Recent tour reviews

Seether never disappoints, just one hit after another. Rock solid performance.

The venue itself was unfavorable, no seating availabe at all. It was extremely hot and very hard to get shade. Re entry was 10 bucks thats not even fair to ask people to stand 10 hours without being able to go out to rest in their vehicles. Smoking everywhere not confined to one area. And there was a definate need for trash cans!!!!

This was my first concert with Seether and I really enjoyed it. The Huxleys in Berlin is a very cool location. An old theater with much space to mosh and jump.

The opening act with Sons Of Texas was absolutely awesome. Combining metal and the slap bass was just pleasing my ears. Great songs and the power of the band was an amazing opener.

The second opening act didn't even introduced themselves. They were not bad, but after Sons Of Texas their style was more chilly than metal. Kind of a bummer when you we're heated uo by a nice slap bass and frenzy riffs. The effect-tool they used was in one song way to much. The sound technician should have catched that and ease out some highs. They also played metal, but later. It was still good.

Seether was great act. I love the band and their songs. Singing at the top of my lungs and having little left of my voice afterwards, isn't worth mentioning. Seether played some great tracks. The new stuff, classics and was rocking the hall. Even though they hadn't played Careless Whisper, but Broken was stunning. The singer Made a lot pauses between the songs, talking to someone and drinking stuff. That time added up would have been two extra songs. Also the sound technician was probably dozing or staring at girl in the crowd, but he modulated it a bit too much. Also he failed the mics sometimes. You couldn't hear the singer or just barely. Nevertheless, I would go again!

Well the actual show was fantastic. As for the band making a connection with the audience they sucked. They never said Hello Dallas or anything. Not even an encore. The lead singer did say thank you once after a song but that was it. No Glad to see Dallas NOTHING! Was very disappointed in the way they treated us. They played and got off the stage. As for the performance they were robots just playi8ng the song list and get off the stage. This was the 2nd concert for seeing Seether and I don't think I will go see them again.

Since 1999, Staind and Seether have been consistent forces in rock music. Together, both bands combine for nine No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, and have dominated rock radio for two decades. Several of these hits crossed over to pop radio, and charted on the Billboard Hot 100. From 2001 to 2005, Staind released three albums that all hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Beginning with 2005’s Karma and Effect , Seether released four straight albums that all debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200.

Staind are touring in support of their new album, Confessions of the Fallen . The record arrived back on September 22, and it is their first release through their new label, BMG. The long awaited follow-up to the band’s 2011 self-titled LP, Confessions of the Fallen debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart. A pair of singles made their way onto Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart – “Here and Now” and “Lowest in Me,” the latter of which gave Staind their first No. 1 hit since their 2011 song, “Not Again.”

The group recently wrapped up a North American amphitheater run alongside Godsmack.

Seether released their eighth studio album, Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum (If You Want Peace, Prepare for War), back in 2020. Producing three singles, the album cracked the Top 50 on the Billboard 200. All three singles from the record – “Dangerous,” “Bruised and Bloodied,” and “Wasteland” – topped Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. The record was produced by frontman Shaun Morgan.

Saint Asonia recently revealed a new version of their song “Wolf” with a guest appearance from Skillet’s John Cooper. The track is from their 2022 EP,  Extrovert  (Spinefarm). The six-song outing is a companion to their 2018 EP,  Introvert . On December 9, the band will released both EPs in a physical package called  Introvert/Extrovert . The physical recording contains bonus tracks as well.

Craft Recordings has partnered with Seether to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their Gold-selling debut, Disclaimer , with an expanded reissue on vinyl, CD, and digital editions.

Set for release on January 20, 2023 and available for pre-order today, the deluxe 3-LP or 2-CD set includes the original 12-track album (featuring such enduring hits as “Gasoline,” “Fine Again,” and “Driven Under”) plus a previously unreleased live show, captured in its entirety at New Hampshire’s Hampton Beach Casino in 2003. Rounding out the bonus content on Disclaimer (Deluxe Edition) is a rare 2002 live acoustic cover of Nirvana’s “Something in the Way,” which was first issued as a B-side.

The 3-LP edition is housed in a deluxe triple gatefold jacket, while both physical formats also include new liner notes from Katherine Turman, an acclaimed music journalist, producer, and co-author of Louder Than Hell: The Definitive Oral History of Metal .

Formed in Pretoria, South Africa, in 1999, Seether (originally named Saron Gas) instantly hooked fans at home with their blend of alt-metal, grunge, and heart-on-sleeve lyricism. At the turn of the millennium, not long after releasing the South Africa-only Fragile , the band (originally consisting of vocalist and guitarist Shaun Morgan, bassist Dale Stewart and drummer Dave Cohoe) caught the ears of Wind-Up Records, who brought the trio to the US to record their international debut.

In the whirlwind weeks between pre-production in New York City and recording in Los Angeles, the band gained a new name (borrowing their permanent moniker from Veruca Salt’s 1994 alt-rock hit) and lost a drummer, when Cohoe chose to return home. As the band auditioned new drummers, veteran musician Josh Freese (The Vandals, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails) stepped in to lend his talents in the studio.

Over the next four months, Seether recorded new material, plus seven selects from Fragile , with producer Jay Baumgardner (Bush, Shinedown, Papa Roach). Several songs dated back to Morgan’s teenage years, including the brooding “Fine Again,” written after his parent’s divorce. “69 Tea,” meanwhile, was one of Morgan’s earliest compositions as well as the band’s first single in South Africa.

Throughout the run, various bands will provide support, varying per date, including the metalcore groups I Prevail, Asking Alexandria, Dayseeker, and Sleep Theory, the heavy-rockers of Seether, and the ’70s-style glam rockers of The Struts. Grunge-rock’s Aryon Jones, country’s Tim Montana, rock artist Austin Meade, and the all-female rocker group Plush will round out the bill at select shows.

Staind released their eighth studio album, Confessions of the Fallen, in September. This marks the band’s first studio record since 2011’s self-titled. This time around, frontman Aaron Lewis told Blabbermouth that he wanted to “modernize the sound and bring us up to date.”

“You can certainly recognize the band but at the same time you can hear that we’ve been paying attention and understand what kind of sounds and approaches we can use that maybe weren’t around the last time we did this,” Lewis said.

Staind first arrived on the scene in 1995, garnering attention in the early 2000s with hits like “It’s Been Awhile,” “So Far Away,” and “Everything Changes.”

Maren Morris announces 'RSVP Redux' tour

March 21 (UPI) -- Maren Morris is going on tour in 2024.

The 33-year-old singer-songwriter announced the RSVP Redux tour on Thursday.

Morris was originally to launch the RSVP tour in 2020 but canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The tour will now begin May 29 in San Francisco and run through July 31 in Sandpoint, Idaho. Morris said there are "more dates to come."

Betty Who will join as a special guest on select dates.

Tickets go on sale March 29 at 10 a.m. local time, with pre-sales to begin March 26 at 10 a.m.

"the tour that never was, gets a 2024 redux. playing the fan club shows last year made me realize how much I missed the intimate venues and having fun dusting off some deep cuts. I didn't want to stop, so we are carrying the spirit of those shows to slightly bigger rooms where more people can join us," Morris wrote on Instagram.

Morris released the EP The Bridge in September 2023 after announcing she was leaving the world of country music.
