Radreisen: Bewegend besser unterwegs

A great way to start the week

I spent a week in Moscow with a friend and we wanted to get a good overview of the city on the first stay, which we got with the bike tour. The tour was worth every penny we paid for it. We started at midday right on time and the tour ended at about 7 pm with a lunch break. We got to see the main sights of the city and since we booked a private tour we could stop anywhere we wanted, to take pictures, to visit a couple of monasteries... Our guide, Nadia, was very nice, she knew many stories about many things we got to see, recommended more things we could do during our stay, restaurants we could go to, good Russian or Soviet movies we should watch... We had a great time. I would highly recommend this tour.

The tour was everyting and more than what we expected. Vado is a very frienly and knowledgeable person. He speaks fluent english with a lot of humor. We covered the whole city in 6 hours, had a lovely lunch at an old soviet diner. I would definately advice any person who visits Moscow to do the cycling tour on their first or second day. Thanks Vado for a great day well spend!

Moscow can be overwhelming with the number of must-see places, but five hours of cycling allows you to cover many spots, accompanied with Vado's colorful stories. In fact, he tweaked the tour to accommodate my interests (and also helped me buy souvenirs for great prices!). Highly recommended!

An excellent way to see the main sights of Moscow. The route is surprisingly nearly all off road, and therefore safe and is mainly flat so easy for most people to manage. The guide (Nadya) is really friendly and relaxed - happy to stop at any coffee/snack places you want along the way and very knowledgable. There is one steep part and you are out for about 6 hours so a certain level of fitness is required but a very fun way to see the city. You do not get to go into places so for more detailed visits you would have to go back, but after this initial tour it would help you decide easily what you want to go back to. I would never have thought Moscow was so easy to get around by bike!

We booked a parks&nature tour. Vado was our tourguide, although he showed up a bit late he texted he was late and compensated the time by extending the tour. Parks&nature tour shows you a beautiful part of Moscow. Vado knows a lot about all the places and statues we visited. He also made a lot of pictures which was nice! We had a great time during this tour and would recommend it to anyone who would visit Moscow!

We did a private tour with Vado that lasted well over 6 hours. It was just fantastic. We saw so much and went to places we would never have found on our own. Vado had worked out what we wanted and got it exactly right. While it was long it was not too hard as it's mostly flat, and mostly off the road, on cycle paths, footpaths, through parks, or on vehicle-free roads. We stopped for coffee, lunch, a glass of delicious Kvass and a snack at the market in the park. Vado took some really good photos which we received almost immediately after the tour. He was an excellent guide, full of information and fun to be with. We absolutely loved it all and highly recommend it as a great way to see a bit of the 'real' Moscow.

Pedal Boat Amsterdam

Rent a canal bike and explore the city from the water

Pedal boats have been - and still are! - Amsterdam’s top attraction since 1984. No wonder in the number one cycling city of the world. On a pedal boat (also called canal bike or paddle boat) you easily and safely navigate through the canals at your own pace and squeeze in a little exercise while you’re at it. Book your tickets here today and explore Amsterdam from the water!

What is the best thing with renting a pedal boat?

There are so many ways to discover the city. By a one-hour canal cruise, a bike tour or by foot. Another truly unique way to explore the Dutch capital is by pedal boat.

  • You decide the pace of your entire journey – and that’s exactly what you’re looking for on a day off or a holiday, right?
  • The pedal boat is emission-free! Which makes this a cool green alternative.
  • Amsterdam as seen from the water is beautiful. You’ll find out why the canal ring is on the UNESCO World Heritage list as soon as you start your trip.
  • You’re being really active, while still sitting. It’s the best combination of a little bodily activity and a lot of sightseeing!
  • Cruising down the canals on a paddle boat is straight up fun!

It is fun and easy to hire a pedal boat

You can rent a pedal boat from 11 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon (the last departure will be at 4 o’clock, so you’re able to cruise the canals after that, still). Closing times may vary due to weather predictions or special holidays.

Choose pedal boating for an hour or and you have plenty of time to enjoy the city, take it easy and soak in all the architecture and allure of the city you’ll find along the way.

You can rent one pedal boat with a  maximum of four people 1 household per pedal boat.

If you would like to rent 3 pedal boats or more, please contact our sales department: [email protected] or call us at +31 20 217 0501

Pedal Rolls Out Portland Pot Tour

Guests purchasing pot on October 1st.

With recreational marijuana now legal in the state, Pedal Bike Tours is giving guests the chance to pull back the curtain on Oregon’s thriving marijuana industry with the launch of the state’s first cannabis-centered tour, the Portland Pot Tour.

Did you know hemp was one of the Willamette Valley’s first commercial crops? The Portland Pot Tour covers how Oregon’s fortunes have long been tied to the cannabis plant, bringing us up to legalization today. So in addition to the fascinating history, riders on the tour will learn the current laws for purchasing and consuming cannabis products, as well as get direct access to some of the finest pot available – and we’ll do it all by bike!

“People are curious about legal weed, and we’re excited to show them what’s happening,” says Pedal Bike Tours owner Todd Roll. “Who knows if this will be the state’s newest tourism draw, but either way, this ride will be pure fun.”

The relaxed 9-mile ride takes riders to some favorite dispensaries, like Canabliss and Gras , as well as legendary head shops like Third Eye Shoppe and Mellow Mood . Guests can browse and shop for the finest locally-grown and organic strains, hand-blown art glass and carved wooden pipes. The tour also includes delicious “pairings” with a couple munchy stops, including ice cream (yes: vegan options are available).

A stop at Canabliss dispensary in SE Portland.

Prices include a bike, helmet, guided tour, food and a joint of local marijuana at the end of the tour ($69). Riders will not consume marijuana on the tour itself, but are welcome to purchase products for later.

Date: Daily Time: 3:00PM to 6:00PM Where: starting at Pedal Bike Tours, 133 SW 2nd Avenue

We hope you can join us for this one-of-a-kind bike tour!

Frequent questions, can i bring my own bike.

Of course! You can enjoy each tour on your own bike or you can rent one. However, we do recommend renting a bike, because not all bikes have the same parts, so we can only guarantee the best mechanical assistance when you hire directly from us.

What kind of assistance will I have during the trip?

You will always have an emergency phone number you can call. On self-guided trips, you will need to be able to make your own minor repairs, such as replacing an inner tube in the event of a puncture, or fixing a slipped chain, but you can always count on assistance on site for more serious damage.

A bike trip is sure to capture your heart. It enables you to see the heart of Moscow within the Boulevard Ring and to explore some non-touristic areas of the city, to get an image of the city centre and to work out at the same time.

Our tours differ and depend on whether you are interested in city scenery or nature-like landscape. A variety of places in Moscow are great for riding a bike: these are large parks, yards with old mansions, and historical streets in the centre.

Let’s see what’s waiting for you!

This route includes the most popular city-sights and goes along the Moskva-River. About Buffalo Pedal Tours

Welcome to buffalo's premier pedal tours party experience, about us: a pedal party pioneer's journey.

Hello there, pedal enthusiasts! I’m Ken Szal, the visionary behind Buffalo’s one-of-a-kind pedal party tour business. At the sprightly age of 57, I embarked on this exhilarating journey in 2014, swapping my social worker hat for a captain’s cap. Why, you ask? Well, retirement wasn’t about slowing down for me; it was an opportunity to speed up the fun and create something truly unique for the vibrant city of Buffalo.

A Pedal Pioneer's Inspiration

Having dedicated my career to serving the developmentally disabled as a social worker, retirement was a chance to shift gears and explore life from a different perspective. Buffalo, with its rich cultural tapestry, was missing something—a distinctive and lively way to explore the city. I envisioned a pedal-powered adventure that would add an extra layer of joy to the already festive atmosphere of Buffalo.

The Birth of Buffalo's Pedal Tour Party

And so, in 2014, I founded Buffalo’s first pedal party tour business, pioneering a concept that was as refreshing as a summer breeze by Lake Erie. Nine years later, we continue to pedal our way through the heart of Buffalo, bringing people together for unforgettable experiences.

Pedaling into the Unconventional

Retirement wasn’t about kicking back; it was about finding fulfillment in unconventional ways. The pedal party business became my passion project, a way to spend time that was anything but ordinary. As the pedal mastermind, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting incredible individuals from all walks of life, creating special memories one pedal at a time.

Challenges and Rewards

Sure, it hasn’t been all smooth sailing—or should I say, smooth pedaling. Balancing the business with my love for concerts and parties has been a bit of a juggling act. Yet, here we are, nine years strong, and the challenges only make the victories that much sweeter. The constant evolution keeps things exciting, and the reward lies in the smiles and laughter echoing through the streets of Buffalo.

Our Commitment

As we celebrate nine years of pedal-powered joy, the journey is far from over. We remain dedicated to providing Buffalo with a unique and thrilling way to explore the city. Our commitment is unwavering, driven by the passion to make every tour a memorable adventure.

Join the Pedal Party

Whether you’re a local looking for a new way to experience Buffalo or a visitor seeking an unforgettable adventure, hop on board and join the pedal party! Let’s make memories, share laughter, and pedal our way through the vibrant streets of Buffalo.

Cheers to nine years of pedal-powered fun and many more to come!
