The Lumineers Announce Encore ‘Brightside’ Tour

By Tomás Mier

On the road again! After their successful Brightside World Tour last year, the group announced an encore set of shows for this fall.

The band — led by Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites — is set to open their tour in Maine in mid-August before stopping at several amphitheaters and music festivals, including Aspen’s Jazz Aspen Snowmass festival. Accompanied by James Bay as an opener, they’ll conclude their tour at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on Sept. 15.

“We’re stoked to be back on the road, playing a run of shows in the US later this year with our good friend @jamesbaymusic,” the group wrote on Instagram.

The tour extension is in support of their 2022 album Brightside , led by singles “Where We Are,” “ A.M. Radio ,” and “Big Shot.”

Last year, they hit the road for 62 stops around the world. It was their first tour after the cancelation of shows from their III: The World Tour, due to Covid. The group made its way around Europe before hitting the road in the U.S. with CAAMP, Ashe, and Bay as openers.

The Lumineers have announced an encore run of dates after last year's massive BRIGHTSIDE World Tour. The shows will begin August 16th at Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, ME and end at the historic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA on September 15th.

The run of shows features scenic outdoor amphitheater venues across the country. James Bay will be the opener for the tour. Additionally, the band will be headlining New Orleans Jazz Fest this spring, the Catbird Festival August 19th in Bethel, NY, and Jazz Aspen Snowmass September 1st in Aspen, CO.

The two-time Grammy nominated Lumineers are touring in support of their fourth album, 2022's BRIGHTSIDE. The album was top ten in both the U.S. and Canada and the title track reached Number 1 on Billboard's Alternative National Airplay and Adult Alternative Airplay charts-the sixth time the band has topped the latter chart in less than 10 years.

Last year's tour saw more than 750,000 tickets sold across five continents, including two sold out stadium shows at Coors Field in Denver and Wrigley Field in Chicago.

BRIGHTSIDE was produced by longtime collaborator Simone Felice and produced, mixed, and engineered by David Baron over two sessions in winter and spring 2021 at Baron's Sun Mountain Studios in bucolic Boiceville, NY, The nine-song collection sees The Lumineers' co-founders/co-songwriters Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites performing virtually all of the instrumentation.

The Lumineers and environmental nonprofit REVERB.org are continuing their partnership to reduce the environmental footprint of this year's tour, empower fan action, and support local and national nonprofits. As part of their commitment to act on the climate crisis, the band will help fund a REVERB-vetted climate project portfolio that will measurably reduce greenhouse gas pollution and create additional benefits for people and the planet.

Fans are encouraged to join the band's efforts in the main concourse at every show in the REVERB Action Village.

You belong with The Lumineers on the road.

The ultra-popular folk group from New Jersey has 23 concert and festival dates remaining on their 2023 ‘Brightside Tour’ with special guest James Bay .

That includes last-minute gigs at Wantagh, NY’s Jones Beach Theater on Aug. 18, Bethel, NY’s Catbird Music Festival on Aug. 19-20 and Darien Lake, NY’s Darien Lake Amphitheater on Aug. 22.

And if you’re hoping to sing along to all the hits you know and love — “Ho Hey,” “Ophelia,” “Cleopatra” to name just a few — as well as tracks from their latest record, 2022’s “Brightside,” it isn’t too late to pick up last-minute tickets .

As of now, seats are available for all remaining shows and festivals.

Some tickets are fairly affordable too.

At the time of publication, we found some going for as low as $43 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Not all shows have tickets in that price range though — most start in the $50 to $100 range before fees.

The Lumineers 2023 festival appearances

Many a festival this year will have The Lumineers listed as their headliner.

For a closer look at what to expect from their fest gigs, take a look below.

The Lumineers set list

Wondering what Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites will play at the show closest to you?

Based on our findings on Set List FM , here’s what they’ve been performing live at the first few concerts of the tour:

01.) “Cleopatra” 02.) “Flowers in Your Hair”

03.) “Ho Hey” 04.) “Angela” 05.) “WHERE WE ARE” 06.) “Dead Sea” 07.) “A.M. RADIO” 08.) “My Cell” 09.) “Slow It Down” 10.) “Charlie Boy” 11.) “BRIGHTSIDE” 12.) “Gloria” 13.) “Ophelia” 14.) “Sleep on the Floor” 15.) “Leader of the Landslide / You Can’t Always Get What You Want” 16.) “Salt and the Sea” 17.) “Walls (Circus)” (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers cover) 18.) “Big Parade” 19.) “Donna” 20.) “Submarines” 21.) “REMINGTON” 22.) “REPRISE” 23.) “Stubborn Love”

The Lumineers new music

In 2022, The Lumineers dropped their fourth album “Brightside.”

Over nine tracks, the duo mixes intimacy and grandiosity with relative ease — every song sounds campfire or arena ready.

Although we struggled to pick a favorite, it’s hard to top the bare-bones, warts and all beauty of “A.M. Radio.”

If you’re hoping to find a track that suits you best, you can listen to the 30-minute record in its entirety here .

The Lumineers special guest

At all shows, The Lumineers will be joined by James Bay .

Bay, a headliner in his own right, has a billion-stream song under his belt with “Let It Go.”

He’s no one-hit wonder though.

For a closer look at his folksy sound, you can find his entire catalog here .
