Trip to Oxford, meant staying in Coventry. This should have been pointed out in brochure or with holiday confirmation. However we did have a lovely time and driver Derek, was very good, informative and conscientious with passengers.

Mystery weekend went to Liverpool on…

Mystery weekend went to Liverpool on the Saturday stayed at the norbrek hotel contrary to other comments I found it clean and the food was excellent the staff were very good.we then went on to Blackpool which was ok weather was kind to us and stayed dry.

Tenby, Imperial Hotel Excellent Holiday, Hotel good, room good, food good with plenty of choice, staff helpful and friendly. Included tours interesting. Driver friendly and a good bunch of people on the coach

I booked using the telephone, I was connected and spoke to someone straight away. The person I spoke to was efficient and friendly. It was a refreshing change to actually speak with someone who seemed to actually enjoy dealing with members of the public.

We have numerous holidays with Caledonian they are great value for money .The drivers are always so friendly and Knowledgeable about the areas we have visited.Definitely value for money and the website is so easy to negotiate. Both looking for holidays and book a holiday.

Timetable went to plan

Timetable went to plan. Coach clean and comfortable. Abbey Hotel in Ballyvourney clean, good sized bedrooms, good food and excellent staff. Those were the pluses. Big negative was lack of information/input from driver regards historical sites as promised in the description on the website. Did not see any Iron Age forts or the ogham stones. No mention of the landscape carved out of rock. On arrival in Cork and Killarney, no mention was made on areas of potential interest. In an area of significant historical interest the tour did not highlight the part it played in Irish history. Overall a satisfying break but Caledonian Travel could significantly improve this itinerary.

Folkstone +Bruges

Coach driver was fantastic, helped one of the older gentleman back to the coach when he got into difficulty walking in Bruges, Could not have got a better driver. Made the whole trip great.

Have been with caledonian travel for special events, Germany and England. Drivers always helpful on time and very pleasant. Absolutely no problems apart for accommodation. I know these holidays are reasonably price but the accommodation espically the Adelphi in Liverpool are really below anybodies standard. Food basic but passable rooms dirty and some undesirable in the hotel. We did not feal safe.

Aberdeen Pitlochry

Very little free time.Saturday was 1 1/2 hours in Pitlochry.then 15 mins.Aberdeen cathedral which had not been booked.we arrived city centre 3-30 and had a quick dash down Union Street for toilets and takeaway coffee as there had been no lunch break and we were to be back on coach 4-30.Sunday was 45mins each Ballater and Balmoral and a 15 min.toilet break at Pitlochry.driver John excessively used the F..k word.Upside everything about hotel was excellent

Great service from caledonian travel had an enjoyable holiday at Llandudno only thing is had to rush lunch as only stopped for 45 mins on way home. Should make it one hour.

I was given this holiday as a 60th birthday present from my sister When we arrived our room was filthy beds hadn't been changed We were given 1 small bath towel each and 1 hand towel between us Choice of food was terrible veg the same all the time frozen meal tonight We were told our room was going to be cleaned today all that was done was the bins had been emptied We spoke to others they said the same Towels were wet from this morning and put back on rail had to ask for clean ones I will never return again or recommend it to anyone else

Just back from a great trip to Keukenhof Gardens with Caledonian Travel. Bus was comfortable and clean as was the ferry. Bus driver Patrick was very nice and helpful. Liked his idea about scanning the qr code for the ferry and the gardens.

Mystery trip

We didn’t enjoy the driver he was arrogant sarcastic and doesn’t seem to enjoy his job. Trip was ok but hotel in the middle of nowhere so nothing to do. Litchfield and Stratford and hotel was in Walsall. We would not choose a mystery trip again has I’d rather know where we are staying. Price was ok evening meal and breakfast was good. Bed was lumpy and hard. The last trip I went on the driver was so friendly but this one.An elderly lady said has she got off talk about ignorant he took the cases from the boot put them on the path and drove off never said nothing even though we thanked him.

Went 2 mull of kintyre day trip... trip was amazing from start 2 finish driver was amazing sorry cant remember his name... met new friends now 2 book next trip...xxx

First trip with Caledonian to the Edinburgh Royal Tattoo but it won't be the last. Coach was very clean and comfortable, as for our driver Gary what a lovely man. So helpful and friendly, gave us continuous commentary about some really interesting places, he was so knowledgeable it was amazing. He made the whole weekend an enjoyable experience

Terrible tour to London Windsor. My daughter 17 years old was on a tour with her granny which we picked az supposedto be safer and easier as her granny doesnt speak english. Was left in the heat at a 50 minute walk from main attractions. Listos of her time walking from and then to the bus. Of the 4 hours they had to see London most of it was just trying to get on the bus Driver unfriendly and rude! 4 nights in a hotel without housekeeping... not even a towel change. Shocking as this was not warned or advertised when booking the tour! If it had been we would've picked a different travel agency.

This was our first trip with Caledonian Travel and chose to go to Legoland Windsor. Form booking to our return Caledonian Travel met our high standards! The only issue we had was with the hotel which in our opinion was not suitable for a coach party with children. I have contacted CT with my concerns regarding this. We have another trip booked for October to visit Harry Potter studios so hoping for the same great service from CT and a better hotel

Just back from a 4 day break to London and windsor, the driver Becks was such a lovely guy was so polite and easy going. The trip down took roughly 8 hours but we had 2 stops in between for comfort breaks which we were glad of to stretch our legs. The hotel we stayed at was very dated and tired looking but as it was only to rest after sightseeing I suppose we can't complain to much as we only paid £139 for dinner bed and breakfast. If your wanting a cheap hassle free getaway then I would recommend Caledonian travel.

First Caledonian trip

Just got back from a wonderful trip to Durham and holy Island. It was a perfect weekend from start to finish. Fantastic value, great driver and excellent trip. First time I have used this company but will definitely be booking more trips in the near future.

Booked andre REiu 18th april coach was 90 min late pick up which lead to us missing evening meal and ruining the day , no communcation from office about delay , it turned out it was thier fault giving drivers incorrect pick up times yet they werent truthful about it so shame on those at office poor driver was v upset too concert was great hotel too

Great value for money

Just returned from trip to Liverpool to see Andre Rieu. Most of the people had seen him previously. Booking trip was simple and easy. Arrangements and communications always clear and precise. Great value for money trip. Stress free trip allowing customers to relax and enjoy themselves.

I would give more as the mystery weekends are great value .The driver looked after me really well as I have a slight mobility problem .The hotel ,friendly staff ,food ok.We had a ground floor room designed for a guest who maybe in a wheelchair .Room 100 needs a ensuite review ,sink unusable as it too small and tap takes a lot of space .Toiletries were placed on a shelf that a wheelchair users cannot reach .Dining room almost impossible to get around with a rotary walker .I am sorry that I felt that I had to give it that eating as usually the hotels you use are excellent .

Great company!

A number of things are great with this company. Consistent service. Kept the original format for coach holidays. Good choice of trips. Friendly drivers. You can choose your seats without extra charge. Your seat is guaranteed throughout your holiday. Hotels are adequate for cost of holiday.

Great value, well organised, friendly staff.

Only been on one trip with Caledonian but have made further two bookings. Great value and well organised. Comfortable coach and helpful and informative driver. Staff at booking office were so helpful, friendly and very efficient. Also used online booking system, easy to use system.

Andre ruea liverpool

The whole journey was no bother, the driver Kev was most helpful, given clear instructions and friendly. The hotel Aldephi was clean and the staff helpful. The only complaint was the main meal. Food was lukewarm, and the unorganised way meant standing for a long time.

Dining Disaster

Hotel was fine apart from the dining room. The evening meal was served with no order of service. Not enough staff to cater for the number of people all being in the dining room at the same time. The food was bland and tasteless, felt very sorry for the 2 staff that had to serve this meal each night. Self service would be better as this problem didn’t occur at breakfast.

Easy bookable

Each trip is well displayed on line lots to pick from, prices are right and a good choice of destinations that are on offer. Each trip is well spaced out each month which then it becomes easy to arrange on the dates offered. good service from booking it to the driver which we have experienced over the years we have gone with Caledonian Travel

I enjoyed the mini cruise to Amsterdam

I enjoyed the mini cruise to Amsterdam. The coach seats were nice and comfortable and there was plenty room between the seats in front. The ferry crossing was not too uncomfortable but I have good sea legs so I am not the best person to ask on ferry crossings anyway. The coach driver was very informative on the journey there and back. I have booked two further holidays this year - one to the Rhine and one to Orkney.

Happy Tripping.

Easy to book and pay for our trip. Only ever had one hiccup with Caledonian and it was sorted very quickly,would recommend this company to anyone and very good prices for their trips,can’t complain really,and when they do make mistakes,like we all make mistakes,they are quickly resolved. Five stars from me and my mrs. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not a great experience

Have travelled happily, several times with Caledonian and this was the worst trip experienced. Coach was very cold on both journeys. Asked driver to put heating on but he said it was broken. Hotel needed updating. Our room was not at a standard expected for cleanliness. Had to clean the bathroom before using. Breakfast was good but ate-out, two of the three-night stay, as food was poor.

Excellent value for money

We recently traveled to Ireland on the Letterkenny & The Giants Causeway tour. We had a fantastic time, the whole experience was wonderful. The hotel was amazing and the food was fantastic, better than we had imagined it would have been. Our driver, Tony was very friendly and professional. The tour was excellent value for money and we would travel with Caledonian again.

Had a fantastic mystery day trip with caladonian. We arrived at our secret destination which was Bowness on Windermere. Well worth the fare paid. Driver Gary was a superb host and had a lovely day out. Highly recommend booking these.

A great holiday with Caledonian.

A great holiday with Caledonian to Shanklin Beach Hotel, Shanklin, Isle of Wight 15/19 April. Our driver Tim was brilliant, a great driver with a good repertoire of patter and was very knowledgeable about the island. The only downside to the holiday was that the trip to Alum Bay & The Needles was cancelled due to road conditions because of the wet weather in Feb/March/April meant that coaches were unable to negotiate the wet road. A tour of the island replaced this but Alum Bay was high on our ‘to do’ list and we were disappointed but Caledonian cannot be held responsible for this cancellation.

Folkstone getaway

Positives: on time, friendly, economical. Improvements: Hotel was in need of updating; bathroom tub missing handrails/support, broken tiles, chipped mirrors, lumpy mattress. Room was not made up (nowhere did it say we had to request our bed to be made or bathroom cleaned).

Caledonian Travel Mystery Tour

Just back from a Caledonian Travel Mystery Tour which went to Royal Lyminton Spa & Litchfield. Our coach driver Mick was absolutely brilliant - he couldn't do enough to help and make sure everyone was having a good time. We stayed at the Mercure Hotel on the ourskirts of Birmingham where the food/service/staff were excellent - special thank to Yvonne the receptionist who was so helpful. Having been to the same venues of a previous Mystery Tour we were a little disappointed on arrival at the same place, but fortunately we weren't staying at The Royal Court and had a very different driver - wow what a difference that makes to the weekend. The coach was very clean & comfortable, checking in to the hotel an absolutely doddle with Mick handing out the keys when unloading the luggage. I especially loved the breakfast at the hotel which, apart from the usual choice of hot food also had cold meats/cheeses/croissants. We have now booked a further 3 holidays with Caledonian - great value for money.

Had a brilliant trip. Our driver was the lovely Carol she was so friendly and a brilliant driver made everyone feel welcome. Only 1 thing that I didn't like was Bolton Abbey. There was an awful lot of stairs to climb down then a long trek to get to ruins. I have problems walking long distances so sat near the bus for most of the 2 hours as did a lot of the passengers. A visit to skipton would have been better. There is only so much coffee you can drink and I think we have drank more coffee on this trip to do me a lifetime. The canal trip was OK if you like looking at houses and old barges, 1hour. The Steam train 25 minutes and was OK if you like looking at houses. So my sum up is stick to the trip's by the sea x

Harry Potter Tour from Paisley. Pick up was on time and the driver was clear about when we had to return to the coach after stop offs. Ran smoothly. The coach clean and comfy, the driver was jolly and engaging. The trip itself was great, and Harry Potter Tour fantastic. The only thing I didn't like was not knowing where we would be staying. And on that basis, the hotel dinner is the reason this is only a 4 star rating. Dinner was absolutely vile. The choice was salad (wilted and not appetising), soup (tasteless), chicken bits and I mean the bits of chicken you throw away. Bones everywhere and had been boiled to death, roast potatoes and mixed veg, and a gloopy penne pasta that was way overcooked. Giving that chicken to anyone much less children is a health hazard. I cut my mouth on a bone! Some families were relying on dinner to feed their kids. Total disaster. Caledonian Travel either need to ensure a decent quality meal is served or if it's a cost thing then do not offer dinner and let families plan accordingly. I've attached pics of the chicken andy hotel review. The price of even soft drinks was absolutely ridiculous and a large gin and tonic £14!!! The tour however, fantastic and would use them again though not if I didn't know the name of the hotel.

Nice coach, driver not very good at giving information. Only downfall it doesn't pick up in Hartlepool you have to travel to Middlesbrough which is a drag, missing out on Hartlepool people who can't go

Cannot fault the coach or coach driver. Pick ups all on time and adequate stops on the journey. Driver friendly and informative. However, the Britannia Hotel in Edinburgh was very very poor. Very basic rooms - Formica box!! Some rooms even had no windows. Food very poor and dining area cramped, more like a canteen! Even the coach driver made comments on how bad the facilities were. Will definitely not book again if hotels are of this standard

Booked a while back to see Michael Buble in Manchester. Met Dave our long haul driver in Motherwell and off we all went. From start to finish this man made our trip so worthwhile. An absolute gentleman and a credit to Caledonian. He was very accommodating and very funny. The bus itself was spotless and so comfortable. Buble of course was the icing on the cake last night in the Manchester arena. Our hotel was in Bolton and was lovely. I had a pleasant clean room. Today we left the hotel and went to Liverpool for a few hours, fantastic city. Now on my way back home to boring Cumbernauld. Thanks Dave the driver for a great time.

Mystery weekend went to Liverpool on the Saturday stayed at the norbrek hotel contrary to other comments I found it clean and the food was excellent the staff were very good.we then went on to Blackpool which was ok weather was kind to us and stayed dry.

I booked using the telephone, I was connected and spoke to someone straight away. The person I spoke to was efficient and friendly. It was a refreshing change to actually speak with someone who seemed to actually enjoy dealing with members of the public.

Timetable went to plan

Timetable went to plan. Coach clean and comfortable. Abbey Hotel in Ballyvourney clean, good sized bedrooms, good food and excellent staff. Those were the pluses. Big negative was lack of information/input from driver regards historical sites as promised in the description on the website. Did not see any Iron Age forts or the ogham stones. No mention of the landscape carved out of rock. On arrival in Cork and Killarney, no mention was made on areas of potential interest. In an area of significant historical interest the tour did not highlight the part it played in Irish history. Overall a satisfying break but Caledonian Travel could significantly improve this itinerary.

Have been with caledonian travel for special events, Germany and England. Drivers always helpful on time and very pleasant. Absolutely no problems apart for accommodation. I know these holidays are reasonably price but the accommodation espically the Adelphi in Liverpool are really below anybodies standard. Food basic but passable rooms dirty and some undesirable in the hotel. We did not feal safe.

Aberdeen Pitlochry

Very little free time.Saturday was 1 1/2 hours in Pitlochry.then 15 mins.Aberdeen cathedral which had not been booked.we arrived city centre 3-30 and had a quick dash down Union Street for toilets and takeaway coffee as there had been no lunch break and we were to be back on coach 4-30.Sunday was 45mins each Ballater and Balmoral and a 15 min.toilet break at Pitlochry.driver John excessively used the F..k word.Upside everything about hotel was excellent

Great service from caledonian travel had an enjoyable holiday at Llandudno only thing is had to rush lunch as only stopped for 45 mins on way home. Should make it one hour.

I was given this holiday as a 60th birthday present from my sister When we arrived our room was filthy beds hadn't been changed We were given 1 small bath towel each and 1 hand towel between us Choice of food was terrible veg the same all the time frozen meal tonight We were told our room was going to be cleaned today all that was done was the bins had been emptied We spoke to others they said the same Towels were wet from this morning and put back on rail had to ask for clean ones I will never return again or recommend it to anyone else

Just back from a great trip to Keukenhof Gardens with Caledonian Travel. Bus was comfortable and clean as was the ferry. Bus driver Patrick was very nice and helpful. Liked his idea about scanning the qr code for the ferry and the gardens.

Mystery trip

We didn’t enjoy the driver he was arrogant sarcastic and doesn’t seem to enjoy his job. Trip was ok but hotel in the middle of nowhere so nothing to do. Litchfield and Stratford and hotel was in Walsall. We would not choose a mystery trip again has I’d rather know where we are staying. Price was ok evening meal and breakfast was good. Bed was lumpy and hard. The last trip I went on the driver was so friendly but this one.An elderly lady said has she got off talk about ignorant he took the cases from the boot put them on the path and drove off never said nothing even though we thanked him.

Went 2 mull of kintyre day trip... trip was amazing from start 2 finish driver was amazing sorry cant remember his name... met new friends now 2 book next trip...xxx

First trip with Caledonian to the Edinburgh Royal Tattoo but it won't be the last. Coach was very clean and comfortable, as for our driver Gary what a lovely man. So helpful and friendly, gave us continuous commentary about some really interesting places, he was so knowledgeable it was amazing. He made the whole weekend an enjoyable experience

Terrible tour to London Windsor. My daughter 17 years old was on a tour with her granny which we picked az supposedto be safer and easier as her granny doesnt speak english. Was left in the heat at a 50 minute walk from main attractions. Listos of her time walking from and then to the bus. Of the 4 hours they had to see London most of it was just trying to get on the bus Driver unfriendly and rude! 4 nights in a hotel without housekeeping... not even a towel change. Shocking as this was not warned or advertised when booking the tour! If it had been we would've picked a different travel agency.

This was our first trip with Caledonian Travel and chose to go to Legoland Windsor. Form booking to our return Caledonian Travel met our high standards! The only issue we had was with the hotel which in our opinion was not suitable for a coach party with children. I have contacted CT with my concerns regarding this. We have another trip booked for October to visit Harry Potter studios so hoping for the same great service from CT and a better hotel

Just back from a 4 day break to London and windsor, the driver Becks was such a lovely guy was so polite and easy going. The trip down took roughly 8 hours but we had 2 stops in between for comfort breaks which we were glad of to stretch our legs. The hotel we stayed at was very dated and tired looking but as it was only to rest after sightseeing I suppose we can't complain to much as we only paid £139 for dinner bed and breakfast. If your wanting a cheap hassle free getaway then I would recommend Caledonian travel.
