’s being gone.”
Bob Costas, the sports broadcaster who worked with Simpson for years at NBC Sports covering the NFL, said Simpson leaves behind “a complicated legacy, to put it mildly.”
“I can’t think of anyone historical or someone that we may have known where the first chapter and the second chapter of their lives are such a stark contrast … revered and then reviled,” Costas said on NBC’s “TODAY” show Friday.
In 2007, Simpson led an armed robbery attempt of a sports memorabilia dealer in Las Vegas. He argued in court that he was recovering his own stolen items, but his defense failed to sway the jury.
He was convicted and sentenced to 33 years in prison, of which he served only nine before he was released on parole .
Simpson spoke to The Associated Press by phone in 2019 , telling them that he was healthy and happy living in Las Vegas. He maintained that he believed his robbery conviction was unfair, but said: “I believe in the legal system and I honored it. I served my time.”
The Simpson murder trial was re-enacted and relitigated decades later in FX’s “The People v. O.J. Simpson,” an installment of the network’s popular “American Crime Story” series in 2016. Released that same year was the Academy Award-winning documentary "O.J.: Made in America," detailing Simpson's rise and fall.
Simpson was born in San Francisco and raised in public housing, going to a local community college before transferring to the University of Southern California. He was part of the school's national championship in 1967 and earned the Heisman Trophy the next year.
He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 1969 as a No. 1 overall pick.
According to NBC Sports , Simpson was the first player in the league to rush for 2,000 or more yards in a season and is considered the best running back of his era.
Simpson had three children from his first marriage to Marguerite Whitley, one of whom died in a drowning accident as a toddler.
He also shared two children with Brown Simpson.
Following her murder and his acquittal, Simpson won custody of their shared children and moved to Miami with them. His custody fight with his former-in-laws also drew headlines as the children's grandparents took him to court in a bitter legal battle.
