Tour de France etappe 12 ( Briançon - Alpe d'Huez ) live op tv en online Hoe laat start en finisht het peloton?

De Nederlandse berg staat weer op het programma! Donderdag 14 juli trekt het peloton in opnieuw een zware Alpenrit richting de legendarische Tour de France-col. De twaalfde etappe is live te zien op NPO 1, Eurosport, België Eén (Sporza) en online te kijken op discovery+ , NOS.nl en de livestream via Gids.tv .

Volledig tijd- en uitzendschema

• 12.45 uur: start uitzending op discovery+
• 12.55 uur: start uitzending op Eurosport
• 13.00 uur: start uitzending op NPO 1
• 13.05 uur: start etappe
• 13.30 uur: start uitzending op België Eén
• 17.00 uur: overschakelen naar NPO 2
• 18.10 uur: finish etappe (verwacht)

Favorieten Afhankelijk van de uitslagen in etappe 11 (die op het moment van schrijven nog bezig is) kijken we voor de etappe naar de Alpe d'Huez opnieuw naar de klassementsmannen: Tadej Pogacar, Primoz Roglic, Jonas Vingegaard, Aleksandr Vlasov, Adam Yates. Er liggen echter ook kansen voor aanvallers, en daarbij hopen we natuurlijk op een Nederlands succesje van bijvoorbeeld Bauke Mollema. Namen als Thibaut Pinot, Michael Storer en Michael Woods moeten we ook in de gaten houden.

Etappe 10 Tour de France 2022

12 juli: Morzine Les Portes du Soleil - Megeve 148 km

Wie Morzine zegt, zegt misschien niet direct Floyd Landis. Als je Floyd Landis zegt denkt de Tour-volgers waarschijnlijk wel heel snel aan die welhaast onmogelijk lange solo uit de Tour van 2006. In de 16e etappe wordt Landis helemaal naar huis gereden en komt op 8 minuten binnen. Een avondje doorzakken zorgde voor een wonderbaarlijk herstel. De 17e etappe met finish in Morzine wint Landis namelijk met 6 minuten voorsprong! Dat de Amerikaan later betrapt werd op doping, verbaasde niemand.

De tiende etappe finisht niet in Morzine, maar is wel de startplaats. Na 148 km koers passeren de helden van de Tour de France de finish in Megeve. Wij denken dat de klassementsrenners zich vandaag niet al te druk gaan maken. Schrijf de mannen die interesse hebben in de bolletjestrui maar op als favoriet. Het is wel een rit voor de echte klimmers. De slotklim naar Megeve is met 4% gemiddeld niet super lastig, maar met 20 km wel lang. De rasaanvallers moeten het hier naar verwachting afleggen tegen de lichtgewichten uit het peloton. Onze favorieten: Sepp Kuss (als hij mag aanvallen van de ploeg), Julian Alaphilipe, Guillaume Martin, Giulio Ciccone, Warren Barguil en Pierre Rolland. En toch ook maar stiekem Bauke Mollema. Wielrennen op TV 12 juli 2022 | De Tour gaat weer verder! Hoe laat moet je klaarzitten?

We moesten het een dagje zonder koers doen, maar dinsdag is er gelukkig weer gewoon wielrennen op TV te zien. De Tour de France gaat namelijk verder met de tiende etappe , wat er eentje voor de vluchters lijkt te gaan worden. Een mooie rit om de beeldbuis voor aan te zetten dus, en In de Leiderstrui vertelt je hoe laat je dat moet doen.

Na een welverdiende rustdag mogen alle overgebleven renners zich opmaken voor een dag vol heuvels. De avonturiers zullen deze dag met rood omcirkeld in hun agenda hebben, want de beklimmingen lijken niet zwaar genoeg voor de klassementsmannen te zijn. Om 13.40 uur beginnen de mannen eraan, om vervolgens rond de klok van 17.07 uur te finishen.

Uiteraard zijn er weer genoeg zenders van de partij die livebeelden aanbieden. Zo is Eurosport er al vanaf 13.15 uur bij op Eurosport 1 en de Eurosport Player , terwijl ook de NOS al om 13.22 uur inschakelt op NPO1 . Ook bij Sporza kun je zo'n anderhalf uur later (14.40 uur) terecht op Een . Op laatstgenoemde twee zenders wordt er in de avond nog nagebabbeld in respectievelijk De Avondetappe (21.22 uur) en Vive le Vélo (21.10 uur).

The 111th edition of the Tour de France starts in Florence, Italy, on Saturday, June 29 and ends three weeks later in Nice on Sunday, July 21. It is the first time the Tour starts in Italy and the first time it finishes in Nice to avoid the preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics Games, which begin just a week later.

The route of the world's biggest race covers a total of 3,492km with some 52,320 metres of overall elevation, passing through four nations – Italy, San Marino, France, and Monaco. It features two individual time trials for a total of 59km, four mountain-top finishes, a series of gravel sections on stage 9, and a final hilly time trial to Nice. The official route was unveiled on October 25 in a special ceremony in Paris.

Tour de France champion  Jonas Vingegaard  (Jumbo-Visma) won his second GC title last year and will be back to defend his title against top rival Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates), who finished second overall. Vingegaard is likely to face a huge challenge from not just Pogačar, but also Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-QuickStep) and former teammate turned rival Primož Roglič (Bora-Hansgrohe).

• Tour de France 2024 route

The 2024 Tour de France includes 52,230 metres of vertical gain across 3,492km of climbs, sprints and time trialling from Italy into France, with fewer high climbs than in the past and shorter stages. 

It is a balanced three weeks of racing that includes eight flat stages, four mountain-top finishes and two individual time trials, the final test against the clock is a hilly time trial to Nice that could create suspense. The race has 25km of racing above 2,000 metres and 27 mountains classified as second, first, or HC.

Florence, Italy, will host the team presentation, and stage 1 will roll out from Piazzale Michelangelo to open the Grand Tour for the first time. The first two stages are just over 200km each and include climbing, with the third day in Italy a flatter affair at 225km from Piacenza to Turin. 

Stage 4 heads into France and straight away to the Alps, with climbs across Sestriere, the Col de Montgenèvre and the Col du Galibier before a fast descent to Valloire. After two days with opportunities for breakaways and fast finishers, the first time trial comes on stage 7 at 25km. The first week ends with back-to-back stages ending in the champagne capital of Troyes to the southeast of Paris, including stage 9, which is a far tougher day due to the 14 sectors of gravel.

Week two of the 2024 Tour starts with a four-day ride south to the Pyrenees via the Massif Central and the rural France Profonde, with stages to Saint-Amand-Montrond, Le Lioran, Villeneuve-sur-Lot and then Pau. The Tour celebrates the Bastille Day holiday weekend in the Pyrenees with consecutive mountain finishes - stage 14 finishes in Pla d'Adet after climbing the Col du Tourmalet and the Hourquette d’Ancizan while stage 15 climbs the Portet d'Aspet and the Col d’Agnes for the finish up to Plateau de Beille.

Following the second rest day in Gruissan on the Mediterranean coast near the border with Spain on Monday, July 15, the final week leads into the Alps. The contenders should face a final shakeout once the race reaches stage 20, as the 2,802-metre high Cime de la Bonette and final ascent to Isola 2000 will be decisive. The final stage of the 2024 Tour is a 34km hilly time trial from Monaco to Nice.

Tour de France 2024 Contenders

Defending Tour de France champion  Jonas Vingegaard will again have a strong Jumbo-Visma team to support his quest for a third title, but this time, former team leader Primož Roglič has turned to rival as he looks to give Bora-Hansgrohe top billing. Vingegaard will also face huge challenges from Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) and Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-QuickStep). 

In the flat stages, look for last year's green jersey victor Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) to contest for another title against Fabio Jakobsen , now with Team dsm-firmenich, and Caleb Ewan , now with Jayco-AlUIa. And fastman Mark Cavendish (Astana Qazaqstan) is back for an 18th pro season to mix it up in the sprints, on the hunt for a record-breaking 35th Tour de France stage victory.

And there will be opportunities across the three weeks for breakaway riders to shine, including the likes of Julian Alaphilippe (Soudal-QuickStep), Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) and Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck).

TOTAL: 3492 km

This will be the first Grand Départ in Italy and the 26th that’s taken place abroad  First finale in Nice. Due to the Olympic and Paralympic Games taking place in Paris, the race will not finish in the French capital for the first time.

Two time trials. 25 + 34 = 59km in total, the second of them taking place on the final Monaco>Nice stage. This will be the first time the race has seen a finale of this type for 35 years, the last occasion being the famous Fignon - LeMond duel in 1989.

Apennines (Italy), the Italian and French Alps, Massif Central and Pyrenees will be the mountain ranges on the 2024 Tour route.

The number of countries visited in 2024: Italy, San Marino, Monaco and France. Within France, the race will pass through 7 Regions and 30 departments.

The number of bonus points 8, 5 and 2 bonus seconds go to the first three classified riders, featuring at strategic points along the route (subject to approval by the International Cycling Union)these will have no effect on the points classification. Bonuses of 10, 6 and 4 seconds will be awarded to the first three classified riders at road stage finishes.

Out of a total of 39, the locations or stage towns that are appearing on the Tour map for the first time . In order of appearance: Florence, Rimini, Cesenatico, Bologna, Piacenza, Saint-Vulbas, Gevrey-Chambertin, Colombey-les-Deux-Églises, Évaux-les-Bains, Gruissan, Superdévoluy, Col de la Couillole.

The number of sectors on white roads during stage nine, amounting to 32km in total .

The number of stages: 8 flat, 4 hilly, 7 mountain (with 4 summit finishes at Saint-Lary-Soulan Pla d’Adet, Plateau de Beille, Isola 2000, Col de la Couillole), 2 time trials and 2 rest days.

The number of riders who will line up at the start of the Tour, divided into 22 teams of 8 riders each.

The height of the summit of the Bonette pass in the Alps, the highest tarmac road in France, which will be the “roof” of the 2024 Tour.

The total vertical gain during the 2024 Tour de France.

PRIZE MONEY

A total of 2,3 million euros will be awarded to the teams and riders including € 500,000 to the final winner of the overall individual classification .

Tour 2022: Liveblog – Tom Pidcock soleert naar eerste Tourzege op Alpe d’Huez

De twaalfde etappe van de Tour de France 2022 is een rit die je niet wilt missen. Op 14 juli, de Franse nationale feestdag Quatorze Juillet , is de koninginnenrit over twee Tourcols en met aankomst op Alpe d’Huez.

Vanuit Briançon is het vals plat in een bijna rechte lijn naar de ‘makkelijke’ zijde van  Col du Galibier (8,6 km aan 6,8%). Voorafgaand aan deze Tourcol zit nog de  Col du Lautaret , die niet heel lastig is, maar met 26 kilometer wel ontzettend lang. Na de top volgt de afdaling via skistation Valloire en de Col du Télégraphe naar Saint-Michel-de-Maurienne.

Die stad is het startpunt van de Col de la Croix de Fer . Het is vooral de lengte (28,5 kilometer) en de onregelmatigheid wat de klim zwaar maakt. Het gemiddelde stijgingspercentage komt uit op 5% als gevolg van twee korte afdalingen. Na de afdaling wachten de fameuze 21 haarspeldbochten van Alpe d’Huez  (13,8 km aan 8,1%), waar de Tour voor de 31ste keer finisht.

Your pilgrimage begins as you depart the USA on your international overnight flight. 

Day 2 July 13 – Arrive in Athens

You will arrive in Athens, Greece, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to the port to board the Norwegian Viva. 

Day 3 July 14 – Thessaloniki, Greece 

Discover Thessaloniki, where Paul was accused of turning the world upside down with his preaching of Christ (Acts 17: 3 -6). As you explore St. George’s Basilica, believed to be built over the synagogue where Paul preached, reflect on the two epistles the Apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonian church here. Stroll through the Archaeological Museum and the beautiful basilicas of St. Sophia and St. Demetrios. St. Demetrios is dedicated to a distinguished Roman proconsul martyred for his Christian faith. Along the Via Egnatia stands the Galerius Arch, where you can look out over the second-largest city in Greece from the Old City Ramparts, some dating back to Roman times. 

Day 4 July 15 – Mykonos, Greece

Arrive today at the world-famous Greek Island of Mykonos, where gleaming whitewashed buildings seem to climb atop each other to reach the azure sky. Admire its many hills dotted with iconic windmills. Day 5 July 16 – Santorini, Greece

Dock in Santorini today, one of the most beautiful of the Greek islands, where picturesque, whitewashed villages topped with brilliant blue domes stand in stark contrast to the sheer-drop cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea. The island itself perches on the edges of a volcano whose eruption 3,500 years ago is thought to have led to the collapse of the Minoan civilization. Day 6 July 17 - Bodrum, Turkiye

Dock in the spectacular city of Bodrum where the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Ancient Wonders of the World was located, Drive to Miletus to see the ongoing excavations of where Paul bid farewell to the elders of the church at Ephesus at the end of his Third Missionary Journey (Acts 20). See the ruins of Didyma, whose oracle was considered second only to Delphi in the ancient Greek world. 

Day 7 July 18 - Rhodes, Greece

Get the real authentic Rhodes experience by exploring it on foot. Your walking tour will begin in the picturesque Old Town, where you will pass through and learn all about the agora and Collachium, where the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem lived and worked. Marvel at the stunning churches, exquisite Jewish quarter, the Inns of Knights, and the Palace of Grand Masters. You will then tour the palace interior and down the Street of Knights — its path paved with impressive marble and mosaics. Then, it’s on to the Hospital of Knights Museum, where you’ll learn all about the ins and outs of this majestic town. Afterward, stop for a refreshment in a local café. Exploring Rhodes on foot will inevitably leave a lasting impression on you. 

Day 8 July 19 - Heraklion, Greece 

Whether you visit Heraklion, Crete to admire the remains of ancient civilization or simply to soak in the rays on some of the best beaches in Europe, the city is guaranteed to delight and amaze you. Don’t miss one of the most popular attractions of Crete: the 3000-year-old Palace of Knossos located south of Heraklion. The Palace of Knossos was the ceremonial and political center of the Minoan civilization. Shore excursions today can be booked directly through Norwegian and are not included. 

Day 9 July 20– Disembark, Athens & Corinth, Greece

Discover the rich architectural splendor of the ancient city of Athens as your guide introduces you to the world-renowned Acropolis, the Propylaea, the Parthenon and the Erechtheum. Stand on Mars Hill as the Apostle Paul did when he proclaimed, “I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.” As you stroll the agora (ancient marketplace and center of Athenian public life), recall that this was where the Apostle Paul preached “Jesus and the resurrection” to the skeptical Athenians. Also, see the House of Parliament, the Presidential Palace, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This afternoon, tour the city of Corinth, where the Apostle Paul met fellow tentmakers Aquila and Priscilla and received a vision from the Lord saying, “I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.” As Paul spoke, Crispus (chief ruler of the synagogue) and many others believed and were baptized, establishing the church at Corinth to whom Paul later wrote his two epistles. Discover the archaeological museum, marketplace, and temples. As you walk among the ruins, stand on the Bema, where the Apostle Paul stood before Gallio to face charges brought against him by the Jews. 

Day 10 July 21 – Return to the USA

July 9 – Depart the USA

July 10 – Arrive in Rome Today you will arrive in Rome, Italy where you will be met by our representative and travel along the Appian Way. Step beneath the surface into the Catacombs of Callixtus, built along the Appian Way. Here 16 Popes from the 2nd through 4th Centuries were interred, though they have been removed to various churches over the centuries. Check in to your hotel this evening and enjoy dinner and rest.

July 11 - Ancient Rome Discover the history woven throughout Rome with visits to the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Forum, Circus Maximus, the Arch of Titus, the Baths of Caracalla, and the Arch of Constantine today. After touring, return to your hotel.

J uly 12 – Vatican City & Christian Rome Visit the Vatican and explore its museum. Marvel at the beauty of St. Peter’s Basilica and stand in awe of Michelangelo’s frescoes in the Sistine Chapel. Next, proceed to the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls. The present structure stands over the place where Constantine built the first church, which was over Saint Paul’s grave. The church features a portrait of every pope who has served the church. Climb the graceful Spanish Steps and stop at the famous Trevi Fountain before returning to your hotel this evening.

July 13 - Travel to Athens Fly from Rome to Athens. Upon landing in Athens, you will be transferred to the Port of Piraeus to board the Norwegian Viva.

Guests taking an extension may be on a different flight than their group and/or traveling companion.
