Oklahoma’s own Blake Shelton is a television personality, but most known as an American Country music star based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Born on 19 June 1976, Shelton was musically inclined from an early age, writing his first song at the age of 12 and then moving to Nashville at the age of 17 to pursue his country music career. In 1997 he got a production contract with Sony Music, and by 2001 he signed with Giant Records and released his first single “Austin,” which spent five weeks at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. Giant Records closed down and Shelton was transferred to the parent company, Warner Bros Records where his debut self-titled album was released in 2001. With his first record hitting Gold Status, he followed up with his second album, “The Dreamer” consequently earning him a second Gold status record in 2003. The following year he released his third album ”Blake Shelton’s Bar and Grill” and an accompanying DVD that featured several music videos and live performances of songs off the album.

In 2007 Shelton would find continued success with his fourth album, “Pure BS” becoming his third Gold record. It also featured a guest appearance of his then girlfriend (now wife) fellow country music star, Miranda Lambert. Shelton was inducted into The Grand Ole Opry on 23 October 2010 following his performance at the Opry. The following year he was invited to be a judge a new reality singing competition, called “The Voice.”

Balancing his television appearances, touring and studio time, Shelton released “Red River Blue” in 2011, which earned him a whopping 22 award nominations over a two year period, including two consecutive Country Music Awards (CMA) wins for Male Vocalist of the Year. That same year he also released his first Christmas album, which included duets with pop artist Kelly Clarkson, fellow country star, Reba, and wife Miranda Lambert.

In true star fashion, 2013 wsa just as successful with the release of a new album “Based On A True Story” as well as a Best Of collection that included three discs of Shelton’s greatest singles. In addition, he made sure to include a tour so that his fans could still have a chance to see him perform live. Still a coach on “The Voice” he announced the news that he was working on a ninth studio album, “Brining Back The Sunshine,” which was released in the fall of 2014.

Live reviews

Let's get the complaints out of the way first: Wrigley Field, what horrible placement for a venue. It comes to the advantage of the residents of Wrigleyville that they can charge $60 for a parking spot because there is NO PARKING LOT. Gr. That started me off in a bad mood. Anyways. Having been to concerts before - none quite as country hard as Blake - I wasn't sure what to expect. For one, you've got the drinking; EVERYONE is drinking and it starts to feel like a party just because of that. Kimberly from The Band Perry made a beautiful remark about country music's power to bring together people of all kinds and that was evident by the audience. Before the show even started, I had quite a quite a good time just watching all the dancing (some the product of overly giddy drinking). The show was kicked off with the US 99.5 team doing the typical "how ready are you" call and response spiel, followed by their introduction of Neal McCoy as the night's emcee of sorts. He came out throughout the night with some witty comments and jokes, occasionally singing, but mostly he seemed a little... washed up? Dan and Shay came onstage introduced by Neal as the really attractive guy and the short guy - rather fitting comparatively, but not necessarily respectively. They played of few of their songs which a good amount of people knew, culminating with "19 You and Me," their biggest hit. I was touched by their commentary on where they had been a year ago compared to where they are now. I believe most people in the stands, where I was, were still sitting at this point. That changed once The Band Perry came onstage. The Band Perry had an incredibly fun performance, thoroughly accomplishing their goal of getting the audience riled up for Blake. They all have so much energy and passion for their performance, something visible in their music but evident in their show. They only have two albums but they did a really nice job of going through most of them, including my personal favorite of "If I Die Young." With TBP all us country music fans had an example of our capability in changing lives and they made their appreciation known, just as Dan and Shay did. TBP also covered "Timber" (Pitbull) and "Fat Bottomed Girls," bringing in that diversity that makes country music so great. Overall, an excellent lead-in. Neal McCoy came back on for about 15 minutes to sing a mashup of some classics and some new stuff but I think he might have been drunk at this point because I couldn't tell if he was joking or not... His performance mostly gave people the chance to buy food and go to the bathroom. And then: the big guy himself. Blake Shelton came on after the playing of "Bust A Move," a fun but questionable selection. Then the real fun began. There was a real nice job done making sure he played all sorts of his music: starting off kind of country-twang, going into some of his oldies, cooing some love ballads...very complete mix. Having been to some very over-the-top shows, the theatrics were a little underwhelming, but nice in their simplicity. I think the true essence of a country music concert like the Ten Times Crazier tour was the audience reaction and input, truly making it feel like a party, especially towards the end; Blake Shelton's encore performance included his rendition of "Footloose," to which everyone danced to SO enthusiastically and "God Gave Me You" which left everyone in high, loving spirits. The best part of Blake's performance was his effortless ability to see us as country music fans despite our location way up North; he made it easy for us to show off our "Hillbilly Bone." Despite my hesitance on whether or not I would truly be able to enjoy myself, not being that big of a Blake Shelton fan, I had a phenomenal time.

Blake Shelton was a great preformer! It was his first Saskatoon concert and he didn't know what to expect, but he got a great response from the country folk of Saskatchewan! He does lots of his new music but still brings back his classic old stuff too! Even though it was a Tuesday, the turn out was incredible. The Credit Union Centre was full. I'm always very pleased each time I find the artist sounding just like I've always heard them on the radio, and Blake Shelton was definitely not any exception to this. He has an amazing voice and a great personality in stage to top it off! It was nice to see him trying to connect with the audience by walking out on the stage up to them, grabbing hands, and throwing out guitar picks. He even pointed out a couple at the stage's edge, and brought them right into the show! It was great to see he can improvise in his show and proves he is actually funny on his own! (65) Blake brought along Gwen, from his team on The Voice, to sing back up with him and they did their duet! Seeing that he's helping out his musicians from The Voice was really cool! Overall a very exciting and enjoyable concert! I would Definitely recommend seeing Blake Shelton live!

Blake Shelton, Country music sensation and TV personality knows how to conduct a show with his confident mannerism and natural interaction with his crowd. His amount of chart topping material also helps as his huge discography has endless possible setlist combinations that will delight his ever loyal fan base who continue to pack out venues.

From the beginning of the show, the crowd and performer share an equal high energy during toe stomper 'All About Tonight' and 'Kiss My Country Ass'. Although not all the set was dedicated to the high octane country sound, he often slowed down the pace to dedicate more balladic numbers such as 'Over You', some of which were dedicated to his wife Miranda Lambert who Blake holds in incredibly high favour.

His backing band are notably slick and support him throughout as Blake chooses to play his trusty acoustic and use his country vocal whilst the band create everything else. A tender cover of Michael Buble's 'Home' brings the main set to an emotive close and the audience cheer for more as Blake reappears for 'God Gave Me You' and the fun-filled cover of 'Footloose'. A performer more than singer.

Show was good. Raylynn opened for Blake with so gas like God made Girls. They performed for about 10 songs then intermission for Blake's set. When he came on the stage had a backdrop of two tornadoes which roared towards us a neon blue image produced a outline of Blake an he appeared. He performed all his old an new hits for awhile as his stage transformed for a theme to each song. After playing with his band and complimenting his home state crowd he settled down by himself on a extended stage in crowd with a mic an guitar singing Austin,I want to go home,an others. He then went back and opened with song he an Gwen Steffani wrote. This was a part of show we all got excited about. He introduced her an she walked out on stage a sang this song with him. Afterwards,he hugged her, looked like smooch an she exited stage. Few more hits Sangria,an then left stage. Encore song was the band,Blake, an Raylynn coming out and doing a edition of Kenny Loggans Footloose, last song before lights came up was God Gave Me You. Recommend you get in a see this tour.

Well, I didn't get to attend on Tuesday night, after the concert was postponed from Saturday! Was really disappointed that it was rescheduled to Tuesday since I had to work and my two daughters (they gave me this for my 60th birthday gift in December) were unable to return to Shreveport also. I am sorry he was sick...that couldn't be helped...but it would have been so much better had the concert been cancelled on Friday (could have gotten my money back for hotel) or the concert was postponed until a weekend. I was VERY disappointed because it was going to be my first time to see him in concert, along with Trace Adkins, Brett Eldridge and Carly Pearce. One day maybe I will see him...just so disheartening that it was rescheduled to a weeknight and not another weekend! Love The Voice and have watched all 14 seasons...makes me smile through the entire program...Hope he is feeling better!

THE GOOD BLAKE WAS GREAT. VOICE SOUNDED FABULOUS . THE GUY ON THE SOUND HAD IT PERFECT. GOOD CHOICE OF SONGS. BANTER WAS A LITTLE CONTRIVED AND OBVIOUSLY A PART OF THE SHOW. BUT BLAKE HAS THE CHARM TO PULL IT OFF.

NOT GOOD. VENUE TOO BIG FOR ME. POOR VISIBILITY. BLEACHER SEATS UNCOMFORTABLE. LOTS OF OBSTRUCTED VIEWS

AUDIENCE NEVER SAT DOWN, AND NEVER SHUT UP. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE AMPHITHEATER AGAIN.

I HAD BEEN SEEING LIVE MUSICAL ACTS SINCE 12:00 PM AND BLAKE WAS JUST SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE. I UNDERSTAND THAT BLAKE TRIED TO PLEASE EVERYBODY AND SING ALL THE FAVORITES BUT PERSONALLY I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HEAR MORE JAMMING.

ALL & ALL IT WAS A MEMORABLE CONCERT AND I'M NOW EVEN A BIGGER FAN..

Blake Shelton’s Country Freaks Tour was awesome. Everyone of the performers did an amazing job. The music was wonderful, the acoustics were good. Blake is very personable with the audience, he has a great sense of humor. He played every song you could think of that he has recorded. Brett Eldridge is fast becoming one of my favorite artists. His music is so fun. To me the best and most memorable part of the concert was Trace Adkins. I am so glad that Blake included him in the tour.

This was my first time going to Van Angel Arena, great place for concerts. I don’t think there was a bad seat in the place. Looking forward to seeing all of these artists on tour again someday.

I have seen Blake Shelton lots of times. I have never been disappointed. Blake is a very awesome wonderful great sweet charming country male artist ever My first time ever going to a concert. My daughter took me to Buffalo NY in 2016. The concert was the greatest thing I have ever seen. The entry Blake done was so entertaining. I am a fan of his. I will drive hours to hear him

I love Blake's Ole Red Saloon also. Been to Tishomingo 6 times. Both places in Tennessee 4 times. Love the Tishomingo Oklahoma the best. Got to meet his mother and everyone at the junk star store his mother has. Very great people. Someday I hope to personally meet Blake himself

FABULOUS show. Loved all performers of course. Carly Pearce was great. Love and know the songs she sang. She had a lot of energy. Brett Eldredge was terrific. Seems like he'd be a hoot to hang with. LOVED LOVED LOVED that he brought his sweet dog on stage. Blake Shelton had A LOT of energy! Was very happy his part was longer than I expected. BLOWN AWAY when Trace Adkins came out that man's voice makes my heart flutter. GREAT concert, so glad I went with my kids! They loved it also.

theresa-a-foxx’s profile image

Blake was great. The problem was the venue. It is the Falcon football stadium and they have big screens, but they did not show Blake, or Big and Rich, or the Oak Ridge Boys, on the big screens. So it was impossible to actually see the performers. Big and Rich also had terrible sound. I know all of the their songs and could barely distinguish which song was which.

Very disappointing. Will not attend anything at Falcon Stadium again. Or anything through these promoters.

The video is another blast from the not-too-distance past with Shelton donning a mullet, while performing in a retro-looking honky tonk, singing  Don’t wanna scoot the boots with no body / Get straight tequila drunk on no body / Wrap these arms around no body / No body but yours .

The track features more nostalgic nods to Shelton’s earlier days in Nashville and one of his inspirations, Conway Twitty, who he covered (“Goodbye Time”) on his third album  Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill  in 2005.

“All I ever considered myself was a country singer,” said Shelton. “I love country music and that’s on my horizon – from a career standpoint – just keeping that thing going and having songs on the radio and being able to go out and tour and play. That’s what I do. I am a country singer.”

Given Blake Shelton’s massive popularity on The Voice , many fans thought his time on the show might never end. Although he excelled at the competition, even with his wife, Gwen Stefani beside him, he eventually decided to leave the show. Claiming that he wanted to spend more time in Oklahoma with his family, many wondered what the future might look like for the country singer.

While the country legend spent the last few months enjoying himself, he recently dropped big news about the second part of his Back to the Honky Tonk Tour. And with fans anticipating tickets going on sale, the singer once again is giving fans tips on saving money on his own tickets.

Blake Shelton Still Busy When Not On The Voice

While Blake Shelton left The Voice , that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been hard at work. Just a few weeks ago, he announced the new season of Barmageddon . The show takes place at Ole Red, which is a bar owned by Shelton.

During the show, celebrities are pitted against each other in classic games often played at bars. With Shelton taking part in the show alongside Carson Daly and Nikki Garcia, the crew brings in big names like Chris Hardwick and, of course, Gwen Stefani.

We're back y'all!!!!! November 13th!!!! Get ready for a helluva season 2 of @BarmageddonUSA on @USANetwork ! pic.twitter.com/L5o60ID7vs — Blake Shelton (@blakeshelton) September 26, 2023

Besides Barmageddon , Blake Shelton recently honored Stefani as she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame . Barely keeping it together, Stefani listened as her husband revealed her special star quality. “It’s that thing that she was just born with that will make you stop and go, ‘Wait. Who is that? What’s her name? What does she do? Why do I love her already? What the he**?'”

He added, “That’s the thing that God gives you. And without question, God gave Gwen an extra scoop of it.”

How To Save On Tickets

Never too far away from the spotlight, Blake Shelton shocked fans when he released his tour lineup for his Back to the Honky Tonk Tour. The star continues to update fans about his tour with a new video. But instead of discussing tour venues or special guests, the singer decided to give fans a tip on how they can save some money on tickets.

In the video, he said, “Hey, y’all, this is Blake Shelton, and this is a lot of information. I want you to know that my Back to the Honky Tonk Tour is going on sale really soon and it’s coming to a city near you.”

And exactly how can you save money? Blake Shelton advised, “What I want you to do is download the TouchTunes app and play one of my songs to get a presale code to grab your tickets before the general public. I’ll see you guys soon.”

The sad aspect of this news for us Country music fans is that this tour will take place over the weekend in March when London, Dublin and Glasgow hosts the C2C festival, so none of these three artists can be considered for the bill.

About Carly Pearce

Fiercely rooted in the classics, the girl who left her Kentucky home and high school at 16 to take a job at Dollywood has grown into a woman who embraces the genre’s forward progression. Confident in what she wants to say, the committed songwriter has resonated with fans and caught the attention of music critics from Billboard , NPR , Rolling Stone , The New York Times touting 29: WRITTEN IN STONE (Big Machine Records) on their 2021 year-end Best of Lists. Carly performed the collection in its entirety throughout her sold-out THE 29 TOUR and is currently on Kenny Chesney’s HERE AND NOW TOUR 2022. Lighting a fire with her debut album EVERY LITTLE THING and the PLATINUM-certified history making title track, Carly’s 2X PLATINUM-certified “I Hope You’re Happy Now" with Lee Brice won both the CMA Musical Event and ACM Music Event , plus ACM Single of the Year . She picked up her second consecutive ACM Awards Music Event of the Year with Ashley McBryde duet “Never Wanted To Be That Girl,” Carly’s third No. 1 and the third duet between two solo women to top Country Airplay, dating to the Billboard chart’s January 1990 inception. Knowing it’s time to move on, she offers final reckoning of a relationship that failed and a new set of standards for the next time she falls in love with the project’s final single “What He Didn’t Do,” co-written alongside Ashley Gorley and Emily Shackleton. Recently filming “Carly Pearce Inside 29: Written In Stone – Live from Music City” with acclaimed director Shaun Silva at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works, her surprise duet with Wynonna Judd aired on ABC’s CMA Fest special and CARLY PEARCE: TWO NIGHTS AT THE RYMAN Oct. 26 and Oct. 27 mark her first headline dates at the iconic venue. Returning to host ACM Honors on Aug. 24, the reigning ACM/CMA Awards Female Artist/Vocalist of the Year and Grand Ole Opry member (fittingly invited by Dolly Parton) is clearly living out her childhood dream. About Jackson Dean

Odenton, Maryland native Jackson Dean is a singer/songwriter known for his old school, gritty style of Country. Mature beyond his years, Jackson has a daring and carefree spirit, having moved out at 18 years old to live in a cinderblock, concrete floor, one-room shack on the back of his grandfather’s property with no heat and no plumbing. Bringing that same sense of adventure to his songwriting, Jackson writes both independently and alongside outliers like Luke Dick, classic writers like Casey Beathard and everyone in between. Following the release of his debut collection  JACKSON DEAN , Jackson continues to show people how real music can be with atmospheric, musically forward album  GREENBROKE  out now via Big Machine Records. Featured on the soundtrack for Netflix’s  The Ice Road  and in an episode of Paramount Network’s  Yellowstone , the stomping “Don’t Come Lookin’” is making its mark as his first single at Country radio. Blake Shelton Returns to the Road in 2023 for “Back to the Honky Tonk Tour”

blake shelton uk tour 2023

“There’s nothing like getting out on the road and taking music to the fans,” Shelton said. “I feel just as excited to step on stage and perform as I did the very first time. I know my tour mates Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean feel the same, and I can’t wait for y’all to get to know them better. Break out the hats and boots, ‘cause we’re going back to the honky tonk!”

Shelton has ranked among Pollstar ’s Top 200 North American Tours nearly every year for the past decade. His Back to the Honky Tonk Tour follows consecutive Friends And Heroes outings, each of which earned widespread critical praise. The Spokesman-Review lauded it as “a showcase for Shelton’s natural charisma, talent and humor,” while The Seattle Times declared, “Blake Shelton knows how to show folks a great time.”

The beloved recording artist is indeed going back to the honky tonk with his latest single, “No Body” ( LISTEN HERE ). “No Body” became the most added song at country radio upon impact last month. The song is “soaked in ‘90s country vibes” ( Billboard ), and its official music video features line-dancing at a country bar – complete with Shelton sporting his signature mullet ( WATCH HERE ).

For fans who can’t wait until 2023: Shelton will perform “No Body” tomorrow night (9/8) on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon . He will then take the hallowed stage at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday, Sept. 10. Visit HERE to locate additional tour dates through the end of the year.

About Blake Shelton  Blake Shelton continues to add to his impressive resume of music with the release of his latest single “No Body.” The song comes on the heels of his album Body Language Deluxe , which features his Platinum-selling 28th country radio chart-topper, “Happy Anywhere” (featuring Gwen Stefani). Prior to “Happy Anywhere,” Shelton and Stefani celebrated a 2x Platinum, multi-week No. 1 with “Nobody But You,” which has now topped 480 million global streams. The single made its TV debut on the 62nd GRAMMY Awards, where Shelton was also nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for his hit “God’s Country.” The 4x Platinum smash earned the 2019 CMA Award and 2020 ACM Award for Single of the Year. As his award wins approach the hundreds, Shelton remains a force in the industry with ACM (5), AMA (3), CMA (10), CMT (11) and People’s Choice Awards (7), among many others.

As a coach for the Emmy Award-winning television show The Voice , Shelton is an eight-time champion. He and Carson Daly recently revealed that they would be teaming up to executive produce and star in a new celebrity game show, Barmageddon , to air on USA Network. The Grand Ole Opry member also remains focused on his Ole Red partnership with Ryman Hospitality, with locations currently in Tishomingo, Nashville, Gatlinburg and Orlando. A noted humanitarian, Shelton has helped raise millions of dollars for children’s hospitals, disaster relief organizations, food banks and more in his home state of Oklahoma and throughout the entire country.

About Carly Pearce  Fiercely rooted in the classics, the girl who left her Kentucky home and high school at 16 to take a job at Dollywood has grown into a woman who embraces the genre’s forward progression. Lighting a fire with her debut album EVERY LITTLE THING and the PLATINUM-certified history making title track, Carly’s 2X PLATINUM-certified “I Hope You’re Happy Now” with Lee Brice won both the CMA Musical Event and ACM Music Event , plus ACM Single of the Year . Recently filming “Carly Pearce Inside 29: Written In Stone – Live from Music City” with acclaimed director Shaun Silva at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works, her surprise duet with Wynonna Judd aired on ABC’s CMA Fest special and CARLY PEARCE: TWO NIGHTS AT THE RYMAN October 26 & 27 mark her first headline dates at the iconic venue. Returning to host ACM Honors on August 24, the reigning ACM/CMA Awards Female Artist/Vocalist of the Year and Grand Ole Opry member (fittingly invited by Dolly Parton) is clearly living out her childhood dream. About Jackson Dean  Odenton, Maryland native Jackson Dean is a singer/songwriter known for his old school, gritty style of Country. Following an early career of local performances in his hometown, Jackson has joined bills with superstar acts like Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Brantley Gilbert, Kane Brown, Jake Owen and Brothers Osborne. BLAKE Shelton has appeared annoyed with his wife, Gwen Stefani, amid rumored marital issues.

In a series of Instagram Stories,  Gwen , 54, and  Blake , 47, visited the massive garden on their ranch.

Gwen Stefani shared the massive garden in their Oklahoma ranch in new videos

In the first Story,  The Voice  alums went on a tractor ride across the grassy field in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.

The Hollaback Girl singer wore a white sweater and covered her eyes with blue-rimmed sunglasses.

She pulled her blonde hair back into an updo bun.

While pairing his western shirt with a tracker hat, Blake had one hand on the steering wheel and carried a water bottle in the other.

"I like it," she said.

Blake seemingly ignored her as he used garden hedge shears to remove one of the branches.

Gwen's posts came as rumors swirled about the couple going through marital issues.

With Blake traveling for his  Back To The Honkey Tonk tour  and Gwen gearing up for her  April reunion  with her former rock band,  No Doubt , at Coachella, the two have been spending time apart due to their jam-packed schedules.

In early February, an insider revealed their jam-packed schedules made it  harder for them to find time to spend together .

"They’ve been spending a lot of time away from each other the past several months,” an insider told  Life & Style .

"It’s been frustrating. Their relationship of late has been a lot of texting and talking on the phone.

"Gwen and Blake used to be inseparable, but that’s changed.

"Everyone loves them together, so hopefully this is just a temporary thing," the source closed.

'THEY LOVE YOU'

Over the weekend, the former No Doubt frontwoman took to Instagram and shared her  surprise appearance  at Blake's concert.

The Don't Speak singer pointed the camera at the crowd at the Rogers Place area in Edmonton, Alberta.

A concert-goer shouted out Gwen's name as soon as they spotted her.

As the two were backstage, Blake seemed in a chipper mood while covered in sweat.

"Did you hear them when you came out there?" he asked.

"I know," Gwen replied.

"Oh my god! They love you in Canada," Blake noted.

Then, the couple seemed to be enjoying themselves as they walked out of the venue together.

"Good show?" she asked him.
