Moscow Metro
The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.
What is the kremlin in russia?
The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.
And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.
During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.
There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:
From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.
At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.
According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.
The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.
Coffee Ring
The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.
Zodiac Metro
According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.
Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.
Paleontological finds
Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!
- Every day each car in Moscow metro passes more than 600 km, which is the distance from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
- Moscow subway system is the 5th in the intensity of use (after the subways of Beijing, Tokyo, Seoul and Shanghai).
- The interval in the movement of trains in rush hour is 90 seconds .

7 Day Southwest National Parks Grand Canyon Camping Tour
I had a great time on the 7 day Southwest Highlights Tour. Our group of 12 was a mix of couples, friends and solo travellers (half camping, half in hotel lodging) who bonded over the course of the week to become a really tight group who had a lot of fun together. We had Dylan as our guide and he was excellent: easygoing and friendly, a great DJ for the long van rides, with an endless supply of hilarious stories and suggestions to make the most of the trip. He went above and beyond, with group dinners in beautiful locations, after dark campfires and a sunrise walk at the Grand Canyon for those who wanted to be up early on the last day! The camping experience was great: good equipment, nice campsites for most stops and plenty of food options. The national parks visited are just beautiful - you think you've seen the best, and then you visit the next one and it's equally beautiful, but in completely different way. Bryce Canyon and Antelope Canyon were real highlights for me, probably because I didn't know anything about them in advance and was just blown away. Thanks again to Dylan and to Bindlestiff!

This was truly an amazing Experience!! Our Drive and Guides were amazing!! The accommodations were very Good.
Western USA National Parks Loop
One of the best group trips I have ever been on. Rene was absolutely fantastic! Zion national park, Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon are absolutely amazing places to visit. Photos can not do justice to the sheer magnificent beauty. Our group was amazing, friendly, fun, always on time and ages 30s-60s. The accommodations were sufficient and the hikes were manageable even for someone like myself who is not the most physically fit. I would suggest arriving a day or 2 early in Vegas or staying the night you return to get the most out of the experience. The Hoover dam is not included but there are short day trips from Vegas that cover this area which is definitely worthwhile. The days were long but there was sufficient rest at night to cope with some of the early morning wake up times. Which was WELL worth it!! Seeing the Grand Canyon at sunset was a sight I will never forget. If I can give 10 stars I would. This was my first intrepid trip and I have to say it won’t be the last. Even though we were unable to kayak lake Powell because time of year, we saw antelope canyon which was quite spectacular. Monument valley was also an experience to remember. If you have the opportunity to go, do it! You won’t regret one minute!

Mighty 5 From Las Vegas
This trip was amazing. This was a bucket list trip for my daughter and I. From the beginning when we met our tour guide, Dave showater to the end. Dave was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and did fantastic driving and picked fantastic restaurants along the way. I would highly recommend this trip. The parks were excellent.

Magnificent West - 7 Days
Wir waren eine kleine Gruppe Die Organisation war gut Die Unterkünfte auch Es wurde viel Trinkwasser verteilt Die Reiseleiter, insbesondere Eduardo, fand ich sehr informativ und sachlich.
Mighty 5 From Salt Lake City
I would like to add that the communication between tour radar and us was poor. No notice of change of first night hotel was passed on to us and the start n finish dates are not discussed AT all. It is really a 6 day tour not 8 day tour as advertised. Other than that Southwest Tours were fantastic it was tour radar that let us down.
Majestic Alaska (10 Days)
The trip was a once in a lifetime experience with so much packed into just a few days. There are some things that I thought should have been done differently but overall the trip was amazing.

Nature's Best: Alaska
Our Tour guide, Wayne, was fantastic! He went above and beyond; to make sure we were comfortable on the bus and on the tours! He also got us as close as he could when there were animal sightings! Lane, our driver, was also an excellent driver; and he kept us safe on the narrow and winding Mountain roads! Hats off to these two!
Spectacular Alaska!
The tour itself was fabulous. Tour guide and driver were both awesome and the sights were majestic. The food however the first few days was lacking.
What people love about USA Tours
Everything was great organized, our CEO Megan was so kind and well prepared.
We thoroughly enjoyed the 7-day tour of the US southwest . We love the destinations included in the tour, every place we visited is on our bucket list. I wanted to pinch myself every day that I visited those iconic and beautiful places as shown in my photos below. We enjoyed all the extra, optional experiences that were suggested by the tour guide. They added more fun to the tour. The Hummer tour in Moab, Utah was one of the optional experiences and it was a blast! Not only it’s fun, you get to see the amazing scenery during the sunset. One previous review mentioned he or she was forced to participate in the Navajo taco dinner in Monument Valley. That comment is not true. You have a choice not to do that and the guide can make a different arrangement for you. The optional Navajo taco dinner is one of the highlights of the tour that we will remember for a long time. It would be a shame not to have this cultural experience when you get to meet Navajo people when you are in the Navajo Nation! Our tour guide, John did a fantastic job. He was full of enthusiasm and energy. He kept the tour well organized and always provided information we needed. We highly recommend the tour.
Great adventure trip. Guide Joseph is personable and attentive to the needs and quirks of each traveler. His extensive knowledge of the region's geology, history, animals and plant life enhanced our incredible trip. He gave us recommendations for hikes commensurate with individual abilities in Zion and Bryce Canyon national Parks. Joseph led hikes in the spectacular Arches and Canyonlands National Parks where we spent 2 nights in Moab, Utah. Some of our group chose to relax in Moab on the second day, while the rest of the group hiked different trails for more amazing views. Next were the stunning views of Monument Valley and Navajo Nation followed by a snowy Grand Canyon. Optional side trips: Antelope Canyon should not be missed. The Navajo taco dinner was tasty and informative. The hummer tour was unremarkable. Unfortunately, weather grounded the Grand Canyon helicopters.

Take a lesson from Trump when the next solar eclipse happens in April
File this under what not to do during a solar eclipse.
Jack Roskopp , Digital Content Editor, Graham Media Group
Former President Donald Trump may be a lot of things, but I think everyone can agree that he is someone who doesn’t like to follow the rules.
That was never more adamant than when he decided to take a glance at the sun during the last solar eclipse that happened when he was president back in August of 2017. In his defense, he looked up for just a moment without glasses on, but that was enough to make the image of him an infamous one.
Recommended Videos
I am certainly no expert as solar eclipses, but if there was one thing I remember from the last eclipse, it was to make sure not to stare directly at the sun. That’s why everyone got special eclipse sunglasses for the occasion.
It obviously isn’t the end of the world if you look at the eclipse without some protection over your eyes, but it’s definitely not recommended. Just like looking at the bright sun on any other normal day, sunglasses are always the way to go!
So leave it to Trump to ignore any kind of advice whatsoever as he stepped outside of the White House on that late August day and his eyes peered up to the sky to see the eclipse.
The images of Trump looking at the eclipse immediately went viral, with many pointing out that this is a prime example of what not to do during an eclipse. For the record, there are images of him wearing special eclipse glasses, but of course the images of him without them made traction on the internet.
It will be interesting to see if Trump makes the same mistake when the total solar eclipse makes its way across America on April 8.
So for old time’s sake, let’s take a look back at photos of Trump starring at the eclipse back in 2017. Oh, how different life was back then, right?

3 Farewell Tours That Weren’t The End After All
A h, farewell tours. They don’t usually stick, do they? It seems like each and every year there’s a whole lineup of big-name artists who announce that they are kicking off final farewell tours, only to come back the next year with an even more final-er farewell tour.
While the finality of farewell tours rarely sticks, there have been a few career-ending tours that fans really, really didn’t want to happen, and some that seemed far too premature. And luckily, those artists decided to continue their careers instead of ending. Let’s look at three instances of farewell tours that weren’t the end after all!
1. Elton John, 1977
Can you imagine an alternate universe where Elton John’s career ended in 1977? It was almost part of our reality when the English singer and pianist announced his final show at Wembley Empire Pool in London.
While performing, John told the crowd that very night would be the last show of his career. He noted: “There’s a lot more to me than playing on the road and this is the last one I’m going to do.”
Luckily, his career didn’t end there. He took two years off and returned to music after dealing with his drug abuse issues, according to The Rocket Man himself.

2. Motley Crue, 2014
This is one of those farewell tours that weren’t the end that wasn’t that surprising. Back in 2014, the famed glam metal band announced their final tour. The last show of their careers was meant to be at Staples Center in Los Angeles in 2015. According to Nikki Stix, it was because of him.
“Legally, we can’t play again,” the bassist had said at the time. “The only loophole is if all four band members agreed to do it, we could override our own contract. But we know that will never happen. There are people in this band who will refuse to ever do it again, and you’re talking to one of them. There is no amount of money that would ever make me do it again because I have such pride in how we’re ending it.
Motley Crue did take six years off from touring. However, they reunited again to capitalize off of their Netflix documentary The Dirt . They’re still touring today, albeit with some drama .

3. Ozzy Osbourne, 1992
Black Sabbath icon Ozzy Osbourne quite comically announced the No More Tours Tour back in 1992. The final performance of his career would be at Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, California. On the subject, Osbourne had said that he was exhausted, wanted to enjoy his home and car, and wanted to spend more time with his family.
Osbourne took three years off, and in 1994 made his return to the music industry with a simple statement: “Retirement sucked.” Now, he’s officially retired .

Moscow metro tour: architectural styles of the subway.
Duration: 2 hours
Categories: Culture & History, Sightseeing
This metro tour of Russia’s capital and most populous city, Moscow, is your chance to get a unique insight into the beautiful and impressive architecture of the city's underground stations. Admire their marble walls and high ceilings representing Stalin's desire for glory after World War 2, and see first-hand how the interiors change with the rise of new political eras. Your guide will lead you through the complex network, which is one of the most heavily used rapid transit systems worldwide, with over two billion travelers in 2011.
Opened in 1935, Moscow’s underground system, now 190 miles (305 km) long with 185 stations, is today one the largest and most heavily used rapid transit systems in the world. On this Moscow metro tour, discover the impressive architecture of Moscow’s underground stations and learn how they reflect the Soviet era.
Getting around by metro, your local guide will take you through parts of Moscow’s infamous history. Stop at stations built during the time of the USSR (Soviet Union) that are praised as one of the most extravagant architectural projects from Stalin’s time. After World War 2, he was keen on establishing Stalinist architecture to represent his rising regime and a recognized empire. Learn how when his successor started the de-Stalinization of the former Soviet Union in 1953, the extravagancy of the architecture was toned down.
Discover how the unique character of each station reflected several different eras. While stations like Kievskaya and Slavyansky Bulvar have pompous halls and high stucco ceilings brimming with extravagant decorations, those built later, like Volzhskaya, are lightly adorned with sparse furnishings. Architect Alexey Dushkin and painter Alexander Deyneka were just two of the many artists who made these magnificent landmarks possible.
Revel in Moscow's glory days, as well as the years of scarcity, on this fascinating Moscow metro experience. Conclude your tour at one of the central stations in Moscow. If you're lucky, you may even find the secret entrance to the unconfirmed Metro-2, a parallel underground system used by the government -- a mystery which has neither been denied nor confirmed today.

Culture Shock Rating
We have a wide range of tours designed to give you an insight into the destination you're travelling in and there is something for everybody. The culture shock ratings considers the destination visited, transport used, activities undertaken and that "Wow, I'm really not at home now!" factor. While generalisations are always tricky, a summary of our gradings is as follows…
This is the least confronting of our tour range. Transport used on the trip is either private or a very comfortable public option, the activities included are usually iconic sites and locations that are not all too confronting.
The tour can include a mix of private and public transport providing a level of comfort that is slightly below what you would experience at home. Sites visited are usually iconic sites, tours can also include market visits, visits to communities etc that provide the traveller with a fantastic insight into destination.
Expect to rough it for parts of this tour, whether it's a packed public bus where you are forced to stand, a visit to a local market, a local community, you are sure to have an experience that is very different from what you're used to at home.
The comforts of your home town and the environment you are used to are more of a rarity. Expect some challenging transport options, visits to local sites and areas that don't resemble anything at home.
You're out there in the global community! You are likely to be exposed to the elements, travel in whatever means of transport is available and basically take it as it comes, whatever comes! It can be tough.
Physical Rating
Our physical rating gives you an idea of how much huffing and puffing you can expect on the tour. While generalisations are always tricky, a summary of our gradings is as follows…
These tours have very limited physical activity. Usually climbing in and out of the transport provided, walking through sites, markets etc included in the itinerary.
These tours have a bit of physical activity but nothing that should challenge you too much. This could be climbing on and off public transport through to a walk through the destination you're travelling in, they can include walking only tours or a combination of walking and transport.
These tours involve a bit of physical activity from walking up and down hills in the destination you're travelling in or the surrounding areas. Climbing on and off local transport or riding a bike up to 30 kms along predominantly flat terrain or jumping in a kayak for a gentle paddle on flat water.
These Tours will provide you with some solid physical activity. Whether its bike riding, walking, trekking, kayaking or riding on public transport you will need to have a good level of fitness to enjoy this tour.
Be prepared for some serious physical activity. These tours are our most challenging and involve some serious walking, hiking or bike riding. Can involve step climbs by foot or pedal and some challenging public transport options in the destination you are travelling.
Luxury Rating
Some trips are like a stroll on the beach, while others have you trekking alpine passes. Some of you thrive on camping out on the savannah, while others may prefer a hot shower and a comfortable bed in a lodge. Follow the grading systems below to find the right trip for you.
To help you choose the trip that's right for you, we've broken all of our trips down into four service levels. Measuring the comfort level of the accommodation and transport. So whether you're travelling on a budget and want to save money by using public transport, or prefer upgraded accommodation and are happy to pay a little more, then we have a level for you.

Hat-trick of series wins in Australia? R Ashwin says India confident, not complacent
India off-spinner r ashwin said that the tourists won't take australia lightly despite their success in the last two test series down under. india will play a 5-test series from november 22 to january 7 in australia..
Listen to Story
- India will play 5 Tests in Australia from November 22 to January 7
- India have won their last two Test series in Australia
- Ashwin talked up Australia's experienced bowling attack
India off-spinner R Ashwin said the touring side will not take Australia lightly in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series, scheduled to get underway from November 22 in Perth, despite their recent success Down Under. India have not lost a Test series to Australia since 2013-14 and have beaten Australia in Australia in their last two trips - 2018-19, 2020-21. Ashwin said India will make it a point to compete hard, but will not be complacent because of their previous success.
Speaking to Adam Gilchrist and Michael Vaughan in the latest episode of Club Prairie Fire podcast, R Ashwin also opened up about the scheduling of the Test series, saying Australia are getting it underway in Perth to make the start difficult for the tourists.
Cricket Australia confirmed their home summer schedule earlier in the month and revealed the fixtures of the much-anticipated Border-Gavaskar series. India and Australia will play 5 Tests in a series for the first time since the 1991-92 season and the hype around the contest has hit the roof because of India's success Down Under.
'HIGH ON BELIEF'
India have struggled in Perth in the past, winning only once in 5 matches. Even in 2018, when Virat Kohli hit a sensational hundred, India were not able to avoid a defeat. However, in the 2020-21 series, India did not play in the new Perth Stadium where Australia have tasted a lot of success. However, they breached the fortress that was Gabba to produce a sensational 2-1 series win. India fought back from their hammering in Adelaide to win the Test series with a weakened team.
India's tour of Australia 2024-25 Schedule
Second Test at Adelaide Oval in Adelaide - December 6 to 10 (Day-Night)
Third Test at The Gabba in Brisbane - December 14 to 18
Fourth Test at the MCG in Melbourne - December 26 to December 30
