We are currently considering either an Airstream 26U or a Lance 2285. The Lance is 1/2 the cost of the Airstream so we're trying to determine which is best for us. We will likely travel no more than ...

  10. Good Sam Club Open Roads Forum: Travel Trailers: Airstream vs Lance

The Airstream is ludicrously expensive. I like them both. Joined: 07/23/2013 Good Sam RV Club Member. To me, Airstreams are cost-prohibitive (though well-built). They are also limited in terms of storage space and don't have slides. Lance is known for good products, but you might also want to check out Northwood Manufacturing (Nash, Arctic Fox ...

  11. New Lance or older Airstream? : r/traveltrailers

Haha Yea the Lance I am looking at is about 65 vs Airstreams in the high 80s. But yeah sounds like you should just buy Airstream. They have always been longest lasting trailers on road. ACombustionOfPhoenix • 3 yr. ago. The Airstream I'm looking at is a 2015, and they're asking 30 for it. The Lance is about 60.

  12. Lance Travel Trailers

Lance vs Airstream. We have owned 5 different Airstreams, the most reliable was our first a 2005 19' Flying Cloud. Our favorite was a 2010 25' Serenity. Unfortunately none of them could really handle the rigors of long distance gravel road travel and serious "boondocking" so we switched to a Lance 1985 two years ago.

  13. What Lance Trailer Owners Want You To Know

  18. Airstream Vs Other Trailers (Scamp, Avion, Casita, Escape, Oliver)

In this head to head comparison, we took the 16 foot Airstream sport and a 16 foot scamp trailer standard to make the comparison. So length is the same but the big difference comes in the other dimensions. The Scamp standard weighs in between 1750 and 2000 pounds while the Airstream sport comes in at just under 3,000.

  19. Airstream or Lance?

Wow! The consensus seems to be the Airstream will tow better and last longer, and the Lance will camp better and is a much better value. I am going to rent 2 more trailers next month at the 3,800lb. dry weight for better evaluation of the capabilities of my 2014 Toyota 4Runner.

  20. Airstream vs Lance

It depends on what type of camping you do. I camp year-round, so a 4-season package was a must. Don't know if Airstream is 4-season rated, (heated underbelly to keep tanks from freezing, double-pane window). I went with a Lance, due to lighter weight than anything else I found that had an enclosed, heated underbelly.

  21. Comparing Single-Axle and Dual-Axle Airstream Travel Trailers

Because longer travel trailers are naturally heavier, two axles are required to support the increasing weight as length goes up. Airstream splits the axle offering between 22 feet and 23 feet - anything 22 feet or shorter is a single-axle trailer, and anything 23 feet or longer (up to Classic's 33 feet) has two axles.
