Trip Itinerary

Day 1: depart from los angeles (lax), day 2: cross the international date line, day 3: nadi, viti levu.

During the first day on the largest of the islands in the Fijian Archipelago, Viti Levu, we’ll spend the afternoon at Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park. The grey, windswept dunes have been formed over millions of years at the mouth of the Sigatoka River. We’ll shake off jet lag with a leisurely walk along the trails where it’s not uncommon to stumble across pieces of the past—archaeological excavations have uncovered pottery more than 2,600 years old! The walking trails lead to a beautiful beach where we’ll relax, swim, and get acquainted with slow island life. That evening, we’ll head back to our beautiful resort right on the beach to capture our first incredible South Pacific sunset.

DAYS 4 – 11: YASAWA ISLANDS

Next is Nacula Island, one of the northern-most destinations in the Yasawa Island chain. Here, over the next several days, we’ll come to know the true meaning of Yasawa which means “heaven in Fijian and settle into “Fiji time,” a point of local pride. According to natives, Fiji time is a wonderful sensation of minutes turning into hours and hours feeling like days—of slowing down and living in the present moment.

We’ll complete important community restoration projects. You’ll create rewarding bonds with the Fijian students as you coordinate playground games, swap stories, and teach each other about your different cultures. In addition to service, immerse yourself in the Fijian lifestyle: prepare an authentic lovo ( a delicious Fijian feast cooked in an earthen oven), participate in a traditional kava ceremony to prepare the country’s national drink, and learn Fijian songs and dances.

Once our service projects are finished, we’ll travel to Drawaqa Island or Barefoot Island. This idyllic isle is one of the best places in the world to snorkel among coral gardens with majestic, graceful manta rays. Listen for the village drum which announces the return of the mantas during high tides. After a day of manta safaris, relax on the perfect white sand, listen to the gentle sound of the waves lapping the shore and soak in the sunset.

Our final Yasawa Island destination, Waya Lai Lai, has the tallest peak of any of the islands we will visit. An early morning wake up call for a sunrise hike to the second-tallest peak reaps huge rewards when you take in the 30-mile panoramic view. After breakfast, experts will guide us off-shore to swim with reef sharks—the ultimate adrenaline-pumping adventure!

DAYS 12 – 13: NADI, VITI LEVU

We complete our adventure in Fiji at Nadi where the final two days of our trip is filled with exciting activities. Get your heart racing on a thrilling zip-line adventure through jungles, caves, and mountaintops. Enjoy a day at the mud baths where we’ll slather ourselves head-to-toe in nutrient-rich mud then rinse off and relax in the invigorating natural hot springs.

After over two incredible weeks together it will be time to say goodbye to the friendly Fijians, but the memories we made together will last a lifetime!

"Just wow! We have used another group, but the rigor of the process and operations here was excellent. Daniel loved the service work, scuba class, swimming with manta rays, and the counselors were amazing. He can't stop talking about what a great experience it was. The kids bonded and had so much fun. The leaders were amazing, extremely positive, full of energy and seemed to really care that the kids had a meaningful experience. His stories of his other travels truly inspired my son to keep exploring and learning - THANK YOU!!!!" Diana M. Huntsville, AL
"We are so glad that we found TFT. Our child has reported that he’s had experiences of a lifetime on every single trip. The counselors are fantastic and really demonstrate positive, appropriate young adult behaviors and have been fantastic role models. Our child’s confidence has improved during each trip. We appreciate that kindness and mindfulness are components of the group expectations and dynamics. Thank you Steve and Wendy and all the TFT staff!!!" Ellen D. Alexandria, VA
"I have traveled with TFT for four summers now, exploring Costa Rica, Croatia, Fiji and Greece. These trips have been the highlight of my summers. They have broadened my horizons and strengthened my confidence. Going on these trips and meeting new people changed how I view the world. I love having conversations with locals and people I meet along the way. The small TFT groups and the knowledgeable and enthusiastic group leaders make for a fun and eye-opening experience. What sets TFT apart is that we immerse ourselves in the culture and we are not just tourists. We meet locals, hear stories about their lives, and it is truly invigorating. Travel For Teens has given me so much more than fun memories over the summer. They have given me the ability to be comfortable talking to anyone, being in new places, having a widened perspective on other cultures, and to be independent. On my Costa Rica and Fiji trips, we volunteered with school children. In a very short time we made deep connections that I will always cherish. I feel so fortunate to have had my eyes opened through TFT to so many beautiful places and memorable people." Anna F. Basking Ridge, NJ

Frequently Asked Questions

See All FAQs

What is unique about the Fiji Service & Adventure trip?

Our Fiji Service & Adventure is a community service program with the local school is something we are very proud of, having formed a wonderful relationship after returning to volunteer there for years. This gives the teens an exclusive all-access pass to form amazing bonds with the students. Year after year there are tears as the teens have to bid fond farewells to their new-found friends.

What kind of teen typically participates in this program? What are the requirements to join?

Our Fiji Service and Adventure teens are from all over the world! Typically, our participants are culturally curious individuals who are excited to make new friends, experience something unique, and interested in stepping out of their comfort zones and expanding their horizons.

This program is exclusively for students who are currently in grades 9th through 12th and approximately 14 to 18 years old. Students living outside of the USA are welcome to join!

What do students like most about the Fiji Service & Adventure trip?

Every year students fall in love with the tropical paradise that is Fiji. Our Fiji Service & Adventure participants love the picturesque white sandy beaches, crystal clear turquoise waters, a huge array of adventure activities both in and out of the water and the legendary Fijian hospitality leave such an impression on the teens they often wish they could stay just one more day!

Where do we stay?

Our hotels are chosen specifically in safe areas and are well suited to facilitating group supervision. We stay in centrally located accommodations, usually within walking distance of the main attractions. We do not use large, impersonal chain hotels on the outskirts of cities; we prefer to select smaller, family-run hotels where we establish personal relationships with the owners.

On the mainland we stay in Nadi Bay at a local beachfront hotel. In the Yasawa Islands we stay at three local rustic resorts, each situated on the water and selected for the amazing activities and famous Fijian hospitality on offer. Please note, these are not Western resorts. They are rustic accommodations with very simple facilities. The properties are naturally beautiful but participants should be prepared for the experience of traveling to an under developed country, especially when traveling there for community service work with underprivileged communities.

For safety reasons, we do not publish the names of the accommodations we use. We do not feel it is safe to publish the name of a hotel where a group of teenagers is staying abroad. After registering, participants and parents are given access to our secure parent website where you will be able to see the names of all of the accommodations for the program.

Do most travelers go on their own?

Yes! In fact, over 75% of students who travel with us choose to come independently. This encourages teens to step further outside their comfort zone and make new friends. We believe that one of the most rewarding and exciting elements of travel is the new friendships that form along the way. When we travel by ourselves, we are bound to make new friends from all over the country and even the world. The best part is, you can travel again with your new friends on another TFT program the next summer!

If you are thinking about joining a TFT program by yourself but you are feeling unsure, please let us know! We have plenty of references from solo travelers who had great experiences and would be happy to chat with you about it.

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely! We ask that if you do come with a friend, you and your friend(s) maintain openness to meeting new people and sharing this special experience with the entire group.

What is included?

Tuition cost includes ground transportation; accommodation; chaperones and guides; program-related activities and admissions; taxes and tips; all breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.

Not included (this is not intended to be an exhaustive list) : airfare; visas and visa application fees; personal and medical expenses; activities and admissions that are not program-related or referenced in the itinerary; beverages other than filtered water at meals; participant expenses that are outside of the program description, such as excess baggage fees and damage to hotels; expenses related to unforeseen circumstances, such as transportation strikes and natural disasters.

How do the optional group flights work?

Upon registration, you will be contacted by our International Logistics Team to discuss the program’s flight details. There is no requirement to take the group flight, but there are several advantages to doing so. The group flight is usually chaperoned by a TFT staff member, and it also offers an opportunity for the students to get to know one another prior to the start of the program. Parents are responsible for coordinating transport to the departure airport – however, the logistics team will send out instructions detailing the exact meeting spot and airport point person. For additional information about flights, visit our dedicated flight page.

What is the average group size?

We pride ourselves on small group sizes to create a more authentic and personalized experience. Our group sizes fall between 13 and 24 students – the perfect size to facilitate new friendships without feeling lost in a crowd! We believe smaller groups eliminate the likelihood of cliques, and allows for a well-rounded, healthy group dynamic.

Who leads the program?

Our staff is a cut above the rest! We seek out two main characteristics in our counselors – extensive knowledge of and experience in our destinations, and a passion for working with teens. Our staff’s backgrounds include living abroad and working in summer camps or other educational settings. Team members are proven leaders and role models, who connect easily with others and form genuine friendships with each student – all while bringing each destination to life.

We celebrate diversity! Our staff represents 49 different nationalities, speak a combined total of 21 languages, and visited 142 countries. Additionally, 80% of our staff lived or worked abroad in their lives. With so many unique experiences to share, you are sure to gain a global perspective.

Our average minimum ratios are one staff member to every seven participants. Each program has one Trip Director with several support staff, depending on the group size. Directors must be at least 25 years old within the calendar year and have prior experience working with TFT.

What are the safety qualifications for our staff?

Our staff members undergo a rigorous hiring process. They receive the same background check as school educators, an extensive training process to go over all safety precautions and protocols, and are required to be certified in CPR and First Aid.  We exclusively hire responsible, multi-talented individuals who are safety-minded and are as passionate about teen travel as we are.

How does this program connect to other programs?

Our program dates are designed specifically so that participants can opt to combine trips throughout the summer.  When connecting to another program, your counselor will escort you to the airport on the last day of the program and assist you in meeting your next group at your new destination.

What is the food like on this program?

In a word – delicious! At TFT, we believe food is an integral aspect of the travel experience, and we make an effort to eat at authentic establishments whenever possible. There is no better way to immerse ourselves in the culture of a place then through sampling the local delicacies. We stray away from westernized restaurants and chains that cater to tourists, because every true traveler knows the best food is found where the locals are eating!

Fijians are amazing chefs, so during the program there is delicious array of dishes, and lots of it! Try a TFT favorite, the local fish and coconut delicacy kokoda, as well as taro and cassava, straight from the steaming lovo, which is a traditional earth oven used for centuries.

Of course, we are always willing and able to accommodate vegetarians, vegans, gluten allergies, and other dietary restrictions.

Do we ever get time to go off on our own?

Our staff and teens are nearly always together, but we do provide the opportunity to break up into smaller groups to allow for flexibility and customization within the itinerary.

We offer free time in defined safe areas – for example, shopping in a market or exploring a museum. During these times, students remain in groups of at least two and are given no more than an hour. Of course, the counselors remain nearby and available. Additionally, a lifeguard-certified counselor supervises the campers any time they are involved in water activities.

Do I need to bring anything special for the community service portion of the program?

Due to the nature of our service work in the local village, all you’ll need are clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.

A more detailed packing list will be provided upon registration.

Do I need anything special for the scuba diving portion of the program?

All students participating in dives during our Fiji programs are required to have dive insurance. Many health insurance policies already cover this and so do some homeowners policies. We recommend that you check with these first in case you already have coverage.

We recommend using this website to find the best insurance policy for your teen.

Do I need any vaccinations for this program?

We recommend checking with your family doctor regarding vaccinations and medical advice for the destination you are visiting. For more information, please check the World Health Organization’s website . Upon registration, we provide a list of recommended vaccinations that can be discussed further with your doctor. For Specific questions pertaining to the COVID-19 vaccine, click here .

What kind of visa do you need for this trip?

Any US citizen that enters Fiji is automatically granted a free four-month tourist visa.

When joining a TFT trip from outside of the US, please be sure to check your country’s specific visa requirements.

Do I need to speak the language?

No, our skilled staff members will help you get around and even teach you a few fun phrases!

Unforgettable Fiji

Exploring the world:, benefits for school students on an overseas school trip to fiji.

Overseas school trips are a rite of passage for students in Australia and New Zealand, offering them unique opportunities for learning and personal growth. While such excursions are often designed to be fun and educational, taking students on an overseas school trip to a destination like Fiji can be especially transformative. In this blog post, we’ll explore the numerous benefits of sending school students on an adventure to the beautiful islands of Fiji.

Cultural Enrichment

One of the most significant advantages of an overseas school trip to Fiji is the exposure to a rich and diverse culture. Fiji is home to a blend of indigenous Fijian, Indo-Fijian, and other ethnic groups, making it a perfect place for students to learn about cultural diversity. Students can engage with locals, participate in traditional ceremonies, and immerse themselves in the customs and traditions of the Fijian people. This first-hand experience will expand their cultural horizons and foster an appreciation for the diversity of the world.

Environmental Awareness

Fiji’s stunning natural beauty, including its crystal-clear waters, lush rainforests, and vibrant marine life, offers an ideal backdrop for students to learn about environmental conservation. An overseas school trip to Fiji can include activities such as snorkeling, exploring coral reefs, and hiking through pristine landscapes. Through these experiences, students gain a deeper understanding of the importance of protecting the environment and learn about the effects of climate change on island nations.

Team Building and Leadership

Traveling to a foreign country with their peers encourages students to work as a team, adapt to new environments, and develop leadership skills. They will need to collaborate, solve problems, and support each other during the trip. These experiences not only enhance their interpersonal skills but also help build self-confidence and independence. Learning to navigate a foreign culture and environment promotes adaptability and resilience.

Global Perspective

An overseas school trip to Fiji offers students a global perspective that extends beyond the classroom. It allows them to apply what they’ve learned in a real-world context, fostering a deeper understanding of global issues, such as poverty, sustainability, and social justice. This newfound perspective can inspire students to become more informed and engaged global citizens.

Personal Growth

Traveling to Fiji presents students with numerous challenges and opportunities for personal growth. They may encounter language barriers, unfamiliar foods, and new modes of transportation. These experiences can push them out of their comfort zones, helping them develop problem-solving skills and a greater sense of self-reliance. Students often return from such trips with increased self-awareness and a sense of accomplishment.

Cultural Sensitivity and Empathy

Experiencing a different culture firsthand encourages students to develop cultural sensitivity and empathy. They learn to appreciate the similarities and differences between their own culture and that of the Fijian people. This can lead to greater tolerance and understanding, helping students become more open-minded and inclusive individuals.

An overseas school trip to Fiji can be a life-changing experience for students. It offers them the chance to explore a new culture, learn about environmental conservation, and develop important life skills such as teamwork, leadership, and adaptability. Moreover, these experiences can shape students into more globally aware and culturally sensitive individuals. When students return from such a trip, they bring back more than just memories; they bring back a broader perspective and a deeper understanding of the world around them. So, when exploring overseas opportunities for your students, consider Fiji for an unforgettable and enriching experience.

Seeing the emotions of the Kindergarten Teacher when we gave them gifts was amazing! Something so little to us was life-changing for the village.” Teacher – Downlands College “The staff and students of The Glennie School had an amazing cultural and sporting tour to Fiji organised by Student Horizons. Our students had fun, were always safe, it was well organised and having our own logistics director is a dream. Our goal was for our girls to have fun whilst playing sport as well as being immersed in the Fijian culture. The girls came back full of gratitude for their lives and for the experiences that they had. This would not have happened without all the work that was done by you guys. Much thanks.” Teacher – The Glennie School

Village Tours

Customs & etiquette.

When holidaying in Fiji and participating in tours to Fijian villages it is important to understand the rules and customs that apply when you are in these Fijian villages. Fijians are known as the friendliest people in the world and it is important that you understand and respect our customs and traditions when visiting Fijian villages.

On arrival at a Fijian village it is customary to present a gift of Kava (Yaqona), the gift, called a sevusevu, is not expensive - 100 grams and costs approximately $10 fjd. The Kava  is presented to the head of the village or family that you are visiting. The presentation is usually in the house and will generally be attended by some of the other Fijians who happen to be in the vicinity at the time. Pounded into powder, the Kava will be mixed with water and served.

Village Tour Etiquette:

Dress modestly when away from the immediate vicinity of your resort or hotel and Always carry a sulu (sarong, lavalava, pareu) to cover bathing togs or shorts and halter tops. You Holiday Tour Guide will be able to assist you with this. Villages will sell sarongs that you can wrap around your legs these are usually $10fjd ($6AUD), this raises money for the local people.

When on tour in Fiji it can be considered to be rude to touch someone’s head.

Villages will also offer you food such as coconunts, this comes at a cost usually $5fjd ($3AUD), this raises money for the local people.

Women on holiday tours in Fiji must wear a Sulu when visiting the village.

Please avoid wearing hats while in the village. They are interpreted as a sign of disrespect.

If possible remove your shoes before entering any house or other building while on a village tour.

While on your Fiji village tour try and stay with your assigned host. If other villagers ask you to eat or accompany them, politely note that you are with your host and would be honored to visit with them at some other time. Remember, it is customary for all indigenous Fijians to invite you  to join them for a meal. You can politely decline by saying Vinaka!! (VeenahCar)which simply means Thank You!!

Eating and drinking.

Being an island in the South Pacific region, seafood plays a big part in the local cuisine. Locally grown produce mainly consists of root vegetables and tropical fruits. Coconut is a key ingredient across many dishes and Indo-Fijian influences are evident in cooking across the archipelago.

Foods to try in Fiji

Think of this as a Fijian-style ceviche. The dish uses raw fish soaked in lemon or lime juice and is served with a combination of onions, chilies, peppers and tomatoes.

2. Fijian curry

Indian influences are evident in the cuisine with a variety of curries seen all over the islands. They're typically made with coconut milk, tomatoes and a combination of local fruit and vegetables such as plantain. Curries are served with roti or dahl.

This traditional Fijian dish is made from taro leaves that are cooked or stewed in coconut milk. It's often served on the side with freshly cooked fish.

Lovo is a traditional style of cooking similar to  New Zealand ’s hangi. Meats and vegetables are wrapped in banana leaves and buried in a hole to cook for several hours over coals.

If you like seafood, you may be tempted to try the local delicacy of cawaki, or sea urchin. It's popular in coastal towns and villages but you'll also find them in city markets. They can be eaten raw or cooked.

6. Palusami

This dish comprises parcels of corned beef, onion, garlic and coconut cream wrapped and steamed in taro leaves. Other South Pacific nations like Samoa have their own take on this dish.

Culture and customs

Fijians are known for their welcoming hospitality and truly live up to this reputation. Interactions are met with a smile and curiosity is the norm, making you feel like an honored guest in the most far-reaching places of the islands.

Fiji’s population is made up of a rich cultural mix of native Fijians at around 57 percent and Indo-Fijians make up 37 percent of the population. This means the archipelago is a blend of Melanesian and Indian influences. Indigenous Fijians maintain both traditional cultural practices and strong Christian values with more than half identifying to the faith.

Approximately 34 percent of the Indian-Fijian community is Hindu and 7 percent practice Islam. One of the most noticeable cultural practices is the act of drinking kava (yanggona) which is consumed as part of ceremonies as well as being a welcoming gesture to guests in communities.

Festivals and events in Fiji

Hibiscus festival.

A nine-day event held in Suva on the main island of Viti Levu each August. The Hibiscus Festival has been running for more than 50 years and is a community celebration bringing together traditional music, food stalls and the crowning of the ‘Hibiscus Queen’ (as part of the island’s beauty pageant).

Bula Festival

Much like the Hibiscus Festival, this event is held in Nadi on the western side of Viti Levu and goes on for a week. The word ‘bula’ means ‘welcome’ or ‘hello’ and is a common gesture of greeting used in most parts of Fiji. Authentic Fijian cuisine is served up as part of the event and visitors are encouraged to join the festivities.

South Indian Fire Walking Festival

This extraordinary spectacle is held between July and August. The event attracts large numbers from the local Hindu community to Suva Point. The ceremony involves Hindu priests and devotees piercing the tongue and cheeks before walking across hot coals. The event signifies the end of 10 days of abstinence to worship the goddess Maha Devi.

Lautoka Sugar Festival

Lautoka is known as the sugar capital of Fiji, situated on the west coast of Viti Levu, it’s the second biggest city (after Suva). Sugar cane holds large economic value for the country. The festival is held over a week in September and is another community celebration that brings in locals from throughout the islands to take part.

Geography and environment

Fiji is an archipelago in the South Pacific scattered with around 300 islands and 540 islets. The country is approximately a five hours’ flight from the east coast of Australia. The interior of the main island is made up of thick jungle terrain, bursting with waterfalls and large winding rivers. The rich volcanic soil creates an ideal environment to grow crops of coconuts, ginger, kava, bananas, cassava and breadfruit. More than half of Fiji’s population live in major towns along the coast, either in Suva, Lautoka and Nadi on the island of Viti Levu.

Best time to visit

Thanks to its tropical climate, Fiji is a year-round destination with warm temperatures (it rarely dips below 20°C) and plenty of sunshine throughout the year. That said, the best time to visit for optimal weather – think blue skies and little rain – is during the dry season which runs from May to October. Traveling in the shoulder months is also a good option as the weather isn't too wet and there aren't as many tourists.

The monsoon season runs from November to April, and while this is considered to be the off-season, it's a great time to explore without big crowds (excluding the festive season which sees a spike in tourists). Just bear in mind that the weather is hot and humid, and torrential (but brief) downpours are common. There’s also the possibility of cyclones.

Learn more about the best time to visit Fiji

Many resorts in Fiji have onsite gift and souvenir shops, but we recommend heading to a local market to peruse the stalls and get to know the locals. They're a great place to find handmade art and crafts, traditional food and general souvenirs.

It's a good idea to check with your local customs officials to ensure that you are permitted to bring certain items into your home country. Australia and New Zealand generally have strict quarantine laws.

Here are some items you may like to buy in Fiji:

1. Coconut shells

From smooth and polished serving bowls to elaborately painted decorations, coconut shells have many purposes!

2. Tapa cloth

Tapa is a traditional Fijian textile painting on barkcloth from the mulberry tree. All materials are organic, including the dyes which are extracted from plants, herbs and charcoal.

Fijian pearls are known around the world for their rare colors and beauty. Why not take a slice of paradise home with you and treat yourself, or buy some jewelry for someone special.

4. Bula shirt

Who doesn't love a brightly colored shirt? Bula shirts are a clothing staple for men in Fiji and the wider South Pacific. They're fun, versatile and will lift your spirits if you're feeling those post-holiday blues.

Many guests visiting Royal Davui find that going on  a local Fijian village tour is one of the most enlightening and enjoyable experiences you can have whilst in Fiji. Not only do you experience the untouched beauty of Fiji ‘off the beaten path’, but a true highlight is the opportunity to meet local Fijian village members and delight in the joy of the children as they welcome you through their village.

A TYPICAL FIJI VILLAGE TOUR

As you stroll through the local village you’ll be welcomed with open arms. You’ll be surrounded with the cries of ‘Bula !’ from excited children as they run to greet you. Some villagers still live in the traditional ‘bures’ and rely on planting crops and farming for their daily food needs.

A tour from Royal Davui will generally consist of a  sevusevu  ‘welcome ceremony’ led by the Village chief or leader. Following this your guide will take you for a detailed tour of the village, taking in every detail of the village way of life. This will include their homes, church, common meeting house and the water tanks that Royal Davui built for the community. The water tanks mean that local villagers no longer need to walk for miles to access fresh water.

Without a doubt, a highlight of the tour is the local school house that Royal Davui built for the community some years ago. Not only can you watch a new generation of Fijians being educated, but you’ll surrounded by local children who will happily show you everything there is to know about their village.

WHAT TO KEEP IN MIND FOR YOUR FIJIAN VILLAGE TOUR

  • Fijian schools are run on small budgets, are generally very small and have limited access to supplies. If you can, bring along some educational supplies to donate to the school. You can be assured they will be gratefully received and put to good use!
  • Avoid bringing candy or lollies of any kind. Small Fijian villages often struggle with dental hygiene, so donations of toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss will be well received!
  • When entering the local community or meeting hall, leave your shoes at the door and take off your cap or hat. When seated, cross your legs if possible as a sign of respect to others.
  • When partaking in a Kava Ceremony, your Royal Davui guide will outline the general expectations and ritual so you know what to expect and how to respond.

A local Fiji village day trip will be one that will stay in your heart for years to come.

The following link has information on how to arrange visits to a village/school orphanage.

http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g294335-i885-k3222378-How_to_arrange_to_visit_a_school_or_orphanage_in_Fiji-Nadi_Viti_Levu.html

It is not required, but take some school supplies: pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, pencil sharpeners, crayons, etc., if you can. We have also taken reading glasses, first aid kits, toothbrushes, books, and clothes.. Besides taking necessities, we also like to take something fun for the children. Have taken funky sunglasses & jewelry, yo's yo's, jump ropes, kites, blow horns, frisbies, and postcards of where we live. The children really enjoyed seeing another part of the world.

Anything you take will be greatly appreciated more than you know. The following link has other suggestions of what to take with you.

Hope this helps.
