Star Trek TOS Captain Kirk 1:6 Scale Articulated Figure To Boldly Go Where No One-Sixth Figure Has Gone Before Star Trek™ The Original Series celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and to celebrate, QMx is bringing everyone’s favorite captain to Trek collectors everywhere! The most notorious Starfleet captain in Federation history, James Tiberius Kirk, commanded the starship Enterprise on its original voyage. This 1:6 figure recreates the iconic character in exquisite detail. Standing approximately 12 inches tall, every detail -- from his 23rd century tunic to his pointy black shoes -- was researched and overseen by Star Trek scholar Nanjin Tam. The original portrait sculpt of William Shatner as Kirk is the best representation of the actor ever created for a collectible.

QMx Unveils New Star Trek: TNG and ‘Beyond’ 1:6 Figures + More Updates From ToyFair 2017

Last week was Toy Fair in NYC and a number of familiar and new Star Trek licensees were showing off their latest Star Trek products and announcing some new ones. TrekMovie has reached out to each to get more details on some of the exciting Trek products coming soon. Check it out below.

QMX REVEALS TNG AND MORE TOS AND MOVIE 1:6 FIGURES AT TOY FAIR

The folks at Quantum Mechanix went to Toy Fair to show off their growing line of Star Trek 1:6 scale articulated action figures. QMx started off the line of 12" figures last year with Star Trek: TOS Kirk , Spock and McCoy . Each figure comes with a range of different hands and accessories. At ToyFair they revealed the first looks at their TOS Sulu and Scotty figures. QMx tells TrekMovie this figures are still in development and they don’t have a firm date yet. They are also developing a new captain’s chair accessory which you will be able to buy separately.

And to celebrate its 30th anniversary, QMx is introducing 1:6 figures for Star Trek: The Next Generation . The first release will be a Capt. Picard which is due in April. It will be available in two different versions, standard (for $179.95) and limited-edition exclusive ($199.95). The standard includes a bevy of 24th century accessories including phaser, communicator badge, tricorder, and his Earl teacup. The exclusive includes an additional set of hands and Picard’s phaser rifle. QMx also has a Lt. Cmdr. Data is in development, but no firm release date nor pricing currently available.

In addition QMx is also working on some movie era 1:6 figures. They showed off a Star Trek: Beyond Kirk as well as early prototypes of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan Adm. Kirk and Capt. Spock figures. There are no firm dates for any of these figures.

QMx also revealed to TrekMovie they have some additional Star Trek items that weren’t on display at Toy Fair. As part of their celebration of The Next Generation they will be introducing a new series of TNG art prints available on heavy, museum-quality paper stock. In addition for later in the year, Quantum Mechanix is diving into the journaling category for the back to school season. Their concepts are currently being submitted to the licensor for review, but QMx says they are "unlike anything else in the market." They are targeting $14.95 for the journals, TrekMovie will have more details on all the upcoming QMx Star Trek products when we can get them.

McCoy and Kirk w/ Green Tunic added to Mezco One: 12 Collective Figure Line

Toy and Collectible company Mezco were showing off their growing line of Star Trek figures . They have previously released Star Trek TOS Kirk , Spock , and Sulu 1:12 scale figures as well as a "The Cage" Mr. Spock figure and a “Mirror, Mirror” Spock . Each 7" figure comes with many interchangeable parts including different heads and hands along with phasers, communicators and other accessories. The accessories are also personalized to the figure, like Mr. Sulu comes with his own sword. They are digitally modeled with an accurate likeness with 28 points of articulation and come with real fabric uniforms and even leather-look boots and display base, retailing for $70.00 each. At Toy Fair they showed off upcoming McCoy and Kirk wraparound tunic variant with new chair accessory. The target date for the new Kirk and McCoy figures is holiday season of 2017.

NJCroce Bendables

A new licensee revealed they were getting in on Star Trek. NJ Croce – maker of ‘fun’ products ‘designed for the kid in all of us’ – announced a coming line of Star Trek ‘bendable’ figures. NJ Croce’s tells TrekMovie that their line is still in development but they are currently looking to release four Star Trek products this summer. Plans are for two box sets of four figures from Star Trek: TOS, and two 2-packs of bendable figures: Kirk and Picard "Captains 2 Pack" and a Admiral Kirk and Khan from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan . There are no pictures yet, but the Batman set of bendable figures below should give you an idea.

Limited Edition Icon Heroes Kirk and Spock Statue Paperweight Set

Statue and collectible maker Icon Heroes were showing off their limited edition Kirk and Spock Paperweight pair. The 7.3" polystone statues weigh 1 1/2 pounds each so they should be able to keep your office tidy. Each statue is cast in high-quality resin and expertly painted. The Kirk and Spock pair is limited to 150 sets, each is numbered and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. You can buy them now direct from the IconHeroes site for $109.99 .

Diamond Select Update – TNG phaser being finalized + Warbird out now

The next Star Trek products from Diamond Select are a electronic USS Reliant ship from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and a new fully articulated 7" Borg figure with interchangeable parts. DST isn’t revealing pictures of these products just yet and they haven’t set the release dates but the Borg figure should retail for $24.99. Also in the pipeline is a new Star Trek: The Next Generation phaser toy, which DST first revealed at the 2015 Toy Fair . DST tells TrekMovie they don’t have a firm release date yet but the phaser is right now at the factory finalizing electronics. Look for more details and images on the upcoming DST Star Trek items when they are available. For now the latest DST Star Trek release is the TOS era electronic Romulan Warbird, which you can buy now from Entertainment Earth for $59.99 .

NEW ENTERTAINMENT EARTH/BIF BANG POW LINE COMING SOON

The fine folks at Bif Bang Pow and Entertainment Earth were showing off some of their recent Star Trek releases such as their Fisher Price-like Pin Mates figures and Wood Enterprise Bridge Set , but they didn’t have any new reveals. However, a rep from EE tells TrekMovie they have a brand new line of Star Trek TOS figures coming this summer and they will be announcing that in April so stay tuned. They also plan to have some new Star Trek: The Next Generation Bif Bang Pow products this year in time for the 30th anniversary, so stay tuned for news from BBP/EE.

So cool.. so expensive… :(

iconic heroes kirk figure is poorly sculpted.. spock doesnt look much better either

Doesn’t look like Shatner. It looks like the guy who plays Kirk in the fan production that’s still going.

@Andy Patterson – NONE of the fan productions are “still going”.

For that matter,…now that I look at it,….so does the Spock. And is that 5 oclock shadow on him?

Of course not. It’s 1700 Hours shadow.

Those QMx models are very impressive. It’s a good thing my wife wouldn’t appreciate them much, saves my wallet a big hammering.

Finally, some non-TOS figures. Come on Mezco, follow QMx’s lead.

Some very good likenesses, and some really awful ones. Icons Spock looks like he’s been on a week-long bender. The Kirk in the captain’s chair needs a better pose, more emperor-like. Watch “Doomsday Machine” just to watch the body language of Kirk, Spock, and Decker in the chair. It’s awesome! Love the Romulan Warbird, but not for $60.

QMX have hit the ball outta the park with the Kirk figure. Photos online look great for this figure, but in hand it is outstanding. Paying off Spock currently & cannot wait to get Bones

Took me a second to recognize that Scotty is holding a bottle of Saurian Brandy. Hey kids! Get zoshed like your pal, Scotty! Grab some brandy, or your folks’ gin. Whatever. Chug chug!! It’s fun.

In the first pic the pose seems a bit unnatural looks like Scotty has a Saurian dildo. No alien sex toy is too strange for our intrepid voyagers–talk about boldly going…

When on Earth will the Diamond Select/Art Asylum Reliant be released? I swear it’s been in development for what feels like a decade.

Qmx just added the fantastic McCoy figure to their line recently guys.

At the rate Art Asylum is going we’re never going to get any other TNG role play toys.

No Chekov! WTF

I like what QMx is doing with the figures but I wonder if they are ever going to produce the smaller scale more affordable starship models that they talked about way back around Star Trek 2009. I know they did the USS Franklin for the STB Box Set. Hopefully with Eaglemoss’s success, QMx will follow with their own line.

Sign me up for that TNG phaser. Later, I hope Diamond Select will get around to creating either a TNG-era Romulan disruptor or Cardassian phaser, or a TOS-era Klingon disruptor. We’ve never had any of those weapons made as toy props.

QMx is always “unveiling” stuff that never actually makes it into the marketplace. They have zero credibility.

I really think they’ve dropped the ball on not releasing any of the ships from Beyond; an Enterprise refit or Enterprise A model kit/bust would have been a guaranteed buy. Hopefully they’ll crop up as a special in the Starship Collection over in the UK.

QMx Beaming Exclusive Kirk & Spock Figures to SDCC

Quantum Mechanix Inc. will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek at San Diego Comic-Con by unveiling their 1:6-scale articulated collectible figures of Captain James T. Kirk and Spock. The figures, which are part of the QMx Master Series, feature authentically styled Star Trek: The Original Series uniforms with simulated leather boots and such detailed 23rd century accessories as phasers, communicators, Spock’s tricorder and Kirk’s clipboard. Both figures include multiple hands for a variety of action poses.

The Kirk and Spock figures will make their on-sale debut at Comic-Con next month. Expect the exclusive Captain Kirk figure to be equipped with a vintage-style 1:6-scale phaser rifle and the exclusive Spock figure to come with his Vulcan lyre. Those exclusive elements for the figures will be available only at the QMx booth #4145 at SDCC and on the QMx website. A limited number of the figures will be offered each day at SDCC.Anyone unable to attend SDCC can preorder the figures at www.qmxonline.com starting on June 23 at 12 noon PST, with the figures priced at $199.95 each. The standard versions of the Kirk and Spock figures will be available from retailers for $179.95 each.

Joining him from the movie line are the next iteration of the  Wrath of Khan -era Admiral Kirk and Captain Spock, with wonderfully-detailed ‘monster maroon’ uniforms, right down to the pip-and-squeak insignia on their wrists.

From  The Next Generation comes QMx’s 1:6 Lt. Commander Data prototype, following in the footsteps of QMx’ 1:6 Captain Picard released in 2017, complete with 24th Century uniform details and a standard Starfleet tricorder.

Finally, from the days of the Original Series comes Montgomery Scott and Hikaru Sulu, complete with classic  Trek uniforms and accessories.

As with all of QMx’s prototypes, there’s no release date for any of these figures yet determined, as each continues to work through licensing and likeness approvals.

Along with the 1:6 figures comes two of QMx’s first “Master Series Latinum Edition” models, the  Enterprise- D and Picard as Locutus, which are rolling out as part of the  Star Trek  “Mission Crate” releases from LootCrate this Spring.

The two models will be LootCrate exclusives for a time, but are expected to eventually come to QMx’s web store for direct purchase. The second “Latinum Edition” releases, not on display at Toy Fair, will be a  USS Defiant  ship model and a Lieutenant Worf character model.

After a stellar debut with Captain Kirk and Mister Spock , the next Quantum Mechanix 1/6 scale Star Trek figure has been revealed. Sideshow Collectibles has opened pre-orders for a Star Trek – Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy 1/6 Scale Figure . The figure features the likeness of actor DeForest Kelley and includes multiple interchangeable hands, medical supplies, a phaser, a figure stand and more. More details from the listing:

Continuing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek™: The Original Series (TOS), Quantum Mechanix adds your favorite curmudgeonly old doctor to their Master Series articulated figure line! Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy was the chief medical officer of the starship Enterprise for her five-year mission. This sixth scale figure re-creates this iconic character in exquisite detail. Standing approximately 12 inches tall, every element, from his 23rd-century tunic to his custom black boots, is authentically reproduced. The original portrait sculpt of DeForest Kelley as Dr. McCoy has an authentic, hand-painted likeness. He comes with his away medkit, phaser, tricorder and communicator and a variety of hands for hundreds of display options. A Star Trek Delta symbol display base will support the good doctor in a variety of poses.
