Who Is Opening Blink-182’s 2023 Tour?
Blink-182 is back like they never left. Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, and Tom DeLonge performed together for the first time in nine years at Coachella last month, including a last-minute headlining set , and Blink’s headlining reunion tour is underway.
The North American trek hits Madison Square Garden in New York on Friday, May 19.
Fans are ecstatic to experience Blink with DeLonge again — the setlist is a nostalgic dream — as he officially rejoined the iconic pop-punk trio last fall, but the tour openers also elicit excitement. Turnstile was announced when the tour was confirmed in October, but Blink-182 updated everyone on April 17.
“We are also excited to welcome Beauty School Dropout, Destroy Boys, KennyHoopla, Landon Barker, and White Reaper on select dates of our North American tour. See you soon!” the band wrote on Instagram .
The North American leg is scheduled to wrap at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on July 16. The tour’s European leg will run from September 2 to October 15 in Glasgow and Manchester, respectively.
Shows in Australia, New Zealand, Peru, and Mexico are slated for early 2024 after Barker’s finger injury caused a postponement . See all of Blink-182’s tour dates here .

Blink-182 Can’t Stop Touring: Band Details Summer 2024 Shows
By Jon Blistein

Blink-182 will keep the big reunion party going into next year, announcing another massive North American tour for summer 2024.
The run will kick off June 20 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, with dates scheduled through Aug. 15 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. Blink-182 will primarily play arenas during the run, though there will be a few special stadium gigs in Los Angeles, New York, Boston, Toronto, and the band’s hometown of San Diego. Pierce the Veil will provide support throughout the tour, while Alexisonfire will join the bill just for the final gig in Toronto.
Tickets for all shows will go on sale Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. local time. Full info is available on Blink-182’s website .
Along with the reunion tour, Blink-182 released a new album, One More Time , last Friday, Oct. 20. The LP marks the first from Hoppus, DeLonge, and Barker since 2011’s Neighborhoods . After DeLonge left the group in 2015, he was replaced by Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba, who appeared on two albums, 2016’s California and 2019’s Nine .
In a recent interview with Zane Lowe , Hoppus and DeLonge opened up about their acrimonious 2015 splits with both admitting they weren’t sure they’d ever play together again. That changed after Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer in 2021 — a traumatic but clarifying event not unlike the 2008 plane crash that nearly killed Barker.

Blink-182 Reunite With Tom DeLonge, Announce 2023 Tour
By Evan Minsker and Jazz Monroe
Blink-182 have reunited with founding member Tom DeLonge and announced a 2023 tour. The classic lineup of DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker will also release a comeback single called “Edging” on Friday (October 14). Check out the tour dates, which include North American shows with support from Turnstile, at the bottom of the page, and watch the characteristically juvenile announcement video below. The band will release a new album next year, according to a press release.
DeLonge started Blink-182 with Mark Hoppus in 1992. Their debut album, Cheshire Cat , arrived in 1995, followed by the “Dammit”-featuring album Dude Ranch in 1997. After original drummer Scott Raynor was dismissed from the band in 1998, Travis Barker came aboard in time to record the band’s multi-platinum 1999 album Enema of the State , which featured the hit singles “What’s My Age Again?” and “All the Small Things.”
Their first No. 1 album in the United States followed, 2001’s Take Off Your Pants and Jacket . In 2002, DeLonge and Barker released a side project as a duo, a self-titled Box Car Racer album. The following year, Blink-182 released a self-titled album before announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2005.
DeLonge focused on his band Angels & Airwaves, which released their debut album in 2006, while Barker became a prolific session drummer, particularly in the worlds of pop-punk and hip-hop. In 2008, Barker was involved in a plane crash that led to the trio returning for a reunion tour in 2009. In 2011, Blink-182 released Neighborhoods and they continued to tour in the early 2010s before DeLonge departed the band in early 2015.
Hoppus and Barker discussed DeLonge’s departure in an interview with Rolling Stone at the time, saying that after the band signed a recording contract and booked a studio for album sessions, Hoppus and Barker received emails from DeLonge’s management announcing that he was leaving the band. “To be honest, I wasn’t that surprised because his attitude leading up to that had been not excited and not interested,” Hoppus said. Barker called DeLonge “disrespectful and ungrateful” to have his manager break the news and not call them himself. “Why Blink even got back together in the first place is questionable,” Barker said.
Following DeLonge’s departure, Blink-182 hired Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba. They released two albums under that lineup: 2016’s California and 2019’s Nine . The band toured consistently in the late 2010s, too, and was booked to perform at the famously doomed Fyre Festival.
During his time away from the group, DeLonge has continued recording with Angels & Airwaves. He has notably committed much of his time to the study of aliens, UFOs, and conspiracy theories. He founded the company To the Stars Academy of Arts & Sciences in 2015 and was the executive producer behind the History Channel series Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation . In 2020, the Pentagon declassified UFO videos that DeLonge’s company had previously shared.
In the recent past, Barker has become something of an omnipresent cultural and tabloid figure. He has collaborated with Post Malone, Machine Gun Kelly, Willow, and XXXTentacion, to name a few. In May 2022, he married Kourtney Kardashian.
Since 2019, Hoppus has been hosting the Apple Music 1 radio show After School Radio . In 2021, he revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer; later that year, he said he was cancer free . In an August 2022 interview with People , Hoppus revealed that DeLonge and Barker visited him before he started chemotherapy. “It was the first time that all three of us were in the same room in, like, five years,” Hoppus said. “It’s actually better than it used to be. There was no agenda. There were no lingering grudges. It felt very back to what it should be: three friends sitting in a room.… Everybody’s in a really great place right now.”

Most exciting for fans, though, is word that a new single, “EDGING,” is coming on Friday (Oct. 14), commemorating the trio’s first time in the studio in 10 years. In keeping with the barely-contained enthusiasm for the get-together, the eternally youthful Take Off Your Pants and Jacket stars released a promotional video for the tour in which a series of fans vow that they would “do anything to make them come”… to their hometown, is what they mean. Naturally.
The video features a preview of the hard-edged, “Edging,” with the lyrics, “I ain’t that cool/ A little f—ed in the head/ They’ll be hangin’ me quick when I’m back from the dead/ Get the rope, get the rope, get the rope, get the rope.” Tickets for the tour — which a press release teased includes performances at 2023 Lollapaloozas in Chile, Argentina and Brasil alongside Billie Eilish, Drake and Lil Nas X and the 2023 edition of the We Were Young fest in Las Vegas alongside Green Day and others — are slated to go on sale on Monday (Oct. 17) at 10 a.m. local time here .
The get-back comes after Hoppus, 50, revealed that he is writing a memoir that will cover his recent battle with cancer, as well as Blink’s road to success. Back in August, Hoppus said he was “ open to whatever ” for Blink after reuniting with DeLonge before his “brutal” chemotherapy sessions. “It’s actually better than it used to be. There was no agenda. There were no lingering grudges. It felt very back to what it should be: three friends sitting in a room,” he said.
The world tour will feature support from the Wallows in South America, Turnstile in North America, The Story So Far in Europe and Rise Against in Australia/New Zealand.
