Zach Bryan Flips Off Ticketmaster, Aims to Shut Down Scalpers on New Summer Tour

By Jon Freeman

Jon Freeman

As he promised late last year, Zach Bryan will be largely Ticketmaster-free on a sprawling tour of North America this summer. The singer-songwriter just announced dates for his headlining Burn Burn Burn American Tour 2023, which gets underway May 10 in Charlottesville, Virginia.

“I’ve tried my best to make tickets as affordable as possible for the Burn Burn Burn Tour,” Bryan said in a new video making the announcement. The brief clip features comedian Theo Von spelling out the ticket-buying rules in a wack y infomercial straight out of The Office (there’s even a cameo from Kevin!).

“We’re out here fighting the good fight with these human snakes at ticketing companies and dark-art bots on the internet,” Von quips in the announcement video. “Good luck, and here’s to fair pricing for all.”

Tickets purchased through AXS can’t be sold for profit, but they can be resold for face value to other fans through the Zach Bryan AXS Marketplace. There are also a handful of non-AXS events in London, Ontario; Philadelphia; Nampa, Idaho; and Wichita, Kansas, where no resales at all will be allowed.

To date, Bryan has notched the top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Something in the Orange,” which also spent six weeks atop the Hot Country Songs chart. Zach Bryan , which the singer/songwriter wrote and produced himself, was released via Warner Records on Aug. 25 and marks Bryan’s fourth full-length studio project. The new, 16-track album features collaborations with The War & Treaty (“Hey Driver”), Kacey Musgraves (“I Remember Everything”), The Lumineers (“Spotless”) and Sierra Ferrell (“Holy Roller”).

In announcing the album’s track list, Bryan said he is “really proud to call the writing and production on somethin’ all mine,” and noted that “I didn’t make this album to appease people who will never be happy anyways, I made it for my people, hope everyone has a good weekend.”

The Quittin Time Tour tour will follow the 27-year-old Bryan’s current Burn, Burn, Burn Tour, which wraps in Kansas City at the end of the month.

Zach Bryan Announces The Quittin' Time 2024 Tour with Sheryl Crow, Turnpike Troubadours and More Guests

The tour, which follows the release of Bryan's new album, kicks off in March 2024 with both arena and stadium dates in North America

Gary Miller/Getty Images

Before wrapping his current tour this week, Zach Bryan has already announced another one.

Days after the release of his new self-titled album, the country star revealed dates for his upcoming The Quittin' Time 2024 Tour on Monday, and it's set to hit arenas and stadiums throughout North America — with some massive opening acts.

"this year was too much fun, thank you guys so much for making our lives a dream. Boys are headed home and gearin’ up," wrote Bryan alongside the announcement on Instagram .

Kicking off March 6, 2024 with two dates in Chicago, the tour will make stops in cities including Pittsburgh, Toronto, St. Louis, Oklahoma City, Las Vegas, Denver, San Antonio, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City and more before wrapping Dec. 14, 2024 in Tulsa, OK.

Throughout the tour, Bryan will be joined by special guests The Middle East, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Turnpike Troubadours, Sheryl Crow , Sierra Ferrell, Matt Maeson and Levi Turner at select dates.

Tickets become available on presale for fans registered through Bryan's website starting September 6, and the tour's general on-sale begins Sept. 8.

John Lamparski/Getty

On Friday, Bryan released his fourth full-length album via Warner Records. "I've got no grand explanation for these songs, I got no riddle in reasoning behind writing them, I don't have a bulls--- roll-out plan to stuff it in-front of as many people as I can," he wrote about the record on Instagram at the time.

"I just wrote some poems and songs that I want to share because I think they're special," continued Bryan. "Some of them are heavy, some of them are hopeful, but more than anything what's most important to me is that they're all mine. If people listen to it, I'll be grateful, if people don't, I'll still be grateful because I got the chance in this life to be original when it mattered."

Liner Notes: Zach Bryan announces giant tour in 2024; Metallica reigns supreme

Zach Bryan performs July 13 at the Windy City Smokeout festival in Chicago. Bryan plans to start his “Quittin Time Tour” next March.

Perhaps the biggest touring news in recent days comes from country music superstar Zach Bryan, who last week unveiled his plans to hit the road in March. This matters to us for a couple reasons: One, Bryan is a U.S. Navy veteran and this is Stars & Stripes, so you have to love it when synergy like that presents itself. But No. 2 … well, No. 2 is the mere fact that Bryan hasn’t previously toured arenas and – gasp! – stadiums in the way he’s about to in 2024. But here we are.

Dubbed “The Quittin Time Tour,” the trek will be in support of Bryan’s brand new album, creatively titled “Zach Bryan,” which the country singer released on Aug. 25. Opening acts will come complete with star power as well: The Middle East, Sheryl Crow, Turnpike Troubadours and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit are among those who will join Bryan. Look for Crow and Isbell to help out on some of the stadium dates – the former is set to join him in Atlanta in August, while the latter will hop on for stadium nights in Foxborough, Mass., and Tampa, Fla., among other locales. All told, the North American run is set to wrap with a pair of nights in Tulsa, Okla., in December 2024. No word on if the singer plans to take the show outside the U.S.

Be it the U.S. … or, well, anywhere else, Pollstar’s Live 75 ranks tours for average tickets sold over the last 30 days and for the first time in maybe forever, Harry Styles did not make the cut this month. Now, if you read this space last month, you’d know there’s a simple reason for that: His tour finally ended. Stepping in to fill those shoes, however, is Metallica, who averaged about 75,000 tickets sold over the last 30 days. The metal gods are taking the Taylor Swift approach to their latest outing, pulling up to stadiums in a city for two or three days at a time. Their next stop will be in Indio, Calif., on Oct. 8, before they head to St. Louis for a two-night stand on Nov. 3 and 5. Perhaps the most surprising addition to this month’s Live 75 look? Iron Maiden, who snuck in at No. 10, averaging about 17,000 tickets sold over the last 30 days.

A band who you probably won’t expect to see on the chart anytime for the rest of 2023 is the Dave Matthews Band. The soft-rockers recently announced the slate for their fall tour … and it amounted to all of eight dates. They’ll hit Virginia, Connecticut and New York twice as part of that run, which begins Nov. 7 in Savannah, Ga. Another noteworthy tour that was announced since the last time we talked will come at the hands of Lauryn Hill, who will celebrate the 25th anniversary of “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” by playing arenas in 2024. Spicing things up will be the co-headliner on the bill, which is set to be her other band, The Fugees. While she has some sporadic dates lined up before the Fugees run begins in earnest, she’ll officially welcome Wyclef and Pras beginning Oct. 17 in Newark, N.J. And then finally, there’s Trans-Siberian Orchestra, for all you Christmas-loving concert-goers. Heading out to 62 cities, the holiday tour will wrap Dec. 16 in Pittsburgh …

… Thus proving that contrary to most reports, holiday-based prog-rock is indeed still alive and well.

Happy concert-ing!

Zach Bryan Links With Bud Light Ahead Of Huge Tour

G rammy winner Zach Bryan is gearing up for a major tour that will see him play more than 70 dates, and he’s got a huge sponsor behind him as he prepares to hit the road, Bud Light. What do we know so far about this latest powerhouse partnership?

Zach Bryan Flying High After Grammy Win

It isn’t a stretch to say that Zach Bryan is on top of the music world right now. He won big at the recent Grammy’s for his collaboration with Kacey Musgraves on I Remember Everything . This was the first Grammy win for Bryan, and one that many of his fans agree is well deserved.

That wasn’t the only thing that Zach Bryan had to celebrate this week, though. His 2023 self-titled release reached platinum status, meaning that he has sold more than one million copies of his latest record. This was a big achievement for Bryan, as this small-town country boy is making some huge waves in the industry, and people are taking notice.

Zach Bryan Partners With Bud Light For Major Tour

Bud Light will officially sponsor Zach Bryan’s upcoming arena and stadium tour, Quittin’ Time . The 70+ date tour kicks off on March 6 in Chicago. This partnership is a huge one for Zach Bryan, and not his first rodeo with the global beer brand, either.

Bryan is currently part of the Bud Light Backyard Tour , something that he has been participating in for two years running. With that existing familiarity, it makes sense for the global brand to back Bryan, especially with his new Grammy hardware and platinum status to bolster his popularity.

Bud Light Brand Partnership Could Be A Mutual Win For Both Parties

Backlash ensued after Bud Light partnered with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Partnerships with Zach Bryan and others may be an attempt for the brand to right the ship after that fiasco. With Bud Light sponsoring Zach Bryan’s new tour, and with Bryan having the backing of the brand, this could turn out to be a mutually fruitful partnership on both sides.

Bryan’s Quittin’ Time Tour will kick off on March 6 in Chicago. The tour will see Zach Bryan playing shows for the rest of the year, with his last concert for the tour passing through Brooklyn, New York on December 19.

Partnering with Bud Light also means that Bryan is now linked with Folds of Honor, a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to families of fallen and disabled service members.

On Bud Light’s end, the brand hopes that hitching their wagon to Bryan will help them regain some of the country audience they lost after the Mulvaney debacle. As far as choosing a rising star in the country world to join forces with, Bud Light certainly chose well when they  decided to team up with Bryan.

Zach Bryan Performs New Unreleased Song, ‘Fine Dry’, During UK & Europe Tour

By Maxim Mower

Zach Bryan may be in the middle of a jam-packed UK & European tour schedule, but - unsurprisingly - the prolific singer-songwriter has found time to craft another stellar track.

This week, the Oklahoma native shared a video of him performing a brand new song, ‘Fine Dry’, alongside his band-members. The clip appears to have been taken while Zach and his crew were backstage at Manchester Cathedral, ahead of their show later that evening.

‘Fine Dry’ follows a protagonist that is navigating the new, clarifying territory of a life without alcohol, with Zach crooning wistfully about the realisations this sobriety is bringing.

He laces a combination of contentment and confusion into the lyrics, singing, “I’ve been pining and pining for sweet relief / The kind you can’t find in a woman or some cheap whiskey / And I just got to where I feel fine dry / And for the life of me, I don’t understand why”.

This latest teaser finds Zach testing out some new vocal flourishes and pushing the limits of his previous material, with the ‘Something in the Orange’ hitmaker gliding seamlessly into some haunting falsetto notes, something we've only seen from time to time on tracks such as ‘The Good I'll Do’ and ’Snow’.

Fans wasted no time in asking Zach Bryan to give ‘Fine Dry’ an official release, and we're certainly hoping he'll include it on his upcoming album, Writers and Fighters .

Interestingly, throughout Zach's UK & Europe tour so far, he's been regularly performing another unreleased fan-favourite, ‘Deep Satin’, which is also expected to appear on the new record.

Zach Bryan is making a comeback to Upstate New York as part of his 2024 tour, named “The Quittin Time Tour.” On March 10 (3/10/2024) the talented country singer-songwriter will head to the stage at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo. The concert will kick off at 7:30 p.m., and fans can look forward to special performances by Levi Turner and The Middle East.

Tickets for this event will be available for purchase through  Ticketmaster . If you’re eager to secure your spot, you can also find tickets at  VividSeats ,  StubHub , and more.

  • VividSeats : Tickets start at $157
  • StubHub : Tickets start at $168
  • SeatGeek : Tickets start at $140
  • TicketNetwork : Tickets start at $258

Bryan, 27, is a country singer-songwriter and a U.S. Navy veteran from Oklahoma. He recently released his fourth album and has scored hits with songs like “Heading South” and the Grammy-nominated “Something in the Orange.”

Bryan performed in Albany in last March as part of his last tour,  refusing to use Ticketmaster  at the time over its high ticket prices. He even put out an EP titled “All My Homies Hate Ticketmaster.”

“Seems like there is a massive issue with fair ticket prices to live shows lately. I have met kids at my shows who have paid upwards of four hundred bucks to be there and I’m done with it,” he  said  in 2022. “I’ve decided to play a limited number of headline shows next year to which I’ve done all I can to make prices as cheap as possible and to prove to people tickets don’t have to cost $450 to see a good and honest show… I believe working class people should still be able to afford tickets to shows… I am so so tired of people saying things can’t be done about this massive issue while huge monopolies sit there stealing money from working class people.”

Music | 10 must-see denver concerts in 2024, from olivia rodrigo to zach bryan (and another this weekend), tickets for most shows are on sale now.

The 2024 concert calendar is still unfurling . Just this week, we saw big shows announced for the 18,000-capacity Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, and more are sure to arrive in the coming days.

While this is not a complete list of announced shows, here are 10 big concerts in Denver that you shouldn’t miss. Tickets for all shows are on sale unless otherwise noted. See the latest at denverpost.com/things-to-do/music . (Note: This list does not include festivals.)

2022 MTV Video Music Awards - Show

NICKI MINAJ

Usher’s Super Bowl Halftime show was a convincing example of a comeback, but we’re more excited for Nicki Minaj’s Ball Arena show this weekend. Minaj is a deeply influential, funny, lacerating, much-missed voice in hip hop, and this year brings her largest tour yet. (Note: the show is Sunday, March 3, so warn your savings account now.) This is only the second date on her world tour, which means fans can expect an energetic performance. (In the victory-lap realm, see also Madonna’s makeup date at Ball Arena on March 16, and Usher’s concert there Sept. 18). nickiminajofficial.com

Concerts at Empower Field at Mile High can arrive like tsunamis of sight and sound (see Taylor Swift) but also be focused on a more stationary face, which will be the case when this hugely popular singer-songwriter visits June 14 and 15. That’s a pretty incredible booking, given that one concert can’t satisfy fans’ demand. The only shows we’ve seen along those lines are Swift’s — since even a single show from Foo Fighters (Aug. 3), The Rolling Stones (June 20) and Kenny Chesney (July 27) would seem to be enough. We should also mention country superstar Morgan Wallen, who’s playing Empower June 27-28. empowerfieldatmilehigh.com

JENNIFER LOPEZ

Lopez is in the midst of a promotional blitz, with a new documentary and, as of this week, her first Billboard No. 1 album in a decade, Forbes reported . “This Is Me… Now” also comes with a tour that visits Ball Arena on July 22 — with openers yet to be announced — that will likely reinforce why Lopez is one of the most powerful, alluring stage performers of the past three decades, beloved by both English- and Spanish-speaking audiences. ballarena.com

Musician Trombone Shorty is among the headliners for JAS Aspen Snowmass June 19-July 7

TROMBONE SHORTY + BIG BOI

Troy Andrews’ genre-spanning music, under the name Trombone Shorty, gets a boost from Big Boi, one half of legendary hip hop duo Outkast and a frequent, visionary collaborator with various performing artists; see Big Grams and Purple Ribbon All-Stars, but also TV, film, symphony and ballet projects. The artist pairing promises a raucous dance party at their show, with Shorty backed by his crack band Orleans Avenue. July 23 at Dillon Amphitheater . dillonamp.com

OLIVIA RODRIGO

This red-hot pop-rock star’s kaleidoscopic Guts tour is slated to play Ball Arena on July 30, with Pink Panthress, following a packed Mission Ballroom visit during her last Sour tour and her own international tour dates this year. Rodrigo’s rock credentials have been assured in recent years as she’s reached into alt- and indie-rock history to inform her livewire songs. If things keep going her way, we can also expect this to be the last single-date show she’ll play in Denver, at least for a while. oliviarodrigo.com

DIERKS BENTLEY

Bentley is playing the first big, regular-season show announced for Colorado Springs’ new Sunset Amphitheatre , set for Aug. 30, with openers Chase Rice and Zach Top. But this acclaimed country singer-songwriter’s Front Range run also includes a stop at Red Rocks Amphitheatre Aug. 31, hinting that we may be getting more of these double-dip shows in the future (meaning: less I-25 driving for fans).

Phish wrapped up their annual three night run at DickÕs Sporting Goods Park on Sunday night. (Photo by Seth McConnell/Special to the Denver Post)

Why highlight a familiar band that has been playing Labor Day runs in Colorado since 2008? Because it’s still one of the biggest, most magnetic events in Colorado music, with impressive sales and fan loyalty since it debuted. The towering jam band’s summer tour follows their upcoming residency at Las Vegas’s Sphere venue, and the entire jaunt closes out with Aug. 29-31 and Sept. 1 concerts at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park soccer stadium in Commerce City. phish.com

Coors Field , the home of the Colorado Rockies, is one of the most surprisingly fun places to see a concert, especially given the potential for terrible acoustics and corporate blandness. And yet past shows there have gotten glowing reviews of performances from The Lumineers, Zac Brown Band and Denver’s own The Fray. This year’s lineup brings the supposed final tour from Billy Joel (July 12), country’s Kane Brown (Sept. 6), and a Def Leppard/Journey double bill with opener Cheap Trick (Sept. 8). Still, we’re most excited about Green Day, the ’90s pop-punks who are back with a new album and, on this date, excellent openers Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and the Linda Lindas, on Sept. 7. mlb.com/rockies/tickets/concerts

A list of nominees in the top categories at the 2019 Grammys, including Kendrick Lamar, who is the leader with eight nominations, were announced Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, by the Recording Academy. Drake, Cardi B, Brandi Carlile, Childish Gambino, H.E.R., Lady Gaga, Maren Morris, SZA, Kacey Musgraves and Greta Van Fleet also scored multiple nominations. (Photo by Katie Darby/Invision/AP, File)

KACEY MUSGRAVES

This just-announced concert heralds the live return of the Grammy-winning country singer-songwriter, with a massive world tour — her biggest yet — and a stop at Greenwood Village’s Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre . The Sept. 15 show, with indie opener Father John Misty and Chris Thile’s bluegrass band Nickel Creek, is a substantive answer to the litany of reunion and throwback events at the venue. Fun is fine, but this looks finer (and also fun). axs.com

THE NATIONAL AND THE WAR ON DRUGS

After its Taylor Swift collaboration, The National has gone from indie darlings to  amphitheater headliners. Like The War on Drugs, they’re also solid festival veterans who have learned how to play to massive outdoor crowds without losing their intimate intensity (if that sounds like a paradox, you haven’t seen them live.) This co-headlining set at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre will likely bring out the aging hipster dads, but also a new set of fans who enjoyed the National guitarist and lead singers’ recent studio collabs with Swift. Sept. 28, with opener Lucius. fiddlersgreenamp.com

Conan Gray raises his microphone triumphantly onstage in concert.

Conan Gray has officially graduated to superstar status.

The 25-year-old pop icon just announced his worldwide ‘Found Heaven On Tour,’ in support of his upcoming album “From Heaven,” due out April 5.

On the 17-concert U.S. leg of the international run, he’ll perform at arenas, amphitheaters, auditoriums and theaters with special guest Maisie Peters.

That includes a stop at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Monday, Sept. 30 for the California native.

“Can’t wait to be together screaming ‘From Heaven’ (plus all of our favorite classics) so soon,” he shared on Instagram .

And if you can’t wait either, tickets are available for all 17 U.S. and Canada ‘Found Heaven On Tour’ concerts.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, March 8, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Conan Gray 2024 tour schedule

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets can be found below.

Conan Gray set list

While Gray will certainly be working his new album into the live show, here’s a look at the “favorite classics” he played on his 2022 ‘Superache Tour,’ courtesy of Set List FM :

01.) “Disaster” 02.) “Telepath” 03.) “Fight or Flight” 04.) “The Exit” 05.) “Wish You Were Sober” 06.) “Astronomy” 07.) “Best Friend” 08.) “People Watching” 09.) “The Story” 10.) “Footnote” 11.) “Movies” 12.) “Overdrive” 13.) “Checkmate” 14.) “Jigsaw” 15.) “Family Line” 16.) “Heather” 17.) “Maniac” Encore:

18.) “Memories”

*The above is from his Oct. 5, 2022 concert in Oklahoma City.

Conan Gray new music

On Feb. 9, Gray dropped four (!) singles from “Found Heaven” on Spotify.

The first track, “Lonely Dancers,” is a danceable synth-heavy bop that will surely have audiences singing along and dancing with Gray.

“Never Ending Song,” the bombastic second song, would fit right in on any ’80s new wave record. Think OMD, Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys — you get the idea.

Gray slows things down for the anthemic “The Winner” which takes its sweet time building from a tearjerker into a full-on showstopping jam.

To close the extended trailer for the record, he wraps things up with the urgent Bruno Mars-esque “Killing Me” that switches from a speedy tempo into a glorious mid-song break that we’re guessing will likely be a tour highlight.

For fans that haven’t listened yet, you can find the quartet of tunes here .

Maisie Peters

Peters, 23, is a rapidly rising British singer-songwriter who mounted a huge tour of her own last year.

If you’d like to sample her sweet sound, we recommend checking out the glittery “Not Another Rockstar,” winsome “Wort Of You” and melancholy “Favourite Ex.”

Completists can find Peters’ discography here .
