A 3x GRAMMY Award-winning singer, songwriter, rapper, actress, and so much more, Lizzo has shifted the sound, soul, and spirit of popular music and culture. 2019’s now-classic, RIAA platinum certified debut album, CUZ I LOVE YOU, bowed at #4 on the Billboard 200, fueled in part by such history-making hits as the platinum certified “Tempo (Feat. Missy Elliott),” the 2x platinum “Juice,” the 4x platinum “Good As Hell,” and the 7x platinum “Truth Hurts.” The latter of which ascended to #1 on Billboard’s “Hot 100,” affirming Lizzo as only the third female rapper to top the chart without a featured artist, as well as the first black solo female R&B singer to claim the top spot since 2012. “Truth Hurts” dominated the chart for seven weeks, further making history as the longest running #1 by a solo female rap artist ever. Named by Rolling Stone as one of the “500 Greatest Songs Of All Time,” “Truth Hurts” went on to earn a 2020 GRAMMY® Award for “Best Pop Solo Performance,” with CUZ I LOVE YOU (DELUXE) receiving that year’s GRAMMY® for “Best Urban Contemporary Album” and “Jerome” earning “Best Traditional R&B Performance.”
Crowned 2019’s “Entertainer of the Year” by both TIME and Entertainment Weekly, Lizzo has adorned the covers of countless publications around the globe, spanning Rolling Stone, Billboard, Elle, British Vogue, and many more. Among her many unforgettable TV appearances, Lizzo has lit up the stage at the American Music Awards, the MTV Video Music Awards, the BET Awards, Saturday Night Live, and an epic opening performance at the GRAMMYs, to name just a few. Expanding her imprint and influence across media, Lizzo lent her voice to the 2019 animated film,UglyDolls, and joined Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, and Cardi B in the all-star cast of that same year’s critically acclaimed Hustlers.
Lizzo maintained this unstoppable momentum on 2021’s RIAA gold certified “Rumors (Feat. Cardi B)” and is now set to create her biggest, boldest, and brightest revolution thus far with her massively anticipated second full-length offering SPECIAL for Nice Life Recording Company/Atlantic Records, due July 15th.

Lizzo Announces ‘The Special 2our,’ A Second North American Leg With Latto Staying On As The Opener
Lizzo was scheduled to wrap the North American leg of her Special Tour on Saturday, November 19, at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, but she’s having too much fun to stop. The support of Special , her highly anticipated and successful July album, will continue well into next year. Lizzo had already announced 2023 European and UK tour dates for February and March, but today (November 14), she added another 17-date North American leg called The Special 2our .
“SPECIAL 2OUR AINT OVER AND WE HIT THE JACKPOT CUS @latto IS COMING W US!!” Lizzo tweeted, confirming that former Uproxx cover star Latto will stay on as her opener.
SPECIAL 2OUR AINT OVER AND WE HIT THE JACKPOT CUS @latto IS COMING W US!! 🎰🎰 TIX ON SALE FRIDAY 😱 https://t.co/SPJv0LcGLz pic.twitter.com/1RcKvvsSvN — FOLLOW @YITTY (@lizzo) November 14, 2022
The newly revealed stretch will begin on April 21, 2023, at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee. American Express card members will have access to tickets from Wednesday (November 16) at 10 a.m. local time until Thursday (November 17) at 10 p.m. local time. The general sale begins Friday (November 18) at 10 a.m. local time on Lizzo’s official website .
The Special 2our will have a lot to live up to, as Lizzo has enjoyed a stellar 2022. She played James Madison’s 200-year-old crystal flute while twerking at her Washington, DC stop and cried in her hometown Detroit . Latto welcomed Stacey Abrams on stage to make a pro-choice statement in Atlanta last month. Away from the tour, Lizzo added an Emmy to her awards cabinet and pulled double duty on Saturday Night Live . 38 Special: The Band
After more than four decades together, 38 SPECIAL continues to bring a signature blast of Southern Rock to over 100 cities a year. And at each and every show, thousands of audience members are amazed by the explosive power of the band's performance. Their many Gold and Platinum album awards stand in testament to the endurance of a legendary powerhouse. With sales in excess of 20 million, most associate the band with their arena-rock pop smashes, “Hold On Loosely,” “Rockin’ Into the Night,” “Caught Up in You,” “Fantasy Girl,” “If I’d Been the One,” “Back Where You Belong,” “Chain Lightnin’,” “Second Chance,” and more – Timeless hits that remain a staple at radio, immediately recognizable from the first opening chord, and paving the way to their present-day touring regimen. Guitarist/vocalist DON BARNES says it's all about maintaining that intensity in their live shows. “We never wanted to be one of those bands that had maybe gotten a little soft or complacent over the years. We're a team, and it's always been kind of an unspoken rule that we don’t slack up, we stack up. We go out there every night to win.” Since 1976, the band has released more than 15 albums. And from the start, they’ve toured relentlessly, bringing their signature brand of ‘muscle and melody’ to fans worldwide. It is that steely determination that lives on in the hearts of these ‘ Wild-Eyed Southern Boys.' For 38 Special, being onstage is a celebration of camaraderie and brotherhood, a precision unit bringing the dedication and honesty to a long history of classic songs, as well as surprisingly fresh new material. The current lineup includes Guitarist/vocalist DON BARNES, keyboardist/vocalist BOBBY CAPPS , drummer GARY MOFFATT , bassist BARRY DUNAWAY and guitarist JERRY RIGGS . Barnes adds, "This music keeps our wheels on the road. We're a band that's tried to stay honest with what has driven us over the years. We started out with nothing but bold determination to make our own history and to endure. Looking back now, it has been our greatest pride to have persevered and attained that level of success and longevity. For us, it's the ultimate validation.” “The magic's still there,” adds Barnes. "It's an emotional high for us to keep 'bringing it' after all these years. When those lights go down and we all walk up those steps to the stage and hear that crowd roar, it’s a real rush to the head. It feels like we're getting ready to strap ourselves in and it just takes off from there."

Maren Morris Announces 2024 Tour With Special Twist
M aren Morris recently announced a huge 2024 tour with more than a few special surprises in store. So, what can listeners expect from this upcoming tour as the singer prepares to hit the road?
Maren Morris Announces 2024 Tour
In recent years, Marren Morris has stepped away from making country music, which was what first put her on the map. These days, she is taking a Taylor Swift approach to her career, branching out into a more Pop/EDM sound. One recent example is her collaboration with Diplo on the track 42 .
The 2024 RSVP Redux Tour will include dates across North America to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Morris’s album, Girl . This is also an attempt to make things right after Morris had to cancel her original 2020 RSVP tour due to the global pandemic.
Big Surprises In Store With New Maren Morris Tour Dates
Maren Morris surprised her fan base not too long ago with a cover of the Billy Idol classic, Dancing with Myself . Maren Morris has gone through a lot of changes in her life in a relatively short time, as her divorce from her now ex-husband was finalized earlier this year.
Morris is in a place in her life now where she is rediscovering herself and finding a new path, and this 2024 tour is the perfect way to discover who she will become in this next chapter of her life.
As a bonus, these 2024 RSVP Redux Tour dates will feature setlists curated by fans. So, there will be more of a personal touch to these upcoming dates, especially for fans who missed out when the initial tour was axed back in 2020. Morris said of the upcoming tour that it’s “going to be so much fun with different sets every night.”
What Else Do We Know About The 2024 RSVP Redux Tour?
The first show of the 2024 RSVP Redux Tour will kick things off in San Francisco on May 29. The tour will continue around much of the United States and Canada, with notable stops in cities like Seattle, Vancouver, Phoenix, and more. This time out on the road will conclude with a July 31 performance at the Festival at Sandpoint in Sandpoint, Indiana.
This will surely be an important time for Maren Morris as she continues to navigate life following her divorce. Whenever life throws personal hardship your way, a tried and true coping strategy is to lean into your art. In Morris’s case, she has an entire tour to put on killer shows, and this will likely be a fruitful time for both the singer and her fans attending these stops.
Tickets for the tour officially go on sale on March 29 to the general public. Presale tickets go on sale starting March 26, with one dollar from every ticket sold going toward various LGBTQ+ organizations.

The tour comes after her latest song “HISS” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February. “HISS” also became the first-ever, solo female rap song to debut No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 and, as a result, Megan now owns the record for the biggest first week for a solo female rap song in history.
The achievement signified Megan’s third No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, following her other chart-topping hits such as “Savage (Remix)” with Beyoncé and “WAP” with Cardi B. The song was Megan’s second solo release via Hot Girl Productions – her independent music and entertainment entity.
Earlier this year, Megan and Warner Music Group announced an innovative agreement that enabled the Houston native to maintain her independence as a musician while also having access to the music company’s robust global services, ranging from radio promotion to marketing worldwide. Through the unique structure of the agreement, Megan could release her music independently and still have distribution and resources with Warner Music, while having full ownership of her masters and publishing.
It’s the latest in a series of trailblazing milestones for Megan in 2024. Most recently, Planned Parenthood announced plans to honor Megan with the organization’s Catalyst for Change Award at its annual gala in New York City on April 16.

White House Memo
A Corvette, Swimsuit Shots and a Trip to Mongolia: Biden Offers a Tour of His Life
Transcripts of five hours of interviews with the special counsel released this week reveal a president with a lot on his mind and a storehouse of stories to tell.

By Peter Baker
Reporting from Washington
They were there to talk about classified documents, but somehow President Biden’s mind had turned to Mongolia.
Something about being handed a bow and arrow during a visit and embarrassing his host. “Pure luck, I hit the goddamn target,” Mr. Biden recalled. Not so much the Mongolian leader. “The poor son of a bitch couldn’t pull it back. I was like, oh God.”

He has a large storehouse of stories, this president, and he shared them freely during interviews with prosecutors last fall. Mr. Biden described giving an oration in law school on a case he had not read and lying his way into an exclusive club in Delaware. He recounted his time with President Barack Obama and trying to “save his ass” from manipulative generals. He boasted of building a solar facility in Angola.
What any of that had to do with Mr. Biden’s handling of secret papers was not always clear, but transcripts of his five hours with the special counsel Robert K. Hur released this week opened a window into a president not often seen by the public lately. He was funny and folksy, chatty and charming, quick and quirky. In a sometimes meandering stream of consciousness, he took prosecutors on a colorful tour of his life with the occasional disquisition on the history of the Gutenberg printing press and Richard M. Nixon’s 1960 election defeat.
Of most importance to investigators, Mr. Biden was maddeningly imprecise about the government documents that ended up in his homes and offices where they did not belong. “I don’t remember how a beat-up box got in the garage,” he said. All told, he offered variations of “I don’t remember” or “I don’t recall” more than 50 times.
And there were other things he could not recall — what a fax machine is called, the name of a former cabinet colleague, the agency that preserves official papers. Discussing negotiations with a challenging nation, he named Afghanistan, then corrected himself to say that he meant Iraq only to have one of his lawyers tell him he was actually referring to Iran.
But he was clear and cogent through most of the questioning, which stretched over two days in October even as he was responding to the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel. At times, it seemed less an interrogation than a late-night talk show that prosecutors were loath to interrupt, a showcase of presidential patter that swung from self-serving to self-revealing, from a wrenching depiction of his son’s death bed to a cringey mention of the first lady’s body.
“I just hope you didn’t find any risqué pictures of my wife in a bathing suit,” he told interrogators who had searched his private homes as part of their investigation. “Which you probably did. She’s beautiful.”
A few minutes later, he offered advice to the younger people in the room, which was pretty much all of them. “I just warn you all, never make one great eulogy,” he counseled, “because you get asked to do everybody’s eulogy.”
This was the loquacious Joe Biden that many in Washington remember from his years before the White House, before he learned to check himself a little more in public and stopped giving so many interviews and news conferences where he might go off script. Mr. Biden has always had a mind that wandered and a tongue that was loose, often to the chagrin of his advisers.
His off-duty passions fairly leap off the 258 pages of transcript — particularly real estate and automotive vehicles.
“I’m a frustrated architect,” Mr. Biden said, constantly thinking about how to build or redesign homes. His family even gave him a drafting board. “In order to try to convince me not to run for the Senate for the 19th time,” he related, “my wife said, ‘Look, you don’t run, I’ll pay for architectural school for you.’”
She had her limits, though. When he mulled adding a swimming pool to a house in Virginia where they moved after leaving the vice president’s residence, she drew a red line of her own: “Jill’s going: ‘What are you doing? What are you talking about? Stop.’”
Mr. Biden’s devotion to home design was nonetheless evident. He corrected prosecutors who referred to his house in Wilmington, Del., as “the lake house,” saying, “It’s no lake, it’s a pond.” And while he might have forgotten names or dates, he exhibited perfect recall about the layout of his homes, leading a verbal expedition through them for the benefit of Mr. Hur, who noted that the president appeared “to have a photographic understanding and recall of the house.”
Then there was his cherished Corvette, which Mr. Biden always speaks of as if it were a favorite child. “It drove me crazy. I wanted to drive it,” he said, referring to limits imposed by the Secret Service, which frowns on presidents and vice presidents taking the wheel. “The worst part was they said I couldn’t drive it outside the driveway. It’s a long driveway. So I’d get to the bottom of the driveway, tack it up to about four grand.” At that point, the transcript notes, the president of the United States “makes a car sound.”
He started talking about “a big 4 by 4,” probably a Ford Bronco. “Zero to 60 in 4.6,” he exclaimed.
“That’s fast,” Mr. Hur agreed, indulgently.
“Yeah,” Mr. Biden said. “By the way, you know how it works? It’s really cool.”
“Sir,” Mr. Hur tried to interject, “I’d love — I would love, love to hear much more about this, but I do have a few more questions to get through.”
Mr. Biden ignored him. “You can take 30 seconds,” he said, “but you put your foot on the brake, you hit, you hit a button that’s in the — it says ‘launch.’ You step your foot on the accelerator all the way down.”
For five hours in the Map Room of the White House, in fact, Mr. Biden was all about the accelerator and not so much about the brake. He talked of passing the Violence Against Women Act (“really meant a lot to me”), writing his first memoir (“it was on the best-seller’s list”) and promoting legalization of same-sex marriage (“I’m the guy that got that changed,” which might surprise former Justice Anthony M. Kennedy). He mentioned the day he met his first wife, offered thoughts on agriculture on the Delmarva Peninsula and talked ruefully of once being “the poorest man in Congress.”
He deployed phrases that dated him. When he wanted to refer to someone in a generic way, he used a made-up name, as in “Charlie Schmedlap” or “Senator Schmedlap.” When he was describing how to learn more about what was happening, he invoked an old nursery rhyme, saying he was trying to find out “who killed Cock Robin.”
Among those who made cameo appearances in his circuitous discourse were Strom Thurmond, Cory Booker and Benjamin Netanyahu. Shown a photo of himself with an arm around Senator Lindsey Graham, a Republican from South Carolina and an estranged friend, he said, “They’re the old days.” From the cold type of a transcript, it was not clear — was he wistful or bitter?
But he held out hope that he would one day get help of a more eternal nature from another acquaintance. “I still communicate with the pope, you know what I mean,” he said. “But is it constant? No. Anyway.” He went on: “He’s my ticket.” The lawyers laughed. “That was a joke,” he made clear in case it was not. (At the same time, as he often does in public, he wanted to make sure his interlocutors did not think he was kidding when he was not. “I’m not being facetious,” he said eight times during the interviews.)
He told well-worn stories of deciding to run for president in 2020 — how a dying Beau Biden, his eldest son, insisted that he not withdraw from public life out of grief, how he bristled when President Donald J. Trump equated white supremacists in Charlottesville, Va., with the protesters against them and how his grandchildren called a family meeting to urge him to get into the race.
Some of the more interesting stories, though, were of his early adulthood, now more than half a century ago. He “didn’t take law school very seriously,” he admitted, but once gave a 10-minute talk in class without reading the material and “the whole class stood up, started clapping.” He wanted to move to Idaho after law school but went to a job interview at a law firm in Delaware where he was told, “I assume you’re expecting to be hired on your looks.”
And then there was the man with the mutilated private parts. It was one of Mr. Biden’s first cases as a lawyer, involving an oil refinery worker who was injured by a fire in a containment vessel. “He lost part of his penis and one of his testicles and he was 23 years old,” the president explained matter of factly.
A senior partner ordered him to write a motion to dismiss the man’s lawsuit. “And son of a bitch, it prevailed,” Mr. Biden recounted. “And I looked over at that kid and his wife home with two little kids, and I thought: ‘Son of a bitch, I’m in the wrong business. I’m not made for this.’”
So he eventually went into politics instead, embarking on a career that would one day take him to the White House.

Biden’s Mental Acuity Under Scrutiny
Comments about president biden’s age and memory in the special counsel’s report have captured democrats’ fears ahead of the november election and fueled republicans in their efforts to cast the president as weak..
Portrayal of Biden’s Memory: Robert Hur, the special counsel in the case examining President Biden’s handling of classified files, accused the president of “significant” memory problems in his report. The transcript of Hur’s interview with the president as part of the inquiry offers context to his report .
An Age-Old Question: How old is too old to be president? The report has thrust the issue back into the spotlight just as America seems poised to elect a commander in chief well past typical retirement age, no matter who wins in November.
Implications for 2024 Election: Why is the age issue hurting Biden so much more than Donald Trump? Both are over 75, but voters are much less likely to worry that Trump is too old to serve .
Voter Reactions: To Americans in their 70s and 80s, the renewed questions swirling around Biden’s age have resonated in deeply personal ways . Many agree that it’s an issue, while others feel the criticism of Biden is insulting.
The Science of Memory Loss: After the report’s release, medical experts noted that the special counsel’s judgments on Biden’s mental health did not appear to be based on science .
Palm Beach Gardens golfer Cristobal Del Solar still getting messages about record-setting 57
It has been more than a month since Palm Beach Gardens resident Cristobal Del Solar shot a 57 — the lowest round ever in professional golf — and he’s still getting messages.
By the day, by the hour.
“I’ve gotten more than 4,000 of them from everywhere, even people in Canada,” said Del Solar, a native of Chile. “I’m like, ‘I don’t know who you are, but thanks!’”
Such is life for Mr. 57, a sobriquet never mentioned at golf’s highest level. Life has changed immensely since Feb. 8 when Del Solar had a morning tee time in the first round of the Astara Golf Championship in Bogota, Colombia, on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Del Solar birdied six of his first eight holes on the par-70, 6,254-yard course before he drove the par-4 ninth hole for an eagle to make the turn in an eye-popping 27. He then birdied No. 10, eagled the par-5 12 th and added birdies at the 14 th and 15 th holes before finishing with three pars for a back-nine 30.
It added up to a 13-under 57 — much to his surprise.
“I honestly didn’t know where I was at,” Del Solar said. “I didn’t know I was 13-(under), maybe 12- or 14-. I was just trying to make birdies. I didn’t know I had set a world record until all the reporters started coming up to me afterward.”
He knows now. It took more than three hours to complete his post-round interviews. Everybody wanted to know more about the 30-year-old who had eclipsed the 58s Jim Furyk shot at the Travelers Championship and Stephan Jaeger fired at the KFT’s Ellie Mae Classic, both in 2016.
“I finally said, ‘I’m done,’ ” Del Solar said. “I knew I hadn’t done anything yet. I still wanted to win the tournament, and we had 54 holes to go. I hadn’t even made the cut.”
Del Solar didn’t go on to win the tournament — he finished fifth after following history with rounds of 69-75-63. It’s no surprise Del Solar struggled in the middle two rounds when he couldn’t go out to eat in Bogota without fans pointing at him or asking for photos.
Not that any golfer will complain about a 57.
“It definitely was a boost of confidence, knowing I had accomplished something nobody else had done,” he said. “It assured me my game was moving in the right direction, even though I already knew that. And it gives me more name recognition. Everybody knows me in Chile; not so much here.”
Del Solar attended IMG Academy, Florida State before turning pro
Here’s what to know about Del Solar’s past: He moved to the U.S. to attend the IMG Academy in Bradenton before accepting a scholarship to play at Florida State. He turned pro in 2017, moved to South Florida and started playing on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica, where he won four times, before moving to the KFT last year.
Del Solar believes a big step in his career occurred when he joined Dye Preserve in Jupiter. This allowed him to play on the difficult Pete Dye design that exposed his flaws.
“People were asking me after the 57 if I had shot a lower score on my home course,” Del Solar said. “I told them no way. The Dye Preserve is harder than most tournament courses I play.”
When fellow Chilean Joaquin Niemann turned pro in 2018 and moved to Jupiter, Del Solar persuaded him to join Dye Preserve. The same with countryman Mito Pereira, who would have won the 2022 PGA if not for a double bogey on the 72 nd hole.
Niemann has recently been one of the hottest golfers in the world, becoming the first LIV Golf member to receive an exemption into the Masters. Pereira followed Niemann to LIV.
