These wine party buses take you from winery to winery. There is also NO shortage in the number of wineries that exist in the world. Of course, you’ll notice that there are more wineries where wine is grown in abundance!

These buses or firetrucks take you to all of the wineries in the area. It’s neat to see all the wineries, but to also know you’re doing a tour and getting to taste a bunch of different wines. Did you know that Temecula Valley Wine Country actually includes over 20 wineries?!

4-Wheeled Wine Tasting in St. Louis

If you live in the St. Louis area or you’re visiting, you’re in luck because there are wine tasting party buses here. Since there are quite a few wineries in this area, there are a few companies that will take you around. You can book a wine party bus in St. Louis .

Where do i get on the wine wagon.

Raintree and the 101 in North Scottsdale. You will meet our driver at the shuttle at 8:45 am the day of departure in parking lot closest to Walmart. Instructions will be included in your ticket purchase email.

What do we do for lunch?

Lunch is not provided, but most of the wineries do have food and snacks to purchase. We would recommend bringing lunch with you or planning to purchase it. You are not allow to take outside food or drinks inside the wineries. A few of our winery and tasting rooms partners offer our guests a food discount.

Do you have to be 21 to ride on the shuttle?

Yes, all passengers must be 21 to ride on the shuttle. You can also bring beverages on the bus.

Are the tastings or wine included?

No, we are just your luxury ride there and back. You can purchase glasses or flights at each location starting at $10 a glass. We do not recommend booking private tastings on our single-seat shuttle rides because of the time constraints.

Can you have snacks and drinks on the bus?

Yes, you can bring your own goodies on the bus. You are not able to bring them into the wineries.

The Wineries

The wine wagon stops at 3 wineries in the verde valley and cottonwood areas. plan on sipping on glasses or flights of wine for about one and a half hours at each location. glasses start at $10 each or wine flights at $15 each. (wine & food not included in ticket).

• Alcantara Vineyard – You’ll find Alcantara Vineyards has over 20,000 vines and offers 17 different varietals. While you sip wine and enjoy our peaceful surroundings. Enjoy live music and lunch here and also enjoy 2 for 1 wine flights for our guests!
• Javelina Leap – Javelina Leap is a family operated, premium boutique winery with award winning wines. The winery is in northern Arizona’s Verde Valley only minutes away from Sedona in the small historic valley of Page Springs.
• Cove Mesa Tasting Room –   In 2020, three local wine enthusiasts banded together to start Cove Mesa Vineyard in Cottonwood.  An ultra premium winery focused on small production wines. New location is on Page Spring Road!
• Page Springs Cellars – Page Springs Cellars offers a scenic vineyard with creekside picnic tables, a tasting room, a bistro & guided tours. (not on every tour)

By visiting the Services, using any information, materials, features or services, including but not limited to any reservation or ticketing services, you are accepting these Terms and Conditions. AZ Wine Wagon may revise these Terms and Conditions at any time, and all users will be bound by such revisions for all use of the Services after the revision is posted. Revisions will be posted on this page and users are responsible to review the page from time to time to ensure compliance.

• Refunds and Cancellations

Most shuttle services offered are fully refundable when cancelled at least 7 days prior to departure. Specific cancellation and refund policies are noted on all other services in the description details. If you fail to show up for the shuttle service, the booking is considered a no show and no refund will be granted.

If AZ Wine Wagon cancels a shuttle service for any reason, you will receive a full refund of the deposit. In the event of inclement weather, we reserve the right to modify, shorten, or cancel any shuttle service to prevent damage to vehicles or to avoid unsafe conditions. Full refunds or the option to re-book will be provided if we are unable to run a shuttle service due to bad weather or other cancellations.

Guest understands that unforeseen traffic due to weather, accidents, or roadwork may affect the timing of pick up or drop off, and may cause delays during the shuttle service.

• Shuttle Information

Pick up and drop off service may be available with confirmation from our reservations staff. In many circumstances, pick up and drop off service may only be available at a single specified location. Gratuity is not included in our rates and is payable at the guest’s discretion.

All guests must be 21 years of age or older and must provide proof if asked.

Winery locations and itinerary may change due to traffic or a previously booked special event at the location.   Shuttle service cost does not include any winery fees except where expressly indicated.  

AZ Wine Wagon and any shuttle service drive has the ability and right to end a shuttle service at any time due to over-consumption of alcohol and/or related sickness. We are not responsible for any wineries determination not to serve alcohol to you. No refunds will be given if a winery refuses service to you. AZ Wine Wagon is not responsible for you or anyone in your party once the shuttle service has concluded and you have been dropped off. Please watch your alcohol intake and please do not drink and drive.

Guests will be fully responsible for any charges related to sickness in a vehicle due to alcohol consumption, and a minimum cleaning fee of $250 will be assessed if the vehicle needs extensive cleaning due to sickness.

Guest desires to participate in the shuttle service offered by the Company (the “Shuttle Service”).

Guest is able to participate in the Shuttle Service and fully agrees to do so.

Guest fully comprehends and understands all of the risks associated with their participation in the Shuttle Service.

Guest grants Company the right and authority to use Guest’s name, likeness, photograph and/or picture for any and all commercial and non-commercial purposes without further obligation or compensation to Guest.

GUEST’S PARTICIPATION IN THE SHUTTLE SERVICE IS AT GUEST’S OWN SOLE RISK. GUEST, ON BEHALF OF THEMSELF AND/OR ANY PERSON OR ENTITY ACTING THROUGH OR ON BEHALF OF GUEST, HEREBY FOREVER AND UNCONDITIONALLY RELEASES THE COMPANY, AND ANY AFFILIATED ENTITIES, PARENT COMPANIES, SUBSIDIARIES, PRESENT AND FORMER EMPLOYEES, OWNERS, OFFICERS, MEMBERS, MANAGERS, PARTNERS, CONTRACTORS, INSURERES, SHAREHOLDERS AND DIRECTORS OF THE FOREGOING (COLLETIVELY THE “RELEASED PARTIES”), FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, ACTIONS, DAMAGES, LIABILITIES, LOSSES, COSTS AND EXPENSES IN ANY WAY ARISING OUT OF, OR RESULTING FROM GUEST’S PARTICIPATION IN A SHUTTLE SERVICE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, ACTIONS, AND LIABILITIES FOR DEATH, INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGE TO GUEST, TO ANY ONE ELSE, OR TO ANY PROPERTY, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT SUCH INJURY, LOSS OR DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL CONDUCT OF THE COMPANY OR ANY OF THE RELEASED PARTIES. GUEST, ON BEHALF OF THEMSELF AND/OR ANY PERSON OR ENTITY ACTING THROUGH OR ON BEHALF OF GUEST, FURTHER AGREES TO DEFEND AND INDEMNIFY THE RELEASED PARTIES, AND TO HOLD THE RELEASED PARTIES HARMLESS, FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITIES, CLIAMS, ACTIONS, DAMAGES, EXPENSES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ATTORNEY’S FEES) AND LOSSES OF ANY KIND OR NATURE WHATSOEVER IN ANY WAY ARISING OUT OF, OR RESULTING FROM, GUEST’S PARTICIPATION IN THE SHUTTLE SERVICE.

This Waiver and Release of Claims constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between Guest and the Released Parties, and cancels, terminates, and supersedes any prior agreement or understanding relating to the subject matter hereof. There are no representations, promises, agreements, warranties, covenants, or undertakings other than those contained in this Waiver and Release of Claims.

None of the provisions of this Waiver and Release of Claims can be waived or modified except expressly in writing signed by Guest and the party against whom the waiver or modification is sought to be enforced. Failure of any of the Released Parties to enforce any of their rights hereunder at any time shall not act as a waiver to enforce their rights under this Waiver and Release for same or similar acts at any subsequent time.

• You will not impersonate any other person or misrepresent a relationship with any person or entity, including misrepresenting a relationship with AZ Wine Wagon; similarly, you will not adopt a false identity if the purpose of doing so is to deceive or defraud another;
• You will not post any content that contains any viruses, cancel bots, Trojan horses, harmful code, or other computer software or program designed to interrupt the website or the Services we provide, users’ ability to enjoy the Services, or the proper functioning of any software, hardware or equipment or materials used in connection with the website and the Services;

How to do a Bordeaux wine tour by public transport: Visit vineyards with no need for a designated driver

T he day took a bit of a wobble at Margaux. Not, you understand, because I’d been sampling some of Bordeaux ’s top-quality tipples after an excellent lunch accompanied by more wine . It was because Margaux village's station was deserted out of season, with train information displayed on screens, and no clue which of the two platforms was which. Trains making the 45-minute journey to Bordeaux city seemed to run at different times from both platforms.

I had to chance it; I doubted I’d have time to cross the open tracks once the train arrived. Luckily, I guessed correctly and chugged on with my discovery of Bordeaux by public transport .

Most people don’t realise the extent of France ’s wine producing region. It would take you two and a half hours to drive the 99 miles from its northernmost to southernmost extremities. No wonder those taking a vineyard tour generally drive or go on group trips. There is, however, another way – to visit the vineyards by trains, bus and tram. And aside from the slight hiccup I experienced at Margaux, I found it surprisingly easy.

One vineyard, Chateau Les Carmes Haut-Brion, is even within the sprawling city’s limits and can be reached by Bordeaux’s extensive tram network. What’s more, it’s designed by Philippe Starck, resembling the bow of a boat from the outside, while within the concrete wine vats are painted in different designs. (Tour with tasting costs €55).

It’s in complete contrast to the historic Chateau Pape Clement, a 25-minute bus journey away, or a 40-minute bus and train trip from the city centre. Vines were originally planted here in the 13th century by Bertrand de Got, who became Pope Clement V. Now, the grand cru classe wines lie maturing in an enormous barrel-filled room lit by chandeliers.

You can make your own version in the 19th-century chateau in a process reminiscent of a school chemistry lesson, as you experiment with different ratios of merlot to cab sav. Once I had my winning formula, I bottled it, added a cork and foil and embellished the label: Chateau Jane. (Tour with tasting costs €20, a winemaker course costs €99).

Another day, another vineyard or three, this time in the Medoc with its famous Margaux appellation. The village of Margaux isn’t the most appealing, but you’re there for the vino, and that doesn’t disappoint. I started with the biodynamic wine at Chateau Ferriere, made to beyond-organic principles and according to the cycle of the moon; they also make biodynamic tea. (Tour and tasting costs €25).

It’s just a short walk from here to Marquis de Terme, which has an elegantly modern restaurant where I polished off a superb lunch accompanied by their delicious grand cru classe. The tour here is particularly interesting because they have an eye on the future as well as the past and are constantly innovating.

The expansive cellar not only holds rows of barrels in which to age the wine, but also other containers to achieve different finishes – pearl-shaped barrels, egg-shaped concrete vats, pottery amphora and a large wooden barrel connected by wifi to record changes in temperature, pressure and oxygen. I can confirm that the finished product is particularly delicious; I finished off my tasting with rum made in Martinique from the chateau’s barrels. (Tour and three tastings costs €35).

It was at this point that my little incident at the station nearly jeopardised the 20-minute train ride followed by a 20-minute walk to Chateau Saint-Ahon. Reminiscent of buildings in Paris’s Place de Vosges, this small property is extremely family friendly, with walks through the vines interspersed by informative panels. Its wines are a decent price, with the eponymous brand coming in at €14, which you can drink accompanied by a picnic of produce bought in the shop. (Tour and tasting costs €12). Better still, because it’s in Bordeaux metropolis, once back at the station, you can take a tram back to the sprawling city.

Where you stay here depends on whether you want to be near the station in the south (where I picked) or a tram ride from it near the beautiful Place de la Bourse in the centre, with its many restaurants.

Wherever you choose, you shouldn’t go to Bordeaux without seeing the medieval hilltop village of Saint-Emilion, and enjoying some of its vintages. Happily, it’s just a 34-minute train journey away, followed by a 20-minute walk along a vine-fringed road (or an hour-long bus ride without the walk in season). The eponymous eighth-century saint lived in a cave here, which you can still visit along with the catacombs and spectacular monolithic church; Emilion’s presence drew religious communities who were adept at wine making.

They included the monks at the Couvent des Jacobins, whose atmospheric cellars are reached through a small wooden Harry-Potter style door beneath the stairs. Private visits give you time to chill out in the pretty gardens, while tastings of their organic wines are accompanied by cheese, chocolate or St-Emilion’s famous macaroons. It's much more touristy up the road at Cloitre de Cordeliers, where you can enjoy a restaurant picnic in the ruins of the cloister and take a mad tuk-tuk tour around the town and through some of the miles of underground tunnels carved out under Saint-Emilion by quarrying. (Tuk-tuk and tasting costs €25.) The ones here are used to store sparkling wine rather than Bordeaux red, but just a five-minute walk away, Chateau Villemaurine uses some of its own network of tunnels to mature its superb grand cru classe. Tours by torchlight head into the silence of the cellars, where bats hang from the ceiling and vine roots work their way through the overhead rock. It would be hard to find a more evocative place to end my trip. (Tour and tasting costs €20).
